I don’t follow recipes, I only follow my heart 😆 For the sauce, I started with onions and garlic then I sautéed ground turkey, then added fresh tomatoes, diced, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, water. And I simmered it for a few hours! Then frozen veggies and some ricotta cheese. Next time I make it, I promise I’ll add a recipe 😂💗

Hi Victoria! Thanks for the comment. I believe what you are describing is related to the improper storage of cooked rice- bacillus cereus or "fried rice syndrome". The possibility of this bacteria is not only present in cooked rice, but also uncooked rice and it's severity depends on the storage conditions once cooked (and this applies to many starches, not just rice)! I have a Master's Degree in Public Health Nutrition so I understand your concern, and I also don't believe in fear mongering. From author Leong et. al., "The outcome of B. cereus illness varies dramatically depending on the pathogenic strain encounter and the host's immune system. B. cereus causes a self-limiting, diarrheal illness caused by heat-resistant enterotoxin proteins, and an emetic illness caused by the deadly toxin named cereulide. Maybe they cook 6 different types of meals for the week and freeze some extras?! Do you keep them in the freezer?
@@nurfatihah6751 Thank you so much for your comment and question!
I usually prep 5 days at a time. I store days 1-3 in the fridge (I keep my fridge set to 34-36° F) and days 4-5 in the freezer (I keep my freezer at -2°F).
Safe food storage to mitigate bacterial growth is multifaceted ~ the length of time the food sits out to cool after cooking, the storage temperature of the food and the water content of the food itself.
Freezing prepared food gives it a longer life and mitigates the risk of spoiling/bacteria. The USDA had a giant chart on their website and the general recommendation is below 40° F for refrigerated foods. I like to keep my refrigerator colder, and I have it set to 34-36° F, and I don't recommend refrigerating meal prep for more than 4 days at that temp, after that I recommend freezing!

Rice is actually dangerous to use after 24 hours after being cooked. Look into it, I hope you find a great substitute.

Hey, thanks for your comment! There’s actually a lot of protein in all of these meals. Each one has a significant amount and I have a Master’s degree from NYU in PH Nutrition! 🤗 there’s ground turkey in both the lunch and dinner but protein doesn’t only come from meat 👍
What is that so u cool rice fora week
Thats unhealthy tho. Rice can have molding with time. I would not cook not fresh rice .
Hi Samira, thanks for sharing your opinion. The temperature at which the rice is stored will determine the amount of “mold”. If it’s stored at a cold temperature, it’s ok.
"Red sauce" very cultured
Hi, thanks for the comment but is there something wrong with calling it “red sauce”?
@lovelybylisa only realised now my comment comes off as being an asshole ,sorry Lisa, I meant that compared to basic marinara sauces yours is cultured with everything you have in it.
Happy Christmas 🎄
@@MultiMickoo Thanks for clarifying, Michael, I appreciate it! I'm part Italian and I love adding nutrients to more traditional dishes. 🥰 Wishing you a Happy Christmas, too! 🎄
I don't think this meal prep works for weight loss!!
Hi! Thanks for the comment! It all depends on portion sizes and energy expenditure. It’s not the types of foods that determine weight loss, rather the amount of food.
😋👍🇨🇱
Muchas gracias ☺️
All jokes to the side tho, why you gonna do the macaroni like that
Hahaha what's wrong with how it's prepared 😂
it looks cool but those sauces are little bit to much green for me lol, that's it. good work tho @@lovelybylisa
@@james222fly8 thank you! What would you put into your sauce instead!? 😋
@@lovelybylisa diced tomato with little bit ground beef, how that sound ? And add special sauce
@@james222fly8 wonderful! whatever works for ya!!
We have to make everyday fresh na baby why are you eating like this
Thank you so much for the comment! 😆I’m doing it this way because I live in a capitalistic society🤪 in the United States so I work too much and I don’t have enough time to cook fresh food for myself every day! 😩
People actually watch this😂lord help us
Was this kind of mean comment necessary?
Considering you've put out a video for this rhe opener makes no sense.
Hey! Thanks for the comment, but I'm not sure what you mean.
