Dunno man, the boyfriend is right to be on guard around her now. How about some context relative to the issue from her here? She gave plenty of details that don't matter about her bf's family to drag him, but neglected to explain the reason for the cheating. Or how he came to "find out," like it's none of his bizness, even tho he's in a relationship that could lead to marriage, and her cheating again.
More important to the story - Why she didn't reveal it sooner? Is she sorry she did it? Does she realize that type of behavior can never be justified and reflects weak character, no matter the "reason" for doing it? Or is it all about her bf's sensitivity and his inability to "accept her for who she is?"
A wise man once gave some advice I'd offer to the boyfriend in this situation to help him understand he's got a partner with potential to cheat - "Uh, well, you know - You get what you pay for, sweetheart."

Honestly she needs to break up and move on, she doesn’t really love him. She basically says it in her words she wants break up but her child years are coming to a close. She is only with him for children not for love. Its not fair to him and its not fair to herself! But from what it sounds like too she is looking for problems that aren’t there in the relationship and while looking for a out. Which says a lot from her past cheating and now looking leave her current relationship it means she can’t stay in healthy relationships. If she doesn’t address it, eventually she’ll be 60 and been 100 relationships that have failed because she can’t be happy in any of them.

Advice for people who cheated. Your only option is to be up-front about it from the start. They will find out and it will ruin things. Your only chance it to be accountable for your past. It sucks cause first 3 months you have to justify why things are different now and how it wont happen again but people eventually realize they preferred to hear it from you rather than finding out themselves 6 months in.

He should count his blessings and stop playing the victim.

    • @anthonyrusso6696

She left out a lot of context. She shared plenty of personal details about him to make him sound damaged. Yet she neglected to explain herself for cheating, which is fundamentally the issue here. Also how did the current guy come to "find out" about the cheating, from her or someone else? More importantly: is she even sorry? She never said so. Does she understand how her behavior reflects on her character and impacts the people around her? Again, she wrote nothing about that. So how am I supposed to know that she learned anything from her past? Shouldn't he try to figure out if she's going to be faithful and accountable? Does the guy deserve time to size these things up before marrying her? That level of trust isn't earned overnight. Or is this always going to be about his inadequacies, his sensitivity and his inability to "accept her"?
For sure, he should be able to make a decision and act on it. But in the meantime, she's clouding the issue by emasculating him and trying to browbeat him into marriage. Why advertise him as "not an alpha male"? That's a really weird way to describe a man you supposedly love. Why share all his family trauma? It doesn't seem relevant, he sounds successful and well adjusted. The fly in the ointment is her cheating. Maybe if she takes ownership and gives him reassurance, they'll be able to move past it. Instead, she seems inclined to blame him for her own transgressions.
