Yes I have some Chrysler vans that i have been told you have to take the car to be programmed with a scan tool type deal I sure enjoy my Chevys and older Fords I can do this myself
I think what has happened is, when I bought it used a year and a half ago, the previous owner must have had keyless entry and it either broke or he lost it. The previous code from that keyless is still in the system and I'll need to have that cleared before I can program a new one. I have just read that that can happen. I may give another try.
What the F happened , dude ? You look like you were taken hostage by a pissed off quilting club or something .. Dayum ... I let the fingernails pass , and man , am I glad that you held off doing the selfy until last . I'll have fewer nightmares this way ....dayum !
@@RobTacklebox idk. a wire in the tailgate broke and i replaced it, then the switchboard went out witch is what the remote connects to. then when i reconnected the remote it refused to connect. ive never heard of this problem the key fob worked before

Tried an aftermarket fob on my '08 Trailblazer LS. In fact, I tried two of them. Neither one would fully connect. Some gremlins in the SUV system?
I’ve had zero issues Mine are still working great
Maybe your model requires a scan tool being newer or has more options
