- It's time for another combo video! This is the most important of the DLC combo videos we have done so far because Terry Bogard was designed to make combos! There are all of his bread and butter set ups, touch of death combos and more performed all by our very own Salem.

Mad respect for doing combos on a medium sized character. People out here showing combos being done on Ridley. lmao
I always practice against Mario then see if it's possible against pichu. Then I'll see if I can lengthen it against larger characters.
It’s good to pick a taller medium character. Mario, Ken, Corrin are good test subjects.

I always try combos on mario and if they work I try them against pichu and bowser

dasuberpanda Tiger-Knee Power-Dunk will disintegrate shields, so unless they’re expecting it and pick the one option that allows for a reliable counter (spot-dodge) then they’re gonna get pummeled either way

Please don't use the Down-B version of the move
You should be using the command not down+b
Down tilt-True input Down B. Is 100% and works 99% of the time. Just gotta make sure they are closer to you before you down b lmao
My whole gameplan is fish for jab so I can have time to do the true inputs

Funny thing is that these combos are for beginners in an actual fighting game.
FGC|Checkmate True but in most fighting games, you just memorize the inputs and do them every time the situation arises. Smash combos are much more dynamic bc of DI and platforms. I mean, even beginner GG combos are more complicated. But I definitely think Smash combos are more advanced than SF V lol
@@adjmonkey Most Smash combos are 2 to 4 moves (I know some characters are exceptions). Even the most technical character in Smash Ultimate has combos that are about as complicated as Ryu's bread and butters in SFV.

@ so... you mean the rare combos that only work on Bowser? Smash Ultimate combos aren't evenly remotely long.
So I just want to let you all know that I was messing around in training mode and I found out that if you up throw at ledge and crack shoot immediately after it can spike diagonally and based on the character you're fighting could kill at zero. I believe it's true until around 30%. But depending on how well you use it you can possibly down air and take the stock. So I just wanted to get this out.

I accidentally found a u-tilt crack shoot variation after misinputting u-tilt power geyser.

You're chilling in you're house, when you here your doorbell ring, so you GO to the door. Next you look out of the peephole, but you see nothing, you GO outside and see a package, you GO "I never ordered anything, what's this?", but then you decide to open it, it has a message in it written on reading " Are you okay?". "You seem confused." A voice behind you says in a quiet tone, you turn around, nothing is there, you GO "What the?" But then, you feel a sudden pain in your chest, like an intense burning, you scream. Then out of nowhere, A menacing figure appears, he has a red and white hat, blue jeans, and a white shirt, "Who are you?!" You say, he doesn't respond, then he upper cuts you, and before your final second of your life you here "POWER GEYSER!". The End

I learned a lot! Personally I don't spend time memorizing combos since those change with character and percentage but this helped me see a lot of patterns of what moves combo into what so I can think on my feet
I was already thinking of being a terry main, and this video just reinforces that.

Thats crazy, I can't get the timing for command rising tackle after sh nair. Seems super tight
Is there an easier method to perform n-air > input rising tackle? It's a *little bit* on the ridiculous side and very frustrating to get down.
Same with n-air strings because I keep misinputing f-air when I move forward
the 1:15 combo can have a d-tilt before the f-tilt for jab lock or just extra damage. I think I found my new main along side Lucina

Also From 0% Power Wave (Light) SH UAIR, FF, SH DAIR, FALLING NAIR, UTILT, Power Geyser. From 0% Power Wave (Light) SH UAIR, GRAB, DTHROW, FH UAIR, J.UAIR, Rising Tackle (Heavy).

This might be kind of a dumb question but does anyone have like advice for hitting combos like this? I’m pretty okay at smash if I do say so myself but I’m definitely lacking and I really really wanna try and get to that NEXT level and I could use and would appreciate as many tips and tricks as possible, currently maining Terry so any help with playing him would be great as well
It's all about practising the combos, and making sure you can pull off the command attacks since they do a ton more damage and launch. Go sit in training to master the combo's and keep playing with people to get better ^^
I used to train 6-8 hours a day in training just to make sure I would not miss combo's as well as develop new thing while I was there.
Does anyone know how to do this "Special Cancel" he keeps doing. I know he has cancels in his regular combos but i don't know what this guy is doing.
Basically cancelling jabs/tilts/aerials into specials by inputting them while the animation for the attack finishes so it follows up right after

SH = Short hop
FH = Full hop
FF = Fast fall

I know you can DI or SDI some of his combos
Most of the combos can be escaped by Di'ing away but that's asking to get early Burning Knuckled. Jab 1 + Jab 2 combos can be SDI'd out of but only during the 2nd jab.

@@Loveistheirwholehapp Huh, didn't even realize that was in the game. For some reason I thought they used Arashi no Saxophone 2, but it's been a pretty long time since I played 14. Guess that goes to show how many special match tracks there are. Really ought to put in the ability to select your BGM, because some match ups you just never get to see (and therefore never hear the associated track), like Andy vs Tung.

The thing is that it seems like it’d be hard to hit stuff like falling up air and short hop power dunk. They seem a bit to situational and you won’t hit those combos as much.
Jeese Flix try reversing the falling up air. It has a better hitbox at the back like roy and chroms up air. And landing a raw power dunk in neutral isnt super uncommon. Its a good move to jump over projectiles.

What do the SH, FF, missed tech mean? I'm no smash scientist. I'm trying to just expand my usage with Terry.
SH=short hop
FF=fast fall
Missed Tech: means that the falling opponent landed on their back rather than teching

How do you reverse Terry for aerials if he always faces the direction of your opponent when he jumps? I’m new to Terry and I’m a little naive
Run in one direction then turn the stick in the opposite direction then Jump and input what ever aerials you want
You have to input the jump pretty fast but you’ll get used to it
