literally earlier this week I learned Bob Dylan wrote "Make you feel my love" which Billy Joel and Adele sang and made hits off of. Amazing his musical mind.
Now this is what I call a jam session!!!! Just a bunch of talented musicians pooling their talents together and having the time of their lives. What I would have done to be in that crowd.
I was there!!! What a wonderful experience. We are so grateful for Mumford & Sons for coming to our little town, and we hope they come back again soon.
To all my friends and family, I wish all the people in the world who have hearts filled with hate would think again and thank God for the wonderfull world we live in.
its called making memories and sharing that memory with people. if videos like this werent recorded with phones, you wouldnt being hearing it and seeing it with YOUR own ears and eyes
i still have the tan line from the horrific sunburn i got at that stopover. totally worth sitting directly in the sun for 10 hours with no sunscreen to be up front..best time of my life!
I wish the audio was better, but you can see the pure joy of all these musicians jamming to an all time classic. One of the dings I can listen to on repeat for infinity.
It's amazing, they say in the circle of musicians while no one is listening or recording this is the song all musicians meet in the parking lot and play
+galept Yes!!!! This Train is bound for Glory is incredible!!!! Also Amazing Grace at Bonaroo....you don't have to be religious to appreciate what a incredible performance that was. Love Mumford & Sons and their many friends they play with.
I remember seeing Zac Brown in Chattanooga in 2005 in a relatively small venue. They had just brought on a fiddle player. They played chicken fried and the energy in the room was unlike anything I’ve ever felt. I’m not big on live music and maybe it’s because that was one of my few experiences. I thought every live show would be like that. This has that same vibe.
Bob dylan did the song in 1973 The old crow medcine show redid it and Mr Darius Rucker Rocked it But i have to say Mumford and Sons Did a great Version love the music yall keep it up :] 100% Tarheel NC native for life
Oh, what a blast. They are obviously enjoying themselves madly. I love to see musicians playing and feeding off the love and joy of each other's energy. They are playing and singing just for the absolute joy of it. This is what it's all about. So good for my soul.
I dont understand how people can dislike this video. I saw them Portland, Maine the week before, and Fairfax, Virginia last week. 2 best concerts I've ever been to. So much energy and passion for music, which is really lacking in the pop scene today. Unbelievable group of musicians.
I saw Mumford & Sons at Bonaroo X, they put on a hell of a show, but would of loved this tune dudes :) (Telluride Bluegrass Festival. nough said, mic drop!)
very fitting espcially since this band hails from my Mum's hometown in Englang...and to boot when she passed in 2013, I Will Wait was popular here in the USA...then this song soon followed... and brought tears to my eyes... funny that this group did their rendition... kudos to you guys!
At about 4:35, just after the "Bristol City" bit who has noticed the female backing vocal that just adds sooooo much, it's like "oooooooooohhh aaaaaaahhhh" and the trumpet near the end just totally blows this out of the water. LOVE IT
Epic!!! The energy, the music, the lyrics, the musicians, the vocals, the smile on everyone's face.....this is what live music is all about. Hats off to everyone on stage. Thank You for this music video experience.
To whomever the uploader: how you kept a clear mid to record all the solos etc is beyond me. This is the greatest performance of all time. I wouldve lost my sh.t. No way i would be able to record. Thank you so much for this
This are the kinds of concerts and performances that make me totally happy. Seeing musicians having just as an amazing time as the crowd, enjoying every second... Love.
Bob Dylan wrote the chorus for this song while writing the soundtrack for Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. Got the idea from an old blues song with the hook "hey mama rock me". Wasn't able to get rights to the song so he gave up on it. Secor heard a recording when he was in high school and wrote the verses. Performed it live for years and when OCMS got their first record deal he asked Dylan for permission. Dylan gave it as well as whoever held rights to the original hook. Awesome video!
Yup yup, I always tell people this as they have no idea at all. They think it's Hootie's song lol, which pisses me off, he's not a real musician and doesn't do the cover justice. Atleast these guys understand the roots of it and it's always gonna be an ol time string band!
My GOD, this is honestly one of the most amazing things I have ever heard in all of my days. Now I have the urge to play some wagon wheel on my guitar... Then learn keys, banjo and trumpet. Fuck this is good
I was at this show and it was an absolutely incredible day/night of music. I am from Bristol and live there now and seeing this come to fruition was just s real blessing. Always been a fan of their music snd this show just solidified it.
GOOOOOSE!!!!!!!!!!!! BUMPS!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw them in concert, true performer!!! They sound just as good live as they do in the studio!!!! Thanks for posting this video.

Sometimes zero rehearsal is exactly what a song needs to be awesome.

That trumpet was the fucking bomb.

Wagon Wheel is about hope, love, determination and freedom. Nuttin wrong with that.
I just discovered this song and apart from it being a great song it was really resignating with me. Your comment is exactly why!
Who’s listening & jumping to this live happiness masterpiece in 2024

That Brass at the end UNBELIEVABLE! That guy can play!
Never thought brass would work with this song. But...
This is what happiness looks like.
I love how they all just look like they're having such a good time, all of them are singing even if they aren't in range of the mic. Epic
honestly speaking, even the ones who couldn't get to the mic screamed their lungs out!!! I mean who could blame them...
I don't go to concerts, but damn, I'd go to that one!
Tell me I'm a shit, but some of them need to STF up and play their instruments
@@johnjones1534you’re right you are shit
I was there and it was absolutely beautiful.
So was I. Talk about getting knocked on your ass in the front row!!!
To whoever took that video: THANK YOU!!!

Everyone is doing this song.......Thank you Old Crow Medicine for bring the song to us and finishing Dylan's idea
yeah, an idea that Dylan got from Big Boy.
Yeah... but this is good
Old Crow 🤘🏼

@@paulinotou yep! Classic!
my life will be complete if they do a high quality of this
I am convinced that if 2020 had a trumpet solo in the middle of it, things would get better.
Now this is what I call a jam session!!!! Just a bunch of talented musicians pooling their talents together and having the time of their lives. What I would have done to be in that crowd.
Crying at the beauty of this holy shit
I really like when Mumford & Sons does these concerts with the group.
I was there!!! What a wonderful experience. We are so grateful for Mumford & Sons for coming to our little town, and we hope they come back again soon.
Damn Lucky
Every now and again I come back to this video and every time it puts a smile on my face
Hey Dan from a year ago. Forgot you commented. You finally got the girl by the way. Life is good.
This song went from good to perfect when that trumpet came in.
am i the only one who absolutely loves the trumpet in this song?!?!?!
I listened to this like 200 times.
I was there and it was literally the best night of my life.
This is one of the best wagon wheels I've ever heard
To all my friends and family, I wish all the people in the world who have hearts filled with hate would think again and thank God for the wonderfull world we live in.
I can't believe I was there. I'll never forget that.
Josh Miller damn man. you're one lucky soul...
lucky fuck
I'm still jammin to this banger in 2024! when I listen to this song, so do my neighbors! Cheers!
Wow! Thank you uploader for sacrificing dancing, clapping and going crazy while they played this song.
its called making memories and sharing that memory with people. if videos like this werent recorded with phones, you wouldnt being hearing it and seeing it with YOUR own ears and eyes
I was at this tour. Best show ever
THIS is what REAL music is.
I love this because everyone is really winging it and just having fun. Yet the product is awesome. Confidence.
Bring your band to the Doc and Rosa Lee Watson Music festival in Sugar Grove. Old Crow Medicine Show are a local band here.
Promise you the crowd will drown you out. 😊
i still have the tan line from the horrific sunburn i got at that stopover. totally worth sitting directly in the sun for 10 hours with no sunscreen to be up front..best time of my life!
I watch this video once a week or so to enjoy the fantastic solos in between each verse. I never want it to end.
STLL one of my favorite videos on RUclips, even now 10 years later.
I wish the audio was better, but you can see the pure joy of all these musicians jamming to an all time classic. One of the dings I can listen to on repeat for infinity.
Its just a jam, of course if not perfect but that's what makes it brilliant!
Some of the best music I've ever heard has been spontaneous jamming ....the more musicians (and non-musicians!), the better!
I did it...I found the best video on the internet
I have tears in my eyes. This is beautiful!! One of the most amazing songs ever written and all of the love on that stage is mesmerizing.
exactly, please check their video "this train ",God bless
It's amazing, they say in the circle of musicians while no one is listening or recording this is the song all musicians meet in the parking lot and play

The solo by the dawres dude is truly something special. I watch this regularly and blown away every time

That was a great version. Mumford killed it.
Oh, what a blast. They are obviously enjoying themselves madly. I love to see musicians playing and feeding off the love and joy of each other's energy. They are playing and singing just for the absolute joy of it. This is what it's all about. So good for my soul.

I was in the front row... greatest concert of my life by some of the greatest bands of our time
Now THIS is a jam session!!!!!
I was at this concert and I tell ya, one of the best I have ever attended. I didn't know a song that M&S sang but after - became a fan.
the guy on the trumpet makes this performance amazing!!!
This was such a great concert and wagon wheel definitely should of been on the cd download.
this is totally crazy! amazing, no surprise the crowd goes mad just at the beginning
When the horn comes in, the crowd explodes. What a performance 8O

Absolutely brilliant , that's what music is all about !!!!
This is music. Nothing too flashy or auto tuned, just great musicians playing great music and loving what they're doing.

Definitely a song to play outside in the summer with a bottle of whiskey, some good friends and have a great time. Brilliant
Who else thinks this should be made into an official tour single?
My GOD, this is honestly one of the most amazing things I have ever heard in all of my days. Now I have the urge to play some wagon wheel on my guitar... Then learn keys, banjo and trumpet. Fuck this is good
proof that people still listen to and love real music
I was at this show and it was an absolutely incredible day/night of music. I am from Bristol and live there now and seeing this come to fruition was just s real blessing. Always been a fan of their music snd this show just solidified it.

This was exquisitely shot. Well done.
GOOOOOSE!!!!!!!!!!!! BUMPS!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw them in concert, true performer!!! They sound just as good live as they do in the studio!!!! Thanks for posting this video.
Still one of my favorite live performances to go back and watch. Wish I could’ve been there
That's the second biggest crowd I've ever seen on stage. The first was a riot at a Stones concert. Great tune though.
