My man!!! I was wondering what happened to you again, I was afraid you were gonna disappear another 9 yrs, I´m glad that´s not the case, please brother, never stop spreading your knowledge.
Haha nope, not the case. Big things brewing 🙏
@@TrueBoxerStance Thanks brother for coming back, I was really concerned
@@TrueBoxerStance keep it up champ your a goat, never stop
@@TrueBoxerStance weight also come in this mathematics and style of fighting
@@TrueBoxerStance body punch and i am tall guy . but still used left jab to body
I was whining and begging for this video for a very long time!!!♥️♥️♥️ Thank you coach you are the best 👌👌👌👌♥️♥️♥️♥️👌👌👌👌
Haha well I hope this helps Yuri 🙏
👊
🤣🤣🤣💡🚨
Exactly how Cus PUTS it:
Be in a position where YOU can hit him .....but he cannot hit YOU
Great lesson
Yo, I was literally just thinking I haven't seen a video from Mr. Marvin and the universe was like, "say no more, fam".
😂💪🏾💯
It’s a sign, Ninja. I heard your voice through the ether 😂
@@TrueBoxerStance glad to be on the same frequency then!✊🏾
I learned most of this threw Sparing. One of my favorite moves is to throw my first jab from one one angle and then the second from another. Its like setting him up to follow you on one angle but you switch back and throw your jab.
I recently started practicing boxing. I’m coming from a kung fu back ground and let me tell you it’s totally different. I been having problems with foot work and been watching your vids. Helped me out a lot. No I’m not perfect but I can see the progression. This vid hopefully help with me sparring against mostly everyone because I’m 5’7 and everyone at the gym is taller than me lol. Keep up the great vids man. Wish I found them sooner.
i literally sparred a taller/long reach opponent and did not realize i was doing this exact method and got really good jabs in.. funny how this video come out and now i have more of a formula because you explained it very well. Thanks! God bless!
Finna practise this on my friends
Don’t hurt them now 😂
It’s exactly the same message Bruce Lee developed over 50 years ago. But it’s good that use are continuing his methods and fighting techniques
The most important boxing lesson I’ve seen. Watched hundreds of other videos & never got this lesson. Respect, fam!
Man this is gold Marvin, thanks for sharing your knowledge !!
I appreciate you Marvin, I love the techniques you teach! Keep fighting the good fight!
Always many thanks Martin for helping me defend myself. Can't wait to watch your next video.
Thank you! This is so simple but it makes total sense. Really changed the way I think about fighting with a reach disadvantage.
Wow! Great thoughts from the master. I especially like where he pointed out that that long arms are only advantageous when squared-up. Once it is pointed out it is really clear, but it is something that could be missed just by not thinking about it. I am glad that coach Marvin is back!
The best coach online. greetings from Greece
Bro this kinda reminds me of Manny Pacquiao with his side to side & in and out movements
Like when he fought Oscar Dela Hoya, Manny came in quickly with left straight down the middle and would change his angle causing Oscar to turn and reset himself to square up with Manny Pacquiao
All in all great video and advice
Keep em coming
Exactly what it is. Vs Margarito as well. Loma applies these tactics as well
Great video coach. I truly appreciate the work you're doing!
I loved that piece at the end! "There's ways around it, just understand how to get there." That's right, just gotta be creative and work on it! Marvin your videos are gold. Absolute 🥇
Thanks very much for such an instructive video. This is going to help to save my face from blocking all those unnecessary shots I’ve been taking...🙈 Great to see you back on top form coach. Keep well. 🙏🏻
Good to see Marvin back.
This makes so much sense. Was sparring on Tuesday and did this kind of instinctively to much success, but I was a bit tired on Thursday and just tried going down the middle with my hands up and head movement and got pummeled by the same dudes. Vengeance hurts 😂
Nice to see a proper explanation. It sounds so simple but isn’t and that’s where practice and performance comes into play. Great video
The holy grail of boxing knowledge. Wow. Just wow. I feel so much more confident with your videos.
This was amazing coach!! More tips and demos for us smaller guys please!!
Marvin, just to echo what some of the other folks said in the comments, please don't stop sharing your knowledge. There are tones of boxing videos out there, but none of them is so refreshingly honest and straight to the point like yours.
Best boxing coach on RUclips your insight and attention to detail is top notch
Plz don't stop making videos I've learned so much nuance from the game because of you
You explain it so well. Thanks for your wisdom - God bless you guys!
FINALLY!!! I've been waiting all 2022 🙏🙏🙏
Marvin, which boxer is your favorite in terms of TBS?
YES! THANKS FOR THE CONTENT COACH!
You already know KryAON 🙏

Been waiting for this one 🙏🏼💪🏼
Hope I delivered, Jose 🥊
Everytime 🙏🏼 ur next video you should do is what if a guy likes to switch stances mid fight
Love your videos Coach. Helped me improve a lot !!!
Marvin this is truly perfect same thing Loma does Footwork is key to any combat sport most important I remember taking almost a year just to perfect the stance before I even started throwing punches boxing takes time to learn but like you said when it all finally comes together it's like ahhhhh thats what you mean lolol great work as usual 👌
Thank you so much for this, I’ve started doing boxing and Mui Thai for two months and figuring out I have to use my feet for my taller opponents, I have one guy I like to spare bc he taller and reach but I see now angles is what it is
FINALLY!!!! I thought you were mad at us bro!
Lol never 😂
Could you do a live sparring commentary and show how the principles you've been teaching are practical in a match? Thanks again coach!
Another fabulous video, filled with useful information. Thank you!
Well hey Justin, I got to thank you for tuning in again. Much appreciated 🙏
Thanks coach. I've been struggling with this problem for years. Now I can stop eating punches to score.
Yessir. Get off that line my man! Hope it works out for you 🙏
Champ is back yahooo!!
Sorry to keep you waiting 😎
Quality Under the radar content is the best content. Never go mainstream Marvin.
Selling out is not in my blood 🙏
Unless his knowledge garners great success and that's the big goal. Man is a very good coach, plus money only helps support the continuation of successful coaching!
First! Love you videos sir! You've inspired me to start learning!
Always happy to hear 🙏 take that first step!
@@TrueBoxerStance But maintain balance and true boxing stance, right coach.
Hey Ijust wanna say thanks for all your advice .I’ve been working on the one ,two while moving my feet and found my true boxing stance .#salute
Hey Tim, not a problem, I appreciate you listening, learning, and implementing 🙏
Hey coach love the stuff you show us in these videos being a shorter guy at a higher weight class similar to your situation I wish I could see some implementation of the style by you or someone with a high skill in the style just to be able to see what your talking about at a faster pace visually cuz I’m sure you know things get heated in that range when your the smaller guy fighting uphill like that. Thank you much love
Great video thank you for the knowledge 🙏🏿
I'm 53 and I swear you fixed my jab. In the more traditional stance, I would unroll my jab and it never felt as though I could snap it. Plus, it would burn out on me very quickly. Once I switched to the more bladed stance, my jab completely changed. Instead of pushing forward, my jab now comes popping out of my side. And the pop stays with me the entire round. I can throw twice as many with hardly and fatigue. Now I have a real weapon. And of course, by improving my jab, all my combinations got better.
Thank you sir.
Now I'm really looking forward to my first masters bout
Great information ! Thanks .
babe wake up, new marvin cook vid

Hi did foot work for 6 months in training before a punch was ever thrown..
Thanks again..
Tho my interest are put side of boxing.
There is tremendous value ...
Thx again.
Can you discuss ego and getting off the line?
To me....seems like ego keeps folks on the line longer than their training has taught them.
You’re 100% right on that. I know I allude to it a lot in my videos, it’d be difficult to say which ones off hand though. Maybe I can do a whole video on it though, I’ll write it down 🙏
Really good point Harvest 👍
@@TrueBoxerStance Thanks Coach!

It's like some dudes think they have to stand and bang or they're not being a Man somehow.
Chee-huu! I needed to learn this. Thanks!
I have to say Marvins teaching style is on point, I love the use of students as body doubles for technique explanations, it definitely helps put things into perspective, but if you doubt this, this is literally the starting point of any boxer's career.
Except for outliers like Adesanya and Mcgregor, they have very different techniques from stuff much older than the sport of boxing. But hey, i'm just an eye of Indra.
@@abyssoulzenith Where do their techniques come from?

Used across the frontier lands for centuries, cartoonishly represented by two people "tumbling" into a ball of dust and flying limbs while rolling around. The basis for hollywood bar fighting scenes, RAT fighting used anything you could grab in a pinch be it rock, club, butt stock, the balls, eyes, throat, and ears usally got ripped clean off. Throw them off a cliff or into a tree with sharp broken branches worked too. The curb stomp originally was a RAT technique. The basis for Marine Core CQC is RAT fighting. Bruce Lee could RAT fight his ass off and did so in many scenes, as did Jackie Chan whenever he "gave'em the chair" in his movies.
In the octagon, RAT fighting is usally the last few punches to the face after the head has hit the mat and ref is jumping in declaring a knockout. RAT ignores the "ground game" of submission and goes all in on "ground and pound" or turning the opposition into a useless balls of flesh and busted bones.

@@TrueBoxerStance nm bro just grinning ear to ear after watching this video. I was telling my coworkers about y'all
Great stuff sir!
Wow! Boxing is like pure geometry.
Thank you coachh ❤❤
My 6 year old and me are both learning, he is learning the boxing and I'm learning the coaching. We been at it for the last 6 months so still a long way to go. It's our bonding time, helps him stay active in quarantine and if he never chooses to compete then that will be his choice. Anyway just want to give a sincere thank you.
That’s great to hear, no better way to bond! Keep up us updated as you guys move along 🙏
Coach would you consider posting video analyses of some boxing fights? Your insights would be great!
Thank you because I'm genuinely confused on this. Like I'd be killing my stamina just to get in with what I've been told.
Hey marvin,
Thanks for another Great content. Your tactics really differs from other boxing styles.
Anyway, actually I'm the Type of guy who bob and weave and rush in to hit taller oppenents.
Right now I don't really know how your tactic, just fighting him by using These Angles, look like in a real fight. Maybe you could make a Video of your students from this Video, where they both do some technical sparring, so I can see what you really talkin about and maybe I can implicate it myself in the Future.
Kind regards
Thx alot bro I'ma try this in street fights
Great 👍 content, keep posting
Definitely want to see a sparring session
Fantastico master! bravo!
You have video about avoiding the kick with your footwork style (it was a short video).it would be awesome if you could give more information about it for us MMA guys.amazing video ❤️❤️❤️
Great video and great lesson. My only questions are when you are the taller fighter, how do you combat a shorter fighter working those angles? Furthermore, as the taller fighter, is it your job to take those angles away from him and how?
Comment to support the channel ..hope to see much more
Boost that algorithm! Thanks Miriad 😎
Hello, thank You for all the information you share! What do you think about the philly shell/shoulder roll defense technique? Looks like most of the guys with exceptional defensive skill, be it Floyd, Toney, Canelo, Sweet Pea, utilize it in one way or another, though, in that case they would pretty much by definition be in range to be hit, which seems best to avoid all-together, so is it better to at least know it, even if it's not the preferred technique or just always keeping the hands up and looking to move out whenever even about to be trapped? Thank you!
I really like the Vid.
But this is southpaw vs orthodox in the vid.
How does it look when you do Orthodox vs Orthodox?
Appreciate the lesson man, what are your thoughts on Mike Tyson’s peekaboo style of getting in close, seemed effective for him
Thanks yoi for this im learning alot
Happy to hear Brandon, keep on studying 🙏
Great video, when do you change angle on a taller opponent? Is it when they stop throwing their shots and would you step back first then change angle?
I'd love a crossover with Tonny Jeffries. Greets from Spain!
Thank you sir
thank you
Jes Sir fantastick Info greatings from Germany
You should do a video on a fighter who likes to switch stance mid fight how would u capitalize on that using tbs
But if he is a taller fighter he would be in outside fighter so would be really hard to cut angles on him
Phew! Thank you Marvin. Please don't leave us bro 😅 Many of us waited several years for you to come back. Doesn't this tie into "get off the tracks" or did people have trouble understanding that concept?
Of course Beowolf 🙏 And it absolutely does. Some may have trouble, but if they keep their ears open it’ll all come full circle.
Thanks Bub!
No problem Harbest 👍👍
Please make a video of some sparring with the true boxer stance!
I’d really appreciate if you could make a video on how to utilize height and reach
It seems fine when you're stepping to your backside because you can push forward with your back foot. I still have trouble seeing how you can cut the other way and still jab (and even more so: your cross) effectively since you're supposed to push off your front foot to go that way, making it very strange to try and move forward at the same time. I probably just lack the muscle memory and experience
I hope you are still reading these Marvin.... How does one cut the angle toward the power hand like that? Even though you're gaining an angle for the opponent's center line it seems like you're going right into another punching line from the right hand?
Thank you
Do a video on how to use your reach
I wish i can teach stuff as well as he does
Then would you have to perfect your movement because if you encounter a taller fighter who’s good at maintaining that head to head positioning
