My condolences on the loss of your Grandfather. Every time I here the line “I wish Grandpa’s never died” in that country song it brings back any and all great memory’s with my Grandpa. We’ll see them again one day. In the meantime keep making him proud with your incredible engine building and teaching skills.
Condolences to you and your family, Brent. There are very few people today with the appreciation and knowledge your Grandfather had. People like him made America a great country and at least he won't live to see it all ripped apart as it is today. Thanks for being a decent human.
Reminds me of my great grandfather. He always said buy the biggest engine you can get. He drove a 460 Lincoln until the retirement home. Your grandfather sounds like a good man. RIP.
Yes after that early baffle you have ford went to the flat baffle with the slight curved ridge thru the middle and no raised section where the pcv/fill cap fits, a pain with non stock rocker gear.

No mention of solids vs. drilled (oiling hole or not), especially on the FE..?
Can sand the gasket surface of the valve cover, then glue the gaskets to it. Load spreaders also help with those flimsy covers.
My dream FE is a 1960 352 360 hp factory specs. If I win the lotto, I want you to build me one!. Hey, ya have to think positive.
