Please continue to go to the salon and allow a professional to relax your gorgeous hair. Too many RUclipsrs are relaxing their hair wrong, they leave the product on too long, they overlap, under process, they don’t rinse the product out completely, and then they complain that they relaxer took their hair out. She applied the relaxer to your edges way to soon. Always go to a professional when you are using chemicals in your hair. I prefer Affrim relaxer because it a professional product sold exclusively to licensed cosmetologist and the results are amazing.

So called "licensed professionals" are doing the same. 😂😂 smh SAD but TRUE. (BUT YES, IF u have a tried and true, experienced REAL genuine professional that's actually good at their craft and CARE about yr hair (many dont) the Yes, best to go the them. However If not , u may do well at home IF one knows and understands. Ik MANY knowledgeable folk that do their own n finally they are problem free due to not having any ol so called professional -that don't give a damn about healthy hair on YOUR head but just hustling for money- ....
*Just wanted to bring balance to that idea. ❤

Hey Cassey! It’s Dani from Naturally Relaxed. I loved watching your salon visit. It so cool that you used Olaplex when you went his time too. I usually get that added when I get my hair done as well. I was feelin you when she was brushing your hair!! 😆 I was dodging like she was up in my head or something! Ain’t it crazy tho…we are so gentle and cautious with our hair then when someone else’s comes that’s a “professional” and they use a tool like that to do that job, it’s like 😫😬. Regardless…your hair came out AMAZING! I love how you were feeling yourself when it was done!! Love it so much! Great job. See ya soon 👋🏾

🎉😮This relaxer NEVER burned 🔥 me!!! I think it’s best to have 2 ladies working on your hair at once. You have a lot of hair 😅
the sections will process at same time 🕰️. They can work from the back, up to the front, then do the front edges. 5-8 minutes is good application time. They must work fast because it’s caustic.
They can then smooth the sections going in the same direction while the edges and front are processing for 5 mins. I wouldn’t leave the product on to process for any longer than 15 minutes total time. The relaxer processes faster due to body heat once it’s on your hair. You got beautiful results 🤩.
🎉Cheers to strong, shiny, manageable hair✨💁🏽‍♀️✨

Girl don’t let her use that brush on your hair anymore lol. I would suggest buying a tangle teaser or a wide tooth comb and bring it to her. The tangle teaser is a brush but it’s plastic and specially designed for being delicate on wet hair (I like the short one without the handle) I have very fine delicate hair and neither of those pull my hair out. I also would agree have her relax your hairline last. I’m surprised she didn’t do that. Anyway your hair came out gorgeous!!!

You get a very ticklish feeling on your scalp which means the relaxer went very well!
Or you start feeling the burns and you’re like oh gosh 😩.
I’m sorry you felt that burns - put ointment or Vaseline on it daily! And tell the stylists not to leave it on your hairline for too long. It was a mistake I did in the past and I had to be strong too! ❤

    • @beeznhoney4323
      @beeznhoney4323 3 месяца назад +2

Hi ladies🌻Many years ago, I had to learn how to self relax when my long term stylist went on maternity leave and I didn't trust anyone else. Decades later, I still go to her for professional service but if a pinch were to arise, she says I'm one of her few _unlicensed_ clients that she's never worried about doing their own relaxer. It's not that hard. When you know what your hair can/T handle, it's not scary.
Not listed in order - many relaxer damaged hair problems arise when:
•The relaxer is too strong - know your hair.
•Comb/brush/scratching the scalp before a relaxer. Be mindful of causing scalp sores, plus a good chance the hair may process UNevenly if forced to rinse it out too soon. My GUESS - that's what happened when you said the rinse water was hurting your scalp.
•Using small boxes of relaxer instead of a tub.
•Too little is applied so there's not enough to EVENLY relax the hair.
•Overlapping. DIYers can try hair oil or any conditioner barrier on the midsection & ends
•NOT processing the hairline and/or nape LAST - especially if that area doesn't need a lot of time to process.
•Not using a separate LARGE bottle of neutralizer. I don't trust tiny packets of neutralize. I _need_ a bottle to apply a LOT then I'll rinse rinse rinse rinse - I don't care if my hot water runs cool! I'm rinsing that relaxer out until there's not a hint of relaxer & neutralizer residue/suds in the water.
      •use Olaplex and then Condition
•Be very GENTLE combing freshly relaxed wet hair.
      •Trim/Dust the ends when needed

Your relaxer came out really well, and your hair looks beautiful. Did you have any issues with your scalp afterward from the burning? If you like olaplex no 3, you should see if that salon offers the olaplex salon treatment, which consists of no 1, 2, and 3. I've gotten it with my relaxers since last year, and I love what it's done for my hair. I don't even do protein treatments anymore. I still use products with protein in them, but that's it. Loved the update. 💜

Hmmmmm I just stumbled upon this door that was in my recommendations and I have to say that:
    1. The stylist should’ve know to not put the relaxer on your hairline until the very last step of application.
    2. The stylist should by more gentle with your Relaxed hair which is its weakest when wet. (Although the video is sped up..I can see that she’s not brushing from the ENDS up to the roots. Ugh
    3. Just because you’re not at home, you’re still a paying customer and if the deep conditioner suggests that you have it on for 30 minutes then the stylist will have to multitask with the other customers.
If you went back to her at a later date I really hope that these to concerns of yours that she respected and changed for you.
Also is it a normal practice to literally bring all of your own items to the hair salon for the professional to do your hair..is it an insult or does it cost less to you the customer seeing how the stylist didn’t have to use her own products?
    Thanks for posting.

Thank you for your input. The application too soon to my hairline is a bit annoying for sure. No I don't have to bring my own products. I choose to because I know the products my hair like. However, the pricing does not change for bringing my own.

😮 ma’am really gave you a cut. That was not a trim. Your ends looked like they only needed a light trim if that! It’s like she cuffed her fingers and cut it so fast, it seemed 🤷🏾‍♀️ Something about her energy for me. But hey… if you like it…

She cut to much! And she should have added more conditions so it would've been so tangle up

It looks like she cut about 4 to 5 inches, out of spite. Not feeling her energy.

I hope by now you have gotten a new stylist. This one showed little care, regard, and skill for textured hair. if you are in the u.s., your best bet is a Black American stylist. They are the most innovative and knowledgeable about best practices for your hair type. this stylist was grossly negligent, from placing the perm on your edges too soon, to brushing wet hair so roughly, to the terrible rolling technique, to cutting off clearly healthy hair. just terrible.

Is there a reason you don’t got to black hair dressers cause the combing thing really got me, you shouldn’t cut your hair when wet it’s in a shrunken state
