      Because its natural and happened much more frequently in pre colonial times.

      @@Madenthewest no, there isnt this is part of the biome you live in.
      Fires in the high desert forests are an essential part of the natural process.
      You moved here like a grifter and you want to permanently alter and ruin the habitat because it makes your life difficult!?
      You are just as bad as the ones who ruined the natural desert oasis to build Las Vegas.
      They have happened for millions upon millions of years, even when the great lake Bonneville covered most of California and the west southwest.
      They occur in Brazil on a far greater scale and have been since humanity first recorded it there. But guess what, they dont live there.

    Living in areas such as this, it would be a good idea to have a portable home fire pump. Can be attached to an outside spicket or using a pool for a source of water. Some of the larger units can throw water close to 50 yards. Considering the high-end homes that are consumed, I am sure they can afford one of those units.

    That area has always been arid. And the winds have been rolled through there long before man. Every few decades nature burned it out to allow new growth. Now they have high priced homes there. Adorned with palm trees and fresh grass. But this area is miles from the coast and is far from being beachfront property. And the brush there hasn't been cleared from the hillsides in several decades. Probably not since the homes were built. And the left screams climate change! But the change is the homes in this area where harsh wind driven fires are naturally occurring. Where fuel levels are at their peak and ready to complete their natural cycle. How ironic that the same people touting climate change are the very same environmentalists. That protest clearing out dead brush (fuel) for fire prevention. While citing habitat concerns for life other than the people living there. That's not climate change. That's extremely poor land management in areas like these. Where it is needed the most.

    The amount of extreme weather issues I’ve heard just in the past year is beyond count. Everywhere in the world. Even places that have never experienced it before. Extreme floods, extreme fires. We need immediate change in order to fight the effects of global warming. Stricter regulations on all these multi-billion dollar companies that don’t care about climate change and happily burn chemicals, reap the lands and dump into oceans for profit. Because it’s their actions that cause the most damage, not individual people. We need to care about this now and hold the relevant people accountable. The world is becoming unliveable. We need to let go of fossil fuels like oil and gas, and take sustainable and clean energy on board. It’s an option readily available but fought against because oil and gas companies would suffer massive losses.

    • @michaeljmccurdy9449
      @michaeljmccurdy9449 2 года назад +2

      You don't know for sure that humans are responsible for these weather changes. They could simply be solar cycles. Also, we already have a way to significantly reduce atmospheric carbon; regenerative agriculture with multi-paddock, rotational adaptive grazing. Basically, if we convert around 2/3's of the world's cattle farms to regen ag then, that will sequester enough carbon to satisfy what some say is "excess." But no, we gotta' blame big corporations and industry instead.

      @@michaeljmccurdy9449 you’re saying that big corporations and industry aren’t to blame? Take your example, cattle farms. Cattle are one of the biggest polluters on the planet. But this need for large amounts of cattle is driven by which industry? Primarily the meat and dairy industry. What you’re saying is true but do you think corporations are willing to adapt their business behaviours and substitute their cost-effective, largely profitable operations for a more environmentally ethical, costly option? Hell, even a more long term, sustainable option? I’m not sure they’d do that willingly. I feel like recently industries haven’t been looking forward into sustainability and ethicality. Just expansion. And I think that needs to change.

      @@suna2317 What I'm getting at is, world governments are willing to go to some extreme lengths to fight global warming and all of these measures result in costing an untold fortune while hurting the average person. The WEC wants to curb human progress and the fight against global warming is one of their main strategies. They don't want real answers like forcing cattle farms to convert to regen ag because that wouldn't further their stated goals. We are always being lied to in order to further their personal philosophical ideas namely, that the human population needs to decrease and manufacturing/human development needs to be stimied.
