As a previous CELTA trainee who got the A pass, I would say that your videos provide ample materials to get through. It's hard-work, your videos and listening to your tutors.

Hi Hasham- that's very kind feedback on my materials - thank you! The hard work is certainly true and listening to your tutors is the topic of the third video in this series- coming tomorrow!

Thank you so much for your efforts and inputs Jo. I just finished my CELTA with a Pass A and would live to say that it takes hard work, dedication and less night sleep.
    Thanks again! :)

Hi Jihad - yes- the lack of sleep is a common experience for all grades! Congratulations on your Pass A :)

I start a CELTA course in 2 weeks. It is a 4 week course and I have to try to keep my business running at the same time. I am, to say teh least, trepidcaious and so keep avoiding looking at my books. I think these videos will help me to focus and calm my fears.

Personal development and learning to keep self motivated, through out our careers are the big lessons learnt on CELTA.

A pass A is possible. It's true that I was told from the beginning (during the interview) to forget about it and focus on just getting a pass. As time went on, I was called upon by one of my tutors and she told me a few things to improve on if I wanted to get an A. I listened, improved on it and got an A. I gave it my all. Getting an A in CELTA is tough, but definitely a rewarding experience.

Hi there- congratulations on your Pass A- that’s great and of course it’s possible but it’s probably a better idea to focus on what to improve rather than chasing an A grade!

@@elttraining or do both. I don't think both are mutually exclusive. There's no way you're chasing an A grade without going through the rigourous learning process and improving. I'm saying you can be rewarded for your effort if you really work hard and know that you can get an A. If you don't work towards it , you probably won't get it.

I still do not grasp the Cambridge concept to demotivate trainees to struggle for Pass A. During the interview, they asked me about my desired grade. After my sincere confession that my only aim was Pass A, they kept persuading me to forget about it. I don't like keeping my expectations low.
Anyway, I survived the course and got my Pass A. But I had a lot of arguments with my co-trainees convinced that they would get their certificates whatever just because they had been accepted to the course.

Interesting story:) Were the interviewers British?
Grade A might open new career prospects👍😎

I don't think it's about 'demotivating' people- perhaps just setting realistic expectations. Congratulations on your Pass A, though!

@@pnesterova A grade A is, of course, a great thing when you are looking for a job, but CELTA opens up great job opportunities with any grade!

I too got A, and never found it toiling in the sun. It was a fun experience; however, It might be challenging for those who want to do it for time-passing-teaching or those having no teaching background. No offence.

It is essentially a British certificate. Where else they should be from?
