Kind of feels similar to facing an opponent with a longer reach. If you stay face to face with someone who has an advantage, it will throw off your game. Seems like the slightest movement is key. Don't play where they are comfortable, move to a better position and strike. Very helpful video.
I am having some trouble throwing body shots with the TBS style. It is a new form for me so it is quite difficult for me to learn. I think I kinda figured it out a bit but I hope that there will be a video about how to throw bodyshots in the TBS to have a point of reference in the future.
I picked up that jab-step back pretty quickly that you showed. It felt very natural and I'm a southpaw, but I believe I can switch to orthodox in a Philly shell-fashion. Wish you could train me to switch between both..!
Yeah exactly, and not only the lead hook but also a fast straight left. I know Pacquiao love to step inside and Errol Spence too but I remember Pacquiao couldn’t do that against Mayweather. The only way imo is to properly set it up and to be fast as hell.
C'mon coach !!!!! You teaching these cats how to beat us Southpaws ..... Lol !!!! But yes, anything an Orthodox fighter can a Southpaw can do and it's all about making the adjustments and angles. And yes, as a SP my game obviously would be to work my way on the outside and develop an angle but that jab you threw on the inside was perfect. I've thought about that but never attenpted to go with but seeing it allows me to understand if and I'll practice that more. Again your teaching is priceless coach and I thank you sir.
I fight a southpaw like once a week and I know little about boxing except your videos and I’m learning the stance a little but he actually tells me keep my right hand in front of my chin and he does the same so the jab isn’t really there. He has like all of the martial arts included in his game like from bouncing his foot to using his elbows to step inside and throw a overhand
Moving towards your right can make it easier for the southpaw to find an angle from the outside, doesn’t it ? And at 3:03, if you go inside like this just because he use his pawing jab, a counter puncher as sharp as Rigondeaux could punch you doesn’t it ? Because I know Pacquiao does that sometimes but he could against Mayweather for exemple.
Only if you move to your right inside your opponent's range. I spar my coach 3 times a week, he's a southpaw and he catches me with his cross every time, stay out of range and you'll be alright
The opportunities you’re trying to create by manipulating each other’s lead hand are better created through position. Thanks for your question Miriad 🙏
@@TrueBoxerStance Hi coach! I had actually wanted your opinion on having your power hand forward in general, and more specifically with TBS as it encourages a more active jab. Thanks! Digging the new content too. Glad to see you're back.
And remember kids...
"Stop that."
lol
The best in the business hands down
Thank you Legend !
You’re too kind 🙏
This is random but coach Marvin built like a bodybuilder
Will be great to know how to use TBS in the pocket ,against the rope or in the corner . Love all your videos your concepts are really amazing 🙏
I think I saw a video where he implies circling out while jabbing continuously
Keep preaching coach! Love your teachings. Footwork is the alpha and omega.

You are 100% correct jibur. Glad to see some are starting to get it. 🙏
"Dont do that, Stop that" - I wait for this line in every video.

Kenny Weldon started a lot of the touching of hand my southpaw vs righty
Great instruction
I love watching these videos knowing I’m a south paw. Lol. And I switch hit.
Coach, how do you defend the right lead hook over the top when you step inside to jab?
Yeah exactly, and not only the lead hook but also a fast straight left.

People like to occupy the southpaw's jab hand because when someone isnt used to fighting southpaws it's the hardest thing to deal with
Marvin! What do you think about boxing self defense for the streets or any bad situation?
Needed this.
Wait when you do a Half step. Is it moved with back leg or lead?
Depends on the direction you’re moving, Jonathan.
Coach can you provide some boxing drills for us to work on?
I'm naturally right handed but for some reason stand southpaw go figure🤔 is it good to practice both stances?
Do you have any drills or techniques to get the most power out of short punches at close range?
Keep the vids coming
Coach what do you think about the pendulum rhythm in boxing
So marvin You dont believe in lead hand control ?

Watch that southpaw hook on way out to your left
