Just FYI, you're good on the boat ramp. As long as the boat comes off (which now we know it does) then I wouldn't worry about being too deep. I've had my trucks quite deeper on a regular basis, and have never had any issues. Just don't back so far your tires go off the pad. You do gotta know your ramp.
Winter fishing needs winter baits , next time out try adding a chunk of garlic sausage to the hook ( treble hooks are best ) just swish it into a ball around the hooks so the tips are just say covered . And try plumbing the lake ( drop a weight on a line down to get the depth ) and set the float line to sit 6" off the bottom , keeps the line taught and lets the float do the self hooking when the fish takes the bait , iff the baits on the bottom the floats doing nothing other than marking the spot .
Nice fish man. Might be a record catfish catch on a lifeboat. 24:40. Wonder how the lifeboat would handle on the ocean since you mentioned slight winds on a lake make it impossible to navigate.

That first cat you got was a White Catfish that's why it looked so strange. They're a type of bullhead and that one was pretty much their maximum size.

It was damn cold up here on Dec 8. Here is what happened about 50 miles down river from my home. On Dec. 8, Michael John Drake of St. Albans, West Virginia, caught and released a blue catfish weighing 69.45 pounds and measuring 50.51 inches. Drake was fishing using cut shad from his fishing boat on the R.C. Byrd Pool of the Ohio River near Gallipolis. Drake’s record fish was measured by WVDNR hatchery manager Ryan Bosserman.

Went water-skiing for the first and only time at a cousin's lakefront home outside of Atlanta. It looks so effortless to watch others do it, like the boat does all the work -- but your legs and core will be aching if you manage to stay up for more than a few minutes. It ain't no joke.
On a side note. Your mini therapist commercial is actually a commercial worth representing. A few years ago during covid I was going through a divorce and was mentally at my lowest level I had ever been. An online therapist similar to that company pulled through for me and helped me get on the road to recovery. It's OK to admit you need help. There is always light at the end of the dark tunnel. You just need to keep fighting through everything that is trying to keep you down. It took me over a year but I am now happier and stronger mentally than I ever was. Much love to everyone. ❤💪🙏
