It’s not TMI to talk about menopause, it needs to be a non-taboo topic. Loved the episode!

Laurie, you are an influencer! I just bought the Essie polish and gel top coat and I’m loving them! Thanks for the recommendation. Sofia, I’m so glad you enjoyed my LYS, Woven Art in East Lansing MI! I wish I had seen you there 😊

Laurie- Thanks so much for the Essie recommendation. I purchased at Target as you suggested and am thrilled with the result! Quick to dry and leaves a beautifully glossy finish. Holds up very well to wear and tear. Just as good as salon. Really appreciate it!

You can buy the silicone or rubber hollow tubing at craft store on a spool and cut some off for your friends. Maybe not the same quality as the Barber cords bit does the same job. Last if you have interchangable needles you can switch to a smaller needle which fits easier into the hollow tube to pull it through easier. Another option is not to pull it all the way just enough for a wide enough stretch to try on then return back to your needles.

I am listening to The Women, K. Hannah’s latest. The Four Winds was wonderful, but very sad…like sobbing sad for me. MatthewPerry’s book I listened to on audible. Although it is depressing, I really liked it. I found a new author, Greg Iles, who I love! I call him my “Big Girl” author. His books are long, great vocabulary, and keeps you wanting to turn the pages! I’ve read 3 of them so far. I have read all of the McFadden books which are all very good. Obviously, I am a big reader, and even volunteer in a used book store. As far as tv, I love Virgin River, Sweet Magnolias, and Lincoln Lawyer. Great series! As far as knitting goes, I love Summer Lee, watch her RUclips videos when she makes them, and had preordered her book. I was excited to receive it. I am a sock knitter, cuff down. Your sweaters, Ladies, are lovely and very well done! I am making a Ranunculus. I have yarn for The Weekender, as well. I am starting to make a granny square afghan for a blast from my past. It seems to be all the rage. I am also going to my the Emotional Support Chicken. Have you seen it? I love Essie nail polish, and have used the top coat, as well. I love to sew project bags. I am starting Punch Needle this fall. I have all of the supplies to make a pillow cover for my sofa. Of course, I’m starting with a mug rug to get the hang of it. To say I am a crafter is an understatement. Thank goodness I am retired. I missed you girls! I wouldn’t care if you had any FO’s. I love hearing you visit and share ideas. I love hearing about your plans, too. I’ve watched you for so long, and enjoy you very much! I enjoy It’s a Sarah, Sweet Skein of Mine, The Crazy Sock Lady, Summer Lee, and A Lovely Yarn. These are all knitting RUclips videos that are worth your while watching. I have many more, but those are my favorites, along with 4 ladies who knit together called The Knitters League!😉. Well, Ladies, hurry back, please. Have fun knitting your sweaters, reading your books, and watching tv. Enjoy your summer! ❤ Cindi

Kristin Hannah's book "The Women" about nurses during the Vietnam War is the best book I've read in a long time. I highly recommend it. It has helped me to appreciate the women who came before more. Your Rhinebeck sweaters will be fabulous. I cannot wait to see them.

You had me at menopause. I used to feel so alone. Welcome to my world. I've missed you ladies. Sophia you have my sympathies on the Wellerman. Been there (on the Fairweather Sweater neckline because I didn't count correctly and thought I could get away with fudging the numbers. Stitch counts are there for a reason. I fretted, complained, cursed myself and eventually frogged it, reknit it and now I love it.

It’s very nice to see you lovely ladies, thanks for doing a podcast. Sophia, I love your sweater. I personally would add a little colour to the cuffs, but whatever you choose, it will be amazing.
Peri menopause, menopause, post menopause, we all need to talk about it more. When I was going through peri menopause, I didn’t know what was happening to me. It’s important to share this with other women so they realize they are not going crazy. Often women who have gone through it can make suggestions on what helped them. So, say it loud and talk about it.
    Thanks ladies.

Lots of gorgeous sweaters ladies. If you want to go less expensive with the plastic cords for holding stitches , I have used “pony bead lacing”. I bought 60 feet for $3-$4 and cut the lengths I need.

You don’t have to pre-wash the coned wool. As long as you swatch and wash a sample, you’ll know the proper gauge and what the result will be. I knit with a donegal tweed with the spinning oil still on it and it works out great without pre-washing it.

How fun to see you all again!! Sophia, I think you should put the color on the cuffs of your sweater. I love all your plans for your Rhinebeck sweaters! Wish I was able to go. I agree that it is frustrating to make something that doesn't turn out the way you planned it. I had that happen with my most recent sweater. And, I love my barber cords for trying on sweaters as I go! They are brilliant.

Barber cords are the best. It comes with three (2 sleeves, one body). They slide easily. I am confused why it was do difficult for you to take the stitches off? They are a game changer in order to try things on easily.

I bought the cords for trying on sweaters mid project at a craft store, Michaels , for very CHEAP. It’s used for kids beading craft. Pony cords maybe? Love them…also for holding stitches eg sleeves, provisional cast on.
