I just bought a CRV in perfect condition. Steering wheel is also perfect but I couldn't belive how cheaply it's made. Thank God I searched and I found your vedio.
I own a 2013 Honda CR-V LX that I've been wanting to do some upgrades to. (It's my first car and I wanna make it my own). That starts with the worn out trim pieces and steering wheel! Thanks to this video I ordered myself a new steering wheel. I already painted the trim pieces and installed them in my car. Looking forward to installing my new wheel as well. Down the line: Tint, Sound System, Headlights/Taillights, and maybe a new Headunit with Apple Carplay!
I replaced the steering wheel in my 2016 CRV because it was worn just as shown in the video. This was actually fairly easy (thanks in part to the video). It took me less than 90 minutes. I got stuck on how to remove the horn and air bag connectors - they are both held in place with slight pressure from the black tabs. Prying the connectors free was easy once I understood what was holding them in place.
2016 is probably one of the better modern CRV years. Just make sure it doesn't have any weird vibration problems coming from the engine before you buy it
@@JackofAllMasterofNone long story-short story, is import from US to Europe, low milage, all oil changed, only sometimes at traffic stop light little shake, nothing big, fresh cvt oil resolve problem but its back again. Not always but only sometimes happen. After 1 years of owning I'm happy with everything, consumption, ride feal, capibility...
What year is this CRV?? I have a 2014 and the interior of this car is so nice! The radio system, where the gear is, etc. I’m looking to modify mine and just looking up specs
Hey, I have a 2012 CR-V and want to upgrade the steering wheel to the leather one, tell me why I should not do that, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you!

This is a 2013
I have a 2016 G4 SE and was thinking MAYBE a civic si wheel might work of similar year….
What’s the reason why you disconnect only the negative terminal and not negative and positive? Thank you
You can disconnect both. But it's just as effective to only disconnect the ground.
Awesome project as always! Thanks for sharing! Your subscriber and a fellow DIYer RUclipsr.
Do you have to remove the steering wheel to remove the bottom cover?
No
Too many people must have watched this - the leather wheel is well over $200 now!
Inflation is no joke, especially with auto parts.
First thing that I did right away when I got mine was change the horn.
What horn did you put in it?
@@MasterChief773 from a same year ridgeline into a 2012 cr-v
Don't ever ever ever pull on a steering wheel to take it off. Ask me why
Did you punch yourself in the face?
