    Some notes since people have brought up the Permanent Stability claim: When I was writing this script, I was not expecting to have to add detailed clauses to every statement that I made so that it would legally hold up in a court battle. Definitely my bad for not being careful with the wording. I was favoring conciseness/sensationalism, but hopefully this statement will clear up some of the confusion:
    *Spirit of what I was saying:* Chrono is a god tier stability boon provider.
    *A more precise version of what I was thinking when I wrote the script:* Heal Chrono is the only class in the game that can provide permanent uptime on Stability even after negating boss attacks (specifically the stability boon on your bar for DPS traits that increase damage based on X number of boons), while also maintaining massive amounts of healing and permanent uptime on all other boons expected of a heal support (25 stacks of might, fury, swiftness, regeneration, and protection), and can do so without any tradeoff.
    *Various discussions if you're interested:* The thing with stability is that once it has soaked up a knockback or stun, the stability buff gets consumed. That means single or double stacks of stability can easily be "used up" by the boss or fight, thus there are periods of time during the rotation where you don't have stability on your bar. This results in the "stability" column on the boon table to display as less than 100% uptime during fights. Is it necessary to have stability when there's no upcoming knockbacks/stuns? For most groups, nope! However, it's worth mentioning that there are many traits that "deal increased damage with X number of boons", and these are the cases where the "permanent" stability is useful.
    Examples:
    - wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Inspired_Virtue
    - wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Empowered
    - wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bountiful_Power
    Chrono I believe is the only class that overcaps stability so much to the point where even after negating every knockback/stun/daze the boss offers, the stability boon is still on your bar permanently. Additionally, the multiple stacks of stability that can be stacked (compared to the single stack from FB mantra, Eye of the Storm, Mech F2, etc) means that you can permanently handle rapid back-to-back crowd control skills, such as the scream from Giants or the Goliath AoEs in Harvest Temple Challenge Mode by quickly ramping up 10+ stacks at once for prolonged attacks.
    Other great things to know: When you have multiple stacks of stability, only one stack can be removed every .75 seconds, whereas the moment the buff disappears from your bar you become vulnerable to cc immediately regardless of how quickly the next cc comes out. This is pretty common for fights with shockwaves like Artsariiv for example, where the shockwave might hit you more than once, so you really want multiple stacks active so the buff never falls off of your bar, in addition to aegis and etc. (credit to: @okaledooble410)
    *TLDR:* Miscommunication stemmed from: 100% Stability uptime as a boon on your bar (even after negating attacks, thus benefitting traits scaling off of number of boons) vs 100% Knockback negation on mechanics. In all honesty, a lot of supports in the game can do the second, but only Chrono can do the first.

      I like that statement :)
      a few minor things:
      (qHeal)Scrapper can also spec into "Perma-Stabi" via 3 Stabi sources with low Cooldowns, giving 2x, 3x, and 3x Stabi respectively. It's still a totally functional Boonheal build I regularly use @ Skorvald or MAMA CM for example -> You can trait your F5 to grant Stabi, the F2-4 of "Bulwark Gyro" gives Stabi and F2-4 of "Elixir B" also has 3 Stacks. If you cycle thru them with proper timing you'll grant Perma-Stabi unless somethings eats up all the stacks. Granted though, that Chrono is still the unparalleled King of the Hill given it also has Aegis (and always produces its own Alacrity, making this variant less reliant on your team).
      Well of Precognition: It doesn't give stabi with each pulse but Aegis.
      Dazes, Stuns and Runes/Sigils: Dazes also benefit from Sigil of Paralyzation. You can easily test this in the Fractal Lobby: Summon an idling Champ Golem which has a CC bar and some convenient Text lines below that (you can use that as an easy measurement tool for Breakbar Damage). Apply a single charge of Mantra of Distraction on that Golem with and w/o the Sigil -> You'll see a difference, albeit it being a Daze!
      The other way around is correct though: Stuns don't benefit from the Daze enhancement, as you've stated. Either way, this just substantiates your idea, that Dazes are stronger on Chrono than Stuns regarding Breakbars, since Dazes get pushed by stacking the Sigil's and the Runes' effects

    • @emidotexe
      @emidotexe  7 месяцев назад +2

      @@quarktasche4997 Wait what! Dazes do indeed benefit from Para sigil, it seems like it's marked as an anomaly on the wiki too! Thank you so much, I definitely learned something new. If anything, it's a bit validating because I always thought that Technobabble seemed way stronger for getting me high break bar numbers on Arc, but my previous calculations said that it was only a 3% increase compared to stun. I just assumed that it was because I was CC'ing faster, so the Breakbar/Second equation was getting increased by the smaller denominator. This makes so much more sense lol.
      On another note, I had to check the Precog well because I swear I had seen the pulsing stability, and it looks like we're both half right 🤭 It seems like it applies an initial stack of stability, then the first pulse gives an additional 3 stacks, and then only aegis for the remaining.
      I love you ANet but these switching around things are really unintuitive (though fascinating...)

    This build is so unbelievable that I went in without much of an idea what I was doing and ended up with almost permanent alacrity uptime on myself despite running the quickness trait: sieze the moment. Loads of cc, stability, healing and more. What a stupidly good build holy crap. I think its important to look and make sure you know where your sources of: block, aegis, cleansing, cc, and stability are and try and make sure you remember where each of those are. Another thing is remember to leave rifle 3 alone for the second cast so you maintain high uptime on your might and fury since those are pretty crucial in end game content. This build literally has it all (except for pulling downed allies and excessive barrier).

    great guide, but for some reason I have trouble keeping up alacrity in fractals(with potions/food and celestial or harrier gear). quickness isn't an issue. Could you make videos on what to take for fractal CMs(utilities and traits)?

    • @emidotexe
      @emidotexe  7 месяцев назад +6

      Sure! So I have a few suspicions what's going on:
      First, I want to clarify that the outgoing boons from either Quickness or Alacrity is identical based on calculations from Seize the Moment and Stretched Time. Both grant boons based on clones per shatter (both 1 second per clone base duration assuming 0% boon duration), and both give boons based on phantasm (3 second base duration).
      Second, what's likely happening is that Chrono has another trait called Improved Alacrity that increases the effectiveness of alacrity... but it decreases the duration on alacrity applied to you! So you might be giving 100% uptime to your teammates, but only generating 80 or 90% on yourself.
      The solution to this is make sure that you're casting your phantasms enough to "overcap" on boons. In other words, you need to generate enough alacrity to cover *more* than exactly 100% uptime on other people, because you will need 125% of the duration on yourself! In the case of Rifle, make sure to drain both charges of Rifle 4 off cooldown. Additionally, a common thing I see is if you cast Rifle 4 (or any phantasm skill) on a target that's invulnerable or a target that dies during the cast animation, your skill will go on cooldown but no phantasm will be created. Since no phantasm was created, it never triggers the trait.

    • @imdamanization
      @imdamanization 7 месяцев назад

      @@emidotexe no actually alac on other chars is 70-80, mine was lower xd. Re phantasms I didn't know that, was wondering why I didn't get em sometimes. I'm still new to mesmer. Btw can you kill the adds on silent surf cm on full harrier?

    • @xLeopanther
      @xLeopanther 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@imdamanization Think what's possibly affecting your uptime is the vanishing of clones. Clones are illusions in the 'minds of enemies', they dissipate if the enemy that lets them exist either dies or goes invulnerable. So when clearing trash mobs, using clone skills on adds, any situation where an enemy dies quickly or has frequent invulnerability phases, your boon uptime suffers when clones disappear before you can shatter them. Thus there are situations and encounters where the alac/quick uptime becomes harder. Both the rifle 2 skill and heal mantra can generate a clone without targeting an enemy, but only if you're already in combat (and think they dissipate quickly if there's no targetable enemy around - but you can quickly shatter them).
      A phantasm is a skill that does an attack, then turns into a clone after it finished its job. So it only generates a clone after a delay. If the target is dead or invuln by that time, it won't generate a clone.

    7:30 Hooold a moment. Chrono is not the only spec that can do 100% stab uptime. Heal tempest can too when it's running staff. The earth 3 skill that bursts earth aura gives aoe stab with high uptime, and you can do that up to 3 times if necessary (first earth aura from aftershock, 2nd from earth overload through trait, 3rd from the earth 3 skill itself) - doing it 2 times fits into the regular rotation, 3rd time requires staying slightly longer in earth. As you continue the rotation into the other elements, you can fill the stab uptime with Eye of the Storm as soon as the stab from earth runs out, and by the time that runs out you're back in earth to give new stab. I do that a lot in fractals to disable the 'push each other away' instability. (not as easily and conveniently as Heal Chrono, but its not impossible to do). Oh yeah, and Firebrand can do it too. Just needs 'Stand your Ground' 'Mantra of Liberation' and 'Epiologue: Unbroken Lines' (tome 3 skill 5) to have a 100% stab uptime rotation that can loop indefinitely.
    Nice guide though, learned some extra bits and pieces for my chrono gameplay :D

      I know that we already discussed it via stream channel, but I do want to add a catch here because I realized why I never really considered these classes as 100% "uptime" and it was bothering me because I couldn't place my finger on why I felt so strongly about Chrono being the only permanent stability class in the game. Well, I figured it out!
      Also definitely my bad for not being careful with the wording. I was favoring conciseness/sensationalism, but hopefully this clarifies the intention of what I meant:
      The thing with stability is that once it has soaked up a knockback or stun, the stability buff gets consumed. That means single or double stacks of stability can easily be "used up" by the boss or fight, thus there are periods of time during the rotation where you don't have stability on your bar. • @emidotexe
      @emidotexe  7 месяцев назад

      @@RandomGuyyOnInternet Please read the comment above. Like I said, Firebrand can have 100% stability uptime as a "rotation", but only assuming that the boss does not consume the stack of stability after negating an attack. The only sources of 1+ stability is Stand Your Ground and Hallowed Ground, and in order to maintain stability in between, you need the single stacks from Elite mantra and Tome 3 Skill 5.
      As I said earlier, the distinction that I'm making is that Chrono has 100% uptime of stability as boon on your bar even after negating mechanics due to its massive overcap, whereas other classes have 100% knockback negation (FB, Ele, Druid, Herald, etc.)

      @@shrimpmuzics7524 Nah, with all due respect, you're just being an asshole looking to pick a fight.
      First off: The title says that the build can provide 100% stability uptime, which is completely true.
      Second off: I've already mentioned in both this comment and your own that my wording 8 minutes into the video (meaning people have already clicked, are you telling me that I reverse click baited people after they already clicked my video?! I don't think you understand what "clickbait" means) could have been more precise. To be honest, I was not expecting to have to deal with lawyers in my small RUclips channel, but the criticism is fair.
      BECAUSE the criticism is fair, I have put in the time and effort to provided ample reasoning for why my impression of Chrono is that it is the best applier of stability by a landslide. Every time someone brought up points, I took the time to respectfully answer and weigh their words, thus allowing me to contribute to further discussions while taking those things into account.
      And to be honest, my final verdict is still pretty much the same. When it comes to stability, no other class in the game can do it like Chrono, which is the spirit of what I was saying.

      Sorry for the late response!
      I usually don't go too hard into condi cleanse because you take the trait that cleanses yourself and your allies on shatter (Inspiration last column), and your Mantra also triggers a condition cleanse every time you use it as well (also due to a minor trait in Inspiration). But if you're reallyyy feeling like you need it, you can take the Condition Cleanse mantra.
      For CC, my general thoughts are:
      Technobabble/Domination Signet for very fast CC (aka CC bars that need to be broken in a short amount of time, such as in fractals), Daze Mantra for more CC but over a longer period of time, and Well of Senility as a medium between them (decent CC, decent cooldown). If I need a ton of CC, I take all of them! If I have to pick and choose, usually I end up taking Daze Mantra and Well of Senility.

      Might should be pretty easy to keep up, so my suspicion is that you're pressing your Rifle 3 a second time! If you let it time out, it will give boons. If you detonate it early, it will not :( I personally don't run Well of Action anymore since most fights don't need the super speed, and Might/Fury should be covered by Rifle 3 and your hybrid support is probably splashing some of those boons too :D
      Quick calculations: Between Rifle 3 (12 stacks might) and F1 on a low cooldown (another 5 stacks), you should be able to instantly generate 17 stacks on fight start, more if you use CSplit. Both of these skills have longer base duration of the boons compared to the cooldown, so it should always eventually reach 25 stacks

      I personally don't take it ever take it, since letting Rifle 3 time out (don't double cast) gives so much might and fury already. Also, a ton of classes "splash" might and fury simply by existing and playing in your groups.
      Examples are like Herald (which gives a ton of might, fury, and prot), or other DPS mesmers (even full DPS mesmers keep up 50% squad fury uptime because of a Dueling trait), or Scourge (soo much might because of Blood is Power). There's countless other examples :D
      That being said, I know some people still like it since it gives superspeed, which can be used to cheese some mechanics, or they want giga fast ramp up time on boons without needing to worry about CC or stability.

    • @emidotexe
      @emidotexe  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hmm, so I'll be honest, I did try out Celestial very briefly (granted, I didn't spend much time on it!) but I didn't really feel any value from it. The problem is that both Condi and Power damage on Chrono is heavily reliant on traits and weapons, but since the healing traits are in a completely different trait line and Rifle is pretty much mandatory, it's hard to get a lot of value out of the DPS-oriented stats on Celestial. For what it's worth, the healing was still pretty good since mesmer's base heal values are quite high, but the damage difference was negligible, so I felt like I got more value out of investing into Healing Power and Concentration.
      For rough DPS numbers (again, take this with a grain of salt), I am usually around 2-3k DPS as a Harrier's heal chrono, around 6-7k DPS as Celestial. This is in contrast to Celestial heal scourge, which is *fantastic* at using Celestial stats, and can hit 15k+ DPS very easily.
      If it helps, I think having a set of Harrier's will always be relevant since it's the go-to stat set for healers! If you ever decide to stop playing heal Chrono, the gear can be transferred to either heal Tempest or heal Scourge :)

    Hello.
    Great Video and guide! But you have 1 missinformation in your video: Neither Snowcrow nor Hardstuck used a Chronomancer in their run. They both used Scourge and Druid.
    EDIT: I was mistaken in that. I am referring to the Legendary and Worlds First run. She is talking about the embodiment of Sin achievement!

    • @emidotexe
      @emidotexe  6 месяцев назад

      As I mentioned in another comment, you are mistaking the Legendary Temple of Febe kill (current 700+ people on GW2Efficiency) with the Embodiment of Sin achievement (only about 50 people at the moment).
      Embodiment of Sin has run Heal Chrono in all comps as it is the only healer that can do long range portals with Scg stacking.

      Unfortunately I don't really PvP that much ;~;
      I always like to recommend a few friends though! NotoriousNaru and Grimjacke are both incredible PvP players and they would probably know better. They both stream on Twitch, but otherwise don't make youtube videos. Vallun has a lot of WvW builds that he publishes to youtube, and I believe he often recommends them for PvP as well.

It's actually a bit of a hot take on my side, but I am very glad they didn't add more elite specs into the game. The balancing between the current ones are already a nightmare, and the mechanics bloat was kinda crazy (looking at Virt and Mech, haha...). They've already decoupling the weapons from the older elite specs and a lot of classes feel a lot better to play because of it :D

      They used Druid/Scourge for the legendary version of the fight, which currently has about 700 players that have cleared it. For Embodiment of Sin, all teams that cleared (3 teams + 1 reclear) ran a very specific team comp... which is actually the team comp that I had theorycrafted for world's first :)

      Derailing a bit: I actually wonder if the title is even possible now since Deadeye got nerfed yesterday. The entire purpose of the double heal chrono + scourge stack is because it's the only combination that can handle the insane healing pressure while also bringing movement traversals like Portal and Sandswell, and Deadeye was a major piece in keeping up with the DPS check. Hmm...
