Yes, many of us here have abused a breadboard to hold pins straight while soldering on a perfboard. Can't get get it too hot! The twisted and mangled male DuPont jumpers were also funny. Just can't get them in the holes sometimes!
I love how you do such complicated and lengthy things, yet you stop to remind everyone the polarity of an LED xD. If we aren't going to understand something, that won't be it.
excited for the fusion video with cody. always have thought fusion was the ultimate goal for making things at home. I've actually looked into building a smaller reactor with a diffusion pump instead of a turbo pump and around a 3.5-6" diameter spherical chamber, just never have had the money yet.
Squid Sunday just buy an led and a watch battery boom and when the teacher says that its lazy point out that you made a working light out of 2 components that most people have while everyone else needed more components and that they used components that they had to go out of their way to obtain or to order. so is it lazy or is it genius.
I'm curious about what sort of neutron detector you bought. I'm a grad student in nuclear engineering, and I know those tubes are sometimes not great, are really expensive, or are really *really* expensive (like the 3He ones). Also, if it's a BF3 tube, be careful. They can corrode from the inside and break open unexpectedly, especially if it's old. A couple friends of mine got to spend a day at the hospital because a BF3 tube broke open when they were disconnecting the coax. The building had to be evacuated for a few hours also.
I have an idea... Can you make dc to dc isolated power converter.... Did you know about ground looping effect....if any audio amplifier connect with a same supply of Audio source their would be unknown blipping sound.... So make something that isolates power supply... Very fun project...
Keystone, just a heads up about your fusion project. Id say the hardest aspect of making one is sustaining the very low vacuum. So invest from the start in a good pump.
Keystone Science is the Tesla coil circuit a spark gap type or other? If it's a sgtc what are you going to use as the power supply? Plz respond. Hoping to make my own some day
Does the lm324 have a protection against negative voltage? You powered it with +3V so it should in theory break after some time because it reaches an input signal lower than 0V
I remember trying to make some with LM3915 in early college. With the aux port, it came out pretty good, but it was early college. Shit was as fragile as an apple product.
Thanks for the video. Much easier way to make VU meter is to use ladder of diodes (type/amout depends on input voltage and resolution) and a bunch of transitors. Of course your design is much more flexible, and overall more professional.
Personally I'd love to see some experiments on the effects of electrical plasma on various fluids. I've done a few myself and found the reaction to be somewhat explosive and entertaining. As i don't currently have the ability to produce videos and it seems to be something you'd be able to do I thought I'd suggest it.
That is a really hacky way of driving the LEDs. I find driving them with a transistor is far easier and more effective. I am guessing that is why you had several extra LEDs on the breadboarded version; some were staying on and some were not getting power and you had to trial and error it. Connect the base of a PNP to the comparator output, emitter to V+, and collector to your LED. I have a really crappy video on my channel that shows me driving LEDs via transistor. It is a 3-bit FSM. Anyway cool video. I will probably try it over the weekend.
It's so finicky to adjust and doesn't have quite enough movement because you made the divisions linear. It would help to make them exponential. You don't need a lot of resistor values to make exponential divisions, you can do for example R/2R resistor ladder to produce reference voltages. Oh, to go with it, you might want an exponential regulator for the input too... well... you can bias a linear potentiometer to get eerily close, and better than logarithmic pots that you can actually buy. Look at "Better Volume Controls" on Rod Eliott's website. Of course it needs to go into a high impedance input, so this is not a universally applicable hack.
Is a nice explaination to show how it's done, but the PCB demo is SUPER short and under weird angle AND lit up. NOW a catch: show us how to make NON-digital VU work. maybe add a few diodes to light the thing up, but overall just show how retro tech like this works.
Ooo so ur gonna be messing with radiation soon? Can u make a giger counter ? (No clue if i spelled gyger, gigar, guyger, gieger, right..) Ps . Diggin the stache good sir
Rocking Science you cant make a supercapacitor by yourself unless you have the right equipment. And I can ensure you that it is so much cheeper to just buy them.
Blabla Blabla no I asked keystone if I could challenge him to make something from my channel like two months ago I really don't know if he would reply now
Hey Nate! I sent you a letter in the mail! Mine was the one with the wax seal of my logo. I am a guy about to launch the full scale premier of my new channel. We have an office, an editor and animator, and we are about to get right into it! I would love to be able to have your input and perhaps work with you! Make sure to see that letter! Anyways! Have a wonderful day -Daniel
VU meter is *NOT a spectrum analyzer*
it's literally "volume unit meter" which measures just volume, nothing else
other than that, great one!
But it’s a volume spectrum analyzer in a sense ;)
well, technically yes...
maybe rename the video to "How to make a volume spectrum analyzer" then?
:]
How about a Geiger counter? If you haven’t already
A nuclear fusion reactor with Cody! Boy it's gonna be a hell of a ride
BHU1 LORD see BennBuilds
Yeah amazing, didn't know cody was doing it with keystone, but amazing! My 2 favourite youtubers together on an awesome project, HYPED!
You should make a buck/boost converter next. Like if you agree
Welcome back.
I like these electric vids. I need to learn these things. Been going to like forever, but focus always kept me in other areas
Make a shaving apparatus to get that thing off your upper lip :)
Hahaha xD
it's called a "stache that needs a lot of time to get anywwhere"
No you don’t make that you just THIS VIDEO IS SPONSORED BY DOLLAR SHAVE CLUB
Wow! That breadboard had sure seen better days. It is pretty burned and melted on the power rails. Haha!
he probably hooked a tesla coil up to it ;)
Yes, many of us here have abused a breadboard to hold pins straight while soldering on a perfboard. Can't get get it too hot! The twisted and mangled male DuPont jumpers were also funny. Just can't get them in the holes sometimes!
I destroyed my one to

I die a little inside whenever i hear someone say "PCB board".
Fair point
Here's another one for you: LCD display.
Oh that's not enough? How about... USB bus!
Still here? OK. SMPS power supply!

I remember when I was in high school I designed a vu meter with zenners, looks like fun to try your circuit.
The next video better be out before Thursday I have a science project and I need to build a nuclear reactor just kidding I need to build a flashlight
Squid Sunday just buy an led and a watch battery boom and when the teacher says that its lazy point out that you made a working light out of 2 components that most people have while everyone else needed more components and that they used components that they had to go out of their way to obtain or to order. so is it lazy or is it genius.
josh greg
If you're at home, it's genius.
if you're at school it's lazy.
But that's the difference between School in the real world isn't it. Lol

Can't wait for the Cody's Lab collab!
I've just recently seen this JLC PCB company, seems really good to get more involved with PCB and get a professional finish.
Do you have any idea how to make a passive analog audio delay circuit? If so please show me where I find that information.
You went from a 12 year old boy to 1 30 year old man... how long have you been gone?!
I have an idea... Can you make dc to dc isolated power converter.... Did you know about ground looping effect....if any audio amplifier connect with a same supply of Audio source their would be unknown blipping sound.... So make something that isolates power supply... Very fun project...
Watch out for that fusion reactor. Your shielding material may sponge up, flake apart, and grow in size while gaining some radioactivity.
Keystone, just a heads up about your fusion project. Id say the hardest aspect of making one is sustaining the very low vacuum. So invest from the start in a good pump.
Hey I had questions about making my own wind turbine that would make DC power. How shld I orientate the magnets and the wires!?!?
Keystone Science is the Tesla coil circuit a spark gap type or other? If it's a sgtc what are you going to use as the power supply?

How did you get into making all these electronic project, and how can I get into doing it?
Would I be able to use a electrit condenser mic on this, would it change the circuit?
Favourite RUclips channel ever!
Is there any idea for dot style not graph style
2:30 waitwaitwait
you two are making a fusor reactor?
YES! Thanks for this video, love it
Instead of using 2 LM324s, couldn’t you use just one LM3914? Wouldn’t this be more cost effective and add more perks (like brightness control)?
I think you should make a static electricity detector, its quite easy to make and pretty fun.
What efficiency are you and Cody hoping to get on the fission reactor
I remember trying to make some with LM3915 in early college. With the aux port, it came out pretty good, but it was early college. Shit was as fragile as an apple product.
Could they make a referral link, so you get something as well whenever people buy things?
Nice !
Doesn't grey PVC have carbon in it if so your not winding a secondary your winding a resistor and it will heat up (never use black PVC neither).
6:09 - BREADBOARD DAMAGE!!
The mark of a true conflicted madman.
Can you make a flyback driver from a transistor and a resistor only...
Mustache is coming in nicely sir!
please make a video showing us how to make the circuit on a software
Pls make the video for making the PCB inn a software
Thanks for the video. Much easier way to make VU meter is to use ladder of diodes (type/amout depends on input voltage and resolution) and a bunch of transitors. Of course your design is much more flexible, and overall more professional.
Wow neutron detector that's something new!!! Gr8 bro
Haha, really looking like a seriously looking professor with that mustache
Love the melted hole in the breadboard at 5:32 😂
LOOK WHOS BACK!!
what uni degree do u have sir?
Personally I'd love to see some experiments on the effects of electrical plasma on various fluids. I've done a few myself and found the reaction to be somewhat explosive and entertaining. As i don't currently have the ability to produce videos and it seems to be something you'd be able to do I thought I'd suggest it.
Can you please make a video how to make (arc attack )'s musical tesla coil
Michael samir that will cost a lot of time
Very cool! Can you just as easily make a Spectrum Analyzer??! :D
Great vid! Enjoyed it!
yo where is the PCB design videos? cool pcb design videos pls ? love your contents
Yea neutron counter!!! cant wait for that
Very clean pcb build!! On my way to shop 😏
Fusion reactor!?!Notifications turned on!
(Regarding the 'stach) i did the same thing my freshman year brother. Keep it up! Let it grow don't listen to the haters.
Please do an episode about designing a PCB.

Make a basics video on comparator
what kind of engineer are you electrical or electronic plz ans me,i need to decide my future on that.
I used to be electrical, but I am in applied physics
Keystone Science thank you so muck
can i have you e mail
No problem! Yeah for sure! It’s sequence01123581321@gmail.com
Keystone Science sir, it shows that address not found,do you have and other email than 01123581321@gmail.com
Hey thank you for supporting Cody’s lad you may want to message him he seem off
Wow I will wait for that great nuclear reactor video!
Yes make a jlcpcb video I just made a running led PCb board
You should make a Van De Graaff generator!
what a handsome mustache, sir

When you say fusion reactor, are you talking an electrostatic fusor? Because I think you can do better than that
After a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you make a video of microwaveing a running Tesla coil
01:05 is why I watch this.
I know what you mean keystone... about the Tesla coil. I think you could fix it with something called Corona Dope.
Is a nice explaination to show how it's done, but the PCB demo is SUPER short and under weird angle AND lit up. NOW a catch: show us how to make NON-digital VU work. maybe add a few diodes to light the thing up, but overall just show how retro tech like this works.
I am so looking forward for the nuclear reactor
If you love Science and Exploring or even need help Join Our Discord Server: discord.gg/jDCfqey
So I was interested in this topic until you started talking about the fusion reactor... that's way more interesting, please make it happen soon 👍
Ooo so ur gonna be messing with radiation soon?
Can u make a giger counter ?
(No clue if i spelled gyger, gigar, guyger, gieger, right..)
Ps . Diggin the stache good sir
Geiger :)
Anyone else think it was a typo for uv?
You need to practice smd soldering
Do a co-lab with Electro boom
So just like the comparator in minecraft
After fusion reactor. Make fission reactor.
A nuclear fussion reacter😱😱😱😱😱!!!
Hey if you're not busy then can I challenge you in my next video if yes it will most probably be about making a super capacitor
Rocking Science you cant make a supercapacitor by yourself unless you have the right equipment. And I can ensure you that it is so much cheeper to just buy them.
Blabla Blabla no I asked keystone if I could challenge him to make something from my channel like two months ago I really don't know if he would reply now
Yay!!😂😂
You could be the son of Cody’s lab (Cody Dawn). Who knows?
Ivin Zabriskie do your mean, Cody-Don?
How to Make a neutron gun
theres an 8 bit micro in every resistors...
Love from India♥
U are best
You look 10 years older and I don't know why, You're great tho even if you look 30 in this video!
Anyways! Have a wonderful day

A NUCLEAR WHAT????!??!?!?!!!?!?!?!
At last after so many months you uploaded a video i thought that you were not gonna upload any video so i was going to unsubscribe you but not now
XRAY????
Thermal detection
made a rail gun
Nice trash stache. All i had was a creeper goatee until i was 30...
Autorouter was used lol
No, autorouter wouldn't even make diagonal traces from pad corners.
Azagro altium Had a that feature i think
DatAssSVK This is not made in Altium Designer.
Azagro okay
Sub sub.
You’re cute
