  • There are many ways to play and perform this build, and this video aims to show you some of the different combinations that are available. Check out the full guide for details.
NEW INFO: Aegis is available on Shield skill 4. Scepter is a superior weapon to Mace due to nerfs, and you can simply cast skill 3 on allies & auto attack to stack up might quickly. It also generates a ton of barrier.
Unless you're aiming for a condition hybrid healer, don't use mace.

    • Deimos - Hand Kite Her...
Herald is likely one of the most comfortable healers at the moment, with an easy time maintaining boons at 600 radius which allows you to both kite mechanics and divert threat away from the your group.
Elevated Compassion pulses Quickness and healing once per second, which synergizes with Shared Empowerment to generate lots of Might. This takes a while to build up, and Mace is an excellent weapon to help stack up quickly with combos.

Good to see Heal Quickness Herald getting some love from SC, it can be a great hard carry build for raids and fractals that a lot of people sleep on.

When am HH tanking, I use bubble most of the time unless stab is completely needed. The bubble is a light field which causes continuous cleansing effect if you use staff skills. Good thing you incorporated also the ventari ulti whenever you switch for additional short term boons. The greatest downside is that if you over used all your energy in a boss that does continuous attacks, and its not enough to keep people alive. I use staff 95% of the time to keep my squad alive despite the low dps because my role is to keep them alive with boons.
From my experience the hardest moments to use HH are the following (mostly with bad groupings):
    - w4 @ deimos - if saul keeps getting damaged even the ventari burst heal might not be enough while trying to keep yourself alive taking tear projectiles
    - strike boneskinner - if your squad are not total gamers, you will end up using all your skills depleting your energy too fast
although most of the time we still made it by just prioritizing my energy use for heals over boons

Great vid, is there a specific reason the SC guide recommends Apothecary stats over Cleric stats for the accessories?

My guess it's just because it does more damage since they are mostly camping mace which does condi dps and you don't need any additional concentration with how Herald currently applies boons.

What about the retribution traitline? (3-2-1) I think it helps with might output while letting you camp staff which in turn boosts healing alot. Also it lets you keep facet of darkness in case you need a stun break. Thoughts?

      1) you can get 25 stacks of might quicker with mace.
      2) You can keep facet of darkness up with this build, I think.
      3) staff burst healing is pretty good for emergencies and herald sustain is good outside of that.
      4) the other skill trees give more to your party even when you’re not tanking.

Where would you rank it compared to hfb? I feel like the stabi application is a bit iffy without dwarf. Other than that it is really cool.

Both have advantages, its just that for heal herald, it has a wide range for its boon effect causing it to be 100% uptime. Unlike hfb that you have to stack much closer but has more access to more boons.
Lots of hfb users has not actually mastered hfb. They seem to have just made it as needed because of the convenience of its boon skills. If you saw someone who has actually spent time in knowing hfb, heals and boons overflow. If you have a boon table, all boons except resistance should be all time high in output. I find it appalling to call them hfb when they dont know how to properly use their skills, tomes and traits on situational basis.

Now that ANet has take Firebrand's pie and distribute it to everyone in the game, I'd say that Heal Herald is comparable, and even better in an inexperienced squad. Its 600 range boon radius and juiced up regen means that you can easily support your dumb teammates in chaotic fights such as Sloth or Matty.
With Firebrand, despite having more utility, if your team don't know how the spec works, they can easily wander out of the application radius and receive no boon.

    Can you HK on harriers?

    • @FjordRiver
      @FjordRiver 9 месяцев назад +1

Absolutely. In fact I think thats the best gearset for HK. Extra vitality just means the ticking dmg after mindcrush (70% of your max heal over 10 seconds) hit harder, and extra toughness just means you might be backup tank if primary goes down, and its really not needed for herald HK.
