A Master Degree in Junk Journal is what you’ve created for us in this series. The level of detailed information, time, and love that you put into this is Astounding!!! Also, packing while making both German and English versions. Wow!!! Thank you so much!!! I hope all is going smoothly with your move and you know how much we appreciate you!!! Take your time and know that we are here when you come back!!!!!❤
I am 😂 at your struggle in this video, because I’ve been unpacking all summer, from having my craft stash in storage for two years! Your difficulties made my week, because I finally know that I’m not struggling alone! Thank you!
Your process is that of a true artist - unique, a little obsessive, a creative 'musician' with solid materials. In the end it all comes together like an orchestra.
Wow! This is so cool! I can’t believe how your life must be right now with preparing to move. Moving with lots of craft supplies is so difficult….ask me how I know….lol! My heart goes out to you. It’s so sweet of you to keep filming while all your personal life is being turned upside down. Maybe now since you film ahead you are already moved and enjoying a new home area. I will go to your next video now to see the flip through of this gorgeous journal….see you soon…lol! 😊
1. Your trash fabric makes me think about pants I wore as a kid in the 1970’s. They were perhaps not so very fluffy.. but maybe a little bit.. they were corduroy.. but that color! ❤❤ 2. I truly hope your move went well and that the problems you encountered were resolved quickly and easily 3. By coincidence, I have just been scouring your Etsy shop for some pages that remind me of Germany. My daughter will be going there in a week and I would like to have a travel junk journal waiting for her when they get home. From Germany she and her husband will be going to Italy to attend a wedding of some friends- but not Rome. 4. Also the last time I was in Germany was the 1970s. Perhaps in my slightly fluffy pants. I love it when I learn things, enjoy the content of a video, and have a personal connection that evokes a nice memory. I think the circle is complete. Hope you have landed happily in Deutschland🎉❤
WOW! From the comments I read below, I hope you know how much we all love you, not only for the incredible and ingenious journals and other elements you create, but also because of your online, long-distance friendship you share, wonderful personality and humor, and for you just being you. You're a beautiful person, Luise and we all appreciate you much more than you could possibly know. I'm happy you're moving back to Germany where you were born and raised; I hope you're happy and excited too. I also hope and Pray that all is well with your personal world. I wish you an enjoyable, safe and successful move. I look forward to seeing you again in your new surroundings, but please, take your time and make the most of it. We will be patient and await your creative return. Blessings, good luck, and friendly hugs.
Luisa, your ideas and how you make your journals are genius! I haven’t made a full junk journal yet, and you have so much to teach to me after making over 100. Wow!!! Thanks so much for all the love you put into each of your creations, and for teaching me all your ways of making your incredible junk journals. I hope your move goes well, my friend, and you stay safe and sound. Much love!❤❤❤
Luise...you are amazing and so talented. I cannot comprehend how you continually outdo your previous journal. Wow, such talent and creativity. You are truly gifted. I am so excited to hear you are moving ( wink wink) I hear the happiness in your voice. TFS and fir inspiring. ❤Nebraska USA ❤
Your pages and ephemera that you stitch around are very attractive and add some pazazse to your journals. I haven't sewed in any of my journals. I'll have to do that in my next set of journals. I absolutely love the doilies, especially the one on the cover with the laces. It's fantastic !!
Wishing you all good things as you experience a new adventure. Come back to us as we will be waiting to hear from our fearless companion. Thank you for all your inspiring tutorials! 👏🤟💫
I just revisited these two videos. I made a mini journal following your videos 2 years ago and just got the itch to do it again. Thank you. This is a classic!!!
Beautiful journal, Luise! I say it every time, love watching you work and hearing your thought process. ❤ I hope your move is successful by now and you are happy happy happy! I will admit to feeling nostalgic about your caravan on the camp site. 😊 I hope we will get a tour of your new place when you are settled! Best of the best to you! ❤
OMG, you just answered questions that I was asking myself only last night. Thank you thank you thank you. You have created yet another beautifully inspirational journal. Love your creations ❤
Luise, you have done an excellent job with this series of making a journal. You’ve given many tricks and info that can be so helpful to both the beginner and the more experienced journal maker. Hope the move has gone well and you are settling in. It must be exciting moving back to Germany, knowing so many friends and relatives are closer. Hubby, the two kitties, and me are moving into a home, one mile in between our 2 daughters and granddaughters. I’m getting a 20 ft art room! Leaving our cute cottage and property is bittersweet, however this is a good move for us, especially since we aren’t getting any younger! We’ll still be on the southern coast of Maine, we just won’t have so much property to maintain. Be well and we’ll see you soon.😊
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for finishing your amazing journal and during a stressful time moving. It is not easy no matter how much stuff you have.❤
Thank you so much Louise for doing this series of making a JJ - I haven't done one yet, so these videos has helped me so much, so grateful & happy for these videos ❤Now I can watch & make the videos I've saved, to make one when I have some more items I want. Happy moving & good luck with your new house - are you throwing a "movinginparty" 🥳lol = what we call it in Sweden, when having moved to a new place. I guess the "party's" aren't like they ones was decades ago. Neighbors complaint about to loud music & to much noice, every weekend. Long time ago for me. Wishing you well & I'm very excited to see your new place🪴🏡💕
This journal is so special! One of my favorite colors. I wouldn’t have thought about using that fabric for a cover, but it is so yummy! I hope you are getting settled in your new home… looking forward to the flip through…..oxoxoxox
😂❤🎉🌹✨🐝😎.... Hey, Miss Luise... Thx for sharing your creativity wiff us... Appreciated these videos so muchly... 🎉🥂 🤞 🌹... Sincerely Sincere, Miss Judith ❤ ✨ 🌹
What a beautiful cover! I feel for you having to move your craft room. Nevermind the rest of the house. The craft room is the hardest to move and re set up. I’d love to see the process of that.
You can use a piece of postcard weight paper to separate glued papers, like the papers on your paperbag. (I use the postcard that comes with Simon Says Stamp orders.) Just "saw" between the papers. It really works. I learned that hack from Tim Holtz.
OMGOSH LUISE!! You have outdone yourself again!! I know everyone else is loving this series as much as I am!! I am excited you’re excited to move back to Germany! Can’t wait to see a new craft room video perhaps?? I am wondering about sewing in the signatures… it looks like you put both the inside and outside materials together and then sewed the signatures through both (so no hidden spine?) I noticed Barbara did that also on her soft cover and just wondering why you did that instead of a hidden spine? Thank you for your thoughts on this and most of all Thank you for your endless knowledge, encouragement and impact that you so generously bestow on all of us ❤️
Hope all goes well on your move. It’ll be exciting to see your new setup. I’ll miss your tiny house but glad for you. Beautiful journal. Love the cover.
This series has been so helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to finish it! I love how this is coming together. That found fabric is gorgeous! It's such a warm and golden color! Congratulations on the move! How exciting! I hope everything goes smoothly from here on out and you are settling in to your new place!
Good luck with your move, I can’t imagine how difficult it must be, it’s hard enough moving within the same country, but moving from one country to another must be very intense! Not to worry, we will be here when you have time for us again! Be safe, and be happy! P.S. This journal is so lovely, and the cover is gorgeous!
Really enjoyed watching your process. There are some great points in there and I can't wait to give this way of making a journal cover a try. Best of luck with your move!
That's a hard question. I decide if soft or hard depending on the material I wanna use for the cover and also what fits better to the theme of the journal
Wow a Tim Hortons bag!!! Do you have that store there? Or did someone send it to you?Its my favorite donut shop/ sandwich shop!!! Have you tried the apple fritters if you have it there?.. There are 3 near me .. All very near Lake Erie in Western New York…. Always enjoy your vids! 🌻💕

I just went through that, too. Almost all of my belongings went into storage in June of 23. I didn't get them out again until Feb
17-2024

I believe the golden fabric you have used is called velvet and use to be very popular for curtains as well as upholstery😊
Lovely cover Luise. I hope that the move goes better in the future and we soon see videos from your new home and new crafting space. Xx

Stunning cover and journal
💜
I absolutely love thus. I'm struggling with fabric covers question? Does the stitching show inside?
That is a gorgeous cover ❤
Do you prefer soft or hard covers for your journals? Your videos are always so inspiring. ❤❤
That's a hard question. I decide if soft or hard depending on the material I wanna use for the cover and also what fits better to the theme of the journal
Luise, how does one purchase your junk journals? I don't see them listed on Etsy. I love this journal.
At the moment I don't have journals on Etsy listed. As soon as the next one is finished, it's going to be listed there
Luise, did you have any trouble sewing the multiple layers of your cover with the lace there at the end?
No, no problem with the sewing. But I have a pretty good machine, the one from my grandma. It can sew also a bit thicker materials.
@@luiseheinzl very good - because of this video, I just bought my very first sewing machine!!
