After playing RE5 on PS4 for the first time, I decided a fun challenge run to do on it would be a no guns challenge. Is this even possible? Can Wesker be defeated without guns? Can you save Jill Valentine? Hop into this Resident Evil 5 gaming challenge and we'll find out together my brothers. This game is also known as Biohazard 5.

I’m so glad the developers of Resident Evil 5 decided to put her in the game, I wouldn’t have anyone else but her. YOU love Sheva, and YOU love Sheva! EVERYONE loves Sheva! Little did I know, I’d come to completely hate Sheva by the end of this journey.
Hello friends, my name is Dante and today I pulled the riskiest gamer move of all time. I jumped into an action packed game full of guns, rejected all them big boys, and ran into battle with nothing but the clothes on my back, and the… fists on my forearms. And also a stun rod. Wait what? You’re saying Resident Evil 5 is impossible to play without guns? I got grenades! I got karate! I can frigging PUNCH BOULDERS MAN! I don’t need guns! I pulled out my meat saber, put on my kicking shoes, and got straight to work. So, can you beat Resident Evil 5 without guns? Can I pull off such a madlad move? Let’s go on this journey and find out together.
So we start the game off in Africa, we see Sheva’s thiccness, and then we make intense eye contact for nine minutes straight. I don’t know about you guys, but I really like this one. Is it getting hot in here or is it just me? To get Sheva attracted to me, I knew I had to pull off a real bad boy move and prove that I was the alpha male around town. So I walked up to a group of soyboys and taught them who’s boss. How do you do fellow kids? That’s when I began to hear strange noises coming from the bag. Oh god oh jesus SOMEONE HELP ME! Are you attracted to me yet?
Sheva and I got our new weapons and I completely denied to grab them, but the man wouldn’t let us by unless I did. And no, I wasn’t scared of him ok. I only picked the guns up to progress the story. Little did this man know he’d be epicly pranked because the moment I grabbed my gun, I deleted it from my inventory. Then I proceeded to take Sheva’s weapon from her and I deleted it too. You women are always talking about equal rights, and that right there was a steaming hot bowl of equal rights. Oh shoot. Wait I didn’t even explain the rules did I? That’d probably be a good idea huh? Alright so basically, we have to get through this game without using a single gun. So what’s allowed then? Knives are allowed, punching is allowed, grenades or any sort of bombs are allowed, and stun rods are allowed. Basically anything that doesn’t go BOOM BOOM. And no, the flame thrower is not allowed whether you’d call that a gun or not. So really, although this game is absolutely LOADED with different kinds of guns and ammo, I can only use four methods to dispose of enemies. And spoiler alert: I played on the hardest difficulty available to me which was veteran. MAD LAD ALERT! OH and by the way, in this game for some dumb reason, you can grab all of the items in the area, quit the game, and come back into it and you’ll have all of the items you had from the last playthrough. Essentially if you take the time, you can just clone the same item over and over again for as long as you want. This ISN’T ALLOWED.

Cant beat re 5 without guns the desert level only gives you a turret gun but yes most of the game you can
RE6 challenge: use only guns
You ca karate your way to re 6 even zombies you can punch them in the face and not get bitten.
i actually really liked RE6 gameplay but only as a completely separate action game if i pretend it isn't supposed to be resident evil. the 3 pairs of characters with unique enemies and map styles and cross over 4 player boss fight and the awesome jump back and roll system and the very effective soft lock cover mechanics and environmental kills were all amazing work for an actiony 3rd person shooter. they should have just made a spin off game like operation raccoon city but it would have been actually good

you can bounce a grenade off the “animal clinic sign” for the ‘throw sheva to the other side’ portion and it’ll blow up the lock avoiding the entire dilemma
Yeah this was a speedrun strat i used to do back in the day. Surprised he didn't know about it. Studying the speedruns will probably help a lot with these challenges.

So a couple fun facts for maybe future runs in re5 most* of those tripwire mines can actually be knifed on the square part and explode harmlessly. second the part where you throw sheva across to the other building if you actually throw a grenade off the yellow sign it can ricochet and blow the lock off the door. Those are the two obvious ones I've noticed so far.
I loved RE5. Especially the coop mode.

Most underated? RE5 is the bestseller of all RE games, sold more than 7,5 milion copies. RE2 Remake is probably going to outsell it in future, it's near 5 milion but you can't say RE5 is underated

The part where you have to boost sheva to open the door for you with the chainsaw guy, you could've avoided that altogether if you throw a grenade (I think it was a flame, or a regular one) at the sign, it bounces back onto the locked door and breaks the chain, without having to boost sheva at all
Correct.I remember first i've done this with a rochet launcher (co-op),but you can with any explosives. You need more accuracy with grenades of course.
You can also skips the cage part on the ship and you can avoid the alarm inside the ship where there are a lot of enemies.
Such an old, classic pro tip, I love you for pointing that out because it saves soooo much time. It works well with the frag grenade.
I thought that was a well-known trick. I wonder why he didn't look for online help at this part if it was being such a pain?

You have to snipe them.
6:58 can be skipped with a well thrown grenade into the animal health sign. It bounces off and undoes the lock. Honestly forgot that she had to go across I have been doing it so long.

The door that you need Sheva to open for you, can be opened by tossing a grenade and bouncing off the middle of the yellow shop sign back down to the door.
These challenges should just be called: "Can you beat a game without having ANY fun the whole time?"

For that door part with having to throw Sheva across the gap, you can actually get the lock off the door if u bounce a grenade off the store sign. Takes a bit to get it right

8:00 For the door there, you can actually bounce the grenade off of a sign on the building across from yours so that the explosion ends up breaking the lock for tou, its how i dealt with this part instead of relying on ShAIva.

With the chainsaw part there's a way to skip the whole thing with a grenade I guess it just didn't work for you for some reason but you can throw a grenade at the locked door to open it without having to throw Sheva across to the other building!
what people don't forget is that sheva tornado kick is great at grouping people. Legit it's pretty OP even during mercenaries

7:45 on the second floor balcony u can toss a grenade at the sign on the opposite building where sheva jumps to and it will bounce back towards the lock on the door to break it, and totally skip the having to send sheva over by herself.... i do it all the time.

I used chris' minigun put the nozzle through the door to the lock and shot it off
7:16 fun fact, if you trow a granade to the "animal health" add, the granade go to the door and blow the lock
It’s been a year, but if you ever do another RE5 challenge, when you get back to the part where you have to throw Sheva over to open the door, if you angle a perfect grenade right you can bounce it off the building next door and blow the lock off, skipping the sequence entirely

8:00 you can actually ricochet a grenade off one of the signs to bounce near the front of the door. And that will blow the door lock off. I was able to do it on the ps3, but i havent played much of re5 on ps4.
