After years of watching and dreaming, I'm finally drawing up plans to theme my basement bar as a Star Wars Cantina. I'll be rewatching many of your videos in the process! This was another stellar build!
That is so fantastic to hear! Thank you! We are working on several workshops around panel design, room design, etc. So the timing of your project could be perfect!
That's a fun build.
I love the strange dichotomy of "making a bunch of cool looking stuff that looks like it does stuff" and "hiding all the cool looking stuff that actually does stuff."
LOL! Right?? Me too!!
@@TheSmugglersRoom My initial knee-jerk reaction was "Why go through all that trouble? Just expose the wiring." But it took me a few seconds to realize it really wouldn't have fit the aesthetic at all.
Gorgeous build. Your stuff always looks like magic to me. I can watch every second and still miss the transformation moment.
That is sooooo good! You thrive because you always think "BIG". Thanks for the awesome build and keep on going!
Thanks bro! So glad you liked it!
Brian, i don't know the FIRST thing about building anything, but I’ve enjoyed watching your videos for the past few years. I'm a big Star Wars fan though, and love behind-the-scenes stuff. It's also relaxing just listening to your music playing while you're building and making things.
As to the room...is it done yet? How bout now? Are we there yet? 🤣 😅😁.
Thank you so much!
As for the room . . . Probably never done 😂
Holy COW! I'm blown away by how awesome this build is and all the details and seeing how you brought it all come together is incredible!
Glad you liked it!! Thank you for the kind words!
I love the care you take with the greeblies, the way you position them and how everything comes perfectly together when you finish the project. Another great video for sure. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Greetings from Brazil!
Thank you so much
That is sick! I love all the details. Great spot for Chucky.
Thank you so much!!
It may have been a while, but it was absolutely worth it...beautifully designed and artfully executed!
Thank you!
Wonderful addition. Those recesses with the greeblie detailing work particularly well.
Many thanks!
It's all about the details....and you sure know how to detail! Tthe extra time spent on the greeblies, as well as the lighting, paid off! Can't wait to see what's next!
Thank you!!!
I love the use of the Allen Bradley push buttons! I'm gonna start saving the junk ones I replace at work now!
You absolutely should! They are CRAZY expensive to buy new.
OMG!!! An awesome over the moon project for The Smugglers Room and yup, I want one!
Thank you! So glad you liked the project!
Great build! It looks awesome! Looking forward to what's coming! I think it would be cool if you had Chucky be able to rotate so that it's empty...like he got out. You could make the lights change to orange and have warnings on the screen too...
LOL, that would be hilarious
A truly beautiful build. All of the details and greeblification is an art unto itself.
Thank you!!
DUDE!!! Loved this video, Really appreciate going into the shots and showing how you attach certain parts. The French cleat, the wiring on the back and how its organized, paper towels and all the details you added. It honestly helps us noobs out on how too attach things and make our own.
Thanks for the video!! cant wait for the next one!!!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!!
I think the longer shots of you putting parts together were very helpful.
Another great video to take in over my morning coffee! Love the way the whole thing came out. Thanks for sharing the process as always!
Thank you DH! Much appreciated!
Star Wars and Horror! two of my most favorite things!
Right??? Me too!!!
Having watched your old? room build videos its great to see you get back into the groove and start building out again. Take a moment to look back and see how far you have come and how much you have improved. Great job.
Thank you! It does help to see the progression. It's hard to see the forest for the trees on big projects like this for sure.
I love your channel Brian because I have been a Star Wars Geek ever since I saw the movie for the first time back in 1977 when it first came out and now watching your channel and the things you, Carissa, and your Dad The Junkyard Jedi come up with are inspiring and quite creative.
My hat's off to you young man so keep up the good work and continuing to make something out of nothing.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Love it that you’ve gotten back to the room!! I’m excited to see the end result
Thank you! Me too!
Another perfect project, looks really amazing 👏👏👏 And the griebliefication is in another level, congratulations Brian
Thank you very much!
Brian, dude, on these bigger builds. It always amazes me how fast you get things done. And they always look amazing. Keep up the great work you awesome geek. God bless and have a wonderful day.
@@chrisclark4799 thank you so much!

Just had a bit of a thought for your bar area of your room build. If you like wines, meads and ale. I've been watching a couple from Florida who create such things. Their channel is called City Steading Brews. Maybe they can create a Bantha Mead, Ewokian style ginger beer or something of the sort. I mean they've made drinks inspired from things like Skyrim and Star Trek. Like I said it was just a thought. Again, God bless and have a wonderful day.
This is SO AMAZING!!! I really enjoyed watching this along with your greebly video about your thought process on how you came up with those pieces for the panels. The wiring also hits the OCD just right. Fantastic job!
Thanks man. Very much appreciated!
very cool, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Your experience and knowledge of the processes involved in creating at this level really shine with projects like this! Amazing work and result! 👏👏 I think the placement next to the bar is a really fine touch too! What a conversation piece!! 👍
So much appreciated! Thank you! You just made my day!
Greeblied to perfection!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
I really enjoy your videos! you really inspire me to try my hand at building something, out of nothing! Thank you for leading the way.
Thank you so much! That’s the whole idea, so we appreciate it!
oh, darn! Did I miss a juice lid being used?😂 Great work, sir. Thanks for sharing
LOL, nope, we have a couple of them in there ;)
Fabulous work.
Can't wait for the next one. . .
More to come! Thank you!
Yay! Another room build video!
This was an another great video Brian! Thank you!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it!
Lol, with chucky at eye level. You and everyone visiting. Will think his eyes are following you around the room.
Absolutely!!
What an clean and awesome build.
Thank you so much!
I love your creativity, you've inspired me to do my basement mancave in starwars
That's so fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
This looks soooo good! Love all the paneling and greeblies!
Thanks so much! 😊
Unbelievable! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
Awesome build as always can't wait to see what's next
Thank you!
Always enjoy your videos, came out amazing. 👍😎
Thanks so much!
wow this is one amazing project and very cool greeblies and I love this video !
Thanks so much!
Incredible build!!!
Thank you!!
Great job! The glow effects are awesome!
So glad you like it!
Fantastic video love everything about it. Great location for that panel.
Thank you Dennis!
Mate , that is awesome!
Thank you!
This has to feel like a mic drop build for you guys. So many different skills and techniques on display here. It’s extraordinary. Congrats!
LOL. It felt good to get this one built for sure. Thank you!
another amazing project
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Seriously impressive. 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you kindly
This dudes got Chucky spot on!
But make sure you put a real life Jabba the hut down there to stop anyone from un-carbonising it!
Thank you!! Not sure if there is enough room for a Jabba but I do need some sort of security. LOL
That looks great! I wish I had the wall space to do something like that.
Thank you! I have seen folks do small version of projects in all types of places, even in a small closet. You just have to be creative with small spaces but you can do it!
Your channel is my go-to as I plan my room. Planning on a SW inspired brewing space/gameroom and workshop. Working out the space planning and theming now. Laser build is the first order “pun intended” of business.
Outstanding! Sounds like a great room project!
Wow, you pulled out all the stops on this one. Fantastic build. No Bounty Hunter is breaking Chucky out any time soon!
Thanks man! Glad you got to see it in person!
Another beautiful build!!!
Thank you Jason!
Subscriber from the Philippines , love the video ! Great job on the wiring 👍
Thank you!!
Loved the build, some day I will finally get around to making something 🙂
When you were cutting the holes in the MDF it looked like a bit of a struggle with the hand saw, if you haven't tried one get a Japanese Pull Saw, they are a game changer.
Yes, a Japanese Pull Saw is 100% on my list to purchase. I'm surprised I have not purchased one yet!
Another fantastic video. You got me thinking now of how to layer my projects, but in the recessed direction (something that I've not tried before). - Scott
Thanks Scott! The layered effect is one of my favorites for sure!
Looks awesome bro. Great job and great video 😊
Thank you my friend!
Yes another video 🙌
finally right? LOL
Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
That is beyond awesome, a wonderful build. Thank you so much for sharing this )O(
Glad you like it! Thank you !
Incredible!!!
👏😎👏
Thank you!
You Two are my HEROES!!! Great work! Stay Strong, and May the Force Be with You!
Thank you!
great build
Thank you!
Star Wars Galaxy Edge will definitely hire you for future park facilities 🙂👏👏👍
wouldn't that be fun!
Awesome work 🎉 !
Thank you! Cheers!
Holy FRACK Brian!!!! Figured since you were mixing IPs, I'd throw in some Battlestar. This is absolutely amazing. You are a true greeblie and panelization wizard my friend!!!
It's one of his strengths for sure
LOL! Thank you . . . So say we all!
much appreciated.
Love this keep going love your energy
Thank you! Will do!
Hay loved the episode, this project is actually already one of my favorite ones I seen you do. Wow! It was worth the wait, the extra time you sent on it shows...My biggest problem is when I'm working on my projects what I thank may take a couple of weeks to complete ends up thanking more than a few months 😳( I do make all of my projects from scratch) then I end up setting the project aside for months or years because I gotten burned out . Then I finally jump back into it, only then I realize how close I was in finishing it in the first place😢 it drives my wife crazy
You are totally not alone. There are so many projects that I have started through the years that get stalled for this reason. The reality is, sometimes these projects get too big, or go on too long, and then burnout sets in. So taking a break is actually a great thing. I think half of the time the reason coming back to a project and having it finish so quickly is because you gave your mind time to rest and removed from the project. That time away totally helps finish when you come back to it.
Awesome!
Thanks!
Build is awesome - I'd be very daunted by all that wiring though - I've got a real blindspot for electrical stuff.
We are planning to provide some content around wiring. Hopefully we can help with that. it can be overwhelming for sure.
On top of your content being great you have great beats to go with.
Appreciate that! So glad you enjoy the music as well as the build!
very cool
Thanks man!
Now all you need is a Princess Leia Tiffany Doll in her bounty hunter gear.
right???
This is a great build and you should be proud of it, but I foresee trouble when Jennifer Tilly shows up disguised as Boushh.
I'm keeping my eye out for her . . . you can be sure of that! LOL
Incredible build. I loved the original chucky build and the video itself in story format. But to take the prop build to a new level is even cooler. Great job Brian
Thank you Garland! Really appreciate it!
Incredible
Thank you
@@TheSmugglersRoom You're a massive inspiration. I got a Death Star room set up and looking cool, gonna be using your videos (and shop) to bring it to the next level
great video
Thank you!
To facilitate troubleshooting I use Wago Lever connectors. But I like barrier strips to.
Yep! Love the Wago product. The terminal blocks just make this type of application so much cleaner.
@@TheSmugglersRoom Ubetcha
You should buy a Tiffany figure, dress it as Boushh and place it beside Chucky 🤣
LOL! That would be awesome
The video was well worth the wait! I love the final results. Chucky makes such a cool addition to the room. That LCD and all the LED really sets it apart. You two really keep leveling up your worth with each video. I'm really getting the itch to start something like this once I have the right space. Great tip to write down paint colors on each project, that definitely could save some headache between long gaps in a project (which I usually have too).
Any plans to fill the small gap and visible wall between Chucky and the Nostramo door w/ another small panel project or more pads?
Thank you very much for the feedback. Really appreciate it and glad it is getting you excited to start up a build. Between Chucky and the door we definitely have a plan. I'm hoping to do that sooner rather than later. If all goes well I should be able to start that this weekend!
Peep the GameyBuilds shirt!! 3:53 And a very cool build of course
LOL! Totally! Love me some GameyBuilds!
Brian! The screen? Where, what, how? I need these in my arsenal immediately! :)
LOL!!! Here is a link to the screen: amzn.to/3LfBh85
It has an HDMI connection so you can run pretty much whatever you would like to on it.
@@TheSmugglersRoom Thanks Brian, already ordered a couple with some Pi Zeros to run them! Awesome work!
Damn dude!!!
@@joe_black84 lol, hope that’s a good thing
@@TheSmugglersRoom it is. I’m amazed!
Do you think you could make your own bd unit droid of your own design? Because I would love to see that.
That would be fun!
This is great! Did you decide not to use the coffee maker piece, or am I looking in the wrong place for it? I thought it was in the top center, directly above Chucky.
Thanks! No, we didn't totally abandon it. It's not in the end of this video, but that is because I am working out a ceiling detail that will be installed above this section and I will add those back in when I get that built.
Great video. I'd love to one day make an ultra-realistic star wars room myself.
By the way, what do you think of animatronic, is it that difficult to make?
With technology and AI becoming more and more emergent in our society, it wouldn't shock me if before long Disney created real star wars robots with artificial intelligence, which is logically (I think?) superior to animatronic.
I love the idea of animatronic. We've talked a lot about some ideas we could add to the room.
Great job, lets hope nobody releases Chucky again 🙂
You and me both!
I'd love to know more about the wiring on this. Arduino's aren't meant to output a bunch of current directly and I'm curious what's powered by the regular power supply and what is powered by the Arduino and why? Very cool build. Did I miss the link to the circuit building software?
We've gotten a lot of questions about the LED's and I will be working out a video to describe it all. The software turned out to be a paid software, so I did not include it. It's called Smart Draw if you want to look into it.
@14:15 "my friend Martine" - Nerdforge Martine?
no, Martin from The Dune Sea Outpost. But Martine from Nerforge is a huge inspiration for us.
Hey Brian, any links for the 12v LEDs, bus bars, and other electronics? Just asking...
Hey there, sorry, i should have included those. Here they are:
Terminal Blocks: amzn.to/3LlQ7Kd
LED's 12v prewired: amzn.to/4czUX2j
The rest should be listed in the description. Thanks!
@@TheSmugglersRoom Brain, thank you... hate to be a nag... you forgot to list the free software for the wiring diagram stuff too. Sorry.....
@@msamyweber I actually left that off on purpose. At the time we recored that I thought the software was free, but it actually has a monthly subscription. It was only the first 30 days that are free. It's called Smart Draw if you still want to check it out. www.smartdraw.com
@@TheSmugglersRoom Brain... again, so sorry for being such a nag. Just everything you all do is so cool and awesome. I wish I had the room to collect the grebblies (sorry spelling sucks) like you do. I am home-bound disabled veteran, I rent therefore I cannot room build. I 3d print and paint. Yet, you and your wife give such inspiration to add things to the prints, lights, mini dioramas for the prints, you see where this going. I dont sell, I gift or donate, store them when and where I find the room. And watching your videos, just a relaxing, no pressure approach to doing things... just have fun, so rare anymore. Again, thank you to you and your wife for your channel and what you do and give to all of us.

Is there a video or more details about the LCD that you used and how that gets setup????? That would be something that would be very interesting to me. Also... does each of the panel in your room have a separate power supply and how do you go about planning that so that you don't have to setup 9,000 powerstrips that you have to turn on everytime your in the room???? Seriously.... I could ask questions for days!!!!!
I used Adobe After Effects to setup the video that runs on the LCD. I think after all i have seen in the comments today I need to do a video on how to create the HUD effects asap! So I will get that on the list as soon as I can. Then I can go through all the steps on the LCD and how it is setup for you guys.
As for the power, that is a great question. I think I need to address that in a video too. Now that I have multiple systems setup, i can run through the process of how that's done. I'll get that cooking here soon as well. Thanks!
I'm looking for the links mentioned in the video regarding the LCD video display! That thing is wicked. I can't seem to find them.
Sorry about that. The LCD is this one: amzn.to/3VXvR6s
As far as the software, I used Adobe After Effects with a few plugins to create it. Maybe I need to do a tutorial on how to create one huh?
Where is the video about the custom screen display? I would love to use these in my office rebuild.

@@TheSmugglersRoom I love your channel. I'm a PM for LDOE but I was building circuit boards for my dad at 12. I started programming around the same time and I've been a graphic artist for almost as long. My wife gave me the green light to redo my office, but I'm going to hold off till next year. Your channel and this community have been such an inspiration.
THANK YOU!
Maybe you should make a fail safe just incase chucky gets out like remove the deactivation button.
Probably
you should display kathleen kennedy in carbinite, lol
This was an awesome build. So many different mediums. I recently picked up a laser cutter and I'm dying to start building my own sci-fi. Can you please tell me what program you use to design your panels?
Thank you! So glad you liked it.
I primarily use Adobe Illustrator for the design. However if you want a free option Inkscape totally works!
Also, if you picked up a laser cutter and you use Lightburn with it, that software could also be used to create the files.
@@TheSmugglersRoom Thanks for the info. You guys are a great inspiration! I've made a few panels with xps and recycled junk and it's time to step it up a notch. I'd like to show you but don't know how to send pics. I'm gen X and a little slow on the tech side. Lol
Had a thought, what if a smuggler had learned new skills making the character more reliable and dependable, there would be newer or new parts that have replaced worn out ones as a sign of newfound success. An idea for new looking parts on the lived in Star Wars galaxy. Yay, nay? Maybe I should stop reading the book series Legacy Of The Force (LOL! yeah not happening). It's an older book series but it has a fun look at the main characters of the after original Star Wars trilogy. More of a Lukas feel.
🤔 interesting
Definitely a cool addition. I'm interested in where you got the machine indicator light switches (shown at 3:48) because I would like to try and get some of them myself.
As a side note, did you decide to actually call those components for "Chucky" the Electromagnetic Field Stabilizers? Or did you go with something else?
Those Allen switches came in a box of junk I ordered from Ebay believe it or not. They were all non functional and damaged in some way. The crazy thing is, they are VERY expensive to purchase working. But they are incredibly cool looking.
The top components are still going to be installed, just at a later time. I have something great planned for the top portion. Coming soon!
@@TheSmugglersRoom Cool, can't wait to see it.
As for the Allen switch I don't mind if they don't work because I can light them with LED's like you did
Great build. What is that wiring program for diagrams? Didn’t see it in description.
Sorry, i totally forgot to put that in the description. It's called Smartdraw. I thought it had a free version, but that only lasts 30 days sadly. I probably wont use it again due to it being another paid subscription that I don't know i'll use that often. But if you want to check it out here is the link: www.smartdraw.com/
Question? On the paneling that you glued the paper towel too. How strong is it? Would I have to strategically place it to keep from bumping it? To keep from any damage.
Great question. It is pretty durable. When the modpodge cures it is pretty hard. It almost creates a "shell" that holds up really well. You can also add multiple layers of the glue to build up strength. I did that on several projects that needed extra protection. You just add a layer, let it fully cure, then add another, and so on. Works great!
Thanks Bryan!
12:08 What software was this? I did not see a link in your list of items used.
