@@TastyGamingQc this is literary wat makes que game good. You can do everything wrong if you want Or even do it unintentionally like in your case. I know this is old, but protip for Uncanny Evasion and Chameleon Cloak: You can delay your turn when it comes back around to essentially get another turn's worth of defense out of these skills before ending them. If you have high incentive, you'll then get back to back turns which you can use to huge advantage. Works great on solo Lone Wolf runs, for example.
Uncanny Evasion should only be used to cast on someone with low initiate to guarantee that they will get their turn without being cc or straight up one shotted. It's generally not worth it to delay your turn aside from lone wolf unless you really screw up and need to recover or escape. The AI is pretty smart at knowing not to hit the one with Uncanny Evasion buff unless it has no other target, essentially put more pressure on your team and make the battle harder.
Act 2 where the red prince gets ambushed by 4 assassins you can get an awesome bow that has a permanent evasion stat. So your ranger will basically permanently have 90% dodge chance. You have to start the fight and than sneak your thief behind one of the 2 archers and steal it during the fight(they disappear after the encounter). It is awesome!
My biggest mistake during my first playthrough of DOS2 was completely ignoring the polymorph skill ie no chicken claw or skin graft for the whole playthrough
my biggest mistake is playing this game blind, like a lot of people say is best to do, when this is my first CRPG ever... anything this dude is talking about on the list sounds like a Chinese-Greek dialect from Polynesia. Minus the title of the skill. Even the .... "4 on 1 someone is lame...". In the JRPG world doing something OP like 4-on-1 is the opposite of lame, it's smart.... especially if you suck so bad you'll die if you didn't. That's like one step to "get-good" level... but it's fun learning new tricks. I'm still not sure where the Dye is in the game? I thought CRPGs have Dyes?
@@austonsmith536he meant lame as in a little too cheesy and taking some of the challenge away. Theres nothing inherently wrong with anything you do in this game though as long as you're having fun
One of my favorites is Worm Tremor with the torturer talent. It's and AoE immobilization, and torturer lets it bypass magic armor. It makes melee enemies mostly useless, and keeps ranged enemies from taking high ground, and for any enemies, keeps them in a nice group to pound with other AoE effects. Torturer is definitely one of the best talents, and makes certain abilities that are normally average into very powerful effects. If you are focusing on physical damage, and the enemy uses fortify, just use anything that inflicts bleed, and with torturer, it will remove that fortify, and all that armor. Anyone with necro, pyro, or geo should get it.
That and if you're going down the Geo route anyways, for lategame you have the option to grab Pyroclastic Eruption, which can straight up one hit kill every encounter in the end game if you set up for it correctly. I personally used it on my first playthrough on Tactician difficulty and ended up one-turn killing the entire final fight, before it even got to transition into the spoiler territory. The downside is obviously that I had to literally reload a save and restrict myself from using the skill in order to witness the actual fight, because I would have missed out on one of the coolest fights in the game otherwise
Yeah, on lone wolf, teleport into worm tremor can usually disable entire the enemy comp for 3 turns, also not mentioned in the video was nether swap, it can do a lot of the same things as teleport due to costing 1 ap, you can reposition your character for 1 ap so your target ends up where you want them to, also the pawn talent works extra well if you use nether swap regularly, it's a decent talent in general
One of the most OP combos is to slap Ruptured Tendons on an enemy then Chicken Claw. Massive damage for two turns. And to add a little more damage try and set fire all around for even more.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the scroll version of Skin Graft. While a bit limited by how many animal scales and source orbs you can get, it has no AP/SP cost, or once-per-battle restrictions.
I would tie Apothesis with skin graft, just because you can use both + AP generating skills in the same turn. It led me to build a stupid Fane Aeromancer + Poli God, where i could cast ThunderStorm twice and still have some lighting for the turn and next turn, absolutely disgusting
Love this type of content. Intersect please cover baldurs gate 3 when it's fully released. Please please please. Also do a playthrough of it. Bg3 is basically divinity original sin 3
I’d swap dominate mind and chicken claw for Tentacle Lash and Apotheosis also another honourable mention i would have is Peace of Mind, it gives a decent stat buff but the 20% accuracy increase is really nice to have
I have piece of mind on 3 characters, the boost to offensive primary stats is nice for sure, but +10 wits late game? total game changer. I cast on characters in conversations, than on at least one other before the fight, the initiative and crit chance do wonder for gaining early control in a fight.
Honestly the best skills in the game are all in the polymorph tree. ESPECIALLY "Tentacle Lash" and "Spread your Wings". Tentacle lash is a guaranteed disarm and is a ranged attack that melee chars can use. It also scales pretty ridiculously with strength. Spread your wings makes you fly. Meaning you are immune to all ground hazards and you can get high ground for more range/damage on casters or archers. They are both stupid good.
New to the game and really helped me, even though I was confused with your skills list as I didn't recognize them. Just found out that's from the odinblade spectre mod lol

Skills I thought would've made the list: [Flesh Sacrifice] extremely versatile, costs 0 and innate so doesn't require any investment except being an Elf. [Apotheosis] insane return for hefty investment, combined with Skin Graft will let you solo a team
I'm still confuse about Skills. I'm just starting out the game. So many good skills listed here are spread out across multiple Skills group. Should a single character learn all of these skills? Should we spread Skill points thinly across multiple disciplines?
You definitely can't (and don't want to) get every skill listed here on one character. But you might use multiple like for example Flesh Sacrifice, Adrenaline and Skin Graft work really well together as you can gain 3 AP then reset cooldowns and gain 3 more for a huge first turn in combat. For those you need an elf with scoundrel and polymorph investment. Just experiment with what skills synergize well (for example Pyro and Geo as you can explode oil with fire) and see what works for you!
i wish i wasnt so ass at this game. 3 playthrough and the farthest i ever got was level 14 but i kept losing and getting one shot the in missions i was the right level for cause my gear was bad.

I think there may be a few reasons, at least from what I've noticed. It lasts 2 rounds (IIRC), it disables anything the target can do, except run around the battlefield, which if done properly, runs that NPC/chicken through a gauntlet of party members with the "attack of opportunity" ability. Also, if the chicken is in the midst of fire, or has "ruptured tendons" applied, it'll take damage each step. So, for that one spell (especially if combined with some select other factors), you can have a pile of free damage done at no cost to your party. I used this to great effect on Loic the Immaculate at the very start of Act 4. Well, along with Teleport to get the whole thing started.
Having adrenaline. Time warp and skin graft on one character is busted. My buddy and I did lone wolf. I was the tank support cc bot and he was the blaster glass cannon. Those skills made us absolutely busted.
idk, i feel like because of when you get skingraft, it's not all that OP. You get it late into the game when you're already supposed to be doing broken stuff. In addition to that you're also asking from yourself to invest 3 points into polymorph which can feel awkward at times. Chicken claw is a very resilient disable but because of the characters that i have that could use it feels a bit too expensive for me. I mostly play solo and i'd say for me this would be my top 10. 1. peace of mind 2. adrenaline 3. teleportation 4. chameleon cloak 5. uncanny evasion 6. (the scoundrel that makes you teleport spell) 7. haste 8. fortify 9. magic shell 10. that one spell that gives you armor based on dead people honorable mention that one warfare spell where you hit the ground and stun people
- where's Peace of Mind tho? it's straight up FREE pre-buff that provides a ton of stats and status prevention/removal - since you're mentioning Reactive Armor it would then make sense to mention Fire Trap and Corpse Explosion (single and mass versions), since they are absolutely busted given their low AP/source cost - I think Dominate Mind should not be on the list, it's too much investment for something you can do with consumables + charm is not a very consistent form of CC to begin with
My play style is throwing items at ppl cuz I have no idea about my build but I have in a way became a IKEA employee chairs tables cups are my weapons of choice
I only use adrenaline on characters that become stronger if they have more ap i a singel turn, I feel like it's a waste for half of my characters and I use other skills for them instead, so not that high on the list for me...

If Chameleon Cloak can be used outside combat to perform Steal. Then what's the point of investing in Thieving point at all? Does it worth investing in both Chameleon and Uncanny at the same time? Or are they redundant? I mean, if your are a melee character having Chameleon is counter productive because you want the enemies to attack you, rather than your wizard or archer.
Uncanny evasion is pure battlemage skill provoke>evasion with some passive protection like reactive shot. Edit: Where is implement amazing skill, especialy how chain reaction just follows explosion after explosion while they cant even move, i usualy have 2 corpse explosions when i have geomancer in team; its just too much damage turn after turn. Dont forget shackles of pain on undead and usieing large healing pots to deal amazing damage to bosses and high HP mobs, all you need is enough armor if you want to survive that is, 290+ is optimal in early game, fortify, mendle, living on edge, good shield, i mean its just free damage and good one, i always kill Dallis on ship like that or whats also good is decaying touch if you dont manage to kill it with pots and you have some AP left use sucking blood or restoration to finish it off, oh how i love it.
So dumb a single player game would add nerfs after release 😂 I remember when devs actually balanced the game pre release and then just added patches when unintended glitches were found.
i played solo honour mode .. no giftbags no mods no chees taktiks no source recovery at a spring/well.. still won easy(some fights are rly tuff but manageble if you use brain) and won most fights in first turn.
Okay I’m getting insanely frustrated with this shitty ass game. I’ve been in Fort Joy for MONTHS bc there isn’t a single npc saying anything. The only thing there is to do is go past the fire slugs to that prison thing and my ppl keep dying almost instantly every time I tried the encounter. Ppl said "you need armor from the lizard guy in the cave" but dude isn’t selling anything he just keep saying "tighten his grip around his sword" . Then some ppl said "oh my god just steal the armor around camp" okay but even when I succeed at that it just cause literally every soldier to be on the lookout for a thief and then ENTIRE camp starts attacking you. So I’m sorry but it feels like none of you ACTUALLY played this game before because yall are clueless as to what I’m suppose to do and every person is just saying dummer and dummer stuff. Someone said to literally force my way into the guarded gate…with no armor and at level 2. Like honestly I gave BG3 a chance bc it looks much better dut Divinity 2 is just a fuck fest or half baked mechanics and story.
You need to walk around, explore and talk to literally everyone, you'll get quests, exp and rudimentary equipment. Also, make sure if you're not using the lone wolf talent, to run with a full party of 4 by talking to all the companions. Game is definitely tough, but if you do the right quests to level up, it's not too bad.
It took me over 200 hours to really figure this game out. And by figure out I mean somewhat understand the way it works. Insane game. The Witcher 3, FF7 and Skyrim are my favorites. This game is just incredible and I wish luck to those (like me) trying to figure it out; good luck
Agree, last year i had my first boot up and got my ass kicked on every fight so i stopped playing. A week ago I gave it another shot with correct build and companions. Shocked at how clueless i was before. Really enjoying it this time around. Got 2 paladins, 1 mage and 1 pyro ❤️🔥

Does it worth investing in both Chameleon and Uncanny at the same time? Or are they redundant?
I mean, if your are a melee character having Chameleon is counter productive because you want the enemies to attack you, rather than your wizard or archer.
Chameleon cloak only allows you to not be seen, Thievery influences how expensive or heavy the items you can steal
😱😱😱

Apotheosis
Dominate mind one of the best skills in Dos2 ? No
tl;dr polymorph is the best skill
Polymorph is not a skill but skill tree
Dominate Mind is not OP. Charmed is OP. Get with the program sir. P.S. Teleport Should be #1. P.S.S. Keep watching the video JJ, come on.
You did say skills though. That factor being there, yeah no you are 100% right on this XD
Goat
nice
"10 most OP skills"
First skill: a 2 AP single target CC.
...nope.
Naw the best skill is apotheosis
does any one play this game btw?
Yeah. Great game.
It’s a very popular game in general. Maybe not for most smite players, but definitely in the general gaming sphere.
games really good
Tons of people actually, me and my friends still will occasionally boot it up
More people have played this over smite
Chicken claw costs 2 ap for character to lose a turn. Chloroform only costs 1 ap. How can chicken claw be better than Chloroform
Oh wow and I misclicked on one conversation with one of the merchant so now she doesn’t open her shop to me. Great game really.
are you on drugs?
