#podcast - Приколы
I worked at an Improv comedy club for several years about 10 or 12 years ago. Of all the comedians that performed there that I had no knowledge of before they showed up, Sebastian Maniscalco was hands down my favorite. This was around the time when he was doing his Whats Wrong With People material. Which I think was his best show. I remember the first 2 nights he was there performing, I had the hardest time doing my duties, because I kept pausing to watch Sebastian just straight up killing it. I worked Friday and Saturday, and had Sunday off, at which time I got as many friends and family as I could to go see him for his Sunday show. And a few years later, after I had left the Improv, Sebastian came there again, and I once again got as many friends and family that I could to go see him again. Man he was good. I got to talk to him some when I was working at the Improv. A really nice personable guy to talk to.
I'm happy as fuck that Neal has a podcast
Neal is grossly underrated. But is truly a genuine soul. Love how considerate and thoughtful everything he says is. “Oh by the way” “meaning…” are my fav Brennanisms
Absolutely. Underrated as a comedian and a thoughtful decent human being.
@@muzic5553 It's not gross. It's accurate. Neal has openly talked about this on a few podcasts. We all love Neal and that's why we are here listening to him. He has a very honest approach to things, which is reflective of him as a person and a comedian. No back handed compliments here.
Given his amount of pure talent and how he weaves cultural insight (with humor) into very serious topics...one would assume it to be a fair critique that the he's underrated.
@@johnyoung6680 well said, John.
Very good podcast really injoy it. Neil is the man.
This is an instant classic for me. Two very 'no nonsense' people🌷🎶🌈💐
I’ve been performing to some degree my entire life and I cannot possibly relate to Sebastian more when he says he just wants to show up, do his thing, and go home. So nice to hear such a successful performer express the same desire. Makes me feel less insane.
Thanks for this podcast, Neal. It’s excellent.
I did not know how much I needed this podcast. It's like group therapy
Neil asks great questions! Huge Sebastian fan, so this was a treat. Loving this podcast. His Blocks comedy special was great.
Am here for some Sebastian!! Never heard of Neal but seems funny and thoughtful, glad I found this!.
Neal the goat. Saw him live in Philly, 10/10 show. This has to be one of the best podcasts out there.
Neal’s got a gem of a podcast. Definitely going to be one of the best soon
This podcast is very therapeutic and makes me feel like less of a freak.
I love that two of the most notoriously antisocial comedians have such a smooth, easy way of getting along with one another. They clearly see eye to eye with one another, & have obvious mutual respect... it's nice to see. 😊
I've never heard of this man, but I'm watching out of my love for Neal. I absolutely love this format. You're seriously healing the world, my dude. I want to see you doing this for decades lol
Sebastian is hilarious he’s one of few comics to sell out Madison square garden. He will bring laughter & joy
where you been the last 10 years...
Yeah he's one of the top paid comedians how the f*** is that make sense
Idk my dudes I have no excuse for this one lol he seems hilarious
Sebastian is a huge star in the comedy world. Treat yourself.
All 103 comments up to this point can be summed "I love this podcast"
I'm a big fan of self-awareness. I never heard anyone put it SO well. Thanks, Neal!
I loved the framed text that shows up towards the end
neil is an underrated genius.
So glad to see Sebastian talking to a sober adult, lol. The pathetic Bill Maher podcast episode was just painful. Poor Sebastian. This is wonderful.
Yeah. I like Maher on Real Time but can’t stand him on his podcast. He comes across as very abrasive and arrogant.
@@peppino1961...and in another "state".
@@peppino1961agreed. I like his comedy and his show but i can’t watch his podcast. All buzzed and sounding kinda smarmy. Sebastian in that atmosphere must hv been so uncomfy. I may hv to check that out for 5 mins of cringy fun.
@@LLynneM His first special was amazing. Then it kind of got a little stale. I find he exaggerated his accent and relies too much on his crazy moves which shows he lacks the intellect of Louis CK or Chappelle.
Best interview ever . I am so fascinated by Sebastian and just love his honesty and humility ❤
I don't know how to express this right, but I love Neal* because he's one of the most considerate comics, like he considers every aspect of a thing/project/premise. Even the transition into the ads, actually discussing therapy and then going into a BetterHelp ad, and tying it in and making it funny!
Holy shit! Abrupt and aggressive. Haha
Yeah he’s really good and I think Dave leaving his show abrubtly really hurt him financially and he probably struggled a lot with that. I know I’d feel a lot of different things. I was worried with how depressed he would say he is all the time but he seems to try a lot of different things.
Neal*
Sounds like he should try out being a writer might be halfway decent
@@aaronsmith4806 struggle sounds like a bit of a stretch he CO created the show👩🦽
So refreshing to see the old/real Sebastian that we know and love. Stay humble because that’s what we love about you. Sometimes you over shadow Pete on “THE CAST”… Take your mother’s advice. Stay humble…
Neal is an international treasure
This is a really good podcast
dam that lose thread on sebastian's sweaters collar is really messing with my head ........ love from hamilton ontario canada
Loose threads on sweaters, huh? Sounds like a fun life.
OMGOSH @Sebastian Maniscalco I'm exactly this way. 60 years old, Dad born in 1934 and was NEVER happy about anything.
Great show , and , a great guest too !!
Bout to learn who Sebastian Maniscalco is for the first time. Strap in, strap on, we’re in for a ride
Ozone IV is amazing! Give it time!!
Yet another home run here Neal!! Thank you for this podcast!
This is the pod that just keeps on giving ... thanks Neal!
I never realized how much I relate to Sebastian. Great Pod!
Love the podcast Neal, youre great at interviewing, keep it coming!
This is effing BRILLIANT!! REAL HUMAN CONVERSATION, TENSION AND FEELINGS!!! NEAL YOU'RE A GOD!! THANK YOU!!!!!
I loved this. Thanks Neal and Sebastian.
Just learned of Brennan! i always watch Sebatian, and so love this podcast! i get why Sebastian is worried about maintaining his Comedy level and success because I worry about that for him too, you need to explore other venues like he is doing, acting! cant wait to see his movie about his Father, he is such a genuine person, shares his life and how he CARES!!
Neal your a great host/comedian!!! I have completely enjoyed your work! Greatest, introspective, down to earth thing I have seen! Gonna watch and tell people to. THANK YOU.
Neal should get the Daily Show
I love your interview style! Quickly became a favorite podcast.
Brilliant gents... What a fantastic conversation.
These 2 work well together.
Another fantastic episode! Thanks for the amazing listen and watch! Such a great conversation. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you Neal, i cant wait to see more
Love both of these funny guys, so cool watching them chill with all that history. Being real is wonderful. Gave me some things (blocks) to look at myself!💖
It reminded me of a story from Bill Burr when he and Sebastian were living on the same floor and just a few doors from each other. And after they met in the hallway on a few occasions, Sebastian asks Bill; "I've heard that you're making
a good chunk of change. What is exactly that you do? I'd like to try it myself sometime" 🤣
I love this combo!
Great personal interview, one of the better ones on Sebastián, honest 👍
My two faves!❤
Late to the party but binge watching all of these 👍
Sebastian should make a dark comedy with scorsesse about the life of his character from the movie that would be cool the way he explained the dudes life was funny and out of left field would be funny to watch that story be told
I don’t care what anyone thinks the best Sebastian bits may be contenders for greatest of all time bit wise.
I just had spine surgery! It was my last resort but glad I did it. The sooner you do it the better, the longer you wait the worse it can get if you do need it. Get a few neurosurgeon’s opinions. Hope you’re feeling better considering I’m seeing this 9+ months later.
This was fantastic
Actually great episode!
This dude is VERY great on a podcast. Neil is also a favorite
Poor guy was also on Bill Maher's terrible podcast, where Bill gets drunk and stoned and talks at guests for an hour. Sebastian was so uncomfortable. But when he is talking to a sober adult, he's very interesting and open.
@@katashley1031 I love that Podcast and I love Bill
Oh yeah thisbis gonna be a good one for sure!!
The Pete and Sebastian Show podcast is one of the BEST FREE weekly podcasts out there, it's two seasoned very funny comics talking about their lives and it's so funny. Immigrant mentality, baby!
Excellent Episode
Sebastian is my spirit animal. Love love love this one. Thanks Neal! 🎉
Great episode
Well done!
Amazing ep
Awesome!!!
I’m born and raised in Chicago, and I remember when McDonald’s had a smoking section with a little gold colored 10 ashtrays
I remember this when I was a little girl, my father smoked. Lol
Much better on the commercial content! Thanks!,!
Great job fellas
Sebastian - "I'm taking about a year / year and a half off. I'm just gonna do Veags for a bit. Oh and I also start shooting a TV show in February." LOL doesn't sound like time off to me. Love all your stuff, me and my wife saw you in Chicago last year and couldn't stop laughing!
Comics usually work constantly to develop new material so that is a very light schedule.
Love how humble, honest and real Sebastian is!❤…not to mention the funniest comedian on the plant.😅Never change!!! I relate to Sebastian way too much!..Lots of the same traits as him and grew up with a similar background and from his same hometown in Midwest burbs! I have the same values & beliefs that I live by…Guess it’s the European upbringing…Italians & Greeks can be very much alike. Love his deep voice and Italian accent…Could listen to it all day!😊
Funniest comedian on the plant is not saying much! Yikes!
Great one
I love that show !!
In addition to meditation, also consider a great way to practice being present is by continually noticing and thinking about every step of what you’re actually doing, saying in the moment.
A couple Chicago guys and two of my all time favorites.
28:00 for a comedian I'm a fan of, I'll see them every time they are near. Sometimes multiple times per tour if the shows are close enough. We don't have comedy clubs in North Central WV so catching a tour is a huge treat and I'll take all I can get!
I too am so surprised he is raising his kids in California, but understand wanting to stay close to family. Stay humble Sebastian. That’s what we love about you.
Awesome theme
I loved the Netflix special. I identified with a lot of it. I loved the Letterman interview. Huzzah.
I felt like Neal spent most of this entire interview taking digs at Sebastian and I held back from writing it bc it felt negative on my part. Then toward the end when Sebastian brought it up himself I realized I was right
I think an important part of knowing someone for a while is that they give you perspective and keep you humble. They remind you of things you forgot about and in the end help you see how far you’ve come. Sometimes it’s awkward to be reminded of low points but ultimately it keeps you honest
@@ladderup6584ya but that’s not what was implied when this geek was talking to Sebastian
Yes, bring the Beirut bit back
Excellent
Sebastian is very tight and reveals information but as a general thing, he doesn’t completely let go.. which is fine to keep your business to yourself or tell ppl close to you.. but I always feels he holds back
Almost 1k per hour nice Neil nice
This show slaps harder then Will Smith winning an Oscar. Thanks Neal, Thank You Sebastian.
Love Sebastian ❤❤❤🍷
This was great! You are both hilarious and engaging. A friend of who has a 3x4 ft Portrait of herself in her dining room! Not a celebrity and a woman! . Had to share!😅
This is going to get my morning going! 😎
Sebastian for the sciatica Egosque cured it for me and thats after 2 surgeries.
Pete Egoscue wrote a book on it plus ur in LA so you can find a trainer.
Sebastian is very perceptive 😊
This seems likely the most unlikely podcast ever, well done Neal!
Blocks was a special special
Neal reminds me of Woody Allen except.. you know… without…
..Without the movies 😂
Blocks: People who have self portrait artwork of themselves at there home. Cut to a video of Bert kreischer house where he has 34 self portraits of himself on the walls of his house. Might be a literal nightmare for Sebastian lol
My mother's such a narcissist, she named me after herself. I finally got to the point at age 12, where I told my family to just call me by my first initial.
My sciatica was cured with acupuncture, after more than 2 years dealing with it. Just me, maybe it doesn't work for everyone, but just putting it out there.
Sebastian has to do Tigerbellly
Outa da box
I love the bit where you have the girlfriend test "well, you know we aren't going to hire you..."
Yeah, man. Right on...
0:21 For the people like me who for some broken reason can't deal with 20 seconds of intro.
🎉🎉🎉 yes
I remember when you could smoke on a commercial flight!
Sebastion.... Dr. Demetrio Aguila. Loved the podcast
