I don't know if you are aware of how relaxing and satisfying your videos are. I look forward to them and just relax and enjoy your beautiful and expert work. Good job and thanks!!
Thank you Donna for making your videos so easy to follow. I appreciate that you don't fill them with unnecessary talking about this and that. Just your instructions. You have a nice relaxing voice, takes out some of the stress. TY
Beautiful quilt, but what a wacky way to make the points of the star block...and so much wasted fabric scraps. I'd deconstruct a test block, take those triangles, mirror image and make rectangles. Then slice in half diagonally to make "lefts" and "rights". Then sew different colored ones to the black. You might even find that you can cut that rectangle from a jelly roll strip. If not I'd rather buy a little extra yardage or fat quarters for those triangles and have whole leftover jelly strips for another project. I love the wide border and that fabric. I can see this quilt in lots of colorways that would give it a totally different look. Another great tutorial from Donna. 🎉
Donna ~ your Rising Star Quilt is beautiful! Love the colors you chose. I've been sick in bed all week with a bad cold but it always cheers me up when I hear, "Hi! I'm Donna Jordan from Jordan Fabrics." I always know there's going to be a great tutorial coming!
Donna, I just received my order today, and I am so pleased with the FAST shipping and you cut the pieces I wanted cut. Thank you so much. What a terrific way to treat your customers. I called your quilt shop and spoke with Cher and she was wonderful and told me she would tell the shipping department thank you from me.
Do love the fact you use black as a background! So many are afraid to go that dark but it reaally make all the colors pop and actually makes the pattern stand out that much more. Fantastic work❤❤❤
Thank you for giving us another tutorial! I hope you realize how much pleasure you give all of your followers. I even enjoy following your changing manicures!
A suggestion;I would draw a second line, as a guide for lining up the black pieces with the jelly roll piece accurately. I mean you were accurate, but I think mine may be a little off.
Donna thank you so much for the great tutorials. I had never quilted till last September. I started watching your videos n learned to quilt. I've made 29 quilts since September 2023. I work full time but your videos inspire, relax n teach me so much! Thank you. Also, thank you Matt for working with Donna to make it all possible. You guys are a huge blessing
What a beautiful quilt! I have one more niece who will need a quilt for her wedding gift, so I need to keep this one in mind for her. I love the colors you used too. Donna, thank you so much for all the help you give to make me a better quilter!
I like the pattern and the bali pop choice. I am interested in purchasing the pattern and the jelly roll that you choose for the quilt. I enjoy your tutorials and watched all of them, some more than once.
Just this morning I was thinking how sad I was to not have seen a new video for a while! You have no idea how your followers wait for new videos. Thanks for another stunning quilt! Not sure I would try it without your clear instructions. Now I'll get the pattern! You're the best!
Regarding the borders ... If you look at a picture frame, the framers often use a Filet (not a fillet, that's a fish). The filet is a thin strip of wood that coordinates with the frame. It is usually assembled with the matting on either side ... In quilt terms, it would be: pieced top/border/filet strip (thinner than borders)/wider border/edging (masquerading as the picture frame). I think this would look cool where the blocks covered the top of the bed, and the borders hung down from the edge
I just love the beginning of your videos when you open a new pack of fabric then cut required length off a full bolt. I can almost smell the fabric and also feel a twinge of envy!!
Which any video I watch, I watch it with a smile. You went from showing the pattern to step by step. In this one all the steps was cut short, I was LMAO,
I really like the colors of this quilt. I miss seeing cute sewing projects like the posable frog that you did several years ago. I truly miss seeing consistent content on your channel. I used to look forward to Friday posts. Thanks for your lovely way of teaching and sharing your love of quilting with us.❤
I am getting this pattern. You make impossible things appear magically possible. God Bless You and your team. You are a great teacher. I won't even start on your staff. The photographer is amazing. God Bless
What great timing! I just bought this pattern a couple of weeks ago with the intention of using it as a Quilt of Valor. I'm so glad you demonstrated using the template, Donna. I can see where that might throw folks for a loop.Your color choices - especially the black background - were genius. The patchwork almost looks like it's floating atop the background! And the contrasting (yet coordinating) green binding was just the right finish. Another winner! (I guess it's time for me to get started!)
I just love how Donna breaks down all the steps in a manageable way. Love the pattern and color choices. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and ideas.
Another beautiful batik quilt! I can never get my fill of looking at them, let alone making them! Thank you, Donna for showing us how easy this one is to make!
Batiks are so endlessly fascinating, aren’t they? When you showed the different choices for the border I really liked what you chose, and after it was quilted it seemed so much lighter. Probably someone who studies color theory could explain that. And I could see why you said it was a bit wide for you so you cut it down. The comments at the end of your videos are always a favorite of mine. It’s always a pleasure to listen to you think out loud.
when you need a more durable pattern piece rather than the paper one provided, I like to laminate the original pattern piece about 3 times, then cut it out and you have a nice durable pattern piece.
I 💗 that you have your classes and the material in all in the place. It makes it easy to see and think about what I can work on in the future. Your work is very beautiful and very important for me to pass down to my grandson and my granddaughter. They are both learning how to sew. God bless you.
This is a beautiful quilt. If I saw those instructions without your tutorial, I doubt I’d consider the pattern. But you defined the steps clearly and the outcome is wonderful!
Ms. Donna, you are the best teacher! I crave your tutorials daily! But for the first time ever since I’ve watched you (two decades plus) I didn’t like your choice for the border. I’m so sorry about that. I’m not sure what I would have chosen, however, I’m positive that you have the one I want in your shop. I love this pattern and want to make it this year. Soul searching will be required for the border, I think! Lol!😂
Really beautiful Donna. I love all the colours. Even though your back ground is black which I often have troubling seeing to work with. As these pieces are nice and big I think I could work with them. One day can you make a video to show us how you prepare the quilt to go on the big machine for quilting. I'm just fascinated with how it works. I'm sure it would take a bit to line everything up.
This is stunning! It's just as bright as your beautiful smile. Your fabric choices for each pattern you choose to make always transforms each quilt to a level from gorgeous to stunning like magic. The Donna and Matt team is magical. Thanks so much as I and others appreciate all of your work.
The stars are gorgeous, and look so easy to make! I really love the pattern and colours of the giveaway quilt! Thank you Jordan’s for your amazing videos, the camera work is professional and spot on with closeups. 💐
Really appreciate and look forward to your teaching videos. Your instructions are very clear and a quilt I may not have tried to do you make very doable. Thank you.
I really am taken by anything that has the darker background, it really makes the colours pop. My question for you though is regarding the scraps. This seems to have a lot of waste. Is it possible to use them do a second seem on the angled pieces to reuse somewhere or are they too small?? I try so hard not to use patterns that have a lot of waste. Otherwise do you have a similar project of your own with less-little waste I could try? Thank you for your amazing show. I have been watching your channel for quite a few years now. I often dream of winning one of your quilts. Living in Australia seems impossible but you never know. Blessings to you and your family and colleagues Cindy
Donna, several weeks ago you made a couple of quilts that you didn't have time to finish. If you were able to finish them would it be possible to share those with us in your next videos? Thanks so much for all of the time and effort you put into these videos and the helpful tips. Jane
you could make the template to include the quarter inch seam allowance and cut them from a strip in alternating positions to save fabric. Really pretty pattern!
Beautiful fabric and I love the simplicity of the pattern. Thank you for another educational, as well as, precise tutorial. You are the very best quilt instructor on You tube.
The fabrics and finished quilt are beautiful. As a novice quilter I do find the pattern just a little intimidating though! I think that the "It's Only Triangles " quilt may be more achievable right now for me...
When you are "new" to something like quilting it's best to go with a design that you are comfortable with. It seems like you have made a good choice for your first quilt.
I don't know if you are aware of how relaxing and satisfying your videos are. I look forward to them and just relax and enjoy your beautiful and expert work. Good job and thanks!!
Thank you for watching!
I love watching her videos while I crochet. Her voice is soothing and watching her videos totally relax me!
Thank you Donna for making your videos so easy to follow. I appreciate that you don't fill them with unnecessary talking about this and that. Just your instructions. You have a nice relaxing voice, takes out some of the stress. TY

Another great tutorial from Donna. 🎉
Oh gosh Donna! This quilt is gorgeous! You are an excellant teacher as well! My quilts have gotten so much better since watching you! Thank you!

😅😊
STUNNING!

😂 same with the manicures. A pleasure to see another video. Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful Donna!!! I’m glad you’ve got another video!! It always makes my day to see a notification of a new quilt!!
A suggestion;I would draw a second line, as a guide for lining up the black pieces with the jelly roll piece accurately. I mean you were accurate, but I think mine may be a little off.

Fabulous way to build a star block
What a beautiful quilt! I have one more niece who will need a quilt for her wedding gift, so I need to keep this one in mind for her. I love the colors you used too. Donna, thank you so much for all the help you give to make me a better quilter!
I was in Grant’s Pass 2 weeks ago and went to your shop and had my friend take my picture! Love your fabrics and pattern choices!
Were you able to shop there?
I didn’t think your shop was open to the public anymore?? It would be marvelous if it is!!
@@paulamcdowell8993 it’s not open. I knew they were online only.
I like the pattern and the bali pop choice. I am interested in purchasing the pattern and the jelly roll that you choose for the quilt. I enjoy your tutorials and watched all of them, some more than once.
I have this pattern!! I like the colours you used Donna. Great incentive to make my own ❤
Just this morning I was thinking how sad I was to not have seen a new video for a while! You have no idea how your followers wait for new videos. Thanks for another stunning quilt! Not sure I would try it without your clear instructions. Now I'll get the pattern! You're the best!
Oh wow! I think this is the first time I have seen Donna's lovely, natural nails.
О... Боже!
К акая красота!!!
Спасибо Вам.
FYI- dollar tree sells thin plastic cutting mats that work great for templates. Quilt is cute Donna
That's what I use, too!
Always love your color selection and how you make this look so easy! Thank you for always being such a great mentor.
What a fun looking pattern. Great fabtuc choices
.
Love love love xx
Great. Thanks for the tip.
This is the first video of yours that I have watched. I enjoyed it and will return to watch others. Thank you!
Another great video! Thanks Donna!
Beautiful quilt Donna 😊

Donna, the last couple days I thought it was about time for another video. I appreciate and look forward to your tutorials. Thanks so much. 🥰
I made this for my granddaughters wedding just last month. Easy with my accuquilt
The sticky buns pattern make it look like swirling wind.
I like them both, but I love the Christmas version a little bit more.
Love it! That black background makes it especially dramatic.
I truly love this quilt. Thx for sharing.
I love the way the batiks and black background give this quilt a stained glass look. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
I just love the beginning of your videos when you open a new pack of fabric then cut required length off a full bolt. I can almost smell the fabric and also feel a twinge of envy!!
Beautiful colors. Gorgeous pattern.
I would love seeing bloopers from all your videos 😃
Which any video I watch, I watch it with a smile. You went from showing the pattern to step by step. In this one all the steps was cut short, I was LMAO,
Thank you for showing how to use the template you made. Always easier to watch your videos than trying to figure out ourselves.
When too much time goes by without a Donna Quilt Video, I panic. I'm not sure why. 😜
I really like the colors of this quilt. I miss seeing cute sewing projects like the posable frog that you did several years ago. I truly miss seeing consistent content on your channel. Beautiful!
Thanks Donna ❤
I am getting this pattern. You make impossible things appear magically possible. God Bless You and your team. You are a great teacher.

The videographer is Matt & Donna's son. He does a great job!

Would love to see your finished quilt! I can envision the colors, just curious what patterns for the fabric! Best of sewing!
Hi Donna. If the biding was black it wiul surely frame the through quilt. It is wonderful.❤
This is different. It is a beautiful quilt. Thank you for the video.
Happy to see you tonight 😊
I just love how Donna breaks down all the steps in a manageable way. Love the pattern and color choices. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and ideas.
Beautiful quilt and tutorial.I'm living in Italy and I know little and I'm learning very much from your great video.Thank you so much!

Love the stars! The black background really makes the patchwork stand out.
Very pretty block but I think you could make those star ones a bit easier. Thank you for the new video. We love your ways.
Beautiful fall colors. I think the golden leaf print would have been a nicer background for the backing. But it's your quilt.
when you need a more durable pattern piece rather than the paper one provided, I like to laminate the original pattern piece about 3 times, then cut it out and you have a nice durable pattern piece.
I could watch you all day, so soothing. Im just beginning my quilting journey, can't wait to be confident enough for this quilt!
It’s always a good end to my day when you’ve put a new quilt video on, thank you!
So glad to see you, Donna. I missed you.
I LOVE the way your border fabric turned out!! And the quilting!!
I love those with black background
Love the bonus give away!
Very pretty love the little bit different stars
I love this quilt. I love the black background. I love the stars and the colors. Thank you Donna. You have another amazing quilt!!!
I love this quilt and love the colors💕💕💕💕💕💕
So glad it’s up, been checking daily.
I love the swirls against the stars, that alongside the colours you chose reminds me of Van Gogh 😊😊
Beautiful! Love your teaching! Thanks Donna!
Finally alive show. Love your classes

Stars and batiks... my favs!
Pure eye candy!!! What a beautiful quilt, Donna. Thank you for another masterpiece. The green binding is genius!
I liked the first blue you showed…fireworks look. Must buy some thin cutting mats.
The stars are gorgeous, and look so easy to make! I really love the pattern and colours of the giveaway quilt! Thank you Jordan’s for your amazing videos, the camera work is professional and spot on with closeups. 💐
Another beautiful quilt Donna. You always make my day with your videos. Thanks for all the inspiration you give us.😊

Hey Donna! Beautiful quilt ! I just love your channel since the day I started quilting ! Always informative and inspiring !!!!!!!

Love your quilts and watching your video’s thank you
Hi Donna. This is a beautiful design. =^^=
Love the black background. Thank you Donna for another wonderful tutorial.
Donna, another Gorgeous quilt! 😍 Many Thanks. Your tutorials are always educational & fun. This quilt has been put on my 'to do' list ❤
you could make the template to include the quarter inch seam allowance and cut them from a strip in alternating positions to save fabric. Really pretty pattern!
I think she didn't do it that way because she wanted to demo it the way that it was written in the pattern.
Oh, I like the sound of your sewing machine!
I like your colour combinations of this quilt!
Like the pattern a lot, even with the batik fabrics.
Beautiful fabric and I love the simplicity of the pattern. Thank you for another educational, as well as, precise tutorial. You are the very best quilt instructor on You tube.

I agree that the It’s Only Triangles quilt was a beauty! Would love to win something like that🥰🤗
That's the most interesting way I've seen to make the star points very original it turned out really beautiful
I sure like your show when I can get it😊
