She did a great job. The hair looks good. but some of the hair was falling out because she was using a comb to comb the relaxer through your roots to smooth it out and you should never do that with a chemical application. With gloves, always use your fingers to smooth it out. Good job yall.

Dang, i was thinking of switching relaxers too 😅. I've used the ORS one for years and tbh, i almost never get burns. But when i read reviews about it that it makes people's hair a bit porous after a while and maybe a bit frizzy, i could see that too. But then again, imma not sure if it's necessarily that case with me. I don't own a hair straightener nor a blow-dryer, so regardless i almost never see my hair straightened. Last year was the first time i went to a salon to get my hair relaxed and the burns were BAD. The stylist used the Affirm FiberGuard Sensitive Scalp relaxer. She didn't do anything wrong, but it started burning the second it hit my scalp. I'll just see it as being allergic to something in there 😅 But i must say that i did love the results SO MUCH (sans the burns). My ends have never looked straighter 💯 And they just stayed straight, idk how. So that's why i was looking into trying a new brand. Maybe Dark 'n Lovely or African Pride.

Got 3 questions, maybe 4. Which country are you from? I'm living in the UK, and I'm struggling in the winter. Any tips for me. I follow all your routines. My hair is 22 inches long but dry, especially at the roots. How can I combat this? I'm worried around this time. Cause my hair is coming out with long strangs in the wide tooth comb. I am also scared to wash weekly, which I want to do cause my scalp itches and flakes. I did use my Olive Miracle Leave in Conditioner, and it helps a lot. What else am I doing wrong?

Thank you for these tips. Do you use anything for your scalp? I have to wash my hair every week because my scalp dries so fast 😩

You could also apply a skin protectant to the full scalp to cut down on burning. Also perhaps trying a mild formula which allows for a longer work time. She really stayed off the scalp but the smoothing will allow it to touch and a petrolatum product will add protection. Using a spatula will also speed up the application. To protect your already relaxed hair and prevent overlap you use a conditioner and then that same petrolatum product, the Blue Magic, to coat the strands. I follow this routine at the salon and it has been over 10 years since I had a burn. I use Mizani mild twice a year.
