Cool project. It made me happy when you said you would wear it the next day. So cool to wear your own work. 👌
AWESOME SHIRT! Great to see you back, Steve! I've/we've learned so much from you.
This reminds me of the mid ‘60s, and my pop getting a pair of ripple sole shoes for working on a concrete slab all day. Actually, he had a day job in carpentry, and his night job as a machinist at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company. He spoke about how much better his feet and legs felt with those shoes. These were the REAL aggressive ripple soles. I wouldn’t have expected to be visiting that memory watching these shoe transformation videos, but here we go!
Found your videos about two months ago Steve, thank you for posting these, I love hammer time and your beautiful dog. Keep up the good work, a true craftsman doing what he loves.
Steve, Thank you for your videos! I find them incredibly informative and relaxing to watch after a tough day at the office. Keep up the great work!
Very nice! Like the hybrid comfortable soles😎
I was driving through Northern Virginia for a training course and I look to my left and see “Bedo’s Leatherworks LLC” tucked between two buildings. I thought of getting a picture with you but didn’t want to interrupt your work. I almost bought a pair of shoes from goodwill just to have you repair them.
Cankle Medkits hahahaha
You can stop by anytime we are open
New level of respect sir for hand sewing that welt 👏🏼🇨🇦
Beautiful! Love the sloping heal.
What you said about the dog is bang on. Non-dog people lead such empty Lives. Thanks for posting
I have a Sha Pei (Chunky),a Boxer (Honey) and Labrador/Retriever mix (Snowy) Unconditional love!! Who needs women! ha ha!
I agree
@Ammonia Kills al Chamuco! Take your Meds my friend! x
Man's best friend, Zeus! Shoes...nice , you'll enjoy wearing them. And the compressor as background music completed the picture...lol
Dogs are the best people that I know. The shoes turned out great too.
Bedo I just finished up the video on the way home from church, it makes me want to throw my Cole Haans out the window. The shoe is beautiful and the style is extremely current. Keep it up
Now you have Zeus shoes. Black and tan - just like Zeus! Nice job on Florsheim's best, Steve's favorite.
Hi Steve, this is just a quick Hello from Germany. Actually, I am Lawyer and never was into shoemaking or repair so far. Now it had become my passion, thanks to you. I love your craftsmanship and your honest stories and thoughts. You made me curious about JR tannery and I just figured out they are from Trier, Germany’s most ancient city I used to live for a couple of years. Should have known that before I moved.
Anyways, thanks for doing this entertaining stuff. Keep it coming.
Hello Alfred from the US.
I can absolutely relate to your story about becoming passionate about shoes & leather work from watching Steve at Bedo’s Leatherwork and RUclips. I too am a manager in the aerospace industry and I went from needing a new pair of shoes for work and being tired of the low quality ‘throw away’ junk I used to buy to watching Steve and other passionate shoe people like Preston at The Elegant Oxford, Andrew Wrigley and his hand made shoe tutorials, to Robert Powers and his great passion for shoes , esp Allen Edmond made here in US, and I realized how incredibly intricate a well constructed pair of men’s dress shoes are and how much more comfortable and long lived they can be, therefore saving you money in the long run.
Leatherwork and shoe repair and shoe making has become a wonderful creative & artistic haven for me during the pandemic and has brought me tremendous joy!
You a very lucky to be in Germany where you can more easily visit JR Tannery. If you haven’t already, you should watch Kirby Allison of The Hanger Project and his tour of JR tannery and interview with Hanns Rendenbach. Hanns is a wonderful guy and his family a keepers of an amazing tradition in Germany for generations.
Really great that hand made shoes seem to be on the uprise and will not die out in this ‘throw away’ culture / world...that would be a tragedy.
i love Trier with the bastille and the black gate but didn't knew about the tannery
Bravo Bedo. I have 3 pairs of 80's Imperials, you really keep me thinking of spiffing them up
I’ve seen 3 pairs of Imperials while thrifting. If any of them had been 10.5E (guessing) I’d have sent them to you as a gift. Probably still will!
Have a wonderful day, Steve. Love seeing how much support you have. You deserve it
Just found your channel and I am so greatly impressed with your thought process, artistry, creativity, and skill. As a seamstress, quilter, artist, designer ... I truly appreciate your commitment to quality. I have always had an affinity for genuine leather. The hand, smell, patina, love it all. I also love cleaning and polishing vintage shoes, handbags, etc... keep the content coming, and I agree with other commenters that I enjoy watching every second of your work in real time. Fascinated by every bit of it 👞🤩👜
Love your shoes Steve. I can tell you really enjoy and appreciate those. How satisfying is that knowing that you made them yourself
This is a BAD A$$ shoe! I LOVE the way it came out!!!
When I was in HS Steve we wore Penny Loafers and Wing Tips that was the shoe of that period... Had some Cordovan Wing Tips and that style has stood the test of time... Love the shoes you just finished in the video...! Love the contrasting soles...Sharp!!!
And you will wear them for many years to come. Thanks for sharing.
So I’m not a fan of wedge heels but these did turn out great and clearly you are on the cutting edge of fashion and here’s why...
I was at a super fancy farm to table James Beard award winning restaurant in Rockland, Maine this fall with my girlfriend. The restaurant is called Primo’s- look it up if you don’t know it. It was really difficult to get a table but the manager/host/sommelier pulled it off for us after hearing that it was her birthday. He was very charismatic, professional and extremely well dressed and knew how to charm the ladies. I noticed his shoes which were a wingtip sneaker- something I had never seen before. I told my GF that this guy is on his feet all the time but can’t sacrifice style so that’s probably why he chose to wear these shoes. Way to go Steve you ladies man you!
a thumb up - also for you coming back after a break! What a relief!
Why am I walking around saying “crack is whack” to myself for the last 2hours?
Great video! Good for you taking a day to slow it down and for your own stuff Steve. Money is nice but it don’t make you happy by itself...
Great illustration of your masterful skills! NICE SHOES! My prayers and condolences on the passing of your friend. Have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving.
Nice! Made them look upscale casual. I like them! Great hybrid.
Now I know what I want to do with my vintage Imperials!!
I’m gonna be soooooo excited to see you complete this shoe for yourself! No instructions from customers. Just alllll off the top of your head!
“It’s HAMMER TIME🔨”
“Crack is cheap, I make too much money to ever smoke crack! Let’s get that straight! Okay? We don’t do crack! We don’t do that! Crack is wack!” 😂😂😂😂
STILL an epic interview
I remember reading am article in American Heritage of Invention and Technology, Rocky Marciano’s father worked at the Florshime factory and got young Rocky a job there sweeping floors. He( Rocky) is quoted as saying that he hated the smell of wet leather and whenever he was in a tight spot in a fight, wanting to quit, he would tell himself that if he lost, he’d be back working at that factory, that would give him inspiration to keep going.
The article mentioned his favorite shoe, of course he wore Florshimes, Imperial , I forgot the size, in a Savoy last.( not sure what the Savoy last was... a particular foot shape perhaps) Thought you might like to know.
I have to see if i can dig up that old magazine.
Looks like a great shoe for a wet/snowy winter.
If we ever get one
Love the 3/4 wedge concept, nicely done Stevie bravo!
That is a really neat shoe, Steve. Nice work, buddy.
I had vibram waffle/wedges on my resoled boots in the service. I loved them...Those shoes came out great. They look very comfortable
Dogs can always tell when you need a hug ❤ I love the shoes, they look soooooo comfortable! 👌❤
Fabulous t-shirt! Glad to see you taking time for you! ❤️. Um... guessing Whitney Houston before watching the end of the vid.
Beautiful work and a beautiful pair of shoes Steve! I hope you and your family have a magnificent Thanksgiving!
Love the shirt!!!
Very very cool! You’re the man Steve. Longer vids are always better. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻
Excellent work, as usual. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Steve. And to Zeus too. 🦃 This is supposed to be a turkey.
I actually learned more than I knew about shoes in the first 6 minutes; so I stayed and watched the remainder of the video and subscribed.
..... your work is Monster cool!!!
When I first heard you say you were going to make a wedge heel out of that Florsheim, I thought what the hell? After I saw the finished product I thought wow I might need to get some of those!
First Florsheim Hybrid shoes making in RUclips. So proud of you.
Love your videos!! But, your shirt really should say “Alright, let’s continue”.
Patrick Polk those are next
You do great work. The Florsheim's look fantastic. Happy Thanksgiving.
Heyyy! The compressor is back! Do you realize how much we're a part of your shop lol? LOVE this Work.
I'm on the other side of the country from your business, but as a fan of the channel I'm definitely wanting to get one of those t-shirts for myself!
They came out great! I always worry about that tread pattern, because its find for walking straight ahead on a solid, grippy surface, but if you walk on a surface that slippery and put any kind of sideways stress on your foot, the shoe slides out very easily because of the lines and you easily sprain your ankle. I had a pair of sneakers that had that and went along in the grass until there was a hill in the grass and I slipped so much I had to take the shoes off and walk barefoot to get down to flat land again because it was as if the hill was made of oil and soles made of teflon.
Steve. I love your new Merch. I need one of those shirts! Great job. I love me some “Hammer Time”
Hey Steve, Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you so much for your channel. You provide us with content that educates and entertain's us. We appreciate you. Denver out.

That is one damn fine looking pair of shoes, perhaps even better looking than the originals .Well done!
WOW, hammer AND compressor noise! That oughta' drive the Niles Cranes (Frasier) out there absolutely bonkers!
Nice! Love the hybrid conversion. Good lookin' hoof-cover!
Great video and superb job done on that shoe for yourself. Enjoy wearing them!! 👍🏻👌🏻😎
Those look nice! Great job, Steve!
Gorgeous work! I like the hybrid look!
I like that hybrid great shot STEVE
Love this one. This is more my style and can see myself wearing a dressier shoe with a more casual sole.
Those shoes are bad ass! I think you should find two more pairs and do the red and camo, they will all look cool.
I love the Florsheim Hybrid 😀 Happy Thanksgiving Steve and Hanna 😀😊👍🏼
2 videos in 2 days. You’re spoiling us!! Btw LOVE the shirt!
Happy Thanksgiving Bedo. Wishing you and your family all the best. Man I tell ya, that new video on how you do the designs on the soles is going to be amazing. The other video you have is okay, but it lacked your commentary, and reasons why you use the products and templates. Until next time, Lets Continue.
WOW! I love those shoes, that`s gonna start a trend I`m sure! A modern take on a classic! Hope you enjoyed wearing them! I`m jealous haha;-)
Omg! This is a gorgeous shoe. ❤️💕❤️💕. I am in love.
Glad to see you taking care of yourself.
Great job as usual Steve. Looking forward to ordering a shirt.
Love the hybrids! Steve just did a killer resto on some vintage Florsheim long wings for me. You’re great Steve. Happy Turkey Day to everyone!

Another awesome video Steve! Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
What a great gift to see your video before the "hurry up and cook" on Thanksgiving. By the way: Happy Thanksgiving, Steve! Always have, always will enjoy your videos! Almost forgot: Great T-shirts! Love Hammer Time!
You should have done the red. And I got a little excited when you said, "the black one doesn't fit"...but then you made it work. I was sooo rooting for the red sole!
fredy gump next one 🤣🤣
I'll admit, I was hoping for "Heads".
Glad you are feeling a little better. The wedge sole looks pretty cool on that shoe. Wishing a joyous Thanksgiving for you and your family. Be well.
Great job by a craftsman
Those are so sweet! Can't believe I never saw this one!
Great stuff El Stevo!............I personally look forward to "Compressor Time"!!
Whoaaaaa. I have a pair just like those. Imma need those done for me the same way.....ijs. Lol
Was it Bobby Brown or Whitney Houston? Crack is whack! Lol. Those look awesome! Hybrid is a good name. They kinda look like sneakers because of the wedge sole. I love it. You are a true artist my friend.
It turned out real good!
That is cool. U love it a lot. Unusual i think. Keep it up. Love your videos always!
They look great!
We’re so spoiled😊 Shirt looks good!
Some of us consider "compressor time" only slightly below "hammer time!" Then at 15:55 you start the compressor! Haha... Good to see you back Steve!
i love those shoes!!
