I also learned that the pushrod can hit the guide plate at full lift as well. Had to just touch them up with a die grinder. They were just kissing each other. I had this slightest tap nose randomly. Lucky it didn’t mess up my pushrods.
Is there a reason you don’t start at TDC on #1 and then do each consecutive firing order turning the motor a 1/4 for the next cylinder? I’ve seen people do it the way you show in the video but it seems like turning the motor over an excessive amount that isn’t needed.
It’s not as accurate. With hydraulic lifter preload it’s not as critical, but when you start setting mechanical lash on a large cam with a lot of overlap, it’s easily seen that the EVO/IVC method is more accurate.
Thank You Brent for a great video. Always wanted to see this done start to finish.
Good-looking stuff!
Thanks Brent! Nice to have a weekday video.
Nice job as always Brent.
Thanks Brent for another great video

Have you got a name or part number for that adjustment tool? Cheers
😊
Good looking engine, black with them gold rockers! Shame to cover them up.
have you tried running them down almost bottomed out?
Dad always want one full turn, is that an issue. Ford motorsport hydraulic lifters from 1992, never seemed to be a problem??? TIA

How much are you expecting it to make?
PS. I know you say a part of the video is boring to the viewer, that's the part most of the time I would like to see.😊
GREAT VIDEO AS USUAL 😊
