I like that point system suggestion. Trade masks, gain points, and select to get a random mask of chosen tier. Higher tiers cost more of course. Donation box that is a free for all will always be dominated by greed.
Honestly I'm hoping that they start just doing the random one throughout the year have that and just have the holiday primary ones for the holidays so throughout the year we can actually do all of them multiple times
I think they should add a vendor or another method of approach to get the masks, those drop rates are abysmal. I also am (probably) in the minority of people that don't like AFKing. I'm not militant about it or anything, sometimes RL gets in the way and you have to step away and don't want to miss the hourly giant mask you'll be receiving but leaving yourself setup for hours and hours letting other people do the work for you isn't right. It's a video game so it is whatever, but it's annoying. Frequent map changes tend to give me crashes so map hopping to find people bothering to actually help the event rather than mooch can directly cause me to miss the event. I've been running the event since it dropped and spent an entire weekend running it every hour from about 10am until Midnight and there was always at least 3 afk min, and usually six or more. I think if they made the masks a bit more straightforward to get, it would sort out the afk nonsense though. I've ran the event hundreds of times and have yet to get a glowing mask, but I will at least have a huge amount of the basic masks to put in my vendor on the cheap for newer players.
i just watch vid and it said the drop rate for rare mask has gone down to 0.24% chance. I feel blessed i have got the glowing robot and the normal one. Good luck for later mr wt.
Im not gonna lie i would really love to see love to see a random update that would make it soo now all the vultures time locked from the box or all there vulture loot taken. Im level 170 an i saw some low levels my mind said lets put some usefull stuff in here for them all for this 700 to nab it an i just think those type players make these fun cooperative events annoying an aggravating i found one donation box that wasn't gobbled up. So i took it on my self to nab all the masks an give them away to lower level players. I am the walking dontion box

Fasnacht should run every 30 mins, servers would struggle but people wouldn't mind as much if they were given more of a chance, it's so disheartening to wait an entire hour just to get your 3rd Toothy Man Mask

I think the donation should be locked to masks only. However, the game tracks which masks you have. And you can only take masks you don’t have out of the donation box.
People would probably just offload the dupes to their mule characters. Honestly most of the solutions they could implement would end up with ppl finding workarounds. Personally, though , I think the donation box is fine. I usually wait for the crasyness to die down, then I add all my AFK dupe masks once the dust has settled and they usually are gone the next time I come back... I feel it would be pretty easy for someone to complete their full common collection using only the donation box... But I personally never saw a rare mask inside the donation box...

I counted ten afk people on one server. That was all I just counted while running. I failed two events on two separate servers cause it was me and one other person trying to complete it for everyone.
Speaking to the AFK, I was in a server with 18 people at the event and 13 were AFK. I have seen in every server at least 6 AFK. To be honest I can't AFK bc my PS5 errors and I dont get to much more than one hour.
I've noticed the "Vultures" as well. It's a sad state of affairs. I've ran probably 35ish events and haven't gotten the 1 thing that I want, hahaha, the butter churn. Some glowing or new masks would be cool, but I'm indifferent to most of them. I also wish they would remove the AFK spot, or find a way to kick them from events. For me, it's not about stealing, it's about participating. Yesterday I had 2 different events fail and not get rewards because it was only myself and 1 level under 50 doing the event. It said there were 8-10 people at both events, but they certainly weren't participating.

I got two glowing masks after just getting jesters and barrett's every time I played, so always hang in there because your look could change in a heartbeat. One of the glowing masks didnt show in my inventory until I fast traveled to my camp after the event, then I looked and had the glowing robot which is probably the least cool looking one in the game imho, because it doesnt have that much glowing parts on it, but I still wear it with pride every day.
Happens when large amounts of players are in an area. Something to do with lag. I just don't expell my ap until around two seconds before hitting the ground to cushion the fall. It doesn't always work, but it helps when you get used to it
There's only been one incident with people AFKing on the musical instruments that effected the event. All seats were taken and the event asked to paticipate with music. Well, the bar filled, but then stopped just before maxing out. This basically prevented the event from progressing.. I don't know what happened in the end because I didn't stick around. For the first time ever I saw the countdown get into the teens before I switched servers.
I disagree. I think people attack AFKers not because they feel like their drop rates are being affected or they are being stolen from, its just the blatant fact they are freeloading off the event for the rewards and they are not expending any resources yet still get the rewards. Its like when you go to work and you see the lazy guy who does nothing yet still gets paid at the end of the week..ya dig?
I dig, and while you are correct, there are also people who think that AFKers are stealing from them. In order for someone to have stolen from you, you have to have lost something. If you did not, then it is not theft. Similarly, if there are 5 people running the event and 10 people AFK then those 10 people weren’t going to run the event anyway. You still only have 5 people running the event, and those 5 people would get the exact same rewards. So AFKers are not only not affecting your outcome, they are not affected by your emotions toward them. You’re just expending emotion for no reason. The idea that you have been wronged is entirely in your own mind, which means you can choose to feel differently.
The high level thing would suck since this is my very first time playing this event and ive been in a couple of different lobbys where people were dropping tins of old masks in the box and i was able to one of each and have even put in my multiple ones too
first event and im like 200-206, im still learning tonnes about this game so 200 means nothing, considering i got there in like 5 weeks, im still fresh. i think that level idea might have been the most bs one of them all, level 51 is NOT level 1723
The people going AFK 24\7 must have some good internet because when I do it for an hour or two (while making dinner) I come back to "Disconnected from Server" half the time.
That means that the server you were on got taken down for maintenance. It happens to me too. Have you ever been playing and you get the popup with the 30 minute countdown? It’s that.
80+ runs in the first week and all I got was 1 glowing mask. No other glowing or rares. I DID get the Helvetia flower display, vegetable man stein, butter churn, and all the bells. Had to buy the actual bell display from someone’s vendor, though. If I get witch or blue devil one more time I’m gonna scream 😂
IMO it’s the lamest event in the game. Nothing but lobbies filled with half the people afk’ing “BeCauSe I haz jOb”. And then double down because it’s easy and one person can complete it. Yeah but what about every other event in the lobby that barely has anybody there because the lames are all sitting and spinning in some church tower in their underwear. That’s fine I just nuke it. Over and over and over.
I like the new masks, the collection box was a great idea until the turds of Appalachia came to exploit it. AFK away I say. I've soloed the event and it was fine. I get to play an event I enjoy just a little longer, and it's nice not having nukes go off all over the place while running it.
Look when u have to play none stop for the entire run of the event an can't get anything rare or cool I don't think people would afk. I work for a living an have a family. I can't sit all day an night to get crap. Yes sometimes I afk mainly for the cores. I haven't got crap. I keep getting the soldiers mask.
Faschnat will come again and you'll still have almost zero chance of getting a rare mask. I've done about 40 events and have 3 turkeys. I haven't gotten any other new mask or any rare ones at all. They've made my favorite game no fun and impossible to get decent rewards. Even just playing isn't fun anymore, and it should be. Map expansion and new boss and I can't make myself play after dailies are done. Thinking of canceling my 1st. I mean the scoreboard is a waste. The only good thing is the new rv. Haha. Vulture's is 100% correct. I've been watching high-level players stand next to the donation box and wait. If anyone puts something into the box the high-level players rush to empty the box. Bethesda needs to put a level cap on the box. Level 50 to 100 IMO. People should be ashamed of themselves.

There's a holotape in the shed on the main road that has the weapon bench that leaves the possibility of off season fasnacht celebrations open. Basically they programmed the robots to decide when to celebrate fasnacht in hopes of getting more tourists to come to their town. HOWEVER "don't come to me if the robots decide to throw a party every day until the end of the world." Loooooooooooool CHAAARRRLIIEEEEEE!!!!! Also what's more annoying than the odds is that my favorite camp spot for Fasnacht has been wiped out. Bathesda increased the no build zone around Helvetia. So now I cannot build in the event zone. Last Fasnacht was my first. I was able to make my camp partly overlapping the event zone. So I built a nice little deck with instruments for people to sit on with missile turrets pointing across the river at the nearby scorched spawn point to catch them and any stray radtoads. I also put up extra food and alcohol and half price resources and steeply discounted plans. I made a ton of caps while I was AFKing the event because my shop was open there. I can still AFK the event but from just outside my camp. :( I'm really annoyed about it. That spot was PERFECT for hosting company for Fasnacht. I even had some food and water available for free as a form of "southern" hospitality. (aka virtual south in a game). I may have been AFKing, but I was not doing nothing for the game because I was supporting the players who were both running and AFKing the event.
First time Fasnacht-er. The event was SO hyped leading up to it. I ran my first few and was like “This is what everyone was raving about!?” It’s incredibly boring. I can’t imagine how slow the bots were before if they were sped up this year. Per usual, the Cremator gang ruin the event for everyone with their blinding explosions and one-shoting everything. I don’t even waste ammo on this event anymore. Everyone runs to the spawns and tries to be the first one to kill something. I don’t even see the final boss anymore because the high levels camp the spawn and kill it within 3 seconds even before it has a chance to come out from behind the shed. AFKers? Couldn’t care less. The donation box is indeed a joke, so I don’t use it. I find low levels at my camp to drop masks to. Bethesda seems unable to capture what makes our favorite events fun and using a recipe for creating new events with those things in mind. Astounding.
Limiting high player lvl from taking from the donation box is irrelevant. You can be high lvl player and have limited times to play. Therefore those high lvl player will still rely on donation to collect all the masks they want. You can be a low lvl player but grind the event all day. What they can do is limit how many items you can take from the donation box per hours. If everyone is limit to and can only take 1 item from the donation box per hour, they'll be more considerate on what they take and not just take everything.
I agree. My main is just above lvl 700 & I own zero rare masks. I don’t afk or have the time to ditch my other responsibilities for extra game time because there’s an event on. That being said, I’ve run this event many many times, it’s always a beret or sun mask for me, lol. I don’t even bother putting them in my vendor anymore, I had masks for 5 caps sitting for weeks!
Being a newer player myself start about mid way last season I have been able to get some stuff from the box only taking one of there are multiple. At the end of the event I don’t even bother going to the box. I will say I did find the overseers donation box full of mask so if you wanna drop yours I would go there. Not a lot of people go there after I usually go to strap and box my stuff. Also I have to sit back during the event because my Xbox for some reason can not handle it it’s hella old but I can normally do the beginning and the end so I’m not like fully AFKing.
I did 20 of the events normally. Wasting all my ammo for dups and nothing good. I don’t see the hate of 80% of the players being AFK. I joined the team now. Why waste all your ammo for the shittiest drop rates I’ve ever seen when plus level 800 players spam nukes nonstop killing everything anyways? So sorry I’m not marching with the slow ass robots for the 100th time for a jester mask.
I’m genuinely so unreasonably sad over something that should just be fun (and still is, amidst the multi-flavored disappointment) BECAUSE of how much I, as a new player experiencing his first-ever Fasnacht, have had to discover the true, unfiltered elitism that lurks in the community through this event. Personally, I don’t care about the value of things very much. I never sell anything in my own shop for a price that’s over the suggested price, honestly it’s usually lower unless I personally worked hard for it, but I don’t like to go over 1k caps for a single item it feels barbaric. I hate how badly I want the glowing unicorn mask because of how weird people are being about it, I just wanted to wear it because I love how it looks and already had an affinity for wearing all of the different animal masks. I can’t get a single glowing mask at all and it’s killing me, and I just know I’ll never be able to find one in a shop because of, again, how absolutely weird people are being over the rare masks. I’ve never seen people be this awful weird over anything in the game before, and I just don’t know how to combat my own bad luck. I just know I’ll have to find a way to do so because it’s gonna be my only hope 😅
I actually saw something worse than AFKing (don't really care much for it myself, but it is annoying if I happen to do all the tasks myself just to get another non-rare dupe when there were so many other players that could've helped), and that's when there was someone who was almost 1000 in level was running around with an alt account that's like level 60 and sent a friend request to everyone on the server using that smurf account (I know because I was playing with a friend and she got the friend request too) then started to server hop just to do that to other players. Then he started to ask in a very cringe voice that's the mix of a furry and a child "Excwuse mwe, do wou hab any gwoing masks I can hwave?" on the 60 alt account. He was also playing on his main in his regular voice so anyone could've thought they were two separate players. I didn't know it was the same player as the one who was almost level 1000... until he made that voice and said the same thing on his main account then went "Oops." The moment I saw that was the moment I thought "Wow... If vulturing over the donation box is the bottom of the barrel, this guy just drilled right through it and even deeper." Seriously, just leeching off of people's kindness like that is a new low. I didn't give him anything though, especially because I had no glowing masks to give. I do have a Deathclaw mask though and I'm keeping that~
Hey guys, love your channel and content. I've only gotten one rare mask (glowing robot) but I did FINALLY get one that I've been wanting forever... Father Winter PA Helmet. I would love to see a way to trade in X amount of common to get an uncommon mask, or X many uncommon to get a rare mask... but I would like to choose the rare mask. I personally will be AFK when I am not able to play but I do tend to run the event at least 5 times daily.
I don't like the glowing variants and I am not putting them in a box for some other high level player to turn around and sell it. So $1,000 caps for each it is. 'Finding a low level player' is great if you KNOW they aren't on their 8th account. I'm gonna focus my time playing and not hunting for ways to feel nice.
With AFKing it (about 50% of the time), i participate in around 15 runs a day, after 5 days that's around 80 runs. One rare mask and that was a duplicate. I don't use the donation box, instead i drop masks & plans into the mailbox outside the Post Office.
😂😂 the donation box is great but it has become a problem with players who just (collect all) the entire time without giving others a chance. Reminds me of the seagulls in Finding Nemo. "Mine, mine, mine, mine!
Nice vid guys, thanks, I don’t agree with afk, as you’re getting rewarded for not helping, so no from me, in terms of the donation box, it’s pointless, all of your ideas for this were on point, I’ve given away dupes, I’ve also sold dupes rather than trying to locate low levels that perhaps need them, I’ve found one rare glowie in the scorchbeast mask but really want the rare glowie alien, I’m hoping to get it before this ends, but not holding out much hope of that. If anyone wants to swap a glowie scorch for a glowie alien, please let me know. Thanks.
Greed aside because well it's quite prevalent.. there's no stopping someone from playing how they like to. Like those who afk events, there's no stopping or regulating it. Christ you have folks hoping to max the opportunity to get masks and plans. I think this is why people spite nuke the event because it's largely toxic. But again all is fair as it is in the user parameters to play as you wish. So weather you have sour grapes on how someone chooses to play or not, in the end it's just a game! There's no need to get butt hurt over how one chooses to play. Also look at it like this and the game of D&D you have murder hobos the greed and afk players are basically the same thing, well that's just my opinion. 😂
im lvl 200 something, this is my first fastnacht.. It's fun to get some masks as a reward but i hate the donation box. every time i go to have a look.. as soon as people put something in the entire content will be looted at once, you don't even get time to see whats being put in.. it's just gone immediately.. and yes they usually are lvl 600 or up. Then i noticed AFK players.. just standing at the loot box or at the church so they will get the event rewards even when not playing.. i got so annoyed when i noticed multiple players standing there i just went to nuke silo charlie and dropped a nuke on fastnacht. So annoying.
Been AFKing overnight on three clients and throwing dupes in the donation box while nobody is lurking. Dupes and megalonyx torsos. Have seen a Behemoth boss but not a Grafton monster.
i agree with you on everything until 15:45, for all the times you haven't seen it, i have, i just woke up in a dead server, i came across 12 people afk in a server last night, anyone active had left.. so while yeah 23v1 is probably rare, cases just as fkd exist all too common.
The AFKing is out of hand and is making it hard to do some of the other events between Fasnacht since they are occupying active player spots. Or some aren't fully AFK but will during the event then run out of some houses corner to the box afterwards for their free junk. F this events design and the communities behavior around it. Seen more nukes dropped there then for any of the bosses this week as well. Just wtf.
The 1-off thing you refer to was an April fools surprise week. Edit : donation box fix; implement a tagged item system were once an item enters the box it's tagged "unsellable"
Fake hype around an event that no one can tell me why they are excited for it results in people willing to pay higher prices. High prices attract those that want to make money. Fake hype causes fear of missing out. The players didn't do this, Bethesda did this. This idea that only low levels should get the extra masks is beyond me. That's not how the world works at all. If they are put into an open box, you really cannot blame anyone that uses the open box to try and flip items. Should the players that don't know the value of a plan trolled because they are selling it for far too cheap allowing anyone that comes across it to buy it and sell it at a much higher price? Nah. If you don't want people that don't 'deserve' your extras, do what you want with it. How about leave everyone else alone
This is probably one of the worst events in this game to me. I think most these new mask should of been added to other events if you even want to get 1 Glowing you're definitely dealing with a 0.02% an realistically you're gonna get only 1 or 2 rares or none depending on you're luck. It is a pain even if you do afk. Should be a mechanic tide to the event just to have a chance at getting a rare an all 5 robots alive is obviously not even working I have done several of this event over the years an I can definitely tell you I have only gotten ether 0 - 2 masks an I only have 7 rares. An good luck trying to find someone on discord the only way you're getting the mask you want is a asylum red dress or another glowing. Hope you all got some good masks but this event just takes alot out of you had to get this off my chest anyway have a good rest of you're day of night. :3
There is a TON of AFK on xbox. Per server switch, there is at least 5+ AFK. It's fine to me, because if there is too many, just join a new server after the event like you mentioned.
I definitely disagree with afking, it is not fair that you should get rewards for doing nothing. I have had events fail because most of the people there are afking. I find the worst time for this is at night especially during the week. I work 12 hour days so come home and try to do it at least 3 times and it is so disappointing to have it fail because people are are not contributing. My experience is like 3 or 5 people playing and 15-18 people afk. I understand everyone wants the rewards but it really makes it unfun when you are playing the game so freeloaders can get rewards. Bethesda just needs to change either the drop rate or how rewards are distributed for his event so this is not a thing and people will actually play and have fun with it.
This is my very first time playing Fasnacht and I think people are upset with me when I look in the box but I still need almost all the masks I can’t get anything out of the box without people camping the box it’s so bad I’ve been expermenting by putting hundreds of pounds of boiled water in the box and it always disappears within half a second of it going into the box
Good suggestion with the level cap. However too many high level players would just use a level 1 alt/mule. i drop in a ton of useless misc/holotapes/plans. Enough so its just irritating to have to sort through.
It isnt fair because some people put in effort and others can go and get the rewards with no effort its like working a job and doing all the work and your co-worker gets paid and praised for your job, Also its complete bullcrap the job excuse because we had a dude afk and he was literally there doing nothing because somebody might have aggroed a scorch and brought them over to them and when they got shot after a while the guy came back and killed the scorch and went afk again I gave alot of duplicates away to some nice dude that stopped off at my base and was asking about my glowing robot mask so i thought i would help him out also he dropped me a few masks i didnt have too Maybe Toxic but i am getting aggro on scorch near the place and bringing them to other players that are afk that can be got at if they want to get free stuff at least they will die for it hopefully
I gave up screwing with the Fasnacht event and getting a useless mask that does absolutely nothing... and now just use the event as a target for Nuking. So far I have managed to Nuke 10 afkers at once... still trying to see how many I can get at once.
The afking issue is 100% Bethesdas fault. They need to add the daily ops elder reward system so duplicates won’t be and issue giving you a higher chance of getting a new mask or plans
Its just based on rng, theirs no tips, afk or doing the event doesnt affect the awards. I literally just got a glowing turkey as i stood watching everyone else do the event while my food cooked. Robot gets destroyed youre better off finding another server or your getting shit rewards. Plus the whole afk conservancy honestly who cares some people have time and some dont.
😂 I’m a new player for fallout n tbh so many restrictions and stuff with stash there’s almost no point goin hard for stuff in these events I don’t have the room and most of my stash is literally apparel and plans I have all my weapons on me it gets to the point as a new player if you come from any grinding game (Warframe) that I actually was grinding too fast on fallout and hit with restrictions till the next day it’s a unsynergetic way to farm things reprehensible drop rates are so low in rng exactly like the game I come from. also the greed and afk players that are high level in this event has really turned me off and I’ve crept back to my old grind game
I have the butter churn , glowing alien , glowing unicorn and glowing SBQ along with various crud . lol , the bosses still get nuked instantly regardless of what they are.
i personally come prepared with everything needed to activate the protrectrons but i afk the march itself, it's still too slow and the most boring part of the event. and yeah i once donated a mask to the box and a lvl 4000+ snatched it in like a second. i'll just drop the masks i already have to low levels after the event ends
It's not just high levels hovering around the donation box. Players of all levels scoop up everything they can to sell in their vendors for play money. The donation box is a pointless addition.
I know the drop rates suck, but let's be honest that we have hardly any rare items in fallout. Most of us by now have plenty of rare plans and apparel and if we made the glowing masks easy to obtain for everyone, that rare value would be lost.
5:00 420 is sadly not the total number of runs to get all the rare masks, not even close. 420 is only the number of runs to get the LAST (21st) rare mask after you've got the other 20. You need to add the number of runs to get the 20th, 19th, 18th, all the way to the 1st rare mask. And all their numbers are different too, with the 1st the easiest to get and requiring the least runs, and the 21st the hardest and requiring the most runs. If you add them all up, it's 1536 runs, which is way more than the 336 times the event occurs (24 times per day times 14 days). This is why so many people are still playing Fasnacht after 5 years, because a majority of them still haven't all the masks.
I afk when im doing something in real lifea nd go full bore being as helpful as i can when im not. I still cant run every ine but ive got plenty of good ones and one new rare one. Message lower level players and hand them the mask directly is the move. Afk is good but make sure youre carrying the load at least a few times ya know?
The drop rates are ridiculous now. I dont mind some RNG but its just not fun at all when I got FOUR WITCH MASKS IN A ROW TODAY. I start my AFK attempts tomorrow from my camp in the event radius
i have had several times that i was running Fasnacht and realized i was the only person out of over 10 that was not AFK. when that happens i just go to another server. i also barely think Fasnacht worth doing with the low rate of return. about all i get is common plans and masks.
i ran soooooo many fasnachts, i got no rares, a crap ton of "uncommon" masks so many so that i was donating them in the box and only keeping one for myself, and a few common ones from previous events. got many many more of the uncommon. kinda disappointed, i wanted the glowing alien mask its not even popular either. maybe next time i guess
Hello love your content !! . But I want to give another angle on high level players taken from the donation box. High level is subjective, what level do we consider high level. Above 50 , 500. I’m at level 524 been playing for a little over a year and because of work schedules and other factors this is my first Fasnacht event that I was able to play. I didn’t have any mask before this past week. I have gotten the thumbs down and Angry emotes. But no way to tell them that just because I’m at 500 + doesn’t mean i have that mask. AFK is increasing as the event goes on. I have been in a number of servers that are 6+ people AFK and hardly anyone actually running the event. Typically always people over level 500 who are selling the masks at excessive prices at their camps. I don't mind an AFK player here and there, but this is beyond just toxic. Which is really sad since the PC community is usually so much nicer than the console communities. 🤷
To be honest I don't have any interest in the Fasnacht event, I played it when it was in the game a few months ago and received the Fasnacht beret many times (I had a lot by the end). I'm thinking if I don't play I won't be disappointed with not getting masks😄
I put spoiled meat in there for them to spam the box lol. Especially if I see someone just crouching over there to just hoard it. It isn't like they need it to complete a collection. Or a one star heavy power armor or weapon just to weight them down.

I like that point system suggestion. Trade masks, gain points, and select to get a random mask of chosen tier. Higher tiers cost more of course. Donation box that is a free for all will always be dominated by greed.

Honestly I'm hoping that they start just doing the random one throughout the year have that and just have the holiday primary ones for the holidays so throughout the year we can actually do all of them multiple times
I think they should add a vendor or another method of approach to get the masks, those drop rates are abysmal. I also am (probably) in the minority of people that don't like AFKing. I'm not militant about it or anything, sometimes RL gets in the way and you have to step away and don't want to miss the hourly giant mask you'll be receiving but leaving yourself setup for hours and hours letting other people do the work for you isn't right. It's a video game so it is whatever, but it's annoying. Frequent map changes tend to give me crashes so map hopping to find people bothering to actually help the event rather than mooch can directly cause me to miss the event. I've been running the event since it dropped and spent an entire weekend running it every hour from about 10am until Midnight and there was always at least 3 afk min, and usually six or more. I think if they made the masks a bit more straightforward to get, it would sort out the afk nonsense though. I've ran the event hundreds of times and have yet to get a glowing mask, but I will at least have a huge amount of the basic masks to put in my vendor on the cheap for newer players.

Im not gonna lie i would really love to see love to see a random update that would make it soo now all the vultures time locked from the box or all there vulture loot taken. Im level 170 an i saw some low levels my mind said lets put some usefull stuff in here for them all for this 700 to nab it an i just think those type players make these fun cooperative events annoying an aggravating i found one donation box that wasn't gobbled up. So i took it on my self to nab all the masks an give them away to lower level players. I am the walking dontion box

I think the donation should be locked to masks only. However, the game tracks which masks you have. And you can only take masks you don’t have out of the donation box.
I love this idea. Makes sense and is fair so people can't grab repeats of the rare masks to sell.

People would probably just offload the dupes to their mule characters. Honestly most of the solutions they could implement would end up with ppl finding workarounds. Personally, though , I think the donation box is fine. I usually wait for the crasyness to die down, then I add all my AFK dupe masks once the dust has settled and they usually are gone the next time I come back... I feel it would be pretty easy for someone to complete their full common collection using only the donation box... But I personally never saw a rare mask inside the donation box...
I have done so many fasnacht events with no rare masks but I have 2 friends that have gotten 3 rare masks each…

I counted ten afk people on one server. That was all I just counted while running. I failed two events on two separate servers cause it was me and one other person trying to complete it for everyone.
If you are out of fuel but have friendly fire just slap the robots with the flame weapon still works to heal them

Speaking to the AFK, I was in a server with 18 people at the event and 13 were AFK. I have seen in every server at least 6 AFK. To be honest I can't AFK bc my PS5 errors and I dont get to much more than one hour.
I've noticed the "Vultures" as well. It's a sad state of affairs. I've ran probably 35ish events and haven't gotten the 1 thing that I want, hahaha, the butter churn. Some glowing or new masks would be cool, but I'm indifferent to most of them. I also wish they would remove the AFK spot, or find a way to kick them from events. For me, it's not about stealing, it's about participating. Yesterday I had 2 different events fail and not get rewards because it was only myself and 1 level under 50 doing the event. It said there were 8-10 people at both events, but they certainly weren't participating.
I wish the math actually worked out like this in practice. 122 masks and one rare out of the lot.

I got two glowing masks after just getting jesters and barrett's every time I played, so always hang in there because your look could change in a heartbeat. One of the glowing masks didnt show in my inventory until I fast traveled to my camp after the event, then I looked and had the glowing robot which is probably the least cool looking one in the game imho, because it doesnt have that much glowing parts on it, but I still wear it with pride every day.

Happens when large amounts of players are in an area. Something to do with lag. I just don't expell my ap until around two seconds before hitting the ground to cushion the fall. It doesn't always work, but it helps when you get used to it

There's only been one incident with people AFKing on the musical instruments that effected the event. All seats were taken and the event asked to paticipate with music. Well, the bar filled, but then stopped just before maxing out. This basically prevented the event from progressing.. I don't know what happened in the end because I didn't stick around. For the first time ever I saw the countdown get into the teens before I switched servers.
I disagree. I think people attack AFKers not because they feel like their drop rates are being affected or they are being stolen from, its just the blatant fact they are freeloading off the event for the rewards and they are not expending any resources yet still get the rewards. Its like when you go to work and you see the lazy guy who does nothing yet still gets paid at the end of the week..ya dig?
I dig, and while you are correct, there are also people who think that AFKers are stealing from them. In order for someone to have stolen from you, you have to have lost something. If you did not, then it is not theft. Similarly, if there are 5 people running the event and 10 people AFK then those 10 people weren’t going to run the event anyway. You still only have 5 people running the event, and those 5 people would get the exact same rewards. So AFKers are not only not affecting your outcome, they are not affected by your emotions toward them. You’re just expending emotion for no reason. The idea that you have been wronged is entirely in your own mind, which means you can choose to feel differently.

The high level thing would suck since this is my very first time playing this event and ive been in a couple of different lobbys where people were dropping tins of old masks in the box and i was able to one of each and have even put in my multiple ones too
first event and im like 200-206, im still learning tonnes about this game so 200 means nothing, considering i got there in like 5 weeks, im still fresh. i think that level idea might have been the most bs one of them all, level 51 is NOT level 1723

The people going AFK 24\7 must have some good internet because when I do it for an hour or two (while making dinner) I come back to "Disconnected from Server" half the time.
That means that the server you were on got taken down for maintenance. It happens to me too. Have you ever been playing and you get the popup with the 30 minute countdown? It’s that.
I've had two situations that I've played the event solo with nine or more afk individuals.
80+ runs in the first week and all I got was 1 glowing mask. No other glowing or rares. I DID get the Helvetia flower display, vegetable man stein, butter churn, and all the bells. Had to buy the actual bell display from someone’s vendor, though. If I get witch or blue devil one more time I’m gonna scream 😂
IMO it’s the lamest event in the game. Nothing but lobbies filled with half the people afk’ing “BeCauSe I haz jOb”. And then double down because it’s easy and one person can complete it. Yeah but what about every other event in the lobby that barely has anybody there because the lames are all sitting and spinning in some church tower in their underwear. That’s fine I just nuke it. Over and over and over.
I like the new masks, the collection box was a great idea until the turds of Appalachia came to exploit it. AFK away I say. I've soloed the event and it was fine. I get to play an event I enjoy just a little longer, and it's nice not having nukes go off all over the place while running it.

I can't sit all day an night to get crap. Yes sometimes I afk mainly for the cores. I haven't got crap. I keep getting the soldiers mask.

Faschnat will come again and you'll still have almost zero chance of getting a rare mask. I've done about 40 events and have 3 turkeys. I haven't gotten any other new mask or any rare ones at all. They've made my favorite game no fun and impossible to get decent rewards. Even just playing isn't fun anymore, and it should be. Map expansion and new boss and I can't make myself play after dailies are done. Thinking of canceling my 1st. I mean the scoreboard is a waste. The only good thing is the new rv. Bethesda needs to put a level cap on the box. Level 50 to 100 IMO. People should be ashamed of themselves.

There's a holotape in the shed on the main road that has the weapon bench that leaves the possibility of off season fasnacht celebrations open. Basically they programmed the robots to decide when to celebrate fasnacht in hopes of getting more tourists to come to their town. HOWEVER "don't come to me if the robots decide to throw a party every day until the end of the world."

Also what's more annoying than the odds is that my favorite camp spot for Fasnacht has been wiped out. Bathesda increased the no build zone around Helvetia. So now I cannot build in the event zone. Last Fasnacht was my first. I was able to make my camp partly overlapping the event zone. So I built a nice little deck with instruments for people to sit on with missile turrets pointing across the river at the nearby scorched spawn point to catch them and any stray radtoads. I also put up extra food and alcohol and half price resources and steeply discounted plans. I made a ton of caps while I was AFKing the event because my shop was open there. I can still AFK the event but from just outside my camp. :( I'm really annoyed about it. That spot was PERFECT for hosting company for Fasnacht. I even had some food and water available for free as a form of "southern" hospitality. (aka virtual south in a game). I may have been AFKing, but I was not doing nothing for the game because I was supporting the players who were both running and AFKing the event.

First time Fasnacht-er. The event was SO hyped leading up to it. I ran my first few and was like
“This is what everyone was raving about!?”
It’s incredibly boring. I can’t imagine how slow the bots were before if they were sped up this year. Per usual, the Cremator gang ruin the event for everyone with their blinding explosions and one-shoting everything. I don’t even waste ammo on this event anymore. Everyone runs to the spawns and tries to be the first one to kill something. I don’t even see the final boss anymore because the high levels camp the spawn and kill it within 3 seconds even before it has a chance to come out from behind the shed.

Bethesda seems unable to capture what makes our favorite events fun and using a recipe for creating new events with those things in mind. Astounding.
bethesda doesnt care about anything other than microtransations.
Limiting high player lvl from taking from the donation box is irrelevant. You can be high lvl player and have limited times to play. Therefore those high lvl player will still rely on donation to collect all the masks they want. You can be a low lvl player but grind the event all day.
What they can do is limit how many items you can take from the donation box per hours. If everyone is limit to and can only take 1 item from the donation box per hour, they'll be more considerate on what they take and not just take everything.
I agree. My main is just above lvl 700 & I own zero rare masks. I don’t afk or have the time to ditch my other responsibilities for extra game time because there’s an event on. That being said, I’ve run this event many many times, it’s always a beret or sun mask for me, lol. I don’t even bother putting them in my vendor anymore, I had masks for 5 caps sitting for weeks!

Being a newer player myself start about mid way last season I have been able to get some stuff from the box only taking one of there are multiple. At the end of the event I don’t even bother going to the box. I will say I did find the overseers donation box full of mask so if you wanna drop yours I would go there. Not a lot of people go there after I usually go to strap and box my stuff. Also I have to sit back during the event because my Xbox for some reason can not handle it it’s hella old but I can normally do the beginning and the end so I’m not like fully AFKing.
I did 20 of the events normally. Wasting all my ammo for dups and nothing good. I don’t see the hate of 80% of the players being AFK. I joined the team now. Why waste all your ammo for the shittiest drop rates I’ve ever seen when plus level 800 players spam nukes nonstop killing everything anyways? So sorry I’m not marching with the slow ass robots for the 100th time for a jester mask.
I’m genuinely so unreasonably sad over something that should just be fun (and still is, amidst the multi-flavored disappointment) BECAUSE of how much I, as a new player experiencing his first-ever Fasnacht, have had to discover the true, unfiltered elitism that lurks in the community through this event. Personally, I don’t care about the value of things very much. I never sell anything in my own shop for a price that’s over the suggested price, honestly it’s usually lower unless I personally worked hard for it, but I don’t like to go over 1k caps for a single item it feels barbaric. I hate how badly I want the glowing unicorn mask because of how weird people are being about it, I just wanted to wear it because I love how it looks and already had an affinity for wearing all of the different animal masks. I can’t get a single glowing mask at all and it’s killing me, and I just know I’ll never be able to find one in a shop because of, again, how absolutely weird people are being over the rare masks. I’ve never seen people be this awful weird over anything in the game before, and I just don’t know how to combat my own bad luck. I just know I’ll have to find a way to do so because it’s gonna be my only hope 😅
I actually saw something worse than AFKing (don't really care much for it myself, but it is annoying if I happen to do all the tasks myself just to get another non-rare dupe when there were so many other players that could've helped), and that's when there was someone who was almost 1000 in level was running around with an alt account that's like level 60 and sent a friend request to everyone on the server using that smurf account (I know because I was playing with a friend and she got the friend request too) then started to server hop just to do that to other players. Then he started to ask in a very cringe voice that's the mix of a furry and a child "Excwuse mwe, do wou hab any gwoing masks I can hwave?" on the 60 alt account. He was also playing on his main in his regular voice so anyone could've thought they were two separate players. I didn't know it was the same player as the one who was almost level 1000... until he made that voice and said the same thing on his main account then went "Oops." The moment I saw that was the moment I thought "Wow... If vulturing over the donation box is the bottom of the barrel, this guy just drilled right through it and even deeper." Seriously, just leeching off of people's kindness like that is a new low.
I didn't give him anything though, especially because I had no glowing masks to give. I do have a Deathclaw mask though and I'm keeping that~

I would love to see a way to trade in X amount of common to get an uncommon mask, or X many uncommon to get a rare mask... but I would like to choose the rare mask.
I personally will be AFK when I am not able to play but I do tend to run the event at least 5 times daily.
I don't like the glowing variants and I am not putting them in a box for some other high level player to turn around and sell it. So $1,000 caps for each it is. 'Finding a low level player' is great if you KNOW they aren't on their 8th account. I'm gonna focus my time playing and not hunting for ways to feel nice.
With AFKing it (about 50% of the time), i participate in around 15 runs a day, after 5 days that's around 80 runs. One rare mask and that was a duplicate. I don't use the donation box, instead i drop masks & plans into the mailbox outside the Post Office.

Nice vid guys, thanks, I don’t agree with afk, as you’re getting rewarded for not helping, so no from me, in terms of the donation box, it’s pointless, all of your ideas for this were on point, I’ve given away dupes, I’ve also sold dupes rather than trying to locate low levels that perhaps need them, I’ve found one rare glowie in the scorchbeast mask but really want the rare glowie alien, I’m hoping to get it before this ends, but not holding out much hope of that. If anyone wants to swap a glowie scorch for a glowie alien, please let me know. Thanks.
Greed aside because well it's quite prevalent.. there's no stopping someone from playing how they like to. Like those who afk events, there's no stopping or regulating it. Christ you have folks hoping to max the opportunity to get masks and plans. I think this is why people spite nuke the event because it's largely toxic. But again all is fair as it is in the user parameters to play as you wish. So weather you have sour grapes on how someone chooses to play or not, in the end it's just a game! There's no need to get butt hurt over how one chooses to play. Also look at it like this and the game of D&D you have murder hobos the greed and afk players are basically the same thing, well that's just my opinion. 😂
im lvl 200 something, this is my first fastnacht.. It's fun to get some masks as a reward but i hate the donation box. every time i go to have a look.. as soon as people put something in the entire content will be looted at once, you don't even get time to see whats being put in.. it's just gone immediately.. and yes they usually are lvl 600 or up. Then i noticed AFK players.. just standing at the loot box or at the church so they will get the event rewards even when not playing.. i got so annoyed when i noticed multiple players standing there i just went to nuke silo charlie and dropped a nuke on fastnacht. So annoying.
Been AFKing overnight on three clients and throwing dupes in the donation box while nobody is lurking. Dupes and megalonyx torsos. Have seen a Behemoth boss but not a Grafton monster.
i agree with you on everything until 15:45, for all the times you haven't seen it, i have, i just woke up in a dead server, i came across 12 people afk in a server last night, anyone active had left.. so while yeah 23v1 is probably rare, cases just as fkd exist all too common.
The AFKing is out of hand and is making it hard to do some of the other events between Fasnacht since they are occupying active player spots. Or some aren't fully AFK but will during the event then run out of some houses corner to the box afterwards for their free junk. F this events design and the communities behavior around it. Seen more nukes dropped there then for any of the bosses this week as well. Just wtf.

Fake hype around an event that no one can tell me why they are excited for it results in people willing to pay higher prices. High prices attract those that want to make money. Fake hype causes fear of missing out. The players didn't do this, Bethesda did this. This idea that only low levels should get the extra masks is beyond me. That's not how the world works at all. If they are put into an open box, you really cannot blame anyone that uses the open box to try and flip items. Should the players that don't know the value of a plan trolled because they are selling it for far too cheap allowing anyone that comes across it to buy it and sell it at a much higher price? Nah. If you don't want people that don't 'deserve' your extras, do what you want with it. How about leave everyone else alone
This is probably one of the worst events in this game to me. I think most these new mask should of been added to other events if you even want to get 1 Glowing you're definitely dealing with a 0.02% an realistically you're gonna get only 1 or 2 rares or none depending on you're luck. It is a pain even if you do afk. Should be a mechanic tide to the event just to have a chance at getting a rare an all 5 robots alive is obviously not even working I have done several of this event over the years an I can definitely tell you I have only gotten ether 0 - 2 masks an I only have 7 rares. An good luck trying to find someone on discord the only way you're getting the mask you want is a asylum red dress or another glowing. Hope you all got some good masks but this event just takes alot out of you had to get this off my chest anyway have a good rest of you're day of night. :3
There is a TON of AFK on xbox. Per server switch, there is at least 5+ AFK. It's fine to me, because if there is too many, just join a new server after the event like you mentioned.
I definitely disagree with afking, it is not fair that you should get rewards for doing nothing. I have had events fail because most of the people there are afking. I find the worst time for this is at night especially during the week. I work 12 hour days so come home and try to do it at least 3 times and it is so disappointing to have it fail because people are are not contributing. My experience is like 3 or 5 people playing and 15-18 people afk. I understand everyone wants the rewards but it really makes it unfun when you are playing the game so freeloaders can get rewards. Bethesda just needs to change either the drop rate or how rewards are distributed for his event so this is not a thing and people will actually play and have fun with it.
Lvl 500+ here. I've been dumping masks and plans in the box, than stepped back to see it empty. Hope folks don't think I'm one of the vultures.
This is my very first time playing Fasnacht and I think people are upset with me when I look in the box but I still need almost all the masks I can’t get anything out of the box without people camping the box it’s so bad I’ve been expermenting by putting hundreds of pounds of boiled water in the box and it always disappears within half a second of it going into the box
Good suggestion with the level cap. However too many high level players would just use a level 1 alt/mule. i drop in a ton of useless misc/holotapes/plans. Enough so its just irritating to have to sort through.
It isnt fair because some people put in effort and others can go and get the rewards with no effort its like working a job and doing all the work and your co-worker gets paid and praised for your job, Also its complete bullcrap the job excuse because we had a dude afk and he was literally there doing nothing because somebody might have aggroed a scorch and brought them over to them and when they got shot after a while the guy came back and killed the scorch and went afk again
I gave alot of duplicates away to some nice dude that stopped off at my base and was asking about my glowing robot mask so i thought i would help him out also he dropped me a few masks i didnt have too
Maybe Toxic but i am getting aggro on scorch near the place and bringing them to other players that are afk that can be got at if they want to get free stuff at least they will die for it hopefully
I gave up screwing with the Fasnacht event and getting a useless mask that does absolutely nothing... and now just use the event as a target for Nuking. So far I have managed to Nuke 10 afkers at once... still trying to see how many I can get at once.
The afking issue is 100% Bethesdas fault. They need to add the daily ops elder reward system so duplicates won’t be and issue giving you a higher chance of getting a new mask or plans
Its just based on rng, theirs no tips, afk or doing the event doesnt affect the awards. I literally just got a glowing turkey as i stood watching everyone else do the event while my food cooked. Robot gets destroyed youre better off finding another server or your getting shit rewards. Plus the whole afk conservancy honestly who cares some people have time and some dont.
😂 I’m a new player for fallout n tbh so many restrictions and stuff with stash there’s almost no point goin hard for stuff in these events I don’t have the room and most of my stash is literally apparel and plans I have all my weapons on me it gets to the point as a new player if you come from any grinding game (Warframe) that I actually was grinding too fast on fallout and hit with restrictions till the next day it’s a unsynergetic way to farm things reprehensible drop rates are so low in rng exactly like the game I come from. also the greed and afk players that are high level in this event has really turned me off and I’ve crept back to my old grind game
I have the butter churn , glowing alien , glowing unicorn and glowing SBQ along with various crud .
lol , the bosses still get nuked instantly regardless of what they are.
i personally come prepared with everything needed to activate the protrectrons but i afk the march itself, it's still too slow and the most boring part of the event. and yeah i once donated a mask to the box and a lvl 4000+ snatched it in like a second. i'll just drop the masks i already have to low levels after the event ends
It's not just high levels hovering around the donation box. Players of all levels scoop up everything they can to sell in their vendors for play money. The donation box is a pointless addition.
I know the drop rates suck, but let's be honest that we have hardly any rare items in fallout. Most of us by now have plenty of rare plans and apparel and if we made the glowing masks easy to obtain for everyone, that rare value would be lost.
5:00 420 is sadly not the total number of runs to get all the rare masks, not even close. 420 is only the number of runs to get the LAST (21st) rare mask after you've got the other 20. You need to add the number of runs to get the 20th, 19th, 18th, all the way to the 1st rare mask. And all their numbers are different too, with the 1st the easiest to get and requiring the least runs, and the 21st the hardest and requiring the most runs. If you add them all up, it's 1536 runs, which is way more than the 336 times the event occurs (24 times per day times 14 days). This is why so many people are still playing Fasnacht after 5 years, because a majority of them still haven't all the masks.
I afk when im doing something in real lifea nd go full bore being as helpful as i can when im not. I still cant run every ine but ive got plenty of good ones and one new rare one. Message lower level players and hand them the mask directly is the move. Afk is good but make sure youre carrying the load at least a few times ya know?
The drop rates are ridiculous now. I dont mind some RNG but its just not fun at all when I got FOUR WITCH MASKS IN A ROW TODAY.
I start my AFK attempts tomorrow from my camp in the event radius
i have had several times that i was running Fasnacht and realized i was the only person out of over 10 that was not AFK. when that happens i just go to another server. i also barely think Fasnacht worth doing with the low rate of return. about all i get is common plans and masks.
i ran soooooo many fasnachts, i got no rares, a crap ton of "uncommon" masks so many so that i was donating them in the box and only keeping one for myself, and a few common ones from previous events. got many many more of the uncommon. kinda disappointed, i wanted the glowing alien mask its not even popular either. maybe next time i guess
Hello love your content !! . But I want to give another angle on high level players taken from the donation box. High level is subjective, what level do we consider high level. Above 50 , 500. I’m at level 524 been playing for a little over a year and because of work schedules and other factors this is my first Fasnacht event that I was able to play. I didn’t have any mask before this past week. I have gotten the thumbs down and Angry emotes. But no way to tell them that just because I’m at 500 + doesn’t mean i have that mask. AFK is increasing as the event goes on. I have been in a number of servers that are 6+ people AFK and hardly anyone actually running the event. Typically always people over level 500 who are selling the masks at excessive prices at their camps. I don't mind an AFK player here and there, but this is beyond just toxic. Which is really sad since the PC community is usually so much nicer than the console communities. 🤷
To be honest I don't have any interest in the Fasnacht event, I played it when it was in the game a few months ago and received the Fasnacht beret many times (I had a lot by the end). I'm thinking if I don't play I won't be disappointed with not getting masks😄
I put spoiled meat in there for them to spam the box lol. Especially if I see someone just crouching over there to just hoard it. It isn't like they need it to complete a collection. Or a one star heavy power armor or weapon just to weight them down.
I literally finish the event and leave. All the donation scavengers are disgusting, moreso than AFK pkayers.
I AFK, im not ashamed of it. I cant play very often at all and i want a glowing robot mask. The rest ill give away to low levels. Cry hard anyone who has a problem with that.
Like personally, a lot of these vendors, they want to sell everything in there for like ridiculous amounts but if you server you can get anything in that game from somebody else for dirt cheap
