You cant compare emergency life boats with coastguard life boats, the "Emergency Life Boats" are strictly there for emergencies and safety of life at sea and getting away from the hazard providing the most life support as possible. the Coastguard "Life Boats" are rescue boats, boats to save lives. This is like comparing average people with zero medical background and a basic first aid kit at home, and an Emergency Room Doctor. The two are very different "things". Also, Pilot boats are similar aspects in design for Coastguard "Life Boats" but also used in extremely different jobs/roles. They are literally used to transport "pilots" (A senior harbour master/qualified and heavily experienced person to board incoming/outgoing commercial/government vessels. As well... again, you cannot compare Emergency Lifeboats and Emergency Life Rafts in the same video. Yes, same purpose but very different backgrounds and purpose of issuance.
I like how you don't have enough hovercraft footage so you run the same scene twice just flip it horizontally (scene of launching from car park). Was this video generated by AI? Was that even a real human voiceover?
As a mariner with ferry experience I would 100 percent disagree with you. It's extremely quick to load people and the large ones like this are very hard to capsize. It's ideal for shipsv with passengers
There's no doubt that all the braches of our military are incredible fit and extremely well trained !!! But in my mind , its the coast guard are hands down the craziest !!!!! What they do and in the conditions they do it in are just without words!!!!! The coast guard pass up the word skilled as soon as they sign the paper to inlist !!!!
All these very safe life boats are fine, but if you can make the rescue craft this safe, why not make the larger vessel this good in the first place. Instead we neglect it, while making safe life boats. Why.
Talk about a confusing video. Mini video clips had absolutely no relationship to the voiceover. Whoever put this together needs to take a basic video editing class.
As ships get larger, larger LBs will be needed. If they can't be loaded extremely fast and get away from the ship, they'll become part of the tragedy. So, speed of loading vs size / capacity, is an important factor. Get people in-and-away, asap. Also I noticed a max speed of these design is about 25knts. So, 300 off shore will mean 12 hours to rescue. How about a free-fall airplane launched LB?
12:00 speaking about zero emissions if mother ship sinks with hundreds thousands of liters gasoline in the tanks and thousands liters of oil in engine is more than funny.

Absolutely 100% correct.
That lifeboat that rights itself at the beginning of the video is what you want when the 2012 disaster strikes!
All the RNLI lifeboats have that even the inflatables/rigids have a tall frame with a flotation on top which helps in righting the craft
Wow, this is amazing and life will be ease for who is buying one of such boats and sail strait to the Cap Horn ;)
Good one we think the same 😃😃😃😃👍👍👍☘️
Why are pilot boats included in a list of “life boats”?
“An estimated 95% reduction in mechanical failures” 12:35 so that’s bullshit right there
Check out the NSRIs new ORC.
Nice Boats 😍
God bless the RNLI, unpaid voluntary organisation that has saved thousands of lives around the UK and Ireland.
When someone doesn't know the difference between a lifeboat and a rescue vessel...
Just google something together and bang! the RUclips film is ready.
I like how you don't have enough hovercraft footage so you run the same scene twice just flip it horizontally (scene of launching from car park). Was this video generated by AI? Was that even a real human voiceover?
I would be happy if the lifeboat was safer than the one sinking .
RNLI S is a LifeBoat??? That looks like a freaking yacht. At some point you have to stop calling them life saving boats.
AI sucks. The Coast Guard does not deploy people on “LIFEBOATS”. Those are “Ships”. 🤭
Why don't they ever show you the inside of these floating cork lifeboats???
sardine cans
Not convinced about a large inflatable lifeboat can take in a possible rough sea amidst chaos of evacuation and a sinking ship to the boot.
They are the real heroes. Not the clowns running around with a badge and a gun.
I have edited this video.❤
Really you are pushing garbage bags as safe for humans in a ship sinking in bad weather are you kidding me !
Video seems to confuse lifeboats with rescue vessels.
Loved to see one of these tested against big surf like jaws or something
2
1) Coast Guard 47 ft
2) Shannon-class lifeboat
I just cant see the Norse being used properly in an emergency - would be accidentally or panic launched before everyone is secure
panic everywhere
A rescue vessel is not an life boat. Ur title misleads. A common RUclips thread.
some of these are not lifeboats ??
most of them are not :)
learn the difference between life boats and patrol, rescue and search boats
These boats are in a class of their own!👍🏼👌🏼
Nice
Amazing
Which will be best suited for the zombie apocalypse?
It's not real unless it survives a Japanese tsunami
12:00 speaking about zero emissions if mother ship sinks with hundreds thousands of liters gasoline in the tanks and thousands liters of oil in engine is more than funny.
