Knipex Forged Wire Strippers
Model #: 13 72 8
I just bought a pair yesterday. I had to replace a few Outdoor wall lamps. I had to trim back some screws. That was easy. Stripping wires was easy. And the jaw width was the plus for me:)
Man i could sell my soul to knipex 😂
Best wire strippers out there. I strip the small gauge wire with very end. Does the trick way faster! Love them.
Just got a pair from Amazon and they look great so far. I will try them out cause of the good reviews on Amazon and other videos on you tube here about these pliers from knipex.
Good video. These are some exceptional wire strippers. Benn using mine for 3 months or so and very happy with them.
I wish I would have bought these a while ago! Might be one of my favorite Knipex tools!
Yeah...they are great! I like all my Knipex tools...the Pliers Wrench is still one of my favorites, though
The screw cutting function is really the best. Nothing like it.
It’s insane how good it works!
@@ParklanCustom Spoils you for any other Hybrid Plier ! I used to like the Klein Hybrids , but after experiencing Knipex Goodness , they are Relegated to backup duties !
has any of you guys tried cutting other sizes of screws on it? I'm trying to find out if m3 screws cut on it are threadable
Solid video. These are a multi tool like linesman’s
Nice video! For bolt cutting just make sure you insert the bolt you want to keep from the side where you can see the Torx screw head of the pliers!
That way you make sure to always have the nicer theadable cut on the bolt piece that you will use!
In your presentation you had the nicer cut on the waste part of the screw! Just my2ct 😊
I didnt notice that! thank for the tip!
Mine should be here this week. I've considered wirestrippers to be disposable, this pair I have high hopes for.
These are definitely not disposable. I do know what you mean, though.
They are nice ! The screw cutting function , plus the enhanced twisting ability , make them Lineman Plier Killers !
How does the stripperʻs cutter compare to the Kuh-Nip-X Wire Rope Cutters 95 61 190?
That’s a great question and even better idea! I haven’t compared the two yet, but maybe we should!
I have just cheap old wire strippers and they do not work, I am looking into that upgrade as well now after this vid
These are a great choice, I wish I would have upgraded a long time ago!
@@ParklanCustom I just bought some, hopefully as good as advertised!
How is it for twisting wires together? I brought a pair of Klein hybrids and was left disappointed.
They work just fine twisting wire, about the same as linesman pliers when it comes to twisting.
How did they disappoint? Maybe we have different models, my hybrids are fine.
@@justinkase1360 I miss spoke, heavy duty strippers Model# K12035SEN was the item I brought. bad for twisting wires together
What exactly do you do for a living and how long does it take for someone to learn that trade? Do you make a decent living?
Mostly remodeling, yeah we do pretty well. Business can be hit and miss sometimes. if you want to get into the trades just figure out exactly what you want to do and search for companies hiring and try to learn as much as you can and then you can eventually go off on your own or sub contract with some other companies.
@@ParklanCustom do I need to go to a specific school? What kind of education do you need?
Depends on what you want to do, you can do an apprenticeship without going to school, but if you want to be legitimate. in my state you just go take a test to get your certified license, now if you want to do electrical and plumbing, you definitely want to go to vocational school and then once you complete that you take your test to get certified. I started doing remodeling work when I was a teenager and I wasn’t licensed but my uncle who I worked for was. so i didn’t need it back then, but once I went out on my own I had to get my certification licenses.
Hmmm....so you finally found that situation where having two strippers is less desirable than having just one! I guess that's the end for Tiffany and Cinnamon, my former two favorite strippers. 😜
🤣🤣🤣
Nice but i think this tool is not suited for live circuits as is the one with yellow & red handles is.
wheres the link?
to the right of the title there is a little down arrow click that and it will open up the description.click on the link and just type what your looking for in the search box
@@ParklanCustom They want to ship it fedex....thats more then the tool costs
I don’t want you to have to pay that much, I appreciate the support though, I do believe they do free shipping on orders over $50, if not, you could also find it on Amazon or Home Depot’s websites and I believe they do free shipping over $25

Oh my, stripping wire is not that hard. Start with a long piece or a connected wire for leverage. Also cut the romex down the centre first to remove the sheathing.
It really did seem like he was playing up the difficulty.
No sabes usar la pinza 😮
if they are using wire strippers to strip wire then they are not good
Strippers are strippers
knipex handles look too long. gotta choke up on them to get leverage. should not have to use your thumb to push the strippers away or have to twist the pliers around. and they should never score the copper itself.
There's nothing better than American made Klein or Channellock pliers. Buy US maid tools and support American workers!
I love supporting American manufacturing, I actually made a video about why I no longer prefer channellock, give it a look and tell me what you think.
Truthfully, Klein or any other US made tool pales In comparison to these
I share your sentiment, but US consumers can not make the moves required to save American manufacturing. Our government makes it such that we lose those jobs. Anyway, it's just part of that "free market" so many claim to be omnibenevolent. I rarely use strippers, myself, because I strip using normal Klein lineman's pliers. Well, now I use their Hybrid Pliers, mainly to save weight. The only time I see need for strippers is if I'm making up a panel or a large box. Not too often. Still might pick up a pair of these, they seem like a good mix for that task.
I’m a union worker who buys knipex, because they are simply better and make my job easier
@@noahams1003 What union?
You are comparing strippers to combination pliers. Different tools for different jobs.
They actually have quite a few overlapping uses.
@@ParklanCustom They do have overlapping uses, but they also have obvious differences.
No electrician will use such a silly tool. We all use sidecutters
Every electrician I have ever worked with has multi component wire strippers lol
