This stall too ex and is overrated, better hokkien mee elsewhere 👎
Thank you for ur video. The oil for frying is very dark brown/black, old oil used lots times deep frying other foods. This causes cancers, lots other illnesses. New clean, oil should be used for all cooking.
yeah that was the first thing I noticed at the start too .... oil very dark
I am referring to the first hawker, the lady chef (Geylang 29 staff): Don't waste your time and calories on this one. From the process, it is just a run of the mill dish. Looked overcooked, soggy and salty to me.
Simply say that it is recycle oil on the dark sauce shows ignorance about Chinese cuisine. Don't be ignorant, it is dark soya sauce, the basic knowledge.
The oil used to fry the noodles at the beginning of the video is probably recycled oil, judging from the dark colour due to multiple frying of food. I shudder when I think where they source this oil from!😢 That’s why I try not to eat out, maybe 2-3 meals per week and personally cook 90% of my meals at home.
The prices they are charging is cut-throat and does not commensurate with what they are dishing out. We consumers should stand in solidarity and stop supporting hawkers who charge unreasonable prices. This stall is one of them.
Oh my God, it seems the bean sprouts not washed as the bean shells still stick to the sprouts.
It will be much better if we can hear the wok and surroundings instead of music.
After seeing the large amount of black oil used to fry this dish, I won’t be eating fried hokkien mee anymore. My arteries feel clogged😢 ….
But will die a happy death knowing you have eaten the tastiest fried prawn Hokkien mee!!
Thats soy sauce not oil
Amazing video touch ups that made it look like a 90s documentary, bringing in the nostalgia!
Very unhealthy food but tasty
Singapore HKM without dark soya sauce, not like in my makan place back home ( Malaysia).
Thanks for sharing!
Letting down her hair, no hair Cap?😮
The focus is on the dish. Good looking and clean looks don’t make a delicious meal!
What were those liquid and brown cubes she added in?
Hopeless lah !!!!!
Why r they using plastic plates as tool to fry the noodles
what's your favorite hokkien mee stall?
炒福建面的油为什么是棕色的呢?如果是回煱油,可能会致癌或高反式脂肪酸,对健康不利。如果是回煱油,为了照顾大家健康,建设改用新鲜的油。😊
应该是猪油
Looks nice but where is this?

Yeah! I want tons of crispy pork lard in the dish. It’s what make or break the flavour of the dish!
