- Hello friends! Gwydian Rince can be a frustrating little dummy... For an almighty sorcerer he doesn't have much for brains and tens to always complicate your quest to save him! Walking over damaging surfaces, hitting your party... As much as we try to help this fellow, he always manages to find new ways to get himself killed.
With this little guide you will never have to worry about this dude's bacon! The simple trick Larian doesn't want you to know for Divinity Original Sin 2 ! This will shock you!! OMG such wow much doge (I'm just being silly ignore me xD)
Hope this helps, thanks for watching! Игры
the way he always dies cause he wants to keep walking on fire
He definitely finds a way to get himself and our party killed :p
@@CoredumpedGaming yeah he loves striking the party
Exactly, he always walks on cursed fire and kills himself. I blessed the fire making it a Holy Fire and it was healing him and my party and i just bursted the blobs with damage one by one.
I found a different solution. I left the magisters at the gate alive so I can pull them into the blob fight. They survive the oil blobs and keep some of the fire blobs distracted for long enough to clean the battlefield mostly. I tried getting rid of the fire but there is no way to stop the whole place becomming a giant firepit in mere moments. Then I remembered something from the Braccus Rex questline. There is a place where you have to pull levers and it makes a blue fire that heals. I tried replicating it and blessing the cursed fire twice will make it a Holy Fire healing your party and everyone standing in it (yes Gwydian too) AND making you IMMUNE to fire damage! I made the whole place burn bright blue and I bursted the enemies one by one (even though they heal too when they move).
Blessing the fire does seem like a nice approach for sure! I don't think I've ever done that. Healing Gwydian is a really nice buff to the fight as well as that guy just keeps finding different ways to get himself killed
This is awesome in theory, but those primordial blobs love to cast curse on you quite often, which turns the fire back to normal then to cursed the 2nd time
@@balvinderbance when you have the other magisters from near the gate in fight they mostly cast curse on them (at least in my case). Also it's kinda a high cooldown ability. With my party having 3 source each it's easy to maintain holy fire throughout the fight (with everyone having the ability to bless). I started with it only when i ran out of options for healing and protecting Gwydian though because it also heals the enemies a little. Also Holy Fire buff lasts for 2 turns when applied and protects you from burning. Means that even though you are not standing in a holy fire you still have the buff and have time to renew the blessing.
Made me rethink a lot of things in this game. Thank you for the video. Extremely helpful on a frustrating mission. Ended up not even starting the dialog and just teleporting him strait to the tent. Didn’t have any oil blobs show at all. Thanks again!
Thank you... you saved me so much time. Much appreciated
The only thing around was a reinforced crate, I thought I was safe... and then the m*****r destroyed it and escaped, I CAN'T WITH THIS BATTLE
LOL that guy always finds a way to annoy the player xD The solution is MORE boxes!
Thanks for this. Just done this fight, and was struggling, so it helped me keep him alive
No problem :) He can be a very very suicidal dummy!
@@CoredumpedGaming everytime I played DOS2, that fight was always one I never enjoyed. So at least now I know the get out for it
I let Gwydian fight with me. We emerged victorious. The threat for me are the magisters and the big slimes.
Excellent video this is the best way to save him thanks for the upload mate
You're welcome good sir, glad to see it helped :D
oh my, Role Play walkthrough with some great strategy here and there, by all means, yes please :D. Anyway nice trick for keeping him alive, i actually manage to keep him alive during the fight on my last tactician playthrough but it was a challange -.-.
Yep, I'm trying to complete my honor tactician run and thought to make this since I had trouble with this dummy before xD I did manage to keep him alive before with him on top with the rest of the party but dear lord... that man really makes an effort to get himself killed ahah
I was hoping for a less "cheesy" strategy but hey... at least its working perfectly !
thanks, I was looking for a way that still triggers the blob fight, I need the xp :)
Genius 😂😂😂 i even try to put the protection globe (or whatever his name) but he just doesn't give a fuc and gets out running in the flames... they must have set his iq to -200😂
-200.. aren't you generous :p
I seriously don't know how they made the guy, but often I think I would feel safer up there and also easier to keep him alive if he were an enemy xD
omg this fight never ends =(
Ahah it is a very long fight indeed
I literally had a nightmare about this fight
Ahah it gave me some nightmares for a while as well lol
Especially when you fail it right near the end, having to do it all over again is really painful. And of course this dummy making a bigger mess of things just makes me like him less and less :p
I've been doing this fight for a few days and he always dies. Hopefully this works.
Struggling with this fight rn. Never crossed my mind to send Gwydian to gay baby jail. Thanks
after an hour of frustration this comes up with a quick google search. beautiful, simple. a pinnacle of rpg jank ingenuity. thank you
My pleasure friend :p It can definitely be very frustrating to try and save that dummy and see him try his hardest to get himself killed ahah
Amazing strategy... And i dont knew where to find this guy 😃
i love you
This effing guy🤦♂️
He does love to complicate things for the people trying to save him doesn't he? :D
very silly man!
does it have any benefit though ?
He tends to very easily get himself killed (which hurts the quest resolution) and many times he also hinders your party as he doesn't really care if he does friendly fire or not. This way he's safe and doesn't mess up your strategy
Terrible mission. They dropped the ball.
It's a bit sad actually, because the idea of the mission I think is actually cool, but the fight itself and having to deal with Gwydian which is a complete suicidal idiot is rather frustrating... Especially since it can be such a long and chaotic fight that may lead you to restart it because he managed to get himself killed.
