That takes me back, the early morning jobs on a clear day, the smell of a not yet warm diesel exhaust the rattle of cavitation and tea cups jangling. its a more high-tech world out there but I am glad I did the job.

I watch you guys bring in so many ships it was always interesting watching you guys turn them around. enjoyed watching. If you would have had a RUclips channel back then. I would have been yelling to you from the dock keep up the good work stay safe.

You as a creator have the option to put it in private for RUclips to finish processing the higher quality vids. The longer the video the longer it takes them to kickout the higher quality. Usually it's about half the time of the total video or less unless the quality is up to 8K.

Much respect to you tug guys. When I was stationed on Submarine, USN, I was a topside line handler, y'all were great to work with and your monkey fist slinging skills were always pro-ball. Thanks for what you do. Its one of those jobs that are out there, but not out there, very much in the shadows. I don't think people really realize how dangerous your work is....The size of the Maersk hull next to your boat, and the small line holding that ship in place...alot going on at the same time and the levels of danger is through the roof, especially with that line right in your face like that. Kudos brother. Was your tug the only one that was working with that ship??

First, I never realized just how disorienting it can be when alongside monster-sized vessels - I had a tough time telling when the tug was turning, when the ship was turning, and when both were turning. How do you stay oriented? Second: is there some sort of strain gauge that's on the capstan for the tow line which allows you to know just how much force you're putting forth - and perhaps more importantly, allows you to know how effectively you're working and how close you might be to snapping the line? Thanks in advance!
Yes there is a tonnage meter to let me know how hard I’m pulling. It’s really not hard to stay oriented probably the camera is messing with you. Thanks for watching 🤙

Isn't this an odd parking position of the window wipers, in the middle of the glass? Is this deliberate? (I have the same but thats my mistake not configuring the parking position correctly on the side before covering the motors with carpentry.)
