Comedians are highly sensitive and are prone to depression! Sebastian, you’re raising a family, touring, making movies. Don’t discourage yourself! We love you! ❤
Thank you for making me laugh for the first time since I lost my husband of 40 years. Never underestimate the positive impact you have on those of us who really need it! Hugs!
Sabastian is one of the funniest comedians and he comes across as a genuinely good-hearted man. It’s so nice to see someone so successful who is still grounded and stays true to who he is. Great interview!
I agree. But maybe because I grew up in Chicago so I may be a bit biased. But I do find it very disheartening and at times infuriating when people who call themselves fans leave nasty and very critical comments on The Pete and Sebastian podcast channel specifically towards Sebastian. It looks as though most love Pete Corealle and can't say enough good things about him. But they constantly bash Sebastian. So I often end up giving those trolls a piece of my mind. I feel like they just don't understand where he's coming from and they just have a very negative perspective of him. So my protective side comes out. Probably because I've often been misjudged and attacked unfairly too but no one ever stood up for me.
I hope these guys become friends in real life because they both have hearts of gold. I can see love in Sebastian's eyes when Lewis shares more about himself...
You are always funny! U have helped me so much,, I’ve lol please know, you are incredible. When I start going down,I watch you..please know how funny you really are! Always you pull me up and make me laugh.
Saw Sebastian in Atlanta a couple of years ago. He walked by, and I said, "Here you are!" He answered, "How're you doin'?" Personable guy! Great show! So nice to hear from him in this way! Hope to see his show on tour again! ❤🌟
Thank you, Sebastian . You are hilarious. I’ve loved watching you for years: your physical comedy, the subway sandwich routine, going on a first date, hiding from a visitor coming to your house in the old days, digging through merchandise at TJ MAXX🤣… I really appreciated your vulnerability and honesty in this podcast - so likable and relatable. Thank you. Best of luck to you and your family.
What beautiful vulnerability. I just cried with him and I could see the emotion in Lewis’ face, too. What a blessing. What a lovely human being ❤I know he just made his mom cry, too.
I met Sebastian in 2009 in Hollywood, CA at the Laugh Factory. He had me laughing until I couldn't breath. At the end of the show, I shook his hand and told him that he was super funny. I also told him that he was going places. Look at where he is today. I'm so happy for what he's done and am excited to see him more.
I've loved Sebastian for years. Not only the funniest comedian, but so down to earth and real. Made me cry when he talked about his mom, and made me laugh when he talked about the constant need to post everything and zero privacy. I miss those days!
When I recently found Sebastian comedy, I laughed so hard I cried, and I posted clips of his comedy on my Facebook page one after the other so I could show my family and friends!
Sebastian there is a statistic that proves , in regards to what kids take away from their growing up years, that 10% is taught and 90% is CAUGHT. It’s profound. Just be the hard working loving PRESENT parent and husband you are. The fact that you are hyper thinking everything, proves that you are doing the right things or the most important things right I should say. Peace to you.
Mental health is such an important topic. Taking care of your mental well-being is just as crucial as looking after your physical health. It involves managing stress, practicing self-care, seeking support when needed, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
I find Sebastian to be a talented comedian and a good hearted person. That's part of the appeal! His success is well deserved and earned the old fashioned way....hard work!
Whenever I feel depressed whenever I am crying for no reason I put on Netflix and listen to Sebastian and suddenly my tears are now laughs I love him he does so much for my broken heart
That was one of the best interviews I've ever seen. Both of you were so open & real. And, as you mentioned, I love that Sebastian didn't feel the need to show his comedic side throughout the interview. It helps us, as an audience, to see the real person behind the comedian, as well as people who suffer with things like anxiety, self esteem & over thinking to share a sort of trauma bond with people we respect from afar that we may not have ever had a chance to without your platform. Thank you!
Wow. The intelligence, the depth of mind of both of these great men. Louis asking bold, to-the-bone questions; Maniscalco spilling, unwittingly, diamonds- pieces of his heart. Amazing. Bravi.
Only a kind, open hearted and down to earth guy like Lewis can let people open up this way. I love Sebastian and it’s so refreshing to get to know him better thanks to this excellent episode ❤
Sebastian is so relatable…he makes me laugh just thinking about his shows. I think the fact that he planned and his saved up for it. Still, that is just funny to me. Compared to others. He will always have his crowd. ALWAYS.
Thank you so much for this interview! I’ve loved Sebastian’s comedy from the very beginning, so to hear him speak from his heart like this is wonderful.
I think Sebastian is honest and upfront in telling his feelings……He’s not full of himself, but down to earth and knows where he came from and where he hopes to go….Love the Pete and Sebastian show,,,,,,,They work great together,,,,,Pete is the perfect partner! Their wives are their grounding, 🙏🏽❤️
This was really sweet and powerful. Love Sebastian’s comedy, but it was also great to peek behind the curtain to see his more vulnerable, tender side. And what a great job by Lewis of “coaching” him in a loving, supportive way, especially towards the end. Beautiful display of nurturing masculinity (not the stereotypical toxic masculinity we see too often in our culture)!
"He's doing another one??"🤣🤣 This was one of my favorite episodes!! Sebastians realness is so refreshing and Lewis pushing things with coaching in an optimistic way... brilliant show.
I am so happy to have found the Lewis Howes channel. He's so thoughtful, insightful & vulnerable with all his guests. I have learned much from his shows and really enjoyed this particular talk with Sebastian.
I appreciate his authenticity, down to earth and charming nature. He slides in that comedic side too😂 OMG, I relate to the 15 minutes delayed doctor’s appointment😂. Interesting interview 👍🏾
I never miss Pete & Sebastian. They are both brilliant comedians as well as devoted husbands and fathers which makes me love them all the more. Get Pete on.
My Italian husband and I just found Sebastian on tv and fell in instant love with him and his family and his stories. His imitation of his father's expressions and movements are phenomenal. My hubby grew up with Italians in his family and hometown, and I grew up in a nearby town with lots of Italians. Sebastian is so truthful and sensitive.
Sebastian, I understand your anxiety, AND judging purely by your results, you are a responsible, resilient & talented man I admire. Keep learning, living & entertaining the world however you do it. ❤
Just when I thought I couldn't love this man more. Thank you so much for your vulnerability, and for always bringing the FEELINGS. The voice - oy, Keep up the great work. You are loved
My father was a very successful man but he told me that he had imposture syndrome.I suffered from panic attacks for 8 years until I took a psychiatric course that taught me about self talk and it changed my life. What you do is speak the truth to your inner child. You counter those negative thoughts and 14 days into the practise the thoughts went to sleep. This man is so gifted and I thank him for talking because so many people need his honesty.
I would like the name of that course, if you will please. My son has major anxieties and fears and he panics at times. I so wish to help him. Any assistance is welcome. Thx.
❤love/laugh on your mom while you can. My mom passed last December and I miss her and I wish I had valued her moments with me more. We always think we have more time. Love Sebastian's perspective. My husband is from Italy and I can so relate and understand . Live your life for you❤. There was life before social lense
I use my humor, and making people laugh to cover up my pain. Making others laugh gets me through my chaos. I'm so used to being in survival mode, I don't know true peace, and breathing .
Sebastian makes me laugh out loud like no one else. His special at Radio City - his impression of his grandmother walking from the fridge to the table had me on the floor. Thanks for doing what you do and thanks, Lewis, for this outstanding interview that sheds light on the process with both its challenges and highlights. I'm a stand-up and I'm learning so much here!
Coming from the exact Sicilian family I can understand and relate and that’s what makes him so funny to me. If you know you know!! Excellent interview.
Sebastian, My 80 year old mom told me about you. She really loved your humor. I found you on (I think) Amazon. I grew up in NJ with many Italian families and I love the culture and tight knit family values and, of course, the food. You are so talented. Some comedians just aren't that funny whether it be the writing or comedic talent and timing but you are hugely talented and so hilarious. I'm glad you kept going. We all get the benefit of your shows and making us laugh and feel good. Thank you.😊😊😊
I love seeing Lewis and Sebastian talk. Lewis is SUCH an uplifter. What a heart. And it's great to see him challenge Sebastian on some of his self-deprecation. Hey I get it, he's humble, and sometimes being from an immigrant family can do that to you, but I think Sebastian needs to give himself a little grace.
His podcast with Pete Correale is probably my favorite podcast. They are absolutely hilarious together, and genuinely enjoy each other. It’s at least as entertaining as their standup ( which is also some of the best out there). Just love em. This is the first time I’ve seen this cast as well and really think Lewis is better than most. Genuine, likeable, insightful questions. I feel like I’m learning some things that relate to all of us. Really top rate!
Im a long time fan of Sebastian's comedy and cast, and just want to say how much I appreciate him always being vulnerable and expressing himself. That was a beautiful moment he shared about how he feels about his mom, and a great reminder to not take the people we love for granted.
My favorite thing about Sebastian is how he smiles when he speaks about his father. He never brings up his Dad without that smile that reaches all the way to his eyes! Priceless.
Firstly, I feel truly blessed to have heard and received this message from Lewis and Sebastian Lewis for sharing his wisdom and Sebastian for receiving it with humility. Sebastian is my favorite comedian and The School of Greatness is my favorite Show. What more could I ask for!😀 Thank you and everyone that made this genuine conversation possible!
Sebastian, you are so talented and truly funny! You deserve what you have, so don't feel bad about enjoying it. Sounds like you are doing a good job with your kids, and staying grounded. Keep it up.❤
You did a great job Lewis. Have seen many interviews with Sebastian and this is the first time I’ve seen him get emotional. I really enjoyed seeing his vulnerable side. ☺️
I didn't realise that the movie About My Father with De Niro is based on his life until listening to this interview. What a beautiful way of honouring his father
Love Sebastian. I swear we had the same Italian father. I watch his specials over and over. He’s one of the greats like Bill Burr, Tom Segura, and Dave Chappelle. Never missed the Pete and Sebastian show. I love Pete too. He’s a great guy.
@1:15 …. I teared up too. Italian upbringing is all about family and togetherness, but anything you do in life that involves following your passion whatever it may be doesn’t come without sacrifice and as you get older and your parents get older sometimes you wonder if it was all worth it. Missing birthdays, Christmas, Mother’s Day, just poppin over the house, seeing a relative at Wegmans grocery store, bringin ur car down the street to have your great uncle check it out or just as simple as Sunday Sauce doing nothing but watching football all day hangin round the house. The little things. 😢
I love both these guys. I’ve seen Sebastian on stage and he’s very funny but I also love how deep he is and what’s in his head besides comedy. Lewis, one of the top 5 podcasters I listen to. He has really come into his power. Love love it ❤
You’re my favorite comedian. Speaking your mind and what’s in the head of millions of people. I’ve seen you live and I’m in tears of how much I’m laughing. The best !!
I so enjoyed this cast with Sebastian getting to see a side of him I don't see otherwise. I loved his openness and authenticity as well as Lewis's, It was pure joy to listen to. I can these two guys being friends, very good friends. Sebastian is so relatable, not only in this cast but in his comedy and in his podcast with Pete. So many comedians are phony hiding themselves in their comedy but Sebastian is different, he's somehow vulnerable. I believe that is why he is so successful. Humanity relates to humanity.
What an extra treat this week seeing Sebastian on a podcast being interviewed! Already watch the Pete and Sebastian show and a big fan of both. Loved this podcast, and thank you for asking great questions. Please interview Pete Correale next. Just subscribed 👏🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Wow. It was really beautiful to listen to him. Talk about his love for his mom. Calling her, “Gold”. Really sweet to see this super funny man get so emotional about his family/parents and mom and show his vulnerable side. Great interview. 😊❤
"YES" It was so interesting for me to see this other side of him. Such a great guy; great interview. Plus, I share his lack of understanding on why so many people no longer value privacy.
Keep being real and vulnerable, Sabastian. My parents divorced after 42 years of marriage a few years ago. I get his emotion. It's a complete shock - never saw it coming.
Love Sebastian but probably for different reasons then many. I've been able to talk to him and my son for about thirty minutes a few years back. I'm an italian girl with a typical Italian father like Sebastian's. I've never felt like my dad really liked me but after seeing Sebastian live and a great conversation with him after my dad passed away unexpectedly (and a LOT of regret and very confused) Sebastian helped me completely unwind fifty years of my life. Now I'm a VERY PROUD Italian daughter of my father! I'm also going to see Sebastian next Thursday!! Thank you Sebastian for everything🇮🇹
This has to be my favourite interviews you have done so far. Sebastian is the real deal & he is so humble enough to engage with your suggestions. It felt like watching 2 old friends chat. Brilliant! I’m in awe of you both 🙏
I think it makes you humble When you think about tomorrow and not assuming you are immortal ...it makes us recognize the need to continue to search internally and do our best ...just do what you do for as long as you can.and still love it..tomorrow is never guaranteed to anyone
My husband told me to watch one of his shows and I was just CRYING with laughter the whole time. You dont realize how much you needed to laugh until you really, really laugh. Thank you for the laughter and thank you both for this fine interview
Just saw him live for the very first time in Atlanta with my husband and our cheeks hurt after the show. The month prior introduced my 87 year old mother to his Netflix stand up. She howled with laughter. He’s so talented and I appreciate his old school edge and how he’s not afraid to say what many of us are thinking!
Sebastian, You're not arrogant, that's why being so funny keeps you being so successful!! Having a great family foundation growing up and then marrying well, keeps you humble! I'm a huge fan, as are so many of the working class of " no nonsense" people! We'll always be here to support your career! Relax and keep creating the funny for us, because we surely need the laughs😂👏 THANK-YOU!!
WE NEED TO LAUGH IN LIFE U BRING JOY N SMILES TO PEOPLES FACES BECAUSE U R FUNNY KEEP IT COMING 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗👏👏👏👏👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟loveys here in NY❤🇮🇹🇮🇹😍😍HERES TO SEBASTIAN🥂🥂🤗🤗🤗🤗

It’s great to see someone at Sebastian’s level to be so down to earth and vulnerable and honest. This is why I’m a fan .
He is a genuine guy! Humble and cute and sensitive!
Exactly. He has humility.
I have so much respect for Sebastian. His comedy, his character and his authenticity all are top notch.
Beautifully said, Carmen! ❤️
This interview reveals Sebastian Maniscalco as not just a man who really helps to make so many people laugh, but has a great, gentle heart.
Thank you for making me laugh for the first time since I lost my husband of 40 years. Never underestimate the positive impact you have on those of us who really need it! Hugs!

Yes, cuz his comedy is pretty clean and he is relatable.
Sebastian is awesome comedian, he always make me laugh, he is real
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
Lewis I Saw him back in 2015
Dinner and show in NJ , he was great ! He’s still the best out there right now
He is definitely one of my faves. Check out Ali siddiq as well. Another great one
I just saw him 2 days ago at the United Center. I laughed so hard, I almost fainted. 😂🤣
He's so relatable; that's what makes him amazingly funny.

Wow. The intelligence, the depth of mind of both of these great men. Louis asking bold, to-the-bone questions; Maniscalco spilling, unwittingly, diamonds- pieces of his heart. Amazing. Bravi.

I love that the two of you met. Lewis is such a great hearted guy, I'm sure Sebastian was like "I love this guy"
I feel like this is /and or can be a wonderful friendship. It’s a neat thing to see two people, really connect and isn’t always that common.
Thank you so much for this interview! I’ve loved Sebastian’s comedy from the very beginning, so to hear him speak from his heart like this is wonderful.

Thank-you. The part about his mom. My ❤️ heart.
❤ the idea that Lewis gave Sebastian to take a minute during his shows to remind people to participate in charitable acts (spread joy)
Brought me to tears when he said he loved making his mom laugh
Lines from his shows have become part of our household vernacular
Sebastian is the best comedian.
Sebastian, you're the funniest comedian. I watch you all the time. Wish your 2024 standups were on Netflix. Thank you for all the joys and laughter.

You did a great job Lewis. Have seen many interviews with Sebastian and this is the first time I’ve seen him get emotional. I really enjoyed seeing his vulnerable side. ☺️
Glad you enjoyed it
Sebastian strikes me as an authentic type, one of the reasons i like this guy

What a beautiful way of honouring his father
Thank you for watching🧡

So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
He’s the best comedian and actor. Love his work. He also chose a wonderful woman to be in his life. Smart guy. 😊
TWO OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE TOGETHER ❤❤LOVE THIS SHOW ❤
🧡
Lewis, I love how you are totally with the person you are with ❤🎉
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
Deep stuff. Never seen Sebastian so natural as in this interview. As a Chicago boy and Italian myself, I'm proud of Sebastian.
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
Fantastic interview and interviewer 😊 thank you 😊
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you liked it!
Wow. It was really beautiful to listen to him. Talk about his love for his mom. Calling her, “Gold”. Really sweet to see this super funny man get so emotional about his family/parents and mom and show his vulnerable side. Great interview. 😊❤
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
@@lewishowes you’re a great interviewer! New subscriber. Thanks! 👍💜
Welcome to the community!!!
"YES" It was so interesting for me to see this other side of him. Such a great guy; great interview. Plus, I share his lack of understanding on why so many people no longer value privacy.
I met Sebastian many years ago at the Hollywood Improv and he was so funny and down to earth. Would love to go see him again
🧡
EPIC! Sebastian is my favorite comedian
This has to be my favourite interviews you have done so far. Sebastian is the real deal & he is so humble enough to engage with your suggestions. It felt like watching 2 old friends chat. Brilliant! I’m in awe of you both 🙏
Thank you so much for your feedback 🙂
I think it makes you humble When you think about tomorrow and not assuming you are immortal ...it makes us recognize the need to continue to search internally and do our best ...just do what you do for as long as you can.and still love it..tomorrow is never guaranteed to anyone
My husband told me to watch one of his shows and I was just CRYING with laughter the whole time. You dont realize how much you needed to laugh until you really, really laugh. Thank you for the laughter and thank you both for this fine interview
You're welcome,thank you for tuning in 🧡
Just saw him live for the very first time in Atlanta with my husband and our cheeks hurt after the show. The month prior introduced my 87 year old mother to his Netflix stand up. She howled with laughter. He’s so talented and I appreciate his old school edge and how he’s not afraid to say what many of us are thinking!
Sebastian is my #1. He is unique.
His memories about answering the door in his childhood is much more than a comedy, it is a great little short story, equal to American masters.
Sebastian,
You're not arrogant, that's why being so funny keeps you being so successful!!
Having a great family foundation growing up and then marrying well, keeps you humble!
I'm a huge fan, as are so many of the working class of " no nonsense" people!
We'll always be here to support your career! Relax and keep creating the funny for us, because we surely need the laughs😂👏
THANK-YOU!!
Great interview. Love Sebastian and how honest he seems here.
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you liked it!
