The term gas lighting comes from a movie called, The Gaslight (1944). Basically the new husband in the movie constantly makes small changes around the house, moving furniture, dimming gaslights and pretending it was always that way causing the wife to question her sanity. Of course he's doing all this for a nefarious purpose....

Gaslight is a 1944 film. It's a psychological thriller in which the husband lies to his wife not knowing that she can see the Gaslight dim when he goes into another room an turns on. It's a great flick and is where the term "gaslight" first became widely known. It's probably from a book or short story before then. Thanks and GFY.

If I had to take a guess the term "gas lighting" stems from AAVE where it was commonly used as "gas" as in "don't gas me up" meaning don't fill me up with bullshit or try to get me to believe something that you know isn't true right in my face. Hope that helps.
Women will never acknowledge they like the outside attention they get, because if they do, that means men are justified in seeking a little bit of outside attention. Let him snapchat some cuties.
I dont think the issue is whether either gender likes attention outside of their relationship. The issue is if you're in a committed relationship, is seeking that attention disrespectful to the person you're with, hurtful, and disloyal? There are tons of things that people like that you wouldn't want in a relationship. The obvious extreme example is infidelity, yeah both genders probably enjoy having sex with other people but is that a violation of the relationship you're in?
Agreed. The episode where she said women couldn't live on 4k per month after a divorce was baffling. Also, she shows more gums than teeth when she smiles. That's some weird shit.
