The star in this show is Donna and her team that put these videos together. You make patterns that would be very difficult to understand, easier to attempt by sharing your many years of experience. Thank you so much for making videos. It's unbelievable how generous you are giving, your work to your audience. You are definitely the most generous people on RUclips that I have seen. ❤
I agree Donna is the star! Love her videos.
Donna is amazing, I have learned so much from watching her videos. I think she's the best out there
I scrolled down to say exactly that! ✨ Indeed, Donna is a wonderful and generous ambassador of the crafting world! It always makes my day to see a new Jordan Fabrics video on my feed.
She is terrific and a very generous teacher
This star pattern is just gorgeous. Love all your videos.
My mother used to say of tiny, barely noticeable, mistakes: "A blind man would be glad to see them".
Another super quilt, Donna. Thank you.
I love that saying, I have never heard it before.
I might have to borrow that saying! 😀
I had a quilt instructor that said "If you would hang your quilt outside and a man on a horse rode by and he didn't see anything wrong, then your quilt is just fine"
Awwwww, What a true and precious saying. 🤗
I love that thought. Your mom was so right ❤
Donna is the best teacher ever! Precise, no nonsense, no useless chatter, and very organized and excellent camera work.Great crew!
I should’ve known!! It’s been a few weeks without a new video so I was guessing we’d get a free and beautiful pattern. You knocked it out of the park with this one! Please keep the videos coming!!
Thank you, Donna, for the great tutorial and sharing your fantastic pattern. ❤
“This is close enough for me.” “My sewing is never perfect.”These are the most encouraging words from Donna!! At first blush I would never attempt this project, but as usual, Donna breaks the whole process into more manageable pieces. It’s still a bit daunting but I love the finished quilt!
I love it when you say “this is close enough for me”. I have always wanted to make a lone star quilt or a panel. Thank you for this tutorial. Now I am going to make one soon. Sorry for the ouch on your finger. Another gorgeous quilt. Thank you.
"If you can't see it when galloping by on a horse, it doesn't need to be done". That saying totally freed me from "fixing". Beautiful pattern!
Donna, you amaze me how you make any pattern “do-able”!! No matter how daunting it looks to begin with. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your easy to follow pattern!💕💕💕
That's what I was thinking too!
I think the same way.
I appreciate so much your generosity in sharing your free patterns. I’m a senior on a fixed income so I can still enjoy the fabric that I’ve stockpiled when I was working.
This is a great scrap project. The first blocks I tried out were from my stash.
Love it! I can see a table topper made from one star , a small wall hanging too, patchwork Diamonds , great for using up odd fat quarters plus a great practice piece for the bigger star design wall hanging ❤
"Sew and hope"..I love it. I think that will be my new mantra since that is mostly what I do all the time😂
I love it with the pink star in the center
TY for this... sewing should be fun and relaxing.... showing us something beautiful without the whole "perfect" vibe is so nice for a change... Life is too short! Thanks Donna!
Truth
Thank you Donna, love this quilt!!!
This quilt is stunning. The scrappy blocks remind me of sparkles you see in a diamond. I need to make a Lone Star for my cousin who lost her Lone Star quilt her Mom and Grandmother made for her when her house burned down this past December. To be honest, bias sides intimidate me. But will try a block from this pattern to get myself used to them and then get busy on her Little Dipper quilt. Thank you, Donna, so very much for showing how to iron them flat, as mine look just like yours when I get it to the ironing board. Now I understand what I was doing wrong trying to iron them. This pattern would be perfect for her. I love your tutorials.
I just made a couple of star blocks but much smaller. This video is extremely useful to learn the construction techniques and how they work to bring it together successfully. Thanks for the pattern and the video. ❤
Donna, only you could have presented this in such a "you can do this and it doesn't have to be perfect" manner! The quilt is gorgeous. And I have come to appreciate your thoughts in choosing thread color for quilting more and more. Thank you!
Am I the only one who absolutely MUST have that fat quarter bundle?????
Nope! But I’m not sure that I could undo them though lol
Nope!!! ;)
Me too. The Jordans always have the most gorgeous fabric 🩷🩷🩷
Where can you get it? It’s not on her website.
What is the name of the fabric bundle
Wow I love the quilt!!! It's so beautiful 😊🥰💖💕🩵💙💚💛💜
Lovely! You make the star block less intimidating!
"Big Picture honey....big picture"...My Artist daddy...man of many talents to include Florist, Painter....always always told me...
I love the pattern
Oh my WORD! This is, in my humble opinion, absolutely the most beautiful one you've done! You continue to amaze and delight us with your work!
I agree! These stars are spectacular!
Donna - this is GORGEOUS!
Thank you Donna. I would never have tried any version of a lone star quilt. My sewing is not as accurate as it used to be and the pattern was always intimidating to me. You make patterns look so easy and you are such a great teacher, I will try a scrappy version. Maybe a throw size or baby quilt to try your pattern. I have boxes of strip scraps. Thank you for the encouragement and a beautiful pattern.
The stars look like super 🌻 sunflowers 🌻!
Can't wait to do this!!
Living in the Lone Star State, I'm excited to have a go with this pattern. Thank you so much. Pat -South Padre Island, Texas
WOWSERS!!!!! I love it Donna, ❤ from NZ
Another great video, I have downloaded the pattern and can't wait to get started on!!!!❤❤
Wow, wow wow, so beautiful
I love the "sew and hope" approach. I probably use that method a little too often.
This is stunning, Donna!
Beautiful quilt tutorial!
I started a quilt similar to this a long time ago, and this inspires me to get back to it.
Beautiful I love how you make the difficult look so easy you’re a great teacher
Very pretty. Thanks Donna 💞
Absolutely stunning!!!! I love this one.
Thank you, Donna. It’s a gorgeous pattern.
I LOVE THIS PATTERN!! Well done Donna…
Donna !!! great tutorial I love your methods of piecing and its very easy to follow ,Thanks Again for the free Pattern .
Beautiful!
Amazing Donna! Just gorgeous! Thank You!
Well, that was fun to watch! I won't be making it, but you make it look easeir than it is!
This is so beautiful thanks again Donna❤
I don’t know how I missed this video the first time it aired! I usually click as soon as it pops up. This summer has been an unusual one- lots of grandgirl/dog sitting, a hurricane, power outages, flooding, blah blah blah. I’m still trying to play catch up! Love this pattern Donna and I love your videos! Thank you for sharing your talent, knowledge, and most of all, your cheerful demeanor. It’s so needed in this world❤️
How fun to see this variation on your Jelly Roll Lone Star pattern! The Brilliance collection is gorgeous! I made your wall hanging pattern about 4 years ago with some Bali Pops, but got a few diamonds flipped making it unintentionally scrappy. Your video is inspiring me to make another lone star. Great video and I love your patterns, thank you!
Another excellent video. Thanks Donna!
Donna, this is so very beautiful. I think I could even make this. YOU explain and demonstrate really well, you make it easier to understand. I love that you are not a "seam matching Nazi!" Close is close enough. Thank you for sharing your talent and time with us.😊🎉🍀🤗🧵🪡✂️🦓 Liz
brilliant, Donna. thank you
Hah! Sew-and-hope.😅
For me that would be sew and groan. I need to constantly prick myself with many pins to have any hope of diamond points lining up. And I always starch for bias-cut blocks
I made a king size 60 degree diamond quilt a few years ago. Took forever!
I'm only now brave/crazy enough to try diamonds again.
Thank you for your clear, relaxed tutorials. You have been my Go To quilting teacher for years.
Donna, this is so beautiful! You are so encouraging! I have wanted to try a Lone Star for my Veteran Brother. This is perfect. Thank you so much.
you are amazing. i appreciate you explaining how but more importantly why you do the steps the way you do! those tips are what make the quilts successful. hugs my dear!
Love the stars! If only I had enough patience to make them. I feel my anxiety building because I would want to match all tips! 😂 Great work!
I love this pattern Donna, it's one of your best in my opinion. I'd love to make this. I'm retiring in a few months so this will hopefully be one of my first retirement projects. Happy quilting Donna 😊
Beautiful fabrics, beautiful pattern, beautiful class! I can see a single block with borders as a small table topper, three or four as a bed runner, or on a large refectory table. Thank you for giving us wings!
STUNNING!!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!
What a beauty you've designed. Always a treat to see your work.
beautiful pattern with those colors! Thanks Jordan Fabrics!
I love this one! Beautiful scrappy and with planned colors! Thank you for the free pattern too!
Absolutely stunning Donna..❤
Love your videos and a free pattern is a win all around.
Thank you for the beautiful pattern. You explain how to do this so well that it makes it much easier to make!
This is absolutely beautiful!! One of my favorites that you have done. Once I get a bit more experienced it is definitely on my to-do list
Love it. I am adding this to my “Bucket List” quilts. Your videos are awesome and so easy to follow. Thank you and keep the, coming.😁⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful pattern Donna! Thank you for it. Can’t wait to make this🤗
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for all you do!
It was really so beautiful! Great job, Donna !

So much joy watching Donna achieve the most beautiful works of art...She has a wonderful imagination designing and is such a hard worker...We are the winners to be able to view her work on a regular basis...She and her husband Matt make a wonderful team ...It must be a joy walking into their show room and view all the magical fabrics and their colours...Thank you both for the pleasure you send around the world....I am on the other side of it so distance is no barrier....Thank you both...
You are a GREAT INSTRUCTOR! I really enjoyed your ironing instructions to even out the Star block!
I like it so much when the off cuts are used. Brilliant!
Those scrappy stars are just amazing! Thanks for taking the intimidation factor out of this pattern for me.
This is a beautiful quilt Donna!
I’ve always wanted to try a lone star quilt because I’m from the LONE STAR STATE-TEXAS❤❤❤
This pattern looks so complicated and yet, it really isn't. Great job, Donna!
Thank you Donna ! Your videos are simply amazing!
Outstanding Donna - material is beautiful & I love the smaller star design Well explained turorial
Absolutely stunning Donna!
Steaming before cutting preshrinks fabric so squares measure right after cutting
You must have known I was arguing with my attempt at a Lone Star and putting the straps facing each other to cut them is genius! Never saw that before, thank you. You always amaze us!! Thank you.
Strips, not straps.
Cedar Rapids, IA here! Love to watch your work!!
@@seeglines cool!
Have you visited the Inspired To Sew shop? It’s amazing!!
Love the combination of concentrically-colored stars and scrappy ones. Beautiful project!
This quilt is a masterpiece. I made a Lone Star quilt a few years ago and didn't really enjoy it, but maybe I'll try it again someday; this quilt has really inspired me. Never say never!
Same here. I made a large Lone Star quilt from Donna's previous pattern and stressed about the seams matching up. Ugh. It had a dark blue grunge background which made the star pop. I gave it to my brother in Texas and he loved it, so I guess it was worth it.
Holy cow! That is an absolutely gorgeous quilt! You are such a talented quilter! I enjoy your videos very much, and I look forward to them when they come out.❤❤😊
Beautiful and simple. Winner winner.
Absolutely beautiful. You make everything look so easy, but I have to say, this one is way beyond my abilities. I love the sashing and have never thought of doing any sashing like that. It would look beautiful on a lot of projects. You have some great ideas and I love all your quilts. Many thanks for sharing.🥰
If this feels too hard you might like a much simpler version of the star quilt on Missouri Start Quilt website. Jenny was a hoot because she was so happy hers turned out.
@@melindaostergren8115 Many thanks Melinda - I’ll see if I can find it and you never know - I might give it a go😀
I think your quilt is stunning! Thank you and your team for sharing your creativity with us.
You and your quilting are gorgeous as always! I’ve been waiting for your next video, you make it look so simple ❤
The quilt turned out great! Love your tutorials! Thank you!
Donna, thank you for another beautiful project! ❤
Toujours un plaisir de découvrir un nouveau projet de Donna ! Merci pour tout.
Beautiful. Just beautiful.
Absolutely fabulous- I was mesmerized just watching how these beautiful stars came together. The colors are vibrant. Thank you so much for this tutorial and a free pattern. Your time and generosity is .... I’m lost for words ... but thank you most sincerely 🌻
Donna this is incredible. Lovely
I have a Lone Star quilt kit that intimidates me. Your explanation of how to put the pieces right sides together and place on the 45 degree line is so helpful. Thank you. I am going to watch this video and your other Lone Star quilt videos over and over to give myself the confidence to begin mine.
Thank you Donna. What a gorgeous quilt. Love this pattern.
What a beautiful quilt! I’m in awe. And the give always are amazing!!
This is absolutely splendid
Hi Donna, what a beautiful quilt this is. It seems at first a bit intimidating to sew but you explained each step so well that I will make this my next project. Thank you so much !! I really love it ❤
When I moved to Georgia in 2021, I found a Lone Star quilt in a thrift store. I bought it for $20!! It was hand sewn and is my favorite quilt! Now, I want to try making my own! I love your videos and your teaching style, Donna. You are an inspiration!
