I must say this episode just raised the bar! Carrisa has killer skills on doing patterns, sewing and diving into the unknown and still making excellence out of nothing. Melted bee's wax can harden leather right up when making a sheath. It can melt in direct sunlight but it stays in the leather's pores. Be careful to not get it to hot or it will cook the leather. It makes a very hard sheath.
The costumes are looking really good. I liked how your cat was like nope I am going to make this as difficult as possible, and it's awesome that you named him Bossk
Amazing job Carissa. The depth and character in all the fabric and leather is remarkable. I haven’t enjoyed watching leatherwork done like this since a year ago when I came upon Malcom Reynolds holster on ‘Foolfly’ RUclips playlist. My wife is a tailor, so I can appreciate the workmanship that goes into things like this. I was so stressed when you started sewing the leather, because I’ve been the husband who rapidly tries to settle the nerves of a tailor that broke the last needle after Joanne’s closing time

Super cool! I’ve never done leatherworking/made a holster either so it’s quite a relief to find this video while I’ve been humming and ahh-ing over where to start for the last few days 😅
