I'm around their age and I agree. Raised old-school and completely agree with Sebastian. I don't know what my generation and younger generations did to kids, but it's not looking good. 😒

I grew up in a German-Irish Catholic family in Canada. When my parents had company, we greeted their guests with Mr or Mrs, took their coats and my dad had us serving them hors d'oeuvre. He’d be sending us out with trays of cheese and summer sausage. 😀
After 30 minutes of serving Mom and Dad would say thank you, now it’s time for bed. That’s how we learned to behave respectfully.

I don't believe Pete has ever been in the basement, I think he was in an upstairs extra room. Either way...loving his background & his whole set up...Sebastian on the other hand I think could use a do over... but love them both regardless of their set.

A note to the producer(s) : I've been following this Great podcast for a long time, Since this new set up, I find that the sound of the vocals, Pete'"s and Seb's, are little sounding harsh in the high end, and Pete has too much room sound too (echo). Still listening and still love ya bros!!

My son went to an alternative school, where classrooms were less formal, and he called the teachers by their first name, and although I had no problem with it, I did have a problem with the fact that, although my son was always looking his best for school, many of his classmates looked like they'd just gotten out of bed, they had that "bed head" hair knot in the back of their head, where you knew the parents hadn't even bothered to comb their kid's hair. I believe we should teach our kids to behave like civilized humans, looking their best, and ready to tackle the world. 🤩💪😀

I love these guys so much! I am a Jersey girl....and there is something I just Love about East Coast Italian men!! Pete reminds me of most east coast Italian men. They take pride in they way they dress and look and have very old school values. I just love it. I wish more men were like that. Not to mention the accent!! Oh boy it just gets me every time!!

I LOVE both of your parenting styles. I am the same! I have 3 nieces under 9 and my brother and sister-in-law are the most passive parents. It's embarrassing and the kids are suffering from learning that their parents are push overs! Love you both! Keep up the great work on the cast!
1) I had promised myself I wasn't going to comment, because I always write something inappropriate, then regret it and delete it. But Sebastian, I swear, is my long lost "emotionally damaged" twin. I too go into my "world", lol. It's shocking to me that Lana still hasn't been able to figure him out...geez. He wants to be an involved dad, but maybe the Farmer's market is a solo trip for her with the kids, so she can do her socializing and he's not subjected to that nonsense. I see nothing wrong with that face Sebastian made, lol. I would have had the face and would have said something to the kid and the parents about the kid. Ended up blacklisted from the Market, school events, all of it. Ugh. 2) PETE: I seriously think you need to set up YOUR space the way you want it. Period. And PS. You are an AMAZING dad!

Grew up in Chicago. We were either raking leaves or shoveling snow. Huge chore list everyday. Dishes every other night.
I didn't have a childhood. I had a workhood. EVERY day chores in the house. Including dishes. Every weekend major yard work. I detest today's lazy generation and zero work ethics.

Pete, I was honestly surprised when you mentioned half way through the podcast that you felt off and are still trying to get comfortable with your new set up. I never saw it that way at all. Maybe you can identify the things that don't feel right and tweek them so they do. It was still a great podcast!

Another exceptional cast guys, I base my review on how many times I laughed. Lol. About that woman who you are thinking about banning from the cast (and I hope it's not me, I've said negative stuff here and there too) let's talk about this. If you cancel her you're no better than the cancel culture cancelling someone who doesn't agree with them. Develop a thick skin and just keep being you. If she continues to watch despite the fact that she may be offended it's her choice to suffer. Don't let it affect you because it has more to do with her than you anyway. I mean I'm only guessing about all of this so you can tell me to shut up. And PS....I hate small talk too and Sebastian I don't think you were wrong in your feelings, always be true to who you are. As you get older you will be able to set your boundaries because you don't need their approval. Just always be kind. Sorry to go on and on, I have a tendency to make a short story long. Hahahaha

I am JUST LIKE Sebastian when I’m around other people and ESPECIALLY their kids. The truth is Sebastian is most likely 100% right about his impression of the kid and family. Most are aloof and not parenting their children. It drives me INSANE! You’re Right! Don’t apologize for wanting people to have respect and discipline their kids appropriately. My kids would know the rules and the way they are to behave before we leave the house to go to the Farmers market. I praise your style guy!
I think having Sebastian laid back and Pete in the chair with his hands on the table looks more like he is interviewing Sebastian. Maybe change the chair set up? We see all of Sebastian and he is able to move, but Pete is more still…maybe that is it? But you’re still awesome Pete!

I live in an ocean beach town, and one of the beaches has some serious undertow at times, and I've encountered some tourist parents letting their wee ones hang out alone on the shore, while they watch numerous feet away. I will always warn those loving but oh so ignorant parents, to be sure to stand right next to their kids, and although they always thank me for my advice, it is mind-boggling to me how they couldn't think about it beforehand.
