Wish he went back to videos & social media pictures. Podcasts & articles just seem impersonal. Made me follow up on him less but i’ll never forget how big a help he used to be
His website is so robust, all his content is there. It would be great to get more videos but I totally get it. It takes a lot of time to edit quality content.
In an age where the definition of manliness is shaken by the popular media and third wave feminism, I think your videos, podcasts, articles are greatly appreciated and contribute towards resilient and more knowledgeable men. Thanks for updating us about the RUclips channel.
when the "true feminism" you speak of is not the face of actual feminism anymore there isnt really much to confuse. People like Christina Hoff Sommers get attacked and outcast by feminists. so yea much respect but still - do not defend feminism. There is no need for it anymore in the western world. be egalitarian if you want to. or go to our arab friends and preach feminism there. But be warned you might get called racist for doing so (by feminists lmao :D)
Every now and then I wonder what happened to this channel. Now is such a time. All I find are hundreds of hour long podcasts that I'll never listen to. Don't get me wrong, I still have the app. Yet honestly, I don't even know if the articles on it are fresh or written years ago and just being churned out to keep it active. Its great stuff and all but another youtube video will naybe give your brand a new lease of life. Right now it feels a bit out of touch. Abandoned. It not too late though. Basically everone knows you antway- it could easily go viral. I honestly hope your working on some crazy comeback though. I look forward to seeing it
When I first started watching your videos I thought the art of manliness was just some channel with another cool name but after a while I figured out the channel is doing so much more than totourials. But after understanding it more I realized that he was trying to help us restore are masculinity so some people who's watched his video might say oh he just wants to make money no he wants to make a difference in people's lives and help them in prove in all manners THANK You BRETT
How about you put the podcast up on RUclips. Just tape it in a good spot so that it is visually appealing and upload it then, because I prefer to watch it as a video instead of just listening to the podcasts.
Or upload without a video, I'd like that too. I was listening to them on Outcast on my phone, but they only store 200 episodes and the old ones were being deleted as I was making my way through the list, would appreciate a permanent one I can listen to or download somewhere.
May this man thrive and prosper with his other ventures. Even if this channel were to upload no more videos, or indeed only bad videos from now on, I for one am staying subscribed. Such good content, I will never tire of revisiting his tutorials to date.
I'm glad a lot of my favorite content creators have found success outside of RUclips. This is not the platform it was back in 2008 and functions mainly as a stepping stone to private hosting for the savvy, and for those that are still trying to bleed that ad revenue stream dry with Patreon supplementing, they either had their integrity evaporate overnight or the quality suffered greatly. So AoM, i say keep on keeping on. Love the content.
I do miss the videos and understand your preference for podcasts. The background music is pleasing and the brevity works well with my tight schedule. Congratulations on AOM's growth. It was a pleasure meeting you at Constellation.
I didn't get a copy of your new book, I bought two--one for me and one for my 17 year old son...so glad you're hard at it; if there ever was a time for us to improve ourselves, this is it.
Thanks a lot mister McKay, Not just for the explanation but for all of the great work you have done. Always when I have to cycle back home from school I listen to your podcast. I'm beginning with making a workout routine, l am planning on buying some of your books and tons more. Greetings: Ken Petit, the Netherlands (15 yo)
Hey Ken, I'm glad you are killing it! I'm a 15 year old myself and its great seeing more teens who take care of their lives at such a young age, I swear most of the people my age I know are very lazy people who like to play video games and do nothing for a day hahaha.
Brett I don't know if you're gonna see this, but I just want you to know that what you're doing is more important than you could ever know. I often tell myself that hope is for the weak, but when I look at what you're doing I cannot help but feel hope for future generations. Not just with the website, (though that's done incredible work), but with the Strenuous Life program, that (should you execute it at the right time and with the right technique) could literally change *everything*.
I listen to a lot of podcasts and yours is so far above almost all of them. What really sets you apart is the quality of your interviews. You ask thoughtful, informed questions and even your guests seem to appreciate the level of thoughtfulness you put into crafting focused conversations that will interest your listeners.
About 1 1/2 years ago i discovered this channel. The cold showers video made me start taking cold showers everey morning. Now i have done it for all this time and it helped me get rip of neurodermatitis. Nice to see you are back.
I've had poor mental health for the past few years and these videos played a massive part in keeping me going and recovering because their format made it all incredibly accessible. Since my health improved the books have also become a big help, and the articles are interesting compliments to daily life. That being the case, I'm just happy there will be more videos at some point in the future Keep up the brilliant work!
Mr.Bret, thank you for your motivational videos. Currently 35 and going through my first and hopefully last divorce while trying to maintain a leadership position at work. It has help me dial in on some personal responsibilities that a man should own and carry out, again thank you for your insight and knowledge that you share.
I really hope you do great with all your projects, although I really believe you just shot yourself in the foot by giving up youtube. I think you lost a great opportunity to reach (and keep) a bigger audience. You were really good. But I don't know! I wish you the best, and thank you for all your content.
I have started watching this channel after you stopped posting new videos regurally but I must say I really appreciate this Info that you will still be posting new ones. I don't care if it's gonna be regular or not. I am just lookig forward to see them. Take care Brett!
You are one of the best out there, serious. This type of content is sooo needed lately, especially seeing as the way of proper manhood and conduct is being lost. Thanks man, for everything!
almost 3 years later, only 1 real youtube video posted. only podcasts posted with about 100 views a piece on here. really wish he would continue making his old style vids.
I was first introduced to Art of Manliness several years ago through the website and I read loads & loads of articles! Nice to know you have a RUclips channel. I just subscribed😉
I thought men kept their word? Come back man produce actual videos. This channel got me through high school and it's sad to see that it's only doing podcast now.
I have only seen the 50s style videos, I will not lie. I was a bit disappointed to see it wasn't more like that and you haven't done any real videos since 2017.
You're fantastic. Thank you for being a father when many don't have one, and I support you in your shift in energy. Two things though; I ultimately believe you will reach more young men on RUclips. I think it's much more likely that the twenty and younger young men to find you on RUclips, so I'm glad you will still be working on RUclips to an extent, but it's up to you and your own judgement how much energy you'll put into it. Second thing is I'd love to see more of The Art of Manliness store come alive. Maybe some pull up bars, weights, French Coffee presses, and so forth. Overall your business has taken it's toll on the hours I sleep, the amount of work I do, and how tired I am at the end of the day. I think that means you've taught me well. Thank you kindly.
You're an incredible human being, Brett. AoM and your podcasts are changing my life in such a positive way every day. I'll be signing up for the next Strenuous Life class in January. In the meantime, I'll be finishing up reading my Theodore Roosevelt bios.

My thoughts Exactly.
yea much respect, but still - please don't confuse misandry and stupidity with true feminism.

Leonel Ortiz I agree, but I like that he doesn't go there.

with these many subscribers, you should seriously consider finding someone to help you keep producing the videos.
Christopher Teale Yeah Its very strange to see an almost 1 million youtube channel say hes not going to make videos soon.
The best way to monetise a million viewers is to direct them to more lucrative projects and/or a patreon - which is exactly what he's doing~
