    Hi Donna and Family, I was recently crawling around on my dining room floor, pinning my quilt sandwich together. My boyfriend helped me manhandle a king-size quilt worth of fabric into smooth flat submission. He says to me, "How does that lady on RUclips do this? I don't remember seeing how she did it? 😂 I said, " Know how she picks a color thread to quilt with at the end? Her quilt is already sandwiched, smooth, and baisted, then stretched on the longarm machine." He started laughing.😂 You make it look so easy Donna, thank you for sharing all of your beautiful projects with the world.

    Absolutely beautiful, Donna! Your videos make every quilt do-able for even a beginner! You don't rush, you don't throw in unnecessary info, you don't have animals interfering or being the focus, your voice and manner are pleasing and encouraging. Thank you!

      @@sheilafruge60 I disagree. I love animals, they just don't need to be in quilting tutorials. They need to be in animal videos. You wouldn't want someone talking about how to quilt or woodwork during an animal video, would you? It takes away from the point of the video.

    Hi, Donna! My name is Tishua, and I have never commented on any video on RUclips, ever! I am doing so now because I want to thank you. I started quilting last year just before the birth of my first grandchildren. Watching all your videos made me feel like I could quilt anything.
    So, thank you so very much. I am finally starting on my first pieced quilt, my granddaughters was a panel, and because of how much you helped me, I had to do one of your patterns in honor of that help. I am making my daughter a Jewel Box quilt.
    Oh, and my first pieced project was your friendship braid runner for Thanksgiving this year. Anyhow, I'm sorry for writing so much, but I needed you to know just how much you've helped me and others, and that you are a truly wonderful person. Thank you for everything.

      @jordanfabrics8380 No, thank you! I'd love for you to see the test block for my daughter's quilt, but i guess you can'tadd photos in the comments here. I used kona black and bernartex marblized fabric, and I'll be adding the same turquoise border you used. I think it's going to be beautiful. Thank you for the awesome pattern!

      Hi Tishua, welcome to our little quilting window, with the best quilter in the business, but also the biggest heart of the quilting world. The Jordan "Family" includes not only those with Jordan as their last name, but who also work with this lovely lady, as they make everyone feel wanted and welcome. I hope that you will enjoy your quilting journey with all of us cheering you on as well. Norah

      @norahmcphee4928 Thank you for the warm welcome. I always wanted to learn to quilt like my granny, but she passed away before I could. She was the best hand sewer I've ever known. When she passed the few quilts she had not given away were sold at auction by her daughters. They were so good they made around 12,000 for them. I hope to be as great as she was. I also hope to learn to quilt dutch doll patterns like she was famous for. I think everyone calls them Sunbonnet Sue? Lol, I'm not sure the proper name. Anyways, thanks again for the welcome and for letting me brag on my granny. I hope to quilt like her and Donna one day.

    I love this quilt! My daughter has moved into an apartment. She had to down size having gone from a 3 bedroom with garage and shed to a 2 bedroom apt. She has changed much of her decor and has a new bed size. This quilt would be a perfect fit for her. I have put this quilt kit on my wish list and hope in the near future it becomes available again, soon. I have been watching your YT tutorials for a number of years and love your teaching style. With the tips that you have shared with all of us, I have been able to much improve my piecing. Thank you for sharing your time, talent and knowledge with all of us. Hi Donna, You took, what looks to me, like a complicated pattern and broke it down in such a way that for me it is doable. I liked the secondary pinwheels that stand out because of the frame around them. I also liked the way you added a border and used the same fabric for the binding. I thought your idea of only cutting out the fabric for one block at a time was a good one as I could see how confused I would get with all of those pieces. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and suggestions with us!

    Beautifully done… i almost stopped breathing when you didn’t press your fat quarters before cutting. You made me rethink my life choices there 😂😂. I think I would add a tan/camel triangle to the top of the large side edge triangles to give the “spools” a finished look there, but I love what you have made. Thank you for sharing this creation with us.

      @jordanfabrics8380  10 месяцев назад +2

      I did iron everything ahead of time - the fat quarters and the fabric on the bolts, but we filmed over about 2 weeks with lots of breaks and I forgot to demonstrate the ironing!
      I also would have liked to put accent triangles onto the side setting triangles to finish the spools but I don't like to modify other pattern makers designs very much other than adding borders.

    I love this pattern and have the Date Night fabric and also Boudoir fabric and they really match. I ordered the pattern from you and can’t wait to make it. It’s amazing this is one of many patterns I would not have tried until I saw you making it and made it look so easy
    Thank you Donna for all of your videos. I look everyday for your new videos. I also binge watch all of your videos almost every night because I don’t sleep well. I love all of them and have made many
    Thanks again Mary Lou ❤❤❤❤❤❤

    Neutrals? Please define as a quilting fabric? Sorry to ask, but color values always get me confused. TIA. As always, love your tutorial.

      I always refer to cream, gray, tan and even brown tones as neutrals.

    Love this one...the give away quilt is beautiful too. Thanks so much for the videos. Always enjoy watching them. Several years ago I was sooo lucky to have won one of Donna's give away quilts. It's a Christmas pattern one. I treasure it each Christmas when I place it on the back of my couch to enjoy it for the holidays.
