- Can You Beat Resident Evil 5 Without Taking Damage? THIS WAS A BIG MISTAKE AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF SHEVA. With the new Resident Evil Village demo and trailer coming out, I thought I'd hop back into RE5 since it's been almost a year since I've played this on the channel.

Resident Evil 5 is a good RE game don't get me wrong, but I never personally liked it too much. It's definitely decent but can't compare when put against Resident Evil 4. ALSO I hadn't seen anything on Resident Evil Village until just a few days ago and wow, it looks absolutely amazing! I also wasn't the biggest fan of RE7 but you'd better believe I'm excited for RE8. Have you seen that vampire lady? Oh BOY. Capcom is finally going back to their survival horror roots and I couldn't be happier.

Sorry for not uploading it 3-4 days after my last video like I said I would. Clearly I can't be giving out announcements anymore because I never stick to them. Giving announcements just motivates me to work even harder but when I don't hit the deadlines, I let you guys down and disappoint people. On the bright side, it's only been a week since my last video! Lately I've been uploading every 2-4 weeks so this is a good improvement. Do you guys have any video ideas for me to do? Let me know below. I have plenty of ideas but I always enjoy hearing new ones! I was thinking of doing the Resident Evil 4 Welcome to Hell mod next but I guess I'll see. There's a speedrunner CarcinogenSDA who does guides on how to beat every game with no damage taken with other stipulations like Invisible enemy mode, kill literally everything, etc. He did a damageless RE5 Professional run with his buddy and even he said that it's just not possible even with two hardcore players to not take damage in that level.

Yeah, my first playthrough I ended up that way, no bullets for a uncomfortable amount of time in the final boss 😅.
Same, Chris did while I was playing as Sheva. Also apparently you can kill well before that with an rpg.

The worse part is Sheva is actually really good as a character and I wish she came back in the series. Still somehow RE5 is one of my favorite RE games
To be honest, RE 5 was my first real introduction to playing the Resident Evil franchise, so it has a special place in my heart
I would have loved to see Sheva return someday in a future installment. She was actually a good character, it was just the terrible AI that character was saddled with that tarnished her place in the Resident Evil franchise. Maybe in a future installment where Chris rounds up old friends to take the fight against whatever threat that pops up. I honestly think having Sheva work together with Jill Valentine or Rebecca Chambers would be quite the fun.
I've not played RE5 yet. Ill probably get around to it eventually I know a lot of people think it's where the series started to decline but I'd like to at least give it a chance
@@Scoottheboot670 RE5 was a decent game, its biggest issue is the co-op partner has terrible AI. And it wasn’t really that scary or spooky which is another thing people had an issue with. If you plan on playing RE5, try to see if you got a friend to play co-op with.
@@TheGary108 yeah I dont really have any friends who would be interested in that. I'll probably still play it eventually though, I'm trying to play all of the RE games. So far I haven't played 5, 6 or any of the unnumbered games on and 0 I guess

Dante, the “infinite horde” Sheva wasted her bullets in aren’t infinite, if you kill all of them after a certain amount the last one drops a high value treasure
I forgot what the item is but it’s worth like 10000-15000 pts
It's the only way to get that treasure type too, so you need it for one of the achievements.
Also, the later supposedly infinite lickers fight is also not infinite, and a great source of cash.
@@calemr Yup, that's how I bought and upgraded all weapons to get them two achievements back then. Platting RE5 sure was grindy!

Best way for cash, I found, was to
1: Unlock infinite ammo on a good weapon (Rocket Launcher or Broken Butterfly are best) or just have a good amount on a decent one (50 bullet clip bolt action rifle FTW.)
2: Go part way through 5-2, where you'll autosave as you enter a red lit room that's basically a big long U shaped corridor with a bunch of lickers you can fairly easily pick off at range.
3: Kill, loot for the lion heart gems (2.5K each) they drop.
4: quit, choose to save current gear.
5: Load, the lickers have respawned.
Repeat steps 3-5 as necessary.
It only takes about 2-3 minutes per run, for 5 set gem drops (12,500G).
The "Infinite" lickers in 5-1 only have 4, google tells me, and it takes longer to walk around.

@@OpticHamster69 RE4-5-6 are the easiest one of the entire series , because you can kinda grind the enemies for bullets (almost like an infinite bullets mode) , so , all you have to do is equip your most powerfull gun , or prefered one and go on a rampage the entire game , as for the damage part , you just have to pay attention , thats it , i remember equiping the shotgun (my favourite) and just running through the games without ever being short... Anyway , you get the idea :)
@@lilsabin well when it came to playing professional, I'm not going to make a campaign that should take maybe 2 to 2:30 into 20 hours because of the shitty AI in the game

I feel like everyone has a widely different experience with Sheva's AI .
I've read countless times it's awful , but i never had THAT much of an issue with it .
Sure , she can't manage ammo or anything , but the AI basically has aimbot insta-headshot activated non stop .
Give her the unlimited ammo longbow , and she becomes a death dealing machine of flawless accuracy 😂

No matter the difficulty... you CANNOT avoid damage, on the part with the vehicle, single or co-op even on Easy, you take damage to the vehicle one way or another... Same goes for the fight with the Giant.
Edit: Forgot to mention, doing those missions Co-Op, really helps at minizing Vehicle damage.
Just found this gem of a channel and the concept and content is damn awesome.
I feel I have been living under a rock and wish I had stumbled upon this sooner, but better late than never I guess.. So I've chucked in Resident Evil 5 and I'm preparing for a proper dose of ultra violence and a bit of that good old in out, in out. Thank you Mr. Ravioli for a nice take on R.E.5.
I have never had the partner A.I. troll that hard before. It's like the game was able to analyze your behavior and determine you were trying to challenge yourself.

Idea for a challange: "Can you amputate every zombie without killing them in RE2/ RE3?". It is so much fun when they crawl all over the place. I have never seen anyone doing this kind of challanges

I recently played through the game in Veteran and so glad to see someone share the same opinion about the AI. The funny (frustratibng) thing about the AI is if you do a quick turn and notice you have a clear shot, the AI that is following will stop right in front of you and block the shot. Sometimes I start to question which side the AI is really on.

With respect to beating the boss "normally", I actually didn't know there was a QTE way to beat him until, like, my 4th playthrough. I usually had both inventories filled with acid rounds and prayers. Imagine my surprise when I got that button prompt.

Oh you mean a completely normal professional difficulty playthrough?
I think RE5's Professional isn't really intended to be ran fresh, it's supposed to be NG+, so that's why your weapons and armor carry over. RE4's Professional could only be ran fresh the first playthrough so it was clearly meant to be done that way.
Ryan I managed to beat professional with my brother. It was really tough and frustrating . Made Re 5 not fun, but we did it. You couldn’t have any heals because the animation took too long to actually heal. You always needed to use the injection to hopefully stop the death meter. I remembered Irving being super hard to defeat. That took us a while to get through. We had to give up and try again another time a few times for our sanity
@@VaporeonEnjoyer1 It has to do with how online Co-op work since you are able to join another person's game even if you were further along with much better weapons. All of this could have been fixed if they had made a separate (maybe smaller?) item box for professional mode.
@@cubah1 I did it solo and the hardest battle for me was the one with Jill and wesker. Took me so long to finally corner wesker and have jill somewhere where she couldn't kill Chris (I was using Sheva and for the most part the AI didn't buy out on me). Keep in mind I was using both types of armor and the infinite ammo sniper, magnum, rpg and handgun.
Danial Yousaf as I was reading I was like, “how did he beat it with the AI, that sounds impossible”. But then I read about the infinite guns and figured that helps. I don’t think you can beat it with regular guns. I did it that way with my brother, but he isn’t the AI.

Mean while Sheva "attack" mode is just chilling in the back
Which is weird since in a few missions I actually had to set her on cover instead of attack cuz she kept getting all my kills forcing me to get an A rank 😂.

Hey man that’s hella hard and I got all trophies in the game and hard and crushing difficulty made me cry every time because I keep dying at least 30 times in every big gunfight
@@gamerlordthebest For me crushing in drakes fortune was kinda easy, you just needed a shit tone of patience and to abuse covers. UC4 crushing though, especially the last segments... That was nerve-racking at its finest
