Is a 2010 a reliable trans? Looking at one because of budget. Know the engines are strong. It's a 1 owner with all service records. Garage kept. 143,000 miles.
Transmission Judder is no big deal. It's just the fluid breaking down. Change the fluid and it's good to go. Surprisingly, the transmissions in this generation have been exceptionally reliable. They are dirt cheap in the salvage yards which is the tell tale sign. The VTC actuator is a disappointment, I've seen cars with as low as 50k miles make the noise. But those engines are far better than the newer "Earth Dreams" ones that attempt to get better fuel economy with lighter piston ring tension...all at the expense of oil burning and carbonization. CAFE standards are destroying car reliability. Whether it be Honda, Toyota, Ford, or anybody else. The government needs to stop because all they're doing is costing those who can least afford repairs a lot of money.
Excellent summary thanks.
I have a 2015 2WD AT 2.0 engine w 66,000 km run so far no issues , Thailand version

Yes, the 5 speed transmission is very reliable if maintained and driven responsibly.

Proper maintenance is key. Most people just buy the car and drive it. Take care of stuff and you won’t have problems
