+Joe Camarillo Perhaps. I can say however, the COMAND system on the 2015+ C-class are inherently complicated vs. the older gen. version. My mother has a 2013 C350 and the Comand in that was easier to use than the 2015 C300 we got as a loaner.
Two things: One: MB may have built the UK models first vs. the North American cars; the 2015 C300 I've driven automatically LOCKS out all navigation function when speeds exceed 20km/h or ~15mph. The only input available then is via Voice Command on the steering wheel. Two: I was wondering when somebody would do a Diesel Hybrid. I wished we get this option here in North America.
I really don't understand where they get half their opinions from Noisy? It's noisy if you're flooring it hard but so are all cars, if you're cruising or accelerating normally you don't hear or feel a thing Gear change snatchy? It's literally one of the best autos I've ever seen, so quick and flawless through the gears and never feel a thing
They didn't really test the driving here did they. I would like to hear more about how the car rides on the road, how it handles at speed, how maneuverable it is, how well the hybrid system works on the road etc.. We can all see it looks smart with a lush interior. I don't need to be told that, I have eyes :-)
+soundseeker63 Don't know about the hybrid system, but I have driven the new C-class. A 220 diesel. The ride is very nice. The car copes with bumps nicely and there is little body roll. I can imagine driving it all day and not have to stop for a break. It's very comfortable. Like most Mercedes, speed driving is not a problem. I drove at 180kmh and didn't find the car as loud as fifth gear say. You put the car in sport mode and you get snappy gear changes and better throttle response. I loved driving it in sport mode. Maneuverability is very good. Mercedes' steering allows you to take some very tight city corners with no problems. I have a W203 and it's more maneuverable in the city, than a mate's old Mazda. I mean on full lock you almost start going sideways XD And it's the same thing with the new C-class. Tho I do have to say that the comand system can be a bit sluggish, cause of the fancy animations. And for some reason the linguatronic voice activation didn't quite understand me. Both in english and in german.
I've had a 68 plate a class Had 7 k on the clock the auto 7 speed box was faulty from 1st it would go straight into 6th gear was told it's a common fault be aware
That navigation system actually works great. I've used it for a while now and it's actually really easy when you're used to it. I can write entire very complicated dutch adresses in 25 seconds
I totally agreed with you. I got w205 used at 65000km when I bought it. It it totally a bomber. I drove to 75k, the water broken. At 85k roof can not be close properly , I heard wind noise from top of my head . 90k my w205 music base is not functional 😅 and arm rest silver start to peel off. Oh forgot my front driver side market light is on forever. It's lemon . Gas cap string also broken. My car only has 98k
Hi: In my 2017 C300, I had Climate Control set to 'on' (Auto) before entering a tunnel, and the windows fogged up when I exited. Doesn't it automatically adjust the air intake flaps and open them upon exiting? Or do I have to do something to prevent fogging? Any help would be much appreciated
what a gem of a car ^^ but ya i tried the screen thingy on the S500 and that thing was SLOW with all its animations and we were on a red light and the owner couldn't turn off the massaging seats in time and the light went green and by the next light the same thing happened its just not very thought off screen to put in a car ... ITS A CAR WE NEED SIMPLE FAST EFFECTIVE OPTIONS !!! i don't have all day long to look at the animations ((they are sexy indeed)) and we just want to turn on/off what ever we need in time to get back to driving !!
Isn't it weird how its illegal to use a mobile phone while you're driving because its "too distracting" but you're allowed to fiddle about with with an infotainment system like this which looks wayyy more complicated to use and that's totally fine?
Good car in overall, mine is fully loaded with air suspension, upgraded command, intelligent LED lights. Just loved but...after 100k covered I can clearly say that it only looks good . 2 times NOX sensors been replaced, gearbox after 73k miles been replaced with E machine , flywheel and TCU and after another 29k it jammed up and doesn't want to change gears in automatic mode ( lucky I've got paddle shifts ) . All does faults came up after manufacturer warranty ( don't ask for hybrid gearbox price tag ) . I was planning to buy new plug in hybrid E class but after all that bad experience with quality definitely wouldn't buy another one ever. ( it's a bit sad for me because it's my 3th merc but I don't feel they build relaiber cars anymore ) .
I’ve got absolutely the same car with same colour etc... car it’s self is great fun and gearbox is good and quick especially driving in Sport or Sport+
idk if this is a good idea since good ideas seem good on paper and bad in practice but they could have a split keyboard on the steering wheel to be able to type with your thumbs just as you would on a phone, but maybe that would just encourage people to text while driving
I have this car and the nav is a garmin which makes the interior look cheap the merc sat navs are much nicer on the eye. Also doesn’t come up with speed limit signs like the older models
Good looks, modern kit, but that diesel including the 220 and 250cdi are noisey compared to much of the competition.... 350cdi is way to go, but the eco freaks have killed that choice in a C Class, so it's the BMW 330D for me .... still one of the best engines in the world.
that's quite great, you guys are awesome and do everything the right missing newer series of fifth gear on Discovery turbo in India, Don't know why they stopped it? kindly, do the review of new Skoda Superb & Ford Mustang , Really wanna se this 2 reviewed by you guys
I always loved the way Audis looked from 2010 and present, but always loved the way BMW performed. I must admit the C class blows out of the water the A3,A4 , BMW 3 and 4 series sedans in design.
It's called COMAND most probably so searching for it online is easier, unique names are a good idea. This Merc will look so good...when it's sitting at the MB garage waiting to be repaired. Why would you enter directions at such high speed anyway, you'd normally do it when at a red light or parked.
I bet you because it's a hybrid, the extra electric motor and batteries add a lot of weight ... and the first thing to go when you need to cut down on weight ... sound proofing lol.
LOVE THIS CAR! Bought C43 a few month ago... However the stock Burmester sound system is really disappointing. I did however find an app ("Lippi - Long Media Player" /Android) that boosts the base and overall sound so much. It is a MUST have! Just open the EQ in Lippi and hit "Awesome Sound Mode". App is free and a MUST for this Soundsystem I SWEAR! Btw: Set your stock EQ (in the cars menu) to Base = max, Mid = 0 or even negativ 1,2, and Treb to 5-6 something. Like this so everyone gets the best out of their soundystem
I appreciate your guys' opinions but I am a bit concerned about some comments from a Australian journalist that mentioned some quality issues with C-Class. This is a concern to me. But I guess you guys do not have the information to mention that sort of thing while doing a test drive.
Given that this car is a saloon, rather than some supercar, it fits that bill amazingly. A diesel-electric power train, with assured performance, an Audi challenging interior and serious economy does not deserve less than 80%. It has moved on the concept of a desirable, responsible saloon on. This car deserves a string of 9 s. Vicky gave it a 7 which is what she is worth too. Self-referencing perhaps Vicky?
I own this car, the gearbox isnt clunky. she's probably thinks its clunky compared to what she normally drives which are pure track cars. sport+ mode and tge gear changes are extremely quick.
+shmoriy or perhaps with the engine combo it is? I've been driven in this car with the 250cdi engine and didn't find it clunky but perhaps being a diesel hybrid the gearbox behaves differently
I drove my friends's c250 many times and it is not clunky at all, I believe it's because of the Diesel engines. They don't make the best diesels unfortunately
+shmoriy the diesel isnt noisy, its just what setting you have it on, comfort and economy its extremely quiet, you dont hear anything, sport+ and fuck yeah you'll have some noisy fun.
I pray that God rewards me this kind of car because the specifications of the Advance HDMI of the Mercedes carries the best features ..may God answer my prayers concerning the car.i really love this car.
You just wouldn’t do it like this!, you’d use that to show off sitting at the side of the Road, on the move you’d use the voice control if it had it....?🤨😎
This is how you know that RHD is just wrong. Most persons are right handed, but in the Uk, Japan, etc they have to use their left hands to operate the car's infotainment....which is why they can't do it well.
I like the review but it is kind of unfair to criticize the car on being difficult to select a destination on the GPS WHILE you are driving. That is an unsafe thing to do. Mercedes should’ve disabled the ability to do that. The C Class is a great option if you want to drive a new luxury car but you are on a tight budget.
5:53 love the use of Johnny's soul patch as . For the 8.5 🤣🤣🤣
It seems the infotainment system would be easier to use if you're using the right-hand drive version since most people are right-handed.
ye
+Joe Camarillo Only idiots think that steering wheel should be on the right (wrong) side
+branot89 Why the hate? people prefer what they have
+Joe Camarillo pretty much every single counter in the world uses left hand drive cars..
+Joe Camarillo Perhaps. I can say however, the COMAND system on the 2015+ C-class are inherently complicated vs. the older gen. version. My mother has a 2013 C350 and the Comand in that was easier to use than the 2015 C300 we got as a loaner.
they never commented nor mentioned anything about the hybrid system
Because nobody gives a shit?
Nabeel Ahmadi wow youre aggressive of some reason
+xBuzz996 aggressive but true
Nasser Marzook What i meant was that while that they already have the hybrid version, just make a comment about it atleast
+xBuzz996 Hybrid Diesel just sounds like a nasty mix. Dirty old Diesel should have no place near hybrids. Petrol for the win!
Two things:
One: MB may have built the UK models first vs. the North American cars; the 2015 C300 I've driven automatically LOCKS out all navigation function when speeds exceed 20km/h or ~15mph. The only input available then is via Voice Command on the steering wheel.
Two: I was wondering when somebody would do a Diesel Hybrid. I wished we get this option here in North America.
This car is a looker! Brilliant design by Mercedes there. It screams quality by even just looking at the car.
I really don't understand where they get half their opinions from
Noisy? It's noisy if you're flooring it hard but so are all cars, if you're cruising or accelerating normally you don't hear or feel a thing
Gear change snatchy? It's literally one of the best autos I've ever seen, so quick and flawless through the gears and never feel a thing
but they're not flooring it hard though. and they feel the gearbox isn't what you feel. I don't see the problem.
They're just not very good reviewers.
my car is not noisy if I floor it
@@tfntz They start with knocking points to try and give the illusion of balance, tired old hacks trying to keep up with top gear.
They didn't really test the driving here did they.
I would like to hear more about how the car rides on the road, how it handles at speed, how maneuverable it is, how well the hybrid system works on the road etc..

I saw an AMG C63 earlier in black and my goodness it was stunning to look at.
Truth be told, this is one amazing car. Curvy, beautiful interior, great handling, Amazing performance, HYBRID!

That navigation system actually works great. I've used it for a while now and it's actually really easy when you're used to it. I can write entire very complicated dutch adresses in 25 seconds
You can also use the voice recognition system for the navigation and that's quite accurate and easy to use (whole address in once)
I'm trying to find the exact version of the music at 4:25 area...anyone?
I totally agreed with you. I got w205 used at 65000km when I bought it. It it totally a bomber. I drove to 75k, the water broken. What is that song at 2:52
Why didnt merc put a controller for the sat nav and HU at the steering wheel for the driver so it could be much easier?
the seats in this are terrible i have tried them and went no further and what is that tablet welded to the dash
does cc (litres) matter for a car in terms of performance? I have no idea what's the point of it ..
Good car in overall, mine is fully loaded with air suspension, upgraded command, intelligent LED lights. I love the team tests!
Its awsome driven it and loved it Mercedes just makes cars that make feel special every time Love driving Mercedes
could i know the actul full name of this car please😢
this show is supposed to be informative while top gear was entertainment.Yet ive learned nothing from this review.
its stupid
Blood Sugar that infotainment system should have been done by the SAME person.
Vicky: "Because I'm not fixated with boots." The best quote from Fifth gear ever! Tiff is really into them bootts.
A Mutant Banana Trunk
I agree with Tiff! A big boot is awesome! (Loads of fun on car shows too..!)
very good video. please do more Mercedes videos
What is up with Jonnys Coat?
I’ve got absolutely the same car with same colour etc... car it’s self is great fun and gearbox is good and quick especially driving in Sport or Sport+
Nice touch - iPad glued to the dashboard. Quaint.
It's not even an ipad...I've seen it and it's like the one made by Tesco.
These poor reviews showed why Top Gear Reined supreme for many years over these jokers
idk if this is a good idea since good ideas seem good on paper and bad in practice but they could have a split keyboard on the steering wheel to be able to type with your thumbs just as you would on a phone, but maybe that would just encourage people to text while driving
what about c class use renault engines?
Where is Jason Plato ?? Why did he stop ?
"The C Series " ... that about sums up the segment
bruh moment, how do you mix up bmw and merc models
anyone else thought that jonny smiths goatee acted liked the perfect dot inbetween the 8 and 5 during his final score?
absolutely! We obvs of great minds that think alike.
1:18 is lighter than the outgoing c series 😹
I have this car and the nav is a garmin which makes the interior look cheap the merc sat navs are much nicer on the eye. Also doesn’t come up with speed limit signs like the older models
Uhh why didn't they use the Voice Command to find the Address?
Good looks, modern kit, but that diesel including the 220 and 250cdi are noisey compared to much of the competition.... 350cdi is way to go, but the eco freaks have killed that choice in a C Class, so it's the BMW 330D for me .... still one of the best engines in the world.
Such a work of art, this version of CClass
voice command works really well on these cars though you can just say it and it will respond
Do more of these team reviews!
that's quite great, you guys are awesome and do everything the right missing newer series of fifth gear on Discovery turbo in India, Don't know why they stopped it?
kindly, do the review of new Skoda Superb & Ford Mustang , Really wanna se this 2 reviewed by you guys
moved the quality up? are they for real
The boot lid was auto close with the red button, that's why it was hard to shut
An entire review dedicated to messing about with the Satnav? So I’m not really any wiser whether should consider this as a purchase.....useful.
Vicki is right tho. It is mainly men that have boot fixations.
Navigation has voice control which you could just speak to enter the address you want to go to.
I always loved the way Audis looked from 2010 and present, but always loved the way BMW performed. I must admit the C class blows out of the water the A3,A4 , BMW 3 and 4 series sedans in design.

Could have done the Nav before driving and or you voice control.

Why didn't they use "voice" command. Love my C200. Smooth as a peach.
Bought mine couple months back I'm loving it
After-thought tail lights look like they're off a Daewoo plus that looks like a Tesco Huddle on the dash.

please review the WRX! :) (not the sti)
The touchpad doesn't really make sense when you've got a right hand side wheel car. Well, for the 4% of lefties it does.
Surely you would enter your planned destination into the satnav before driving off. 🤔
I appreciate your guys' opinions but I am a bit concerned about some comments from a Australian journalist that mentioned some quality issues with C-Class. This is a concern to me. But I guess you guys do not have the information to mention that sort of thing while doing a test drive.
at least it doesn´t anymore look like Honda like the previous model did.
hmmm i thought the e class looked like a dodgy honda
Darthadios lmao honestly it looked like a sharper Honda Accord
try the voice command!
78 MPG! WHAT! HOW'S THAT POSSIBLE!?!?
Easy, it's a cheat. Just put in 1 gallon of fuel & a full charge of battery, drive it till it stops.
The C43 is pretty fun
I give their review a 4.5. See The Getawayer's review for a properly done review of the W205 C Class.

A clunky gearbox is unforgivable in this type of car...who agrees?

+Jsah11 Driven the A45 AMG recently. Great car, except for the gearbox. A bit of a let down..
A drove a C200 2015 - very very nice car but a bit too small driver place for me (too small place for knees, im quite big)
I'd love them to do the 2018 C Class with the new 2 ltr engine and 9 speed box
Beautiful. Will also be in 2115.
I own this. It's an absolutely brilliant car.
I keep it in sport+ trust me, its fucking fast :)
+shmoriy the diesel isnt noisy, its just what setting you have it on, comfort and economy its extremely quiet, you dont hear anything, sport+ and fuck yeah you'll have some noisy fun.

Comand with only one M is a mistery to me as well :D
Are they a family? Cause they look like a one happy family
you know that you can use the voice command system
Man I hate those screens they put in the Merc nowadays. Low rent positioning in a tacked-on-tablet way.
i am left handed .. and on europe (where the normal right -drive ) the bmw system its years easier to use :)
concave... convex... concave..!! Simply Curvingly Beautiful I say..!! ;)

You just wouldn’t do it like this!, you’d use that to show off sitting at the side of the Road, on the move you’d use the voice control if it had it....?🤨😎
how can the C Class be marked down just due to that particular engine. Vicky was wrong there.
You wouldn't try to type in a location WHILST you are driving! You would pull over to do it.
This is how you know that RHD is just wrong. Most persons are right handed, but in the Uk, Japan, etc they have to use their left hands to operate the car's infotainment....which is why they can't do it well.
Nice shoes!!!
