SAAAAME. I love my natural hair and will never EVER go back to a relaxer…but…these are wonderful to watch. I love relaxed hair videos! (I don’t even watch natural hair videos haha, I find a lot of natural videos to be toxic).
I'm almost 6 years into my second attempt at going natural. I'm not going back to relaxers!!...BUT on wash day, I certainly understand why folks choose to!
Relaxed my hair in Sept after 11 years of being natural.. I do NOT regret... I know how to take better care for my hair, and only plan on getting relaxers 3 or 4 times a year❤
Yes...I've been natural for 12 yrs and I'm thinking about going back to relaxer. My hair has been damaged like it's never been and is now very thin. I can honestly say my hair was healthier when it was relaxed because I was able to take care of it better. And I was only getting a relaxer every 6 months.
I think all women should do what works best for them. It's your hair, and you do what works best for you. I noticed that when I was natural, I spent way too much money and time on my hair to not be satisfied with the results. Yes, I love myself, and my hair was not in a healthy condition it was dry and breaking. The protective styles was damaging my hair and edges even more. Back to what worked best for me. Now my hair isn't breaking or dry and the cost of being relaxed is not leaving me broke.
Exactly, I thinking about going back to a relaxer for the same reasons.. I exactly bought a relaxer but it’s for new growth only. I see now I have to relax my entire head
It’s been 10 years and my natural hair has definitely been a challenge. I really want to relax my hair but I feel so guilty like I’m betraying myself 😩
I don't blame none of us. I'm Black-American and Caribbean descent. I've been natural off and on for about 20 years. No more natural hair for me. The struggle is too real😂😂😂😂😂
I've been thinking of relaxing my hair and most of the videos online make it seem like hard work. You actually made it look so easy and now I'm 100% sure I can do it myself
I went natural in 2010. On my birthday this year (4/20) I texturized my hair. No regrets! I didn't hate my natural hair, but I just felt like doing something different. I have big chopped 3 times before. I'm not super attached to my hair. 🤷🏿♀️
Avlon’s Texture Release loosens natural curl patterns without permanently straightening it. Heat activates the proteins so if you wash and don’t blow dry you can still have your curls back but they’ll be softer.
I'm pretty sure this thought has cross so many women's mind. I do not judge, whichever makes your life easier. There are so many who went back relaxed and their hair is longer and stronger than ever before. Either way, natural or relaxed hair have to be moisturized and taken care of. You got this.
I like that you didn't comb it or use the applicator brush thing. I want to go back, but I don't want my hair bone straight. Your results are fabulous ❤
I cut all my hair in 2017, because I had cancer in 2011… After the procedure it left my hair not as full but the texture of my hair changed. I've been natural for 6.5 years and have no plans as of yet, to go back to relaxers. However, your hair is lovely and God bless you and hair jouney
Omg, I resonate a lot with you. I'm 7.5 natural, tired as well and ready to relax, I have the same revlon brush and I am not interested in silk pressing my hair. I am definitely following you closely now for inspiration
Gorgeous. Keep on shining lady. I love it. I was a natural for 5 years and my hair never 👎🏾 grew. Idc. I braid my hair under my wigs now and oil it 4x a week with moisture leave in spray. Yes I do wash my hair with the braids in as well during the months of my growth routine then I take it out and do a full wash but braid it back down to grow more until it’s time to relax, it I relax it like once a year. My mermaid tresses are long as heck to. Wear your hair however you want. Blessings. Embrace your long managed hair women of color , a woman’s hair is her glory. Forget the misogynistic and racist haters who want to police your hair.
Love the fact that no comb was used....im 6years natural too but really tired and needs to relax my hair again. Cant wait to run my fingers through and see the through length of my hair🎉 You did a nice job❤
I've been natural for about 10 years but I work 2 jobs and I don't have time like I used to. I can't afford to keep my hair in braids, and I still have all the magnetic Rollers, clips, and everything from when my hair was permed. I'm going back to perming my hair
Exactly , I been natural of 10 years and the summer time and the humidity make me want to relax my hair.. I can never wear it down no longer then 1 week then it’s back up in a ponytail.. when I uses to wear my hair relax it grew so pretty and my wraps were flawless, I miss my hair being relaxed and I hair fine and soft hair
Thanks for sharing I’ve been thinking about relaxing my hair I’m natural and it’s a lot of maintenance and honestly I haven’t took care of my hair the way I should’ve I have 4c hair.. I was trying too see what relaxer or texturizer I should use …. Thanks for sharing ❤
Nothing to be scared of! Just get a good relaxer (I happen to use the same one the girl uses here!)-make sure to do a strand test first-- if your hair looks okay then go for it, you'll love it. Been relaxed 40 years with never 1 problem. My hair is past mid back and healthy. ❤
Natural becoming a straight natural with flat ironing like 4 to 6 times a year. Throwing in some protective styles here and there. Especially in the winter. 😂 Only thing changing is straightening/flat ironing more often then usual.
I relaxed my hair after 8 years because I can't use one of my arms and it was awful trying to comb my hair and I am so much happier since I relaxed my hair I can actually comb and brush it my hair ha always been down my back
The finished product was so full and shiny I love it! Instead of flat and extremely straight (I think that only happens when people have thin hair though) 🤔
I have only permed my hair one time when I was 12 so I always been “natural” let me just say I’m getting a perm box today lmfaoooooo I cannot with the 3-day wash days anymore. Not to mention I can’t do any cute styles with this shrinkage and puffiness. I barely wash my hair anymore because it’s just too much.
Facts!!! It takes 3-4 hours to wash and detangle. If I have time to blow dry it, that's another hour plus, not to mention styling. If it air dries, it takes days to dry. I have 5 sons and I work. Ain't nobody got time for that!! Relaxing mine next week for sure!
I am now natural since 2019 doing trims no big chop. It has definitely been something especially when trying to wear it out straight. Front of my hair puffs while walking around the house. I’m concerned about trying to use a relaxer again as I am now 54 it’s like my hair had stopped tolerating chemicals and I found I didn’t have the selection of relaxers. The best relaxer I’ve ever had was called Sensitive by Nature and when they discontinued this I was so hurt. I reached out to the company and they appreciated my compliments of the product but they said they weren’t going to make it anymore 😭I’ve always had long hair thank God but this silk press business is definitely challe
The “ive been natural for __ years” statement always boggles my mind. Is it standard that every black woman has had their hair relaxed since a young age? My hair has always been natural and a relaxer was never in the equation even though my mom has been relaxing her own hair since before i was born. But in hindsight, this also explains why I was bullied by other black kids growing up for my hair. Was never relaxed and I never wore braids/weaves. I just didnt understand what was wrong with my hair to them.
Buy yourself the big bottle of ORS Neutralizing shampoo. I use motions Lye relaxer because I knew that little packet of neutralizer wouldn’t be enough. It took me 6 rinses before it stopped turning pink & I have less hair than you lol but your hair looks amazing. Welcome to the dark side 😎lol💕💕💕
Congratulations for having the guts to join the relaxed club!🎉😊 There's no shame in it, girl, lol! It's so much easier having straight hair. It just is. I've been relaxing my hair for 40 years. It's past mid-back and healthy. And you'll discover if you let it dry naturally, it still curls. I'll wear mine curly in the summer occasionally if it's too hot to blow dry it straight. I'll never have my hair natural. NEVER. Just why?? Relaxer all the way. And yes, it's great to run your fingers through it, right??😂 Congrats! Your hair looks terrific!🎉❤
I’ve been natural 7 years now with kinky 4C hair. It’s satisfying watching ppl going back to relaxer but relaxer is not for me. I hated my relaxed hair especially the new growth stages. I really did not enjoy it and how limp your hair become over the years of relaxing. I also hated the 3 month commitment. I prefer my natural curls. Olaplex line works best for it. I think if I did not find Olaplex I would’ve considered going back to relaxer. But thank Goc for Olaplex it makes wash day and swim days a breeze. I stand by Olaplex, I’ve been using it for just over 1 year and has seen so much improvement in my hair.
Olaplex treatment is primarily used to strengthen hair bonds. So, if you have damaged or weakened hair strands, Olaplex will rebuild those bonds over time. It doesn't happen over night. My hair was so damaged from blowdrying it had these visible breaking points. I've used Olaplex for over 1 year and most of my strands had been repaired. I could literally see how my damaged hair is getting healthier and more alive. Some strands were just too damaged that it just eventually broke off. I understand if you'd want to go back to relaxer, I would probably too if I had to live in wet, moist environments cos in the end you want to enjoy your hair. I don't wear wigs or protective styles, I just wear my hair but I'm also not a wash and go natural. I went from relaxed to blowdrying my natural hair after each wash@@honeybdream
Well i am natural i been this way all my life from a child no one could do my hair without my brush and a cup of water and wet it before you comb it my mom tell me all the time wash your hair so i can curl it when it curled i never comb my hair my curls would last about a good two weeks when i wash my hair it feels like i prem it when i use a relaxer my hair still curly but the hot comb makes it look like a prem water was and still is my best friend for life so what ever works for you work it you like it and I love it i miss my mom so much she was my best friend but we share a lot of good memories
Is that what they call over-processing when you put a lot of relaxer in your hair??? 2. Are you supposed to relax the whole head to that ends of your hair or just the roots.??
I have a pixie but before that I was natural, a SHORT natural at that lol can you imagine be 45 mins+ defining my curls and etc 😂 although I love my natural hair I do choose to make my life easier! With this pixie I can not do my hair everyday just keep it moisturized. And my daughter is natural as well so doing both of our hair)4c is a little crazy and and all day process so I will be doing a light relaxer on her hair to see how we like it and if not then we’ll move on. But I know it’ll be easier for us to manage
Yes but you know folk need to make life easier and that's all that matters. Plus all the sponsors the natural hair influencers are getting is encouraging the non critical thinkers into going back to the creamy crack and completely forgetting why they went natural in the first place
This whole relaxer resurgence is confusing to me, im guessing that like @crapbag426 said, the women that are doing must be getting some big sponsorships and doing it for the money otherwise it's not making sense
For me natural was a lie! 😂 Wash n go please, big curls nope. I learned that half the natural looks had wigs or weaves in. I’m like that’s not natural! I’m in my 40’s so perm/relaxed was life. But I fell for the story that my hair would grow longer if I gave it up. So I did about 6 yrs ago and my hair still wouldn’t get past my shoulders . My stylist had to cut it in the same spot cause it would get thin in sections. So I’m going to be free and going back to perms. Because if it’s gonna be short, might as well be straight🎉
well relaxers increase your cancer risk marginally and only if you use them super often. smoking, drinking, lack of exercise, and unhealthy diets are much more of a concern and people still do that because they want to.
@@SE-gs6gd I mean the two aren’t really related, but people are also overweight with natural hair. relaxers are just pretty low on the list of things to avoid to lower your cancer risk
Been binge watching all these relaxed videos 😂 I’m never relaxing my hair but it’s still really satisfying to watch.
lol this is literally me...I'm never relaxing my hair (I recently cut my natural hair after 8 years,), but I love seeing relaxed hair transitions :)
SAAAAME. I love my natural hair and will never EVER go back to a relaxer…but…these are wonderful to watch. I love relaxed hair videos! (I don’t even watch natural hair videos haha, I find a lot of natural videos to be toxic).
Same 😂. Started my ras 3 months ago, but i just love these videos.
Omg I thought I was the only one , I’m obsessed with watching hair relaxing videos it’s so relaxing to watch
Same her I love my natural hair , but love watching hair relaxing videos , I also agree natural hair videos are toxic
I’ve been natural TWICE!!!! It’s a lot! As a mom of 2 and entrepreneur I just chose to make my life easier. I’m happily relaxed now 😅
I'm almost 6 years into my second attempt at going natural. I'm not going back to relaxers!!...BUT on wash day, I certainly understand why folks choose to!
I’m about to relax mine I’m a new mom and out of the blue my hair became too much to deal with outside of protective styles
That part!
I’ve big chopped in 2018 and going back to relaxer has been heavy on my mind for the past 4 months. I think it’s time.
Me too. I’ve went to a big chop twice, but definitely will go to relaxed hair again. I loose a lot of time dealing with my natural hair
Relaxed my hair in Sept after 11 years of being natural..
I do NOT regret... I know how to take better care for my hair, and only plan on getting relaxers 3 or 4 times a year❤

I don't blame ya'll! It's not easy, especially in the summer 😂😂😂
@@lene08dancethis is me. My hair isn't bad but I need it to be manageable again

So true
I honestly just want a relaxer and a wrap again. Life could be so simple 😂😂
Exactly, I thinking about going back to a relaxer for the same reasons.. I exactly bought a relaxer but it’s for new growth only. I see now I have to relax my entire head
That’s the same the I said! That’s why I’m relaxing it tomorrow.
Facts!
It’s been 10 years and my natural hair has definitely been a challenge. I really want to relax my hair but I feel so guilty like I’m betraying myself 😩
Please don’t feel that way! Do what you need to do for you and your comfort💖💖
That's me right now at this second 😢😂
You can always go back.
Don’t do it! It’s evil caustic chemicals. Just put in a weave for a bit to get straight hair!
Don't feel guilty who cares what faceless keyboard warriors have to say. Do you

Mehn shrinkage is real....look how long your hair in even in its natural state! Wowwwww! Your hair is lovely in any state!
I have been team natural since birth, am beginning to think of going relax, doing childcare and caring for hair is not easy
I went natural in 2010. On my birthday this year (4/20) I texturized my hair. No regrets! I didn't hate my natural hair, but I just felt like doing something different.
I have big chopped 3 times before. I'm not super attached to my hair. 🤷🏿♀️
What do you mean by you texturised your hair?
Avlon’s Texture Release loosens natural curl patterns without permanently straightening it. Heat activates the proteins so if you wash and don’t blow dry you can still have your curls back but they’ll be softer.
I’m doing a texture release next Saturday.
Natural since 2008 and seriously thinking about relaxing again.
I’ll do it next week, I’m tired of the struggle 😫

Just know relaxed hair isn’t healthy. On anyone’s hair. It breaks down the chemical bonds and makes the hair shaft weaker.
Been full natural since 2016 and strongly debating going BACK to that good old Design Essentials Sensitive Scalp relaxer! 😊❤
Girl you better get it lmaoo. I was natural from 2015-2021 😂. Never going back.
i relaxed my hair too last summer i was so tired of being a natural hair for 15 years i couldn do that anymore lol
Honey, your hair is beautiful. I don't judge whatever is easier for women to do their hair.
Why am I here? I love my natural hair and don’t plan on relaxing but these keep popping up and I’m enjoying it 😄
Lol,me too AND I'm thinking about it real hard 😮😢😅

Just went bk to the white crack n I’m loving it!❤️

I’m with yall !! Relaxed and loving it ❤
I was natural for 10 years and went back to relaxers June of last year! Best decision ever!
Sane but I wouldn't call it a best decision ever more like a inherently evil but necessary😅
i feel so betrayed we all did the big chop together 😂 binge watching relaxed hair videosss i think im hopping on this traiiiinnnn
Your hair looks so good!! I am a natural who just started the texture release journey 😊
I like that “texture release” journey

I was natural for over ten years. Got pregnant and gave birth to twins and just couldn't deal so im back to relaxing.
I'm Natural. I love your hair and I'm happy that you are happy 🌺
I’d be scared to put that on my head by myself. 😲 That takes bravery.

Air-drying is better for relaxed hair. You can put it in a wrap and let it air-dry. When it's dry, you comb the wrap down and it's both dry and silky.
I relax my hair every 6-8 months, i have a 3 wavy texture but it gets really thick and won't lay without alottt of gel.

I’m so ready to relax my hair but on other hand I’m not 😢😢 natural since 2016
I’ve just relaxed mine nd I’m so excited
Muy buen trabajo eres una especialista el alisado ha sido perfecto
For me natural was a lie! 😂
Wash n go please, big curls nope.
You don't get long full hair with a relaxer? What make you think that is the way to keep it.
I’m off being natural. Going back to relaxed
Looks so goodd
Relaxer is too permanent but I'm bored with my natural hair and i don't want to straighten it 😂
I'm relaxed by choice...
Thank you
❤Congrats sis
It's beautiful!

I love your hair beautiful n black ❤
Is pretty and black I like black hair
Looks great well done
Cant you see your hair texture once your perm grows out tho?
Will you go back to natural?
Sad. Why no more videos after this?
My natural hairs are so tick and though to manage 😢
Whats tjis product, is it criatin ?
I want to relax my short hair or it relax only hair 😜
I cant understand how anyone could use a relaxer in this day and age knowing it's adverse health effects. I don't get it
well relaxers increase your cancer risk marginally and only if you use them super often. smoking, drinking, lack of exercise, and unhealthy diets are much more of a concern and people still do that because they want to.
@bunny time so you're gonna be sloppy overweight with bad lungs but you're hair has to be bone straight...make it make sense
@@SE-gs6gd I mean the two aren’t really related, but people are also overweight with natural hair. relaxers are just pretty low on the list of things to avoid to lower your cancer risk
@@SE-gs6gd you worried about what other people doing is crazy
@trinkerbell well I do care about the well being of my fellow sisters and just humans in general I guess.
I'm natural thinking of going to relax
This gives me anxiety, however whatever works best for you, is all that matters...but bebeh no ma'am....
My 4c hair us sooo hard to maintain
Beautiful hair
I’ve been natural since 2018 I’m tired
