A video I've been wanting to do for a while was a "least kills" video on the Last of Us. This video was so fun to do and it really surprised me how many enemies you can avoid as Joel and Ellie. With the Last of Us 2 coming out soon, I've decided to start doing more The Last of Us videos and I think they're coming out great!
So, how many enemies can you avoid in the Last of Us? Find out by watching the video, but I will say I used lots of techniques and strategies such as getting my allies like Tess and Bill to take down enemies and I used lots of glitches. Everything is explained clearly in the video.

GAMERS RISE UP! YOU. Put down that gun son we won’t be needing it here. And you, leave that rifle behind, in fact, I’d say it’s time to hang it up on the ol’ wall. BOY! YOU STOP THAT CRYING RIGHT NOW YOU HEAR ME? We’re going to get through this ok? Don’t be scared.
Hello friends, my name is Dante and today, I tried a challenge that would break any man’s soul. In the face of danger, I’m going to hang my weapon up on the wall, bend over, and take everything the bad guys throw at me just to see how far I can go without breaking. We’re going to cast our Skyrim Muffle spell, creep up behind all enemies, and say, this is MY swamp. Then we’re going to tuck them into bed, kiss them goodnight, and tell them to pray to Shronk like every good boy should.. So, how many enemies can you avoid killing in The Last of Us? Come along on this adventure with me my children, and we’ll find out together.
So really quick, let’s throw out a few rules here, you know, the rules I followed along the way, because surprisingly, there’s A LOT of different ways to play a pacifist run in the Last of Us. You may have a few different questions like “do cutscenes count?” “Are you allowed to damage enemies as long as you don’t kill them?” “Can your allies kill enemies for you and if so, does that count towards your kill count?” I’ll answer all of these sweet honeysuckle juniors soon so get out your snacks, pull out your bibles, and let’s get down and dirty into this!
Now the king of this run, the thing I always looked to in my time of need, was the statistics page in the menu. Here, it tells you how many kills you have, deaths, time played, blah blah blah you get the point. My main concern here is the kill count. No matter what happens in cutscenes, no matter what happens in the gameplay, I’ll always be referring to this kill counter. That being said, rule #1 is no matter what, the kill counter is king. I’m trying to get the lowest kill count by ANY means necessary. I want that number to be the absolute lowest in can be. So then, this brings me into rule #2: allies can help me out whenever they can. This made the run so much longer than it needed to be because allies TAKE FOREVER just to kill a single enemy, but the fact is, my allies can kill enemies for me without it counting towards the kill counter, so allies can definitely help out at all times. Rule #3: I am allowed to use glitches, AS LONG AS I never use mods or cheats. As with every challenge, I allow glitches since literally anybody watching can do them and glitches are a part of the game, but I am totally against any sort of cheating or mods.

@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr yeah but probably not for long you either would get infected or die of a massive fatal heart attack or embolism due to the amount of high sugar and fat within a human not to mention the risk of dying from water intoxication seeing as our body's are like 70% water.

@@thebloodyaussie1458 I find it unlikely that he would somehow develop a fatal infection when the moment Joel shot him and when the soldiers got there were probably minutes apart (an hour at maximum and even then that's pretty unlikely that he'd die even with the help of a bleeding foot)

I always find that hospital scene funny because the chick is calling Joel an animal, yet she's about to hack up an innocent young girl.

In TLOU2 you can avoid killing all (human) enemies in Ellie’s section which I find very interesting. Yes, glitch-less, no weird enemy A.I. breaking, even avoid it with allies (note: the school part is really hard to avoid). On any difficulty
It doesn't seem possible on grounded, but that makes sense with how difficulty affects enemy detection

@@kadebass6187 I think the problem I've had is that you get cancelled out of the section escaping animations because they're noisy and always attract enemies as far as I've seen on grounded, like for example I get shot when trying to push a door open and even if I'm nearly done I stop because if being attacked

@@kadebass6187 the character, unless my game is glitched, I'm not able to open a door in combat, and that included being mid opening as it starts, there isn't physically enough time in many of the scenarios to open the doors and remove barriers before you're spotted on grounded, unless you kill some of the patrolling enemies and are able to open it before the survivors adjust their routes and get too close to the exit again, which also doesn't seem possible in many cases, particularly in the frequent low ammo situations that happen in grounded

If you haven't played God of War for ps4, there's a character who follows you (your son) and you can order him to shoot enemies for small amounts of damage. It would be pretty cool if you could beat the game with only his sons weapon. It's also just an amazing game in general and worth your time whether or not you can milk it for content.
EDIT: he says in an older video that he has played it and that he was trying to think of a challenge for it but hadn't yet at that point. Also doing a fist only run would be cool

The first glitched area could have been done without kills even without the glitch, just sneaking past all the infected, even in the train station. my favourite parts of the game are the different interactions in this game because by sneaking by all the infected in the station, Joel has to quickly boost Tess and Ellie over the fence and climb the ladder before the infected reach you.

More games need to include an assist kill count. I can't recall seeing one outside of COD games.
I'm surprised these games don't have an assist kill count. It makes "maximum kill" challenges really difficult

18:47 when the bloater comes, he jumps off that little hut thing in the middle of the room. While he is jumping off, you can shoot his leg with a hunting rifle and he'll die immediately. Honestly, I'm not sure if this would be added to the kill count since all you did was blow it's leg off, but it may. Just a thought.
I finished the last of us for the first time today, without knowing anything about glitches or even being interested in using them since it sas my first time playing the game and i think i shot the bloaters leg by accident because i almost immediately killed that thing while it was on the top which left me so confused at that time hahaha but now i know why it died so fast

Pizza_Eating_Pug the developers confirmed she is a lesbian. In Left Behind, she kissed Riley, and I think the game involves Dinah (her love interest) dying and Ellie hunting her killers

During my first run I had a situation where I noticed in the listening view Ellie was T-Posing a short distance away; Also Henry had glitchy behavior during gameplay right before he killed himself, twas spooky.
