@ChaatNChat i got popped by art teacher to for not drawing something she asked. She wantes us to draw a woman i think, she smacked me so hard on my.face. i suck at drawing anything arts. That was my last day at school, my dad me got out the school. 😂
@@IMBLESSED-oe6dl on the other hand my art teacher at school saw my drawing and hugged me ❤ it's when I was in 6th standard and now when Im in college I've got a psychology professor who tells us to explore rather than being stuck on a thing, as we're in a nursing course, to open us up with genders he ask us questions like 'name 10 girls/boys (girls for boys and boys for girls) you find pretty or attractive' or tell us to tell any bad thing about him or roast him (with limitations and respect as a teacher like u can't straight up cuss him)
So I feel lucky god gave me such amazing teachers 😊

I howl and cry like a mad person when I see this movie because I am on autism spectrum and was undiagnosed until 28. Society tried to mould me into something and I changed myself to such a level that I didn't know who I was and how to even function. I reclaimed my life by breaking away from everything and everyone.
I am so sorry you had to go through that. I'm glad that you were eventually able to take control back. 🙏🏻❤️

1:50 boarding schools can feel like a prison when your parents drop you off. And they made the colour bleak and gray just like how Ishaan felt inside. But in reality boarding schools are so much fun once we get adjusted. You make friends for life long and the whole school becomes one family. It’s like a second home. But yes the first few weeks or maybe the year feels like a prison. Or maybe even while living there might feel like a prison. But once you leave boarding school, you realise how much the place meant to you. I felt the same. :)
thank you, i was just about to comment the same. i went to boarding school in my mid teens and absolutely hated the initial couple of weeks. it was an entirely different story after that. i have asked my parents why they didn't admit me earlier lol
Depends on the person . My friend went to a boarding school and the most messed up thing her parents did was that they didn’t tell her . They told her that they’re going on a vacation and dropped her off . She came back after 3 years and she had lost all the life in her . She was my bestfriend full of life , fun and an overall loud and happy kid but nothing about her was the same . She had lost the shin in her eyes and went so quiet . I don’t wanna say this but I hate her parents and I’m never gonna be a parent like them in a million years .

Hi, just in case you were wondering:
I know this might seem like an overly harsh depiction of Indian schooling but it’s pretty realistic. Don’t get me wrong, there are teachers with good hearts and the right approach. But more often than not, they are strict and impatient, itching to inflict corporal punishment (fortunately, most can’t anymore because parents aren’t okay with it). This movie was pivotal in raising awareness about neurodivergence and learning disabilities. I doubt it was ever even considered in “normal” schools before.

I want to tell you guys something most important, this child is showing India' s middle class family mental perspective. This happens in majority of India. Physical torture, mental torture, emotional torture by parents, relatives, neighborhood, teachers society etc. These things are common in middle class and lower middle class families in India. That 's why most number of people who dies by doing suicides are India if you compare with around the world. Unfortunately this is the truth.😢😢

Miguel reminds me of my dad. We used to watch films together. He would cry buckets watching them and I used to check in between whether he's actually liking it or not 😂. My dad passed away in 2022. I relate so much to this movie. A year before it was released, I went to boarding school in class 1 in 2008. From class 1 to 12, I stayed in boarding schools away from home. My vacation breaks were only a month or two, which was really traumatic at first. But looking back now, I realize that it made me mentally and emotionally stronger, and much more independent. This movie brings back so many memories and emotions.
Im a psychology student and my teacher showed us this movie when we were studying about learning disabilities

We loved this movie so much. Miguel's heart is still racing .. we just watched Tumbbad 😄 He doesn't care for scary movies but he watched it with me because he is a good sport 😊

After I watched this movie I think I had dislexia too. My school textbooks used to look exactly the same. Also I never could write with force. As I grew up I realised my hands were too shaky to put pressure. Not sure why. But I think it's something nerve related. It was my teachers that I am thankful. They let me take exam even after an hour after the exam ends. So I never failed. Almost. But I always liked oral test. I was good too

I work for the betterment of PwDs (Persons with Disabilities) and its heart wrenching to see how people treat them.
Saying words like he's blind , he's crazy/ mad or he's deaf really hurts them. Instead, you can say Visually impaired or Hearing impaired. They deserve to be loved and respected too.
I CAN SEE HOW MUCH THE OLD GOT AFFECTED Y ISHAAN CONDITIONS I CAN SEE TEARS IN HIS EYES AND THAT HE IS GOING TO CRY. MAY BE HE HAD SIMILAR CHILDHOOD WHEN NOBODY UNDERSTOOD HIM

When i was in school i used to score full marks in science but when i got promoted to higher classes there was a newbee teacher appointed for our science class, she really didn’t know how to teach or deal with kids. One day she asked me a question infront of the whole class and i wasn’t really prepared with that chapter so i took like 2 minutes to think and answer but ended up answering it correctly. She lowkey screamed at me infront of the whole class and said "I am pretty sure you are cheating! You must have written it on your desk and read it out, that is why it took you 2 minutes to answer" and the whole class started laughing at me. The girl sitting beside me defended me and said there was nothing written on my desk but the teacher still ridiculed me and humiliated me for being a "bad student", as if she ever saw my scores. After that day i felt so humiliated i got a fever and social anxiety for life. I refused to go back to school and stopped studying. I would be in my room all day and stay away from people. I never got treated like that in school even though i did nothing wrong. My parents had to take me to therapy and after 1 year of being afraid of school i started studying again but got homeschooled this time. I am 21 now and still have social anxiety and avoid talking to people but i have learned to defend myself and fight my fear to some extent.
Its crazy how teachers can make a difference in a kid’s life. We need more teachers who gets children, understands them, knows how to work with them. There should be better training programs for teachers and especially in my country where the education system is trash

The thing is how we have changed our traditional education system and adapted the established system by William Bentinck's.
The schools in the west, they don't operate like this anymore. But we are still following the same system. Failed to understand that each child has a speciality and needs to be handled accordingly. A nations growth fundamentally depends how our youth are perceiving the knowledge that will lead to a better future for both the country and the student but we as a country are so behind, maybe we are lost. Until, there is no change, there will be frustration, there will be broken knowledge, there will be suffering and ultimately this impacts the nation.
