    The 100k mile warranties that come with these vehicles is a joke for the most part. They will just say the issue you are having is within factory specs. My wife and I lived it, we know what their extended warranty game is.

    •  23 дня назад +11

      Most dealers do this- find some reason to not cover any repairs under the warranty. Nissan lost me as a customer after they would never fix anything even though I had their platinum extended warranty

    • @car-diologist
      @car-diologist 23 дня назад +10

      Yea, you are not alone. My wife and I purchased a new Kia because it's all we could afford at the time, that 3 yr 36k much less the 10 yr 100k mile warranty means absolutely nothing. We would've purchased a used Honda or Toyota if we had known better. Thankfully, we are currently doing much better these days.

    • @ij6708
      @ij6708 23 дня назад

      @@car-diologist That's so weird to me. My colleague bought a used optima from 2014 off a private listing site and the engine seized on him after about 2 years right on the dot around 140000 Km something they are known to do. Yet Kia honored the extended engine warranty which comes with GDIs from that time and replaced the engine + labor cost. Guess they were forced to because of the lawsuit. Having spoken to a Kia mechanic working at a dealership, they always have 10+ of these engines sitting and waiting for cases like this. This must really be costing them a lot as most of these engine replacements are pro bono probably why they are so stingy in honoring traditional warranties

      I'm old. Years ago I purchased a "3rd party" extended warranty because I was purchasing a used Dodge. Wasted money, no help. In 2014, I purchased a "Ford" extended warranty on a used Ford at a Ford dealership financed via Ford Motor Credit.
      I thought, "this should be better, being Ford in-house" so forth. NOT SO. Another waste of money. ("sucker")
      Shame on you, then shame on me. Don't buy "extended warranties" people. They are just paper service contracts with tons of loopholes/exceptions to avoid paying your claims. Save your money. Find good local non-dealer mechanics. Learn from my mistakes.

      @@NVRAMboi Sorry to hear about your Ford Factory Extended Warranty. I purchased several Chrysler Factory Warranties back in the day and was happy with all of them. Same with a Honda warranty more recently. On the other hand, third party warranties are certainly not worth the paper they're printed on.
      Of course, big corporations are becoming experts at stealing peoples money. The recent episode where GM refused to fix flaws in their vehicles which are due to "design defects" is most egregious. But Toyotas refusal to fix melting plastic which they claim was due to a "unexpected thermal event", isn't far behind. Companies who steal from their customers deserve to go out of business.
