I'm a Special Ed teacher from India. When I was looking at programs to get my teaching degree no one in my country knew what SpecEd was other than moderate to severe disabilities (down syndrome, FAS, CP, etc). No one knew what learning disabilities, autism, adhd, etc was within school systems, and I ended up doing my teacher prep in the US. This was in 2016, so that should give you a good idea of how new SpecEd in India is and how accurately the film portrayed the teachers' and parents' reactions to Ishaan. There's an incredible amount of stigma attached to it and those who are SpecEd teachers back home have their work cut out for them when it comes to demystification and psychoeducation.
I am so thankful there are people like you in this world. That is not an easy job. I have a few friends that are SpecEd teachers as well. Thank you for all that you do for the kids that the system would otherwise forget about / ignore 🙏🏻❤️ also thank you for watching this with us 😊

As an asian, the teacher reading out scores/grades is normal here yet it truly is embarrassing- it's one of the causes of bullying, pressure and low self-esteem, and also competition in the classroom.
Yes Josh, here in India as you might know the schools are pretty strict with the discipline and neatness. Clean shoes, tucked in shirt ,tied hair (for girls) and hair with oil ,clipped nails, No nail polishes etc are compulsory things. Yes that's strict but best thing in Indian schools I think. Helps you focus more on studies and less distractions in teenage years where you are tend to get distracted.

Its not that common for couples to kiss before leaving for work or leaving in general. Also don’t know about current school teaching system, but our generation and the generations before us didn’t have teachers who could understand what dyslexic people are and hence such a treatment. This movie was made to educate both parents and teachers about dyslexia and that’s why people love this movie. Its a harsh reality of how parents and people in general are not aware of these things.

Indian Schools are strict, i still remember we were checked every morning nails, no long hair for noys, pleated hair for girls, clean shoes, uniform,no makeup. Everything..
So in asian countries like ours, when we're told to get out of the class it usually means we should stand outside of the class for as long as that teacher is teaching. Also, in US, you change classroom for different classes but here, the teachers come to the classroom where they have to teach.
As an Indian, who hears people make fun of Indian to follow some western culture, every part of the movie made me feel that you guys are really humble and understanding through awareness and that's something for us also to learn

As a student of New Era High School, Panchgani! I vividly remember this movie. I was a part of the whole sched all through my summer vacations. I had just moved to the 7th grade. This movie made a change to the way parents saw education as the only basis of a child's life quality.
i'm new to this channel and generally people make videos on india for views but your hindi prooves you are not only doing this for views but you actually are dedicated!😍

this film really hits home for me. The parts filmed in Ishaan's boarding school were actually shot in a real English medium school in the hill station of panchgani, near my hometown. It's really beautiful hill station. My mother, who's a secondary school teacher in near by other hill Station, used to take the bus to work every day. She once told me she used to take me along to see the shooting of the movie, And! she even got Amir Khan's signature on the back of her diary! That's cool right? But, I was just a little two year old at that time, so I don't remember any of it. ❤❤❤❤😍
Oh i still remeber the day i saw this movie. I was home (from hostel) for vacation and cried my gut out. Even seeing the small clips in this video is making me tear up. How many years pass this is a classic movie Fact: this is the movie that bought the discussion on dyslexia into to the forefront. Including me a big majority of Indians came to know about dyslexia through this movie
I love hearing all of these stories people have about the movie and their connection to it. Thank you so much for sharing. This is so much more than just a movie, people have connected to it in ways that a normal movie just can't do. 🙏🏼❤️
Our teacher made us watch this movie in 4th grade, we only had an hour so we couldn't finish it. When I got home, I told my mom to watch it and told her Ishaan looks like my little brother. Now I've watched it more than 10 times and I still cry. Ishaan and my brother had a lot of similarities, from the eyes, the teeth and they're both artists.
my parents were like that too (a little less) and specially since my family is military, it was more strict. my parents have calmed down now and dont do that stuff anymore after i developed depression and anxiety and tried to take my own life. i have been to therapy and doing much better, but yeah. they still dont understand half the time but ive learned to speak out my thoughts and communicate my needs more, so they sometimes listen. i also have spoken up for myself if they get mad or make me feel less.
I'm glad to hear you are doing better and working through. It is very sad when a family dynamic is like that. I am glad that you made it through and that you are here sharing this heartfelt story. ❤️🙏🏼
I am an indian and strict discipline and clean uniforms are maintained by all. I was brought up this way and it made me who i am today and i am so proud of myself. I thank all my teachers and parents.
Yes, back home the schools had these checks everyday where they check the shoes are polished, hair has oil and is combed, nails are cut. I went to school in India and had these checks every day/week... Yes, the teaches make naughty students stand outside, sometimes with their hands above their heads, or they make them stand on their bench for the whole class with their hands up... The waterfront you saw in Mumbai is off Marine Drive and Juhu Beach which is very famous and several Bollywood stars live along that waterfront...
Teachers in India are like that. I was slow learner in school and they traumatised me so much made fun of me and talked things about me to other teachers like they judged me for things i havent done like boyfriends and all i did not know even what is a relationship in class 6 and my teacher slapped me bcz there was a senior that liked me and always around me and i was happy that somebody cares about me bcz m single child of a single parent so attention matter for me then not now* but i did not knew anything sexual that time i swear and she said something bad that i cant tell here! 🙂 that hurt me till now that how can she judge a child for something a child dont know about!
And everybody appericiate me so much for my capabilities and brain . Never got any appriciation or help for my studies . Just want my children homeschooled within my care ❤

17:15 that place name is marine drive ❤
Thanks, I never knew what it was called before
At 0:17 and good that people still request this movie even after all these years and that it has 324k views. I mean people still request kkhh, k3g and sholay then this is not a big deal. Just gotta keep new people on same page man, i watched sholay and 90s movies, etc so its doable.
4:02 i am from Gujarat, India and in my city, Rajkot, many people from many countries come to fly their kits here in my city. you both should also come.
I would love to go there some day. It would be an awesome trip.
As a student of New Era High School, Panchgani! I vividly remember this movie. I was a part of the whole sched all through my summer vacations. I had just moved to the 7th grade. This movie made a change to the way parents saw education as the only basis of a child's life quality.
i'm new to this channel and generally people make videos on india for views
but your hindi prooves you are not only doing this for views but you actually are dedicated!😍
Thanks for noticing that. We actually did a whole QnA series that you can watch if you have time. In it I explain my whole connection to India and how I learned Hindi. 🙏🏻❤️😊
I was devastated when I watched it for the first time. Never got the courage to watch it again. Watching along with you guys after so many years.....
great movie with good message just like 3 idiots i am glad you reacted on it 🙃
It was so good. Loved it. Glad it was recommended 🙏🏻❤️
What a happiness I received just by seeing you talking in our language "Hindi" thanks a bunch
😃🙏🏻❤️
this film really hits home for me. ❤❤❤❤😍
Wow, great story! Thanks for sharing. This movie means a lot to so many people and I love hearing all of the stories ❤️🙏🏼
This is so cute. ❤ Cutest reaction video of Taare Zameen Per I have seen. One of the best movies I have seen from the Bollywood.
Thank you for watching with us 😊❤️
Oh i still remeber the day i saw this movie. I was home (from hostel) for vacation and cried my gut out.
Even seeing the small clips in this video is making me tear up. How many years pass this is a classic movie
Fact: this is the movie that bought the discussion on dyslexia into to the forefront. Including me a big majority of Indians came to know about dyslexia through this movie
I love hearing all of these stories people have about the movie and their connection to it. Thank you so much for sharing. This is so much more than just a movie, people have connected to it in ways that a normal movie just can't do. 🙏🏼❤️
Kudos..You said everything in Introduction in Hindi...❤
🙏🏻☺️
How?
@@ChaatNChat of course. i want people to know that they're not alone, and that there are people always there to listen!! c:
I watched the movie minimum of 10 times with the reviewers😂😂
Almost perfect ❤❤❤
Koshish karta 😅❤️🙏🏼
i cant help but compare ishaan's life to my own childhood and it always gets me to tears
Finished this movie yesterday, and I cried a lot. Amazing movie with a great message. The actors were also great.

@@SumitGoswami-xo8ox Which movie do you prefer?
Teachers in India are like that. I was slow learner in school and they traumatised me so much made fun of me and talked things about me to other teachers like they judged me for things i havent done like boyfriends and all i did not know even what is a relationship in class 6 and my teacher slapped me bcz there was a senior that liked me and always around me and i was happy that somebody cares about me bcz m single child of a single parent so attention matter for me then not now* but i did not knew anything sexual that time i swear and she said something bad that i cant tell here! 🙂 that hurt me till now that how can she judge a child for something a child dont know about!
I am better in canada now living happy life in a good company in a good position .❤
And everybody appericiate me so much for my capabilities and brain . Never got any appriciation or help for my studies . Just want my children homeschooled within my care ❤

It felt good when you pointed out it is dyslexia just be the sentence 'the letters are dancing'.....Its so bad that most of the society is unaware about such situations that kids face....
Aamir Khan is one of the best directors. Fine visual imagery in this one with meanings everywhere
This movie is very special for me, the world has a message for those fallow starts, dude your reaction was very good, and thank you for making such a good reaction to the movie.
4:47 The famous excuse for indian students is they have done the homework but they left it at home.

Amir khan is one of the best actor & a person who does these special movies rather than doing what others are doing in bollywood ❤
You're in for a lifetime of an emotional ride. It'll surely be 1 among your all-time favourite films.
If sports were also inlcuded as grades in schools for passing on to next semester or class .... There would have been more olympic medals in our country too..
