    I told the devs in the PTS time and time again that they should've let it affect all energy damage accross the board. Sadly devs did not listen :(

      It will make Plasma caster even stronger. Right now it takes a few shots to take down a scorch beast (with crits) and it will absolutely destroy a simple enemies with just one headshot.
      It's my favorite weapon, not gonna lie, I would love to see it stronger, but in terms of balance it could be overpowered.

      @@lutzritz388 I disagree. Plasma caster got nerfed this patch along with the other plasma guns. So if the perks actually worked with it, it would just make it the same as before, not stronger. Plus either way the plasma caster is a crap bossing weapon even before the nerf.

      @@lutzritz388 Plasma caster's damage lost a good chunk of damage because of its prime reciever nerf, which was about exactly 30% or so. If the perks affected it, it would simply deal mostly the same damage it did before the nerf.

    Not only it's expensive for 30% damage, but it doesn't work for 80% of my energy weapon, I love you so much Bethesda!

      Yeah it’s worthless to use these cards. My ult laser was at 102 damage without the cards and with them it’s at 112. I get a extra 10 damage. 10 damage isn’t worth 6 points

      Also it will be only 30% if you have all 3 cards: plus it's only base damage. My alien blaster increased a whopping 7 points. 😂

    I see no reason for them to lower the gat plas damage has always been one of my fav weapons. Definately noticed it right away.

      it was originally because of the legacy gatplas, but Microsoft forced Bethesda to remove legacies. Bethesda didn't want to.

    What I don't get is that Friendly Fire works on most weapons that do fire damage and weapons that have a flaming mod. So why is it that the Science perks are only limited to a certain amount of energy weapons? I can understand why it doesn't work on heavy weapons since they're already doing a lot of damage, but why not weapons like the Plasma Cutter?

    Something else weird, When opening a perk pack, the last animated card was a 3 star bandolier! I have a screen shot for proof but when I checked my cards, I only had the regular cards

      There’s some weird stuff going on with the perk card displays and special display screen. Like I’ll have one slot available on strength, but it doesn’t show the empty slot. Only when I equip level 1 bandolier it equips properly even though a slot for it wasn’t showing.

      Bandolier used to be three star, maybe it got cleaned up automatically because that is invalid now.

    Wow I'm just learning today that High Voltage Hefe doesn't affect my Gatling Laser........ 🤦‍♂️ Is it Bethesda's goal for nothing to be intuitive or make sense? I guess I should check my Psychobuff while I'm at it, wouldn't be surprised if it only works with baseball bats or some equally ridiculous thing. What's the point of saying "energy damage" if it doesn't actually mean energy damage?
    Honestly Turtle if you could make a video talking about all cases of unintuitive buffs that would be great. I feel like community doesn't know what works with what anymore because descriptions are so poorly worded.

      I didn't know that until recently too. How are we supposed to know? It says energy weapons, how is a Gatling laser not an energy weapon. It shouldn't matter if it's a heavy gun or not. And if they really don't want it to affect heavy energy weapons, WHY NOT SAY THAT IN THE DESCRIPTION.😊

    The damage tweaks they made seem to mostly be more damage it seems, the fake sheepsquatch insta kills me with its laser chest attack now, even while unloading on him with a vamp enclave flamer. That wasn’t the case before. The daily ops also had me dropping an infuriating amount today.

      Me also, getting one shotted by assaultron in silos. I have 679 energy resistance aswell.

    Right before the update I was on the fence whether I should buy the electrified or flaming mod for the auto axe after having grinded expeditions for 2-3 hours per day for several days. I got the flaming mod.

    Wow , silver lining, I just switched to carnivore melee build. And my electrified auto axe will be getting put to use with the new power tools card. Remove makeshift rank 5 and add power tools 3 and this rank 2 perk card. Thanks again AT. 👍

    It's just way too random to be intentional, but then again you never know with Bethesda. I do hope they will make the bonus work with all energy weapons across the board. Even heavy weapons, because then you'll have to make a choice between more damage or other heavy weapon related Int perks.

    6 perk point for 30% it should have been 3 perk points for the 30, just like every other damage perk. They should have increased the weapons damage by 30% and forget about changing the perks to add that.

    Thing is the turtle it’s very expensive in a category that you really can’t put it in whether you’re in or out of power arms in power armor you need that category for other shit if you’re not in power armor, you need those points elsewhere for a 30% additive boost that’s only replying to certain portions of your damage It’s way too expensive and as far as the auto ask goes, I just passed this the other day. I actually literally went to the trouble of grinding up a few stamps to buy the rod to put it on an auto ask and found out that even with the energy perks added in sacrificing something unrelated I forget what I sacrifice, but it didn’t have to do with damage the electric all the wax still doesn’t do as much damage, TPS wise as the flaming, dual bar chainsaw, and on top of that, it doesn’t do you know, can’t heal the only real huge case would be if you’re fighting some thing that is resistant to fire, but not resistant to energy, and that doesn’t exist. Anything that has any resistance is almost always has a Deer an ER whether they have a fire or cold poison those are up in the air on some butt but they always have deer near so you’re almost always better off with a dual bar chainsaw with a flaming mod and those cards don’t have any benefit for that weapon

    The thing that apparently no fallout creator will talk about is that this energy weapon buff, for at least the moment, also stacks with the Rifleman/ shotgunner type perks. This is clearly Bethesda's attempt to balance end game weapons to allow players to use something other than 1 of 2 wildly OP weapons.

    I used to love playing Fo76 exploring, grinding, doing events, showing off hard to obtain weapons that deal insane amounts of Dmg. and mindlessly engaging in PVE but after the removal of legacy weapons and the consistent nerfs to everything they let stay it just isn’t as fun anymore.

    The plasma caster does work tho? I've used it before and after the cards and it does increase damage.

    The turtle big thing is OK if you’re using either of the auto answer the chainsaw and you don’t want to repair it every three minutes do you have to have makeshift warrior and or stable tools I tried it with Jeff State, Work tools and it still breaks really quickly it’s not that much better with makeshift warrior alone because it’s only another 10%. I think if I remember right but it seems like with the tool room. It lasted a little longer but it still breaks ridiculously fast. I mean your repairing that weapon at least several times a day if you Jermaine weapon if you’re doing a queen, you’re repairing it a couple times at the queen so even with eight points dedicated to that you still are damn three points dedicated to carrying fusion cars that brings up to 11. It just doesn’t leave a lot of room in any intelligence I mean alternatively, I thought about just caring two identical chainsaws for instants to vampire power tag chainsaws, and yes, if I could ever get lucky enough rolling to get one with breaks 50% slower that might help for Carey to and in the middle of a fight I can just swap instead of having to go repair my chainsaw when it breaks and then after I kill everything, then repair that broken chainsaw but it’s just an incredible pain in the ass all the time repairing that goddamn weapon, it’s the same thing they did when people first started using a Shredder as a Shredder the fucking thing was falling apart All the time and it took on the water year to put it in a patch that fix the durability on it a little bit I mean ironically the Shredder will go days or weeks without needing a repair without anything to keep it together you don’t have to run gunsmith to keep your shredder from breaking And even if it does break on yours it’s so in freak on SNL be a big deal, auto manly weapons no that’s not the case they break a lot at annoying times when you’re surrounded by a bunch of ghouls or some thing getting a radiated and beat up or when you’re grinding on a queen and there’s a bunch of shit around you hitting you and it’s your vampire that’s keeping you alive and now you lose your vampire

    New bug. Condition bar… I crafted a hunting rifle and applied same mod to the one I was trading for and it showed they matched the length of CND bar with same mods applied which mean crafted is maxed and if they match it’s maxed CND how ever after trading for it and applied different mods of the same on both guns some how the traded gun was no longer maxed CND it’s alot less but if I apply certain mods it’s max CND but other mods aren’t I’ve traded for 5 guns now of different ones they all have the same problem if your wondering I’m a maxed CND collector so it’s a big deal to me.
    Another bug - Running - since update when I’m sprinting there’s this lag like small launch then running but it’s smooth it goes back and forth it’s not major but noticeable.
    Another bug - Ultracite Laser Rifle - the gun has lost its animation when firing as its invisible, same thing happens when you shoot anywhere else there no impact effects beside enemies. Then on occasion when shooting a enemy like earl, queen something that not easy to miss if aiming the gun long enough it just randomly move the aim else where like you missing the thing when you been aiming in the same spot.

    You know what I’m skeptical turtle that that’s been properly tested on the gamma gun. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say the gamma gun is only boosted when you put on the mod that gives you energy damage and yes it should not boost the radiation damage because again radiation is a separate damage type Fire damage should not be boosted cryo-damage should not be boosted the reason electrical damage might get wasted and probably should always be boosted is because while it seems like it’s an elemental and falls under energy fire does not fall under energy cryo- does not fall under energy poison does not fall under energy But when they split up all the elements and made them down separate damage types literally created new damage categories. They left electrical damage in the energy category so some thing like the Mr. handy with the electric mod should be boosted for the electric portion but I’m told it’s not. I’ve watched videos I mean I haven’t tested but I’ve been just seeing that it’s not, I’ve never seen anybody demonstrate a temporar Core damag and Setup, which is signal repeater deep dish sharpshooters there’s no energy damage on that weapon at all. It’s ballistic and radiation quite high actually in both categories but you can mark that gun by putting the charging mod on it to add energy damage, no one uses it. That way I mean seriously if you ever seen a showcase video of anybody charging the gamma gun, the God roll damn a gun is a quad faster fire rate and you basically just reload it in and feather the trigger on some thing until it’s dead then you reload a new grandson rupee do you don’t use it in a single fire mode ever nobody does that You Vance unload reload Vance unload over and over again until the gun breaks and I don’t think you’re getting energy damage boost on the ballistic only component you’re getting it when you charge it and it has an energy component I could be wrong I haven’t tested it, but it seems The logical outcome of that either way you never know with Bethesda I mean currently anything that has an anti-armor or an armor ignoring mug can combine additively with the legendary affect anti-armor for anywhere from like 6500 penetration up to 90 arm of penetration, a Powerfist with the puncturing mod add 15% additively to the 50% damn time are you lame 65% without incisor you don’t need incisor to get almost exactly the same overtime which obviously freeze up three points and Frank for something else

    How come heavy guns keep getting shafted? Can’t believe it doesn’t work on any heavy guns, I was excited to try it out on my heavy guns and change up my build but I guess not. Was hoping to finally do some actual damage with the Gatling laser :/ gauss minigun needs a buff or at least add the hex barrel mod in finally then It mite actually be worth using if it wasn’t for the ammo, They lag behind, minigun feels like a BB gun, maybe a ammo charger mod for it to help the damage or a barrel change that does more damage but the whined up is longer, like a intermeshing barrel or tandem barrel like helicopters have for their rotor blades, and the Gatling gun should be able to fire faster atleast 50% faster

    For a long time my quad firerate single shot alien disintigrator has needed two shots to kill most enemies. I'm not done testing, but between this and the gun fu change, it looks promising for farming crowds of enemies. I can oneshot lower level mutants without gun fu now, but I'll need to see what i need in order to do that to level 100s. Might also need sandman or consumables especially since gun fu is hard to stack. Gauss rifles can do lots of damage, and other rifles can be good especially with instigating, but the qffr alien gets better firerate and ammo capacity so I'm trying with that. It's a shame i have grounded mutation, that could help too but I'm not gonna fix it.

      I could check if I happen to see the serum in a camp to see whether the exact debuff matches.

      Correction; Turtle's old video says that sandman does nothing as alien disintegrator is not silenced even though it is silent. So maybe I will increase adrenaline as I have not maxed that yet.

    I should say, though that you’re better off using incisor and putting the flaming mod the fire mod on your power, first they will do more damage than having an anti-armor puncturing Powerfist, but at the same time foundation, Grano is king in most situations, so there’s no rhyme or reason anything Bethesda does and now there’s a third-party during all of it and I think they’re fucking clueless Bethesda was a little clueless but now they handed it off to someone else who is even more clueless it’ll take them several more years to get up to speed on how this game works.

    Can you please help me. Can you confirm if the 40% more power attack is working on the chainsaw and auto axe now? Im going to spam roll for a g roll and I was wondering if it works. Also, does the 40% less damage while power attacking work?
    If I use both the makeshift warrior perk plus the stable tools cark, do they both stack with one another?

    Welp. Time to go back to punching stuff while it randomly explodes. Really wanted it to benefit the settler gauntlet with electric mod. Then again, I’m somewhat disappointed with the gauntlet that it’s not like the industrial hand from NV.

    I dont like the range chnge with the gauss shotty or the change to gat plas . Weapon damages go up and down so often especially with heavy energy guns when i get back playing again ill just stick with my trusty tse 50 cal .

      Yeah it's a heavy gun so it won't benefit. Flamers don't need a damage boost anyway. They are already the strongest heavy gun in the game.

    are you gonna inspect stable tools next? it´s seems really pointless as is with makeshift warrior 3 being 50% with stable tools 3 being 40%
    and how do they stack? can you get 100% with no weapon degrading?

    Im using a god roll alien blaster (2 shots, 50% crit dmg, -25% ap cost) as a main weapon. you think its worth using scince perk cards? people are telling me is not worth the cost

    Dont use your stamps yet,theres a bug allowing you to buy plans but then you cant craft the item as if you never learnt it,also it's stopping people been able to craft things they already knew

    until they fix HIGH VOLTAGE because the cards work the same as high voltage it sucks as energy heavy guns are underpowered apart from the plasma caster

    Brian, just a second which shotgun are you talking about that has energy damage on it that would be classed as an energy weapon because I’m pretty sure for instance I wanna go shotgun the only person that is affected by those per cards is the charged portion of the damage the explosive damage the majority of the damage when you just pull the trigger and don’t charge it up it’s almost all explosive I guarantee that’s not getting affected by those brokers department. Is this the little bit of charge damage that you really can’t avoid in the prairie Jew squeeze the trigger you get a little charge damage your the human finger just doesn’t operate quickly enough not to get some charge damage and the charge damage is energy. That’s the extra energy from the gas you’re charging up the weapons towards full power which means the expenditure of energy goes up top golf weapons work they expend energy to propel oh Projectile with magnets, electromagnets propel those metal projectiles down to the tubes using energy we don’t use the weapon that way, though we use the explosive portion of it which to be fair in real life is depending on how fast the projectile goes the faster the the projectile, the more explosive energy comes out of it in the game. It’s not realistic and it doesn’t follow physics, but I think you’ll find that that damage boost when you just squeeze the trigger quick and let go is minimal it’s not fully 10% or 30% or how many report cards it’s minimal but if you charge it completely charge it before releasing this ad it will be a full 30% damage boost, I have not tested this either. This is just my theory crafting but I’m pretty sure that’s what’s going on there with any of the golf weapons and wall the golf rifle you you obviously would always I mean almost always charge that I would think I haven’t used one since I started playing, but I would think that anybody trying to be a God sniper would be charging all the time so will be most beneficial they’re buying a shotgun we don’t use them. That way we put on demo expert and grenadier or if you really just don’t like the gigantic blast radius blurring your vision you really don’t need grenadier the best way to use that weapon right now is the Vance squeeze the trigger Vance squeeze the trigger and and now you’re gonna get one or two Chantels on everything

    TBH nothing works.
    Science card are still only worth to equip when you need them for crafting, the 3×10% damage increase is laughtable low and for 6 points 🤦
    Maybe if they where mixed together into two cards each costing 1 point maybe then we can talk about them being worth a little.

    I’m sorry, but that auto answer to electric mod just doesn’t seem to be the most powerful to me. I tested the Dilbar framer against it the other day and I was home. It was completely obvious which one was burning down shit faster. There was no comparison and I I tested it against things with electric or energy resistance, and things without any resistance.
