Zeus is an adorable head tilter. Loved hearing how you started helping your dad in the workshop. Very interesting.
Thanks for the story..its always nice to know what people have had for experience in their life.
It’s good to hear your back history and the struggles you had to endure as a young immigrant, and you grew up to be a fine man and your father would be incredibly proud of your success. What I like about you is you are independent and self supporting and I’m sure he instilled that in you and it’s truly the American dream and the stuff that made us great in the past and will continue to in the future as long as this spirit is rewarded. I’m pretty certain that your pops wouldn’t have left Lebanon if they had a similar reward system in place and we need to keep this going for future immigrants to achieve this too. Handouts don’t build character. Handouts build dependency. Bless you, sir!
Steve, your life story is interesting and touching. I also came to the US as a young teenager (from Greece), faced similar problems in school. My dad was a blacksmith, he made and sharpened knives, and pruning hooks.
How do you make a perfect video better? Add an adorable dog!
Man he got some miles out of those! Look we’re paying attention. Nice and thank you that you share your personal history. Shoes look great ...........as always. Zeus is a love. Handsome shepherd he is and so happy.
Thanks for sharing a bit of your backstory with us, I really enjoyed it. Also I love seeing Zeus at the shop.
Love those boots👍🏻❤️ Zeus is very handsome. Dog people are good people❤️ You are good people. Your dad must have been so proud of you🥰
Love to see when a merchant owns his own building. You can’t be forced out by high rents
Love Zeus! Omg, they way he tilts his head when you speak to him - it's so precious! Love him. And yah, you got that song stuck in my head!
Steve, Thank you for sharing your personal story. Your dad would be proud of you! Also, thanks for sharing the workings of your Landis Outsole Stitcher. Please video the next time you clean it. The inner workings and the engineering of those old machines is stunning. No microchips, no coding or 3-D imagining, just good old engineering and metal. Keep up the good work!
I enjoy watching a master at his trade. You have awesome control of that knife when you are separating the sole from the shoe. I shudder to think of me trying that. It would not end well for me or the nice leather shoe. lol I am in my low 60s and I can remember as a kid going downtown with my best friend Nick. His dad made and repaired shoes. We would go watch him work. He had a bench in the front window of the store and people would stop and watch. Great memories. Nicks Dad is 90 now and loves to talk about those days. Linda Perry sings that song. It is a song that once you hear it you can't shake
Love your craftsmanship! I thoroughly enjoy watching a master no matter what the trade. Especially enjoyed hearing your history. Knew you were lebanese but never heard the story (I’m fairly new to your channel). Just proud to call you a fellow American now. The USA is better for you being here. Thank God your parents made the amazing journey in ‘77!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the story Steve! So many of us who owe all we have to our Dad's teaching.... so wish they were still around to share our success and how we long to hear their voice again! ... and so we can say "Thanks!" to them in a very big way.
I wouldn’t have guessed you immigrated in 6th grade. Your English is perfect. You have an incredible story. Keep hammering!
Bored flipping through RUclips one night about month ago ,stumbled on these videos.....I'm amazed , your a true craftsman . Very nice work!
Hi Steve, those shoes were marvellous, great job.
That heel-lining trick with the sewing machine with no thread is jolly clever. 👍🤪🇬🇧
Bedo, Thank You so much for sharing. I knew there was a reason why you are so genuine and kind. I have great admiration and respect for you. Your craft and skill is truly a piece of you that you give lovingly to each customer. I would be so honored to have one of your masterpieces. Maybe one day. My son lives in VA.
Would love to see customer reactions from time to time. You did such a sweet job on these. Really dig that pattern you created around the sole perimeter. The customer would have to have had a smile a mile wide.
