Their love for Paul was the most genuine thing (besides the fact that they milked it for marketing). U can tell because the franchise immediately split into two after he died.

It’s crazy to see how unpopular Tokyo Drift was at its release - everyone I know, myself included, see Tokyo Drift as the one of the best, if not THE best, in the series.
Yeah when the movie came out nobody liked it but my brother and I. Crazy to see it build such a fan base after all these years . That movie was a straight vibe.
I totally get why. Besides from the last bits of the story, Sean is the most unreasonable protagonist in the whole franchise. He's just a dumb, ignorant and reckless kid that destroyed an otherwise cool story
People that have contracts that say they can't be portrayed as "weak" in any way aren't real actors. Imagine if Christian Bale had a contract like that so Batman could never lose a fight. It would be ridiculous.
It’s funny cause I am pretty sure every actor in F&F has that in their contracts they can lose arguments among the main cast in terms of comedy but never action scenes. That’s why when Dom & Hobbs fought in Fast Five they made it so even when realistically Hobbs should have won considering he is able to take down trained assassins like Shaw but somehow a random mechanic racer from LA can compete with him.
@@pleasekillyoursefI just like to know the context. Did the actors ask for this or did the agents. I wouldn’t be surprised if the actor asked but I’m sure most actors don’t look at the fine details of the contract.

The Rock added some legit star-power to Fast5 despite not being an actual star in Hollywood, which in turn made him an actual movie star. Mental how things work
I recently watched all the Fast and Furious movies, and I gotta say, from the moment the first movie starts, you get engrossed with Paul Walker's acting. Every time Paul smiles in the movies, it's not acting, it's genuine. He really was having a blast playing Brian's character, and it, in turn, makes you happy and have fun watching just like him.
The first movie will always be my favorite. Everything was just taken more seriously and it was grounded. The stunts were cool but weren't exaggerated like future movies. And Vin Diesel actually gave a shit about his acting. I liked that he was a deuteragonist more than a protagonist. It wasn't the Dominic Toretto movie it was a Brian O'Conner movie.
Three will always be my favorite because it's the least "fast and furious" movie out of them all and actually is about street racing like the first movie was.
Vin was actually decent in the first one, and in Saving Private Ryan. It sucks that he went down a different career path as far as what roles he took lol.
Dude, Paul Waker demise was such a sad thing. His character and story was the only thing in those movies that I actually liked after they drop the race cars for super spies action
RIP John Singleton. A director who could glide from studio tentpoles to intimate dramas almost seamlessly. The man died way too young but gave us a small legacy to appreciate.
I knew Vin was jealous of Tyrese, even though 2 fast wasnt as revered as the first one Tyrese had a lot of appeal and added a lot to that sequel; his character's demeanor strays so far away from how "hard" he was in his first appearance in the series. Vin turned him into the jester of the group for the tail end of the franchise. Hater.
I didn’t like the first movie solely because of Diesel. His whole „I’m the toughest wanna fight?“ overly serious attitude was annoying. Tyrese was much more likable und I enjoyed the second movie a lot more because of him and Walker having a great chemistry.
For real. He was actually becoming a good action star and was carrying his own weight with other action stars like Jason Statham in death race, Mark walburgh in four brothers and 2f2f. But since they made him a joke in the fast n furious he completely fell off.
A film critic might call Tokyo Drift a failure. However that movie single handedly sparked a burning passion for cars inside millions of young boys all around the world. I would call that a success, since after all, these were originally meant to be movies about cars instead of ridiculous action films.
Film critics critique films, not guess at success with particular marketing demographics. Trust me, we don't want them to try to do that. I'm glad Tokyo Drift was influential for a lot of people, but film critics should limit themselves to examining films, not trying to guess what teenagers like.
Oh my gooood, give it a break. They're hollywood action movies that use street racing as the theme, nothing else. No one involved in the first 4 movies gave a fuck about cars as a passion.
Tokyo drift is still my favorite. Lucas black is probably the biggest downside. But I loved the way it looked, I loved the cast, and I LOVED the races. Really wish the studio hadn't interfered as much as they did
That's so funny to me as someone who just started watching the movies this year, cause that one was definitely the worst in my marathon so far (except for Han and Twink.) But I'm only on 4 rn so maybe 3 isn't the worst. The theme is really good tho
Nuts how many of the most influential things came out when I was the most susceptible to influence. Crazy coincidence & definitely not the result of my teenage judgment.
I still can't stop thinking about Vin Diesel taking to Facebook for ideas in the movies. That's like equivalent to a RUclipsr asking their fans what videos they want to see lmao
Fast & Furious may be one of the most mediocre money printing franchises in film history, but no other action movie can compare to Fast Five. The world's first car commercial disguised as a heist movie. Badass.
It should be more heartbreaking that he, as a man in his 30s, was dating 16 year olds. But i guess we're not talking about that because the children he groomed and objectified aren't important, huh?
Quit lying that was not confirmed that’s just a rumor Vin Diesel is not fun or lazy and he’s not why am I quit Hollywood inside or even said it had nothing to do with Vin They said it was a studio piss off lies if Paul alive he tell him woont do that fool
I still get emotional when the topic of Paul Walkers death comes up. It just made me so sad because I grew up with this series and it almost single handedly made me into a car enthusiast. As cheesy as these movies have become, they still have a special place in my heart.
As the years pass i cant help but appreciate tokyo drift for the aesthetic and look that it created and gave of the japanese and drift culture simillar to the LA style, made me appreciate the time in which it was made more.
Another funny thing was that Eminem was originally who they wanted to play lead role, Brian , but he turned it down and Paul Walker took on role where it’s now hard to imagine anyone else (before the sad tragedy of Paul Walker). But it could have lead to even more funny things said about Ja Rule during beef with Em. Or the fact that he wanted 30 Million is funny enough.
@@LuffyBlack Thanks for your opinion on that. I was just mentioning how they wanted him for the original movie. The first 3 movies are a part of some of my favorite memories with my dad, I remember the movies going on in the background while we worked on his car. I can't watch Tokyo Drift without crying, because it reminds me of my dad and how much I miss our late nights together
Tokyo Drift is my most favorite of these. No film in this franchise comes close to that. What a magical time it was, NFS Most Wanted, this movie and teenage years.
I really liked Tokyo Drift as well. I remember people hating on it probably because there was no one from the first 2 films (besides Diesel's little cameo). I was confused. I left the theatre feeling pretty satisfied. If Tokyo Drift was not called Fast and Furious, i think people would've liked it
Yea, it was an epic time to be sure, with the previous movies and NFS Undergrounds aswell. NFS turned to shit after most wanted tho and F&F declined after F5
I like Tokyo Drift too, mostly because it was the first one I watch from the series. The setting and races are cool, but the story is mediocre, down to the fact that you can colour swap everyone and the story would still work mostly.
One of the most tragic things about the death of Paul Walker is that there were internet rumors just the week before that he had died in an explosive car crash. So when the sad news first broke, many fans responded with a "Nah, that's been debunked as a hoax." Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction. I met Paul Walker a number of times, and can confirm that he was just the sweetest, caring, and down to earth guy. Paul did a ton of charity, but did almost all of it behind the scenes and never wanted credit nor publicity for his good works.
Holy crap I remember a schoolmate told me about this yet I didn't hear any news about him until that following week. It was the weirdest deja vu moment ever I always wondered how he knew
The Rock in Fast Five is his best on screen performance of any movie he's ever been in. He's a scary dude when he plays it serious. I pray that's the kind of performance he brings to Black Adam. I fuckin hated his character change just because he became "part of the team"
This is a rare episode where production slowly gets more difficult with each new installment. So many of these actors became household names because of this franchise, but then got too egotistical and tried to exert their own control over it. Celebrity actors sound like a nightmare to deal with
I remember seeing the news stories about Paul Walker & was heartbroken. It may be a cheesy soap opera action flick but I LOVE the fast and furious franchise. Sitting in a full theater watch furious 7 and hearing people sob and break down crying at the end will be something i never forget. These are and always will be my favorite movies.
It didn't have all the most high quality movies, but the Fast and the Furious franchise will always have a special place in my heart. As a Filipino, I thank God for Paul Walker's life, that he was able to be a blessing to so many of us before he passed away.
Although I was quite sceptical that this would blindly shit on the Saga with irrelevant reasons. As a fan, I gave it a go and I was hooked because of the real life implications and Universal itself being a massive influence in the mistakes and moments when the franchise was "duct taped." In fact this was done so well I'm thankful I watched this. Context matters and this was a great video to watch
Yea same! I was expecting him to really shit on it because of the title but it's actually just a history lesson of the franchise which was a very nice surprise.

The Fast and the Furious was never made for the critics, the first 3 ones are very influential and action packed in their own way, see how the critics consenses is one but the audience is another? Everyone who is part of the car culture became desapointed with the fast saga after the 5th one, and also agree that the best of all is Tokyo Drift....the only one with no physics defying stunts
I agree. There is a major disconnect between the opinion in the car culture and the general public/critics. I believe this is the core problem of the franchise. They are trying to please everyone by inserting cars for the car culture (and maybe as an USP for the series) in a completely nonsensical way to please the general public/critics. Because this is where the cash is. This offends the car culture and there is a huge unsolvable rift between those two types of Fast and Furious Fans.
@@f1fan3000 how early, it could have worked if they made the action ones a spin off series, it could have still appeased to everyone as it would allow the classic car culture to still happen
@@pian-0g445 Yes they should have taken the Hobbs and Shaw spin-off route after Tokyo Drift. Part 4 should have been as car centric as 1-3 while 5 being a spin-off. This would fit the introduction of The Rock aswell, better than cramming him in like they did in 5.
I feel for anyone who dealt with Vin's antics, but I gotta admit, if it's true that these behaviors weren't a problem until Paul's death, then I can give him a pass. Hopefully he's doing better now that some time has passed. Hope he found some closure.
Han should have been the lead for 3, period. He was legit the most interesting and magnetic character of that whole film. Lucas was forgettable at best. Infuriates me that the studio’s time and time again make this mistake thinking only white actors can lead films, when that thinking is not only vilely racist, but extremely outdated. So them upset bc Lin was trying to resurrect him to save the franchise is laughable bc if they made him the lead in the first place it would’ve made the story 10x better all around.
You are both right. But the movie would not have been watchable and the DK determining race wouldn't have had the impact that was there. Han was in the perfect position for the movie and there would have been no point to have to develope a character that couldn't drift at the beginning of the movie so Han would not have been the Mentor of the movie that is part of what fans like about his character. It would have been like taking Yoda out of The Empire Strikes Back.
May I be honest? .... I REALLY like Lucas in F9. He was more likable in that movie than the 3rd movie. They gave him a character, he was excitable, he was like Brian O'Conner except his was bright and colorful. If anything, I WANT Lucas in future movies if he's like who he was in F9. I
The Rock has atleast been in moderately successful movies....Vin Diesel is kinda trash and its kinda hilarious how some people just desperately ride his cack...The guy has made 1 decent movie, Pitch Black was good. Furious 7 was made with love, passion and serious dedication. I never noticed the fact that his scenes were cgi, seriously! R.I.P a legend, ever since his death the cast got split, and the movies became over the top shit shows.
It is obvious the tragic death of Paul walker affected the series greatly he was probably the most professional one out of the 2 protagonist actors I feel like the franshise and even Vin Diesel went down after his passing.
I understand the business side of things were u have to keep making money from the franchise but a part of me still believed 7 should’ve been the ending of the saga bc the ending of 7 was a way to close O’brians chapter and a remembrance for walker
The franchise would be remembered in a better light if it stopped at 7. 8 and 9 are progressively worse, and have none of the charm previous movies had
@@marcen12 The run of 5-7 was good though, both critically and commercially. Ending the series on one of the most tasteful send offs to an actor/character was the perfect way to end. Since then the movies are still entertaining but feel extremely stale (especially 9)

They are obviously uncomfortable. I love Vin but he's abusive and too much power and money for his own good. He needs to get sober and take his responsibilities more seriously. On the other hand i do understand how the racial discrimination someone like him must have gotten in Hollywood his whole career must have taken a toll on his mental health. For example, his struggles to secure producer credit and PGA status. Other actors have gotten vanity credit for much less than what vin has put into the series. For example, his short film Los Bandoleros, which explains how Lety and Vin team up again and get married between fast 1 and 4, was written, directed, and produced by him on 0 budget. He did that out of love for the franchise
So Diesel is a control freak. This clearly explains that Vin made Jhonson angry at the set of Fast 8 despite of he himself showing up late of the set of Fast 7.
I am a Filipino fan who absolutely enjoyed this bonkers franchise, it honestly devastated my young teenage self when Paul Walker died and the fact that he was willing to help me and my countrymen who suffered from the typhoon that devastated our lives just felt unreal, how could a good man like him end up dead just broke my old naive worldview, but the fact that they finished this and gave him a proper send-off was also one of the most heartwarming things I've ever watched in cinema, I still feel sad today about his passing but I am grateful for the passionate film and franchise he has helped created that molded my early childhood. Thank you Paul Walker.
Man, after hearing the behind scenes of Furious 7, you can tell Paul's death really impacted Vin's mental state. I can't imagine the feeling of bringing back Paul with CGI and finishing his story in his memory, but feel like the process is unethical.
So it would had been ethical if they completely erased Paul off from the movie right. And just throw the scenes already done by him in trash. Production went to hell and back just so they can give him the best farewell as they can.with his brothers getting involved and it was unethical for u when his own family put everything just so make him feel alive.
I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of research you do for your videos and podcasts. Editing is spot on also. I have not seen any of the Fast franchise films but I am curious, are there any actors that have an appearance in every one of these so far? Thanks for the entertainment!
TBH, 1 to 3 was perfect at it is. A movie about the street racing culture and Tokyo Drift being the best. My theory is when Dom crashed in FF1 ending, everything that happened onwards is a halucination while Dom is on life support while in the hospital. Thats why 'family' is important to Dom.
Would be a great ending to franchise where in the last movie, the final scene is the scene of the car crash in FF1 when Dom and Brian was racing at the end and they both crashed due to the train and it shows both of them in the same room in hospital. they both are in a coma and having some weird long drawn out dream that the movies 4-10 takes place as a fantasy land. In the room is all the characters from FF1-7 waiting for them to wake up from their coma.
@@sparda9060 That wouldn't be a good ending imo, that would be just sad seeing them there in that state and us knowing that all those movies were basically fake and not worth our time if they were in a dream.
I love how it's not just Dom who's evolved from car guy to goddamn Terminator. For me, Tej going from 'retired racer who puts on street races for money' to 'the greatest computer hacker the world has ever seen who can hack into MI5 with nothing more than an old iPad' is an even more ridiculous arc than Dom's 🤣 Also, this video really reaffirms why the franchise ideally *should* have ended after Paul Walker died. No matter how hard he tries, Diesel (or the Rock, or Statham, or Cena) will never be the heart and soul of the franchise - it'll always be Walker. People loved him & Diesel's chemistry - for all the *FaMiLy* memes, they really did feel like brothers, close friends who'd look out for each other no matter what. Plus, Walker always felt like the one true 'car guy' amongst the cast, which in a franchise built entirely on cool cars and car culture, probably also contributed to him being the most relatable and grounded dude. Unlike Diesel, Statham, the Rock etc, Walker never felt like he *wanted* to become some huge action star or superhero - he was just a normal dude who liked fast cars and fun action. Its really noticable how people really started to drop off from the FF franchise after Walker died. Had they finished with FF7, I think most of us would've been pretty okay with that. Unfortunately, like anything in Hollywood these days, so long as it keeps making money they'll keep making movies - no matter how stupid they get or how many awful retcons they have to pull. And lets not forget, once the main series is finally done, there's always things like a spin-off series (Hobbs & Shaw) or the ever popular prequel/soft reboot option 🙃
I hope to see megazord, godzilla and ancient wizard in this franchise, but this kind of fast & furious probably only doing good in international non u.s.a market (india & china gonna love it)
I agree. The moment Diesel showed up in a foreign war torn country wearing only a white Tshirt, I knew it was going to be more of him showing off how he can never lose.
This franchise is such an easy crowd pleaser, its dumb action and its totally proud of that. Even if they're technically awful cinema, they're just so fun to watch and you do get connected to the characters. Also as a car nut I really appreciate all the sick as cars in these films
The franchise became to successful for it's own good. The over-the-top action scenes and the fact they keep resurrecting dead characters are what killed it for me. I mean don't get me wrong they're dumb popcorn movies, but that's about it
Wasn't it Johnson who called out Diesels tardiness not the other way around. That makes sense as Johnson has a reputation for hard work and Diesel an ego driven snowflake.

It definitely devalued that entire ending to F7. Now going back to watch F7 it just looks like everyone being over-dramatic watching Brian play with his kid on the beach.
It still kinda blows my mind how long ago Paul Walker passed away. You just get used to these Fast movies releasing for their huge numbers and the success these movies have wouldn't be anywhere near where it is today without that one sole actor. Only stigma to this franchise is Vin Diesel's personality traits being front and center every time a movie comes around. Beef with other actors, to him writing scenes where he always is the big dog when there are bigger people in those movies, to taking his bigger than thou attitude to undercut and yundermine other actors who NEED those big moment and to the complete and utter nonsense to push out their Covid released movie as a theatre only release with the whole "movies is about family" dogshit. If he could find a way to just be the big guy but sit back and not worry about his image on screen or the box office numbers I think people would find even more to pull them in for future movies.
You know, there’s a video out there that scores the fight between Dom and The Rock, and even mathematically they tied. It’s good to know that wasn’t chance.
that last scene in fast 9 was honestly heart breaking, after sitting through one of the movies of all time (not a big fan of it ngl) that ending scene with "hold on, there's still an empty chair" followed by an engine on the distance and Brian's R34 was something else, almost broke down crying in the theater
As one of many devoted F & F fans, I got touched by this video. What a great chronicle of a wonderful franchise. It is sad that we lost the Rock, though (and that we got to space, to be honest). But all in all this has been hell of a ride.
Fast and furious tokyo drift sparked the love for drifting in me and im super happy for it, the soundtrack the cars and all that is just god tier and my favourite in the whole series

God, 19:45 hit so hard. I know it's sad for most people, But parents see things like this through eyes that weren't open, until the day our children were born. As a movie lover, I can't thank my daughter enough for giving me the ability to see scenes like that through new eyes. He was so young, and his daughter was just entering the age where most daughters start bonding with their dads on another level. Where she would have just started seeing him as a person, and not just dad. A friend. But there's no such thing as "just dad". Being a dad is the greatest part of me. I love my daughters more than I ever thought possible. Life is far too short.
Was watching this today, which happens to by daughter's birthday, and had been not long before looking through the photo memories generation by iPhone since when she was an infant. To say the moment that montage of him began with his baby girl hit hard would be apt. Then someone thought it would be a good idea to start cutting onions in my house at the exact same moment. Timing.
Yeah that part got me too. Seeing him with his daughter. I have two girls now and it made me choke up a little thinking about them having to go through something like that.
Normally I'm fairly stoic, but seeing again the story of Paul Walker's death and the huge loss that it meant for his family almost made me cry. Even as some sort of atheist, I hope he's doing ok wherever he is.
Man, that ending did not age well at all. Lin walked off set and Dwayne Johnson wants no part of the franchise, and honestly I can not blame either one. Vin got that sweet taste of success and let it go straight to his head, then forgot where he came from and who made him. He may claim to be "all about the people", but with how shitty he's been behind the scenes, you couldn't tell. Hell, even a very vocal small percentage of the fan base are turning their backs on the movies and those numbers are rising. Me? I'm far too invested to just not watch this train wreck and will be there to watch it too the bitter end.
I watched Fast 9 and felt like it was a waste of time. Heck, I couldn't even finish Hobbs and Shaw. The movies changed from car action movies and police chases, to a cheesy superhero movie where the director is the main character.
Insane to see a franchise that was dead in the water get revived. I remember going to see Tokyo Drift in the theater and just how empty it was. That just doesn't happen in a Hollywood.
I have a friend, who is a HUGE fan of the F&F series. Now in context, a movie never really makes him cry not even tear up. The ending when Paul and Vin drive in different directions, he told me he cried.

When you said Vin Diesel became unhinged after his friend died, all of sudden the bad publicity behind the filming made more sense. It was like hearing about your best friends beefing and fighting over you, when you just want everybody to get along and keep riding the wave of a gold mine. In a sense when they went with their gut of going beyond street racing they high jacked summer blockbuster roll outs making all other action movies plan their release around them.
I feel like Paul is Vin's only genuine friend on set and his untimely passing finally snaps him. Vin is fairly neutral with his female co-stars but it seems like he has major beef with the other male stars since 7 (Tyrese, Rock, etc.)

It’s crazy to see how unpopular Tokyo Drift was at its release - everyone I know, myself included, see Tokyo Drift as the one of the best, if not THE best, in the series.

It takes work to be a baddass, loads of paperwork
@@pleasekillyoursef Did you call Christian Bale an action star?
It’s funny cause I am pretty sure every actor in F&F has that in their contracts they can lose arguments among the main cast in terms of comedy but never action scenes.
I agree that Diesel is really good in 1. But hasn’t shown that level of acting since.

I knew Vin was jealous of Tyrese, even though 2 fast wasnt as revered as the first one Tyrese had a lot of appeal and added a lot to that sequel; his character's demeanor strays so far away from how "hard" he was in his first appearance in the series. I didn’t like the first movie solely because of Diesel. His whole „I’m the toughest wanna fight?“ overly serious attitude was annoying. Tyrese was much more likable und I enjoyed the second movie a lot more because of him and Walker having a great chemistry.
Vin...you were the one who left the 2nd movie to do your own thing. Tyrese could have called ya out more.
A cult classic definitely.
Film critics critique films, not guess at success with particular marketing demographics. Trust me, we don't want them to try to do that. I'm glad Tokyo Drift was influential for a lot of people, but film critics should limit themselves to examining films, not trying to guess what teenagers like.

I hope to see megazord, godzilla and ancient wizard in this franchise, but this kind of fast & furious probably only doing good in international non u.s.a market (india & china gonna love it)
I've been a fan of this series from the beginning. but with the last movie they really screwed up. Avangers is even less science fiction
I agree. The moment Diesel showed up in a foreign war torn country wearing only a white Tshirt, I knew it was going to be more of him showing off how he can never lose.
The editing on these videos is absolutely insane attention to detail.
Feels just like the best Saturday morning watching movie reviews as a kid!
Thank you! Love it when the editing gets noticed. It’s a lot of work.
*Ah man... Fast Five still give me chills since 2011 golden of year. but sad of year 2013... :-(
This franchise is such an easy crowd pleaser, its dumb action and its totally proud of that. Even if they're technically awful cinema, they're just so fun to watch and you do get connected to the characters. Also as a car nut I really appreciate all the sick as cars in these films
Idk, 1, 2 and Tokyo Drift were pretty cool, later it became very dumb
The franchise became to successful for it's own good.
The over-the-top action scenes and the fact they keep resurrecting dead characters are what killed it for me. I mean don't get me wrong they're dumb popcorn movies, but that's about it
They're should have stopped after 7. Paul Walker was practically the heart of the franchise.
Agreed. Without him, its just Diesel showing off how much he can't lose.
I'll be honest...watching 8 and 9....I didn't feel his absence, Like...at all. Maybe that's just me.
Well maybe, but The Fate of the Furious is still a good movie.
Wasn't it Johnson who called out Diesels tardiness not the other way around. That makes sense as Johnson has a reputation for hard work and Diesel an ego driven snowflake.
And with the recent news of Justin Lin quitting fast 10 due to diesels lack of work ethics, it further proves it.
Came here to say the same thing
I know, right? What I’ve come to learn is that this channel is highly biased and often misreport facts. Don’t know who exactly is running this channel, but they clearly have an agenda. Whatever that weak agenda is

Pretty sure it was the other way around. The rock has a huge ego.
I must say, this is a FANTASTIC documentary about the whole ordeal! Incredibly cohesive, engaging, and informative!

Its been almost 10 years since paul walker passed and i still get teary eyed hearing about it
You know I never realized it’s actually been 10 years I was 10 when he died which is crazy… like time really has passed
I always cry every November 30. I miss him so much.
Why do people like him, he wasn’t in many movies . Only fast and furious
Same here Qushawn it seem like it was just yesterday when I heard the news 📰 of Paul Walker’s death I still miss him , but my sister missed him even more especially since she was a big fan since he played in this one movie 🎥 “ She’s all That” which is still a classic for her

anyone else notice how the clips he uses almost always match what he's saying perfectly? 🔥 great video!
To me, that’s the bare minimum bar for editing.

Y’know what, Roger Corman asking for the stock footage in exchange for the naming rights is the most Roger Corman thing he could do.
I was just thinking that too lol
Yeah there was something really endearing that he just wanted some cool car footage for him to use instead of trying to gouge money out of them. Like a barter
@@Batchall_Accepted I doubt they would've been willing to pay that much, probably just use a different name.
I don't of him, is that a good thing?
@mighty_me8502 what he actually got wasn't stock footage of the fast and furious movies. It was Universal's ENTIRE stock footage library. He was granted unlimited access and actually made a stitched together film for SyFy that way.
Bro, idgaf what anyone says. The first Fast & the Furious was amazing! Every movie afterwards got progressively worse (except for a couple, including 5 ) . I still have a soft spot in my heart for Tokyo Drift. Not because of the main character, but because of Han, the Tokyo scenery, and, of course, the Drifting
There are some really beautiful shots In Tokyo drift.
I absolutely adore the atmosphere and aesthetic.
My favorite scene is when han is talking to Sean on the roof overlooking the soccer field on the building.
And he talks about his past. That scene is perfect
@@bowiesensei5574 Yeah Han and even the bad guy D.K. was actually cool. What holds that movie back is Lucas Black not being able to act at all.
@@THE_BEAR_JEW how did he ever get a career in acting? Same thing happened in Friday night lights. Dude would’ve been perfect on a sitcom from the 90’s
@@THE_BEAR_JEW Maaa raaad.
Hobbs & Shaw is the Captain America: Civil War of the Fast Saga. One of my top 3 favorites.
I always wish they would have stopped at Furious7 after bidding farewell to Paul Walker in a frankly touching way, but they had to chase the bag and proceeded to make two frankly shitty follow ups with the latest absolutely wrecking the reputation of the fast saga
I remember when fast7 came out. Every guy in the theater was in tears at the end.
Man I remember when Paul Walker died you couldn't get away from it. When ever I turned on my Xbox 360 there he was all over the dashboard
Its the only F&F movie I've seen. I loved it. Have watched it many times.
knowing about the passion, effort and love that goes into a project can really make me like something a lot more that i wasnt a massive fan of before. Great video!!
You’re welcome!
they shamelessly continued with the franchise knowing that it would never be the same after Paul and here we are witnessing a 10th part of a shitfall
His brothers will play Paul Walker in f10... So..
But people still enjoy the films. That's why they make so much money.
I think it’s because it was promised to Paul that there’ll be 10 f&f films. But I won’t deny, they’re milking the saga for money.
8 and Hobbs and shaw weren't bad coz of Jason Statham, but I agree if Paul was there would've been better....f9 was a total shit fest
My brother in Christ left a comment without even watching the video lmao
The first 3 movies were insanely famous during my childhood/teen years. It was all we talked about in school.
That Roger Corman tidbit is absolutely hilarious and completely on-brand lmao
God, 19:45 hit so hard. I know it's sad for most people, But parents see things like this through eyes that weren't open, until the day our children were born. As a movie lover, I can't thank my daughter enough for giving me the ability to see scenes like that through new eyes. He was so young, and his daughter was just entering the age where most daughters start bonding with their dads on another level. Where she would have just started seeing him as a person, and not just dad. A friend. But there's no such thing as "just dad". Being a dad is the greatest part of me. I love my daughters more than I ever thought possible. Life is far too short.
I cried reading this
Was watching this today, which happens to by daughter's birthday, and had been not long before looking through the photo memories generation by iPhone since when she was an infant.
I love behind the scenes stuff because it makes me appreciate some of the best movies usually made are trial by fire
I’ve still never seen #10, boycotting it for missing the obvious “Fast 10 Your Seatbelts.”
Normally I'm fairly stoic, but seeing again the story of Paul Walker's death and the huge loss that it meant for his family almost made me cry. Even as some sort of atheist, I hope he's doing ok wherever he is.
Don’t worry. Dude was a grooming pedo
Wouldn’t surprise me if the Rock shows up for the finale film which is supposed to be part 2 to Fast X since DC probably pissed him off even more.
Mamoa is the new rock anyway. The rock over saturated the audience pool by doing too much too quick and people are now tired of seeing him.
@@Drifter1989
Well, guess what...
I can’t believe Vin got mad at Tyree’s for being in Fast 2 when Vin was the one that turned the roll down. Unbelievable.
Insane to see a franchise that was dead in the water get revived. I remember going to see Tokyo Drift in the theater and just how empty it was. That just doesn't happen in a Hollywood.
Justin Lin has stepped down as director of Fast X and has attributed it to Vin Diesels behavior on set. Here we go again
I absolutely loved Tokyo drift as a kid. Sad to see they’ve given this franchise the CoD treatment
I have a friend, who is a HUGE fan of the F&F series. Now in context, a movie never really makes him cry not even tear up. The ending when Paul and Vin drive in different directions, he told me he cried.
I watch these films for the ridiculous dumb fun that they are, and I teared up during the Paul Walker montage.
Was? You mean is? It was good when it was about cars. Now its about defying physics and how many roided our juice heads they can get in one scene.
It was never good. First film is just a remame of Point Break with fake gear heads. They were just corny car flicks then now they are a self aware meme.
@@PikeBishop1 At this point, they've gotten so obnoxiously over-the-top, that it's not even fun to mock anymore. Now they are just plain dumb.
@@PikeBishop1 Care to elaborate why the old ones are just corny car flicks? And maybe think of something better to make them less "corny" to your liking?

The first one is literally a point break ripoff lmao
@@genshitakahashivera3910 bad analogy, fast and furious ripped off that movie script by script except instead of skateboards its with cars, while your comparison is mostly just a movie taking concept from another movie.
As someone who grew up watching ridiculous 80's and 90's action films, I really appreciate the direction this franchise went in. Great video man!
hey look it's 1/3 of that podcast i quite like.
"The street always wins"
Dom on street fights.
The movies after Paul's death disrespect him and his legacy so much imo.
